"Crispy portobello fries made with truffle oil, red chile flakes, and grana padano are the way nights in Steamboat should start. The rustic charm and dimly lit interior at Table 79 make for a memorable dining experience over offerings of elevated and unique comfort food." - Josie Sexton, Lucy Beaugard

The place is contemporary with touch of local. Mushroom fries and winter salad was both refreshing. We ordered steak and poke. About steak, the quality of meat was good. I ordered it rare, it was a little over cooked for a rare steak. But the taste was rich. The steak was served on the corner of the plate, and I wasn’t served with a steak knife. It adds some difficulty to it. Regarding the poke, the taste was balanced. But the rice was old. It was left overnight in the refrigerator at least. The rice was hard and too cold to be served directly as part of the poke. I have to take one star off it. But overall great place. Will go back again next in town

Absolutely enjoyed our time here! Came in for my partners birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. First our server name on the ticket was Prietika, Greta energy and she was working so hard that night we never saw her stop moving! Management/FOH touched every table and were a pleasure to chat with at the door. -short rib plate we ordered twice because it was out of this world! -Brussels were crisp to perfection -bacon arugula salad was a great start, super fresh -old fashioned was phenomenal We will definitely be back 🩷 I wish we took more photos but it was all so good we ate before the camera this time 😂

I highly recommend this restaurant! Our server, Adam, went above and beyond to make our experience great. He was attentive and provided excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. The cocktails were spot on, and the food was outstanding. The Halibut Risotto, in particular, was exceptional.

We were looking for a spot for a late bite and stumbled across this place. We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the cool evening. They were accommodating even though I could tell they would have preferred we sat inside since there were no other tables out there. Every dish we got was better than the last. I was blown away at how good the food was. The server was super attentive and friendly as well. Great spot! I wanted to go back the next day, but the wifey wanted some variety instead.

The service was superb! Everything was amazing, and the mussels are truly stealing the show today!! You must try the prince Edward mussels! So yummm

Table 79 - in Steamboat, CO is considered to be one of the nicer dining establishments in Steamboat. We had a lovely dinner, but I can’t say we were WOW’d by anything, in terms of a “we must come back” but we also didn’t try the two top sellers recommended to us: portobello fries and the brussel sprouts. Our appetizers were delicious, however, and we very much enjoyed our dinner! Service was top notch, and the ambience was quaint. We started with the Prince Edward Island Mussels and Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad. The mussels were cooked in a creamy, white wine sauce and stewed with leeks, shallots and garlic. The tomato & burrata salad was good, tomatoes were not the best but I love me some burrata cheese. And a little roasted red pepper rouille, yes please! Gave it just a nice ‘lil kick, yummy! The balsamic was a beautiful touch to this app. Korean Short Rib: ok let’s talk about this one. When I hear Korean Short Rib” I think Kal-bi. So I’m thinking Kal-bi with kimchi friend rice, plus a poached egg, and I’m sold. Nothing else will top that dish option, in my mind! I was sad to see it come out as NOT Kal-bi. In fact, there wasn’t anything Korean about the short rib meat. Kimchi fried rice was good, I loved the larger leaf kimchi and the kimchi was slightly sour, which is exactly how kimchi should be if it’s cooked into any dish. The pickled cucumbers and onions were a nice touch. Personally, the meat could’ve used a side of gochujang, and they might have helped “Korean” this up a smidge. I’m still shedding tears over this one, but perhaps a name change or more menu clarity would help us Asians out when ordering! Classic Cheeseburger: we wouldn’t normally order a burger, over the other options on a menu, but it was strongly advised to us as a restaurant staple. No matter how many times they update their menu (seasonally), the Classic Burger remains. And we can see why! It’s a steak burger, not a smash, and so tender and juicy! The homemade pickles are an awesome touch; same as the ones with the fried rice, but delicious. I love a good housemade pickle! Only negative here would be the mega steak fries, they were so so. A cross between country potatoes and a steak fry, they weren’t that good. This would be an A+ burger with better fries, IMO. We will definitely be back but, next time, we must try the brussel sprouts and portobello fries!!

We went last night and absolutely loved it! The spinach goat cheese beet salad was wonderful. The poke was also delicious. We ordered the kimchi fried rice with beef and it was absolutely insane! They have great cocktails and wine list. We would absolutely come back!

Google
Wow! I can’t believe this was our first time here! We absolutely loved everything we ate and our overall experience. The service was wonderful, the food was savory, generous, and delicious. We did the “two for $99” and it was so much food and such an amazing price. It felt like we were getting away with something…that’s how good everything was! :) we WILL be back!

