"Tabla’s brand of elevated Desi fare is now offered in three different locations across the city, but, no matter the locale, the fare consistently impresses. It’s hard to find soft-shell crab pakoras (a spiced fritter), Keralan-style mussels (mussels sauteed with ginger, garlic, and spices), or luscious paya served with lachha paratha (crispy flatbread) served anywhere else in the city. Plush lamb chops and a redolent palak gosht (spicy spinach masala curry) have been known to induce head wobbling." - Faiyaz Kara

The goat curry was the best. It was so flavorful and the meat was large and tender. The garlic naan was also a hit. The lamb chops weren’t worth it. They weren’t as tender as the lamb meat we got in the curry, but the charred onions were super flavorful. I would steer towards the Indian foods and curry at this restaurant, every single one we got was delicious.

Title: Mixed Experience at Tabla Indian Restaurant I recently visited Tabla Indian Restaurant in Orlando, FL, and overall, it was a mixed experience. Let's start with the positives. The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed evening out. The decor is tasteful, and the lighting sets the mood just right. The service at Tabla Indian Restaurant deserves praise as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to address any requests and made sure we had a comfortable dining experience throughout our visit. However, where Tabla fell short was in the quality of the food. While the menu offered a variety of enticing options, the execution was lacking. The flavors seemed watered down, missing the depth and richness that are expected from authentic Indian cuisine. This was especially disappointing considering the restaurant's reputation and the expectations set by the ambience and service. Despite these shortcomings, I believe Tabla Indian Restaurant has the potential to improve and deliver a more consistent and flavorful dining experience. With some adjustments to their cooking techniques and ingredient quality, they could easily elevate their dishes to match the excellent ambience and service they provide. Overall, I would rate Tabla Indian Restaurant 4 stars. The great ambience and service are commendable, but the quality of the food, particularly the lack of depth in flavors, is what holds it back from a higher rating.

Small but cute restaurant that's connected to a hotel. The decor is simple but on the fancier end. We read the reviews and we're very nervous about what to expect based on all the negative things we read. I will say that the service was really good. The waiter was quick and respectful and very helpful. The appetizers were good. One was way better than the other but still good. The kebab we got was actually the only disappointing food we ate there. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what we were expecting I guess. We thought we were getting actual lamb chunks grilled and it ended up being a plate of ground kebab. Not what we thought we ordered. It tasted fine but not what we wanted or expected. The butter chicken was the star. We loved eating it with the garlic naan. Overall it was a great experience. I'm glad we didn't let all the negative reviews stop us from trying this place out.

The very best Indian food we have found in the last two years after moving from SoCal. SoCal has some fantastic Indian food so when we moved to The Villages, we were very disappointed. A friend recommended Tabla, and he was right. The food is incredible. The flavors outstanding. The service by Shruti was over the top. We will definitely be back with friends!

The appetizer platter was absolutely fantastic! Delicious and impeccably arranged. The atmosphere was inviting, and the proximity to the outlets and Universal Studios was a bonus. With both buffet and off-menu options, there's something for everyone. Plus, the service was excellent. Overall, a delightful experience!

Their food was amazing! It was my first trip to Florida and my family and I decided to visit this restaurant. The staff was super friendly and all the food was delicious! Usually I take pictures of all the food but I was so hungry I didn’t get the chance. I would highly recommend making a trip here, even if it is out of your way!

It had a pleasant atmosphere, but the service was slow and average; the manager brought us water after I waived him down. The lamb Biryani was good, but the lamb was scarce compared to the rice $24 seemed high for the amount of meat. The garlic naan was good, and the samosas were tasty even though the sauces both had heat to them. My wife had the chicken madras, and it was good, and medium heat was perfect.

Nice Indian food restaurant in which the service was quite good. The food was delicious but nothing surprising, at least the dishes I ordered. They have a very extensive menu which I would need to return to give it another chance.