Yelp
Table 79 - is considered one of the more excellent dining establishments in Steamboat, CO. Happy Hour with quality cocktails, wine, beer, and delicious small plates and appetizers! We started with house cocktails and the portabella fries and continued with the shrimp ceviche, mussels, Short ribs ( not what I expected, but they were good), Tacos, and Mussels. A little hack is to show up between 430 and 6 for happy hour prices on some appetizers and cocktails. The entrees are pretty pricey at around 40 per plate, but it is the type of culinary experience where it's well worth it, in my opinion. Cocktail drinks are also not light on alcohol, which is appreciated for the price charged. Service was top-notch, and the ambiance was pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any meal based on our experience. We look forward to coming back next time we're on a Steamboat.

Yelp
We had walked by this place a few times over the course of a couple days, each time in the afternoon, and always had plenty's of people through the windows dining. It was packed regularly! Later learning that Table 79 has a great happy hour (discounted side dishes and half off of main entrees) we made a reservation and had to taste. Menu looked tasty with a good amount of variety: tacos, burgers, steak, halibut. It wasn't a huge menu with multiple pages, like some restaurants have, which I liked. Keeping it simple with fewer items and focusing the quality of each works for a better in my opinion. I could only order one main dish, but here I wanted to try them all. We ordered the Burger (happy hour $15; reg $24) and the Korean Short Rib (happy hour $26; reg $52). The burger was delicious and meaty like a quality backyard grilled smashed burger, and this one came with thick crispy wedge fries. The Korean Short Rib was phenomenal! I was not expecting such a huge chunk of meat, very generous. Plus it came with kimchi fried rice with an over easy egg over it. OMG so good. Definitely another great spot for steamboat.

Yelp
My husband and I arrived for happy hour (between 4:30-6 pm). Adam, our server, took good care of us and gave us excellent recommendations. My husband ordered an Old Fashion which was in the happy hour menu which he liked. We ordered three snacks-Brussels sprouted, corn elote, and portobello fries which were all delicious. The portobello fries reminded me of tempura and came with a dipping sauce. My husband ordered the burger which is on the happy hour menu which comes with wedge fries, and I ordered the Korean short rib with kimchi fried rice with poached egg. I loved this dish!!! Everything about it appealed to me. The main entrees are 50% off during April which was an added bonus. Definitely try this local treasure out!

Yelp
Table 79 Fred, Lee & Manuel, thank you so much for making our first visit not wanting to be our last! It was FABULOUS!!!! I ordered the Korean beef short rib that was cooked incredible on a bed of kimchi rice with sliced cucumbers and red onion on this side. My husband ordered the Teres Major, it was on a bed of mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was cooked perfect! I loved the countertop seating, indoor and outdoor dining. I can't wait to try the other restaurants. I will try them all!!!!! Once again, thank you, Fred. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Yelp
Table 79 made my husband and I's birthday so special. The ambiance is an intimate setting with great service and delicious food. The staff provided a personalized birthday card and a yummy treat after our dinner making the evening that much more special. Also, the espresso martini was one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back when visiting Colorado again.

John L.

Yelp
Another excellent choice in Steamboat Springs. There is plenty of street parking nearby. Service is top notch. Food was also top notch. Gotta try the portobello fries. The corn ribs elote was possibly the best elote I've ever had. Crispy brussels sprouts were also excellent. Wasn't a big fan of the tuna poke. The sticky rice was a too... "sticky." Short rib bao buns were good.

Samantha Q.

Yelp
Loved this cute dinner spot downtown in Steamboat Springs for my birthday. We stopped in on a Wednesday night and had no trouble getting seated without a reservation. The day we stopped in they we're offering 50% off main entrees which was nice. I ordered the Bistro Steak which was yummy, if you don't like onions make sure you ask for the steak without the butter. I'd say that was my only issue with the food but I scraped it off. For dessert I ordered the Flourless Chocolate Torte which was delicious and loved the peanut butter icing on the plate. Must have if you like dessert.

Melanie F.

Yelp
The ambiance and food were great. Our server did an excellent job especially since we had 7 in our party. The tiramisu for dessert was to die for!!

Ani M.

Yelp
Fantastic service, cocktails, and vibe! The food was great too - recommend the happy hour specials, particularly the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the House Rolls. Also appreciated they had a few interesting mocktail options.

Alexandra W.

Yelp

Yelp
Table 79 is soo close to hitting the nail on the head in terms of quality dining - the service is really great, the cocktails are tasty, the appetizers are excellent. And then the entrees are where the quality, presentation and flavor took a bit of a turn. It's not bad by a long shot, but it's not quite as excellent as everything else was leading up to the entree. For starters, we had the crispy brussel sprouts, homemade rolls with whipped butter and a cocktail and a beer - all super tasty. The sprouts were excellently fried and crisp and well salted. The rolls looked and sort of tasted like a King's Hawaiian roll but still good. Then we ordered the potato wrapped salmon and the burger. The salmon was fine - well seasoned and basically wrapped in the equivalent of a long hash brown. The arugula salad it came with didn't have enough bite to it though and the farro below was pretty bland. My husband's burger tasted good but looked like a burger you get on the mountain. The presentation was so far below everything else we had been served - I was sort of shocked. To top it off, we were sitting at the bar near the chef and you can tell he cares about things being done a certain way, which is great, but he was also kind of a jerk to his employees. So there's that too. I'd come back but sit away from the bar and maybe try something different or just stick to the apps!

Pam J.

Yelp
The food was solid, our service was even better. Brandy did an amazing job explaining and recommending menu items. This was our annual night out in Steamboat and Table 79 did not disappoint. -1 Star for the desserts, they were average at best, the cream brûlée had no caramelized topping & the flourless tort was good at best. We sampled many of the small plates, our favorites included the Portobello Mushroom Fries, Burrata Salad, Grilled Oysters, and Chef's special salad. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Steamboat looking for a great meal in Steamboat!

Rachel F.

Yelp
Excellent food and great experience. We sat at the counter and got to watch the team putting the finishing touches on the dishes. Everything was delicious. We ordered 3 small plates and one entree. Only recommendation is that I wish they had more vegan options. All of the items we had were customized to be vegan but a couple felt like they were missing a key ingredient as a result. Regardless the food was very good and we were grateful they had these options.

Kelsey P.

Yelp
My absolute favorite in steamboat for sure. The happy hour specials are unbeatable. Delectable cocktails at an even more appetizing price. The ambience and the staff only make this place exponentially better. BUT the food is the reason you MUST go. Let me break it down for you: Buffalo cauliflower- all the flavor none of the grease. Just the right amount of zingy spice. Brussels- monstrous crunch and flavor. Tuna poke - there was something special about that rice. Portabella fries- like whaaaaaat. These were insane. I kept trying to figure out how they weren't soggy or dry and how I could try and make them at home. Do not pass on these. Campfire pound cake- now I'm not usually one for sweets but, this one fired me up. Chocolate, toasted marshmallows, strawberries - all the goodies. Do not show up late if you want to take advantage of happy hour- the bar isn't huge and it fills up quick. This is a judgement free zone- come in straight from the slopes, all dressed up or recently awakened from a nap- all are welcome.

H T.

Yelp
Wonderful service and delicious menu. Go for happy hour and a great range of options. Adam was our superb server.

Max W.

Yelp
We had great food and great service but we didn't get our entrees until over two hours after we were seated. The steaks were excellent, brussels a little salty, cocktails were great. Would be a gem if they could turn the orders around timely.

Michelle W.

Yelp
We just ate here at Table 79. We had a 5pm reservation and of course got right in and to our table. The kitchen is an open to dining room concept. However this is most of time a good atmosphere to see the kitchen in action but the vent over the grill was most definitely broken. The restaurant filled up with smoke. They opened the doors finally and then closed them again to only fill back up with eye burning smoke. The steak on the menu is NY strip. I usually order filet but the only option was the strip so I ordered the strip ($52). It was not as tender as I would of liked. And menus stated it comes with broccoli but when served it was asparagus which is unfortunate as we can't eat that veggie. But no one said a word of the substitution...no said a word about the billowing smoke coming off the grill...and no one asked if it's ok to be photographed or filmed as they had a social media photographer there the entire time taking pics. The highlight was the Chocolate Torte. That was really tasty. Our waiter was good and the service was nice. I was really taken with the reviews on yelp so we chose this place for my bday night and our last night in Steamboat before returning to Texas. Wished I had chosen differently. So giving this honest review to anyone else out there looking for a higher priced meal.

Julie P.

Yelp
Really love the food here, we order takeout more than dining in lately, but it has a nice vibe. Their tuna appetizer is absolutely amazing - give it a try!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Came for dinner while on vacation and we were seated quickly. Host was very friendly. Our server was sweet and attentive. Patiently answered our questions. The shrimp app was delicious, one of the best things I ate. The truffle mushrooms were so crispy and delicious. My son loved his steak and my husband had a short rib special. I did not care for my lobster risotto, the pieces of lobster were minced up claw meat. Overall, a delicious dinner and we would come back.

Jon R.

Yelp
Food and service was phenomenal. I went in with my family for the day the little town and we happened to step into this fancy establishment, expecting to be an ok restaurant because of the dollar sighs Apple Maps showed on the phone... I was a bit skeptical because of the prices on the menu at first (because of previous experiences... high prices, low quality service/food)... but luckily I was proven wrong! We tried the fried portobello (really tasty and crispy) The fried Brussels (delicious) The tuna poke (I really liked the sesame with it, so fresh and colorful) The 10 oz Ny Strip Steak (so delicious and spot on the temperature ) The potato wrapped salmon (picky mother loved it ) The pork chop (which I was told it was cooked medium but it was definitely over cooked. The flavor was AMAZING) I really liked the cabbage and the apple, mustard relish on it. The banana panna cotta (I was expecting a little firmer/ giggly panna cotta which is what I'm used to but the flavors were great) The flourless chocolate cake (delicious) And the honey zeppole (little nice loved it) I personally think the desserts could have been a bit less sweet but the family loved them. Overall, the whole experience at this restaurant was amazing. I really enjoyed my time there. I definitely recommend this place! Keep up the great work chefs

Zimmer W.

Yelp
Mushroom soup was fantastic as was corn, brussel sprouts, portobello mushrooms, and pork tacos! All the food was fabulous and we sat at the bar watching the chefs prepare the food. We were there for happy hour. Out of this world delicious and the server/ bar tender was extremely attentive and nice.

Jason D.

Yelp
Run don't walk, this place was awesome and really is a fine dining experience but super casual and reasonable. Service at the bar was fantastic, super friendly, helpful and provided excellent advice. I started with the soup du jour, which was cucumber gazpacho and so much better then I would have expected. Then I had the elote which was really good and finished with the trout which was also amazing. Got two whiskey cocktails and both were made perfect, even the Manhattan which I normally don't care for. Recommend for sure, you won't be disappointed.

Sydney E.

Yelp
This is a definite 4.5 star restaurant. The strength of this place is their small plates of appetizers. You cannot go wrong with the portobello fries or the tuna poke. The only downfall of this restaurant is that it has a very small menu. The ambiance and staff are great. We split a main course which was just ok. We had the Korean short ribs which was too salty (I am Korean so I know Korean food well). If I had to rate the food we ordered, portobello fries would be first as it was so unique and tasty. Second would be the tuna poke. The Korean short ribs were too salty but the kimchi fried rice and cucumber salad helped balance it out. We will definitely come back to this restaurant whee we n we come back for our yearly ski trip.

Klara C.

Yelp
We've been here twice now and the food and service has been great both times! The first visit was focused on the small plates because those looked good on their own. We ordered the Greek Tacos, baby back ribs, and the tuna poke. Their portion sizes were generous and more than enough for two people! I liked the tuna poke so much that I ordered a second one in lieu of dessert The second time we visited was for Happy Hour. We ordered the portabella fries which were DELICIOUS. Lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's an awesome deal at $6 - I'd come back to Happy Hour just for this. It's a popular place so I recommend snagging a reservation.

Patrick C.

Yelp
I like to go to Table 79's happy hour. Try the Portabella Mushrooms. The staff seems actually happy.

Liz M.

Yelp
Lee was our server and was so excellent!! He made sure we knew the choices and took great care of our girls group. The food was delish, and we had a brownie for the birthday girl!! I will definitely come again!!

Lauren N.

Yelp
I don't think we could have gone to a better restaurant in steamboat to celebrate! We arrived a little earlier than our reservation so we waited in a waiting section. During this time we were giving a glass or water and a glass of complimentary Champaign. It was the best way to greet customer. From there the waiters were amazing! Both Nikki and Frank took care of us all night! When we were seated we were given a complimentary app (not pictured). Our meal was absolutely divine! We had a hard time deciding which was our favorite, but the beef carpaccio and tuna poke was UNREAL!! They were also very receptive to some friends calling in to buy the table a bottle of Champaign! I would go back to this restaurant every night if I could!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I wanted to leave a good review for Chef Brian, he took really good care of us when we were waiting for our food. The food was really good, and I also ended up getting a couple hemming ways. Super good! The bar staff were awesome.

grant b.

Yelp
I love this new(er) addition to the Steamboat dining scene. Great, imaginative food and super fresh ingredients. Happy hour is a fantastic food deal. (Remember to tip your server on the full amount of your check) I love that they have a well thought out non alcoholic drink menu. I wish the non alcoholic drinks were included in happy hour. The "kitchen appreciation surcharge" is silly. Just raise the menu prices by 3% and pay your kitchen staff more! We will definitely be returning! Great food and great service.

Henry F.

Yelp
Wow. I love this restaurant. The prices during off season make this a must-try. We ordered 15 things that 4 of us split and we were stuffed. So many amazing flavors. The chef knows his or her stuff In case you were wondering about the restaurant name. 79 is the periodic number of Gold or Au (Latin for aurum). The sister restaurant is Aurum.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
So I really want to give 3.5 stars but that's not an option. This place wasn't bad it just wasn't great either. I felt like the food was alright I mean it was fine but it was way over priced in my opinion. We went during happy hour and the snacks were half price and honestly I'm grateful for that. I just can't fathom paying full price for the food but that's just my opinion.

Cortney Y.

Yelp
Seriously hands down best food and SERVICE in SB. There's something magic about the burger with pimento cheese. The flourless chocolate torte is AMAZING!

Shaan D.

Yelp
Table 79 was just alright. We went on a Wednesday night and the inside was pretty much empty but the outside patio had most tables full. I started with the pijama del gato drink which was good. We got the tuna poke, brussels sprouts and portabella fries to start. We were 8 people and 1 of each appetizer was plenty. The tuna poke and portabella fries were really good but the brussels were not. They just lacked flavor entirely. For dinner I got the chicken katsu which was just okay. Everyone said their dishes were alright but nothing spectacular, including the pork and trout. One bright spot was our server - she was very friendly and patient with us. Eat at their sister restaurant Aurum instead - the food is much better and you still get the same great service PLUS a bigger patio on the yampa river.

Matthew L.

Yelp
The food is simply delicious. And our server, Taylor, was awesome! Been here numerous times and it has never disappointed. The halibut was to die for. Love their Happy Hour and off season 50% off specials. Can't wait to go back.

Drew H.

Yelp
Maybe the best all around restaurant in the 'Boat? Laid back enough to be comfortable, hip enough to feel upscale. The food surpassed expectations, delicious cocktails, super friendly staff. No notes.

Monika P.

Yelp
I'm vegan and so it's difficult to find options when traveling. Their Vegan lasagne and friendly staff were it was the only true vegan meal on the menu but they advised that they could make a lot of other modifications. If you're going to bring your dogs, just confirm. We brought two dogs and the hostess said dogs aren't allowed on the patio but that we could sit in the corner, yet when I called to confirm earlier, the guy said they were allowed.

Amber E.

Yelp
Another great meal at Table 79. Sat at the food prep counter so hot to see then preparing all the wonderful dishes. We had the Bonn salad and burger, and both were excellent. Also got here in time for happy hour, so enjoyed a couple glasses of Wine (Tempranillo and Grenache) and couple cocktails )French 74't and Hemingway #4 (all were very good, but Grenache and French 75 were our favorites). Very friendly and. Attentive service. Oh, the skillet coolie aka mode w: caramel sauce was delicious, too. Definitely a must stop on every trip to Steamboat, especially if we can make it. For happy hour!

Bryan R.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible, we had the tuna pokie, the squash was insane the bone marrow was amazing and then entrées of short rib and rabbit, just unbelievably awesome. Great job guys!!! Our sever Eric was top notch, good bro! The Old fashions were on point too, we got a second round they were so damn good and we ordered the fish tacos to go because they just look too damn good too lol

Lauren H.

Yelp
I came here when I was on vacay in Steamboat. Our whole group was so impressed with every dish and are still talking about it! The service was great and every dish had tons of flavor! Apps: * beef Asian carpaccio- 5/5. So much flavor! *portobello fries- 5/5. Amazing! *french onion toast-4/5. This dish is pretty rich and you'll only want about half a piece since it's so filling. We wish our waitress would've let us know this beforehand. The toast is a baguette not a crostini. Our waitress said it was a crostini so we expected I wasn't that filling. Those types of breads are veryyy different. *buffalo cauliflower- 3/5. I'm not a huge Buffalo sauce fan so this was just ok. Entrees: *filet mignon- 5/5 so tender and delicious! *vegan lasagna- 5/5 *duck- please get this dish! It's soooo good! Dessert: Cast iron skillet cookie- 3/5. A little rich and needed extra gelato. I would definitely come back here again!

Randi M.

Yelp
Steak was swimming in butter. Was served rare and the meat was tough. The mashed potatoes were soupy from all the butter on the plate. Not an enjoyable dinner.

Marissa F.

Yelp
This meal was nothing short of amazing!! To start we had the beets and the meat balls (Pro tip:order more than 1). While they were supposed to be elk and chorizo we failed to taste much of the chorizo spice. The corn sauce that accompanied the meatballs was fantastic! Overall the beets were good. The feta seemed to be roasted which was a surprise as I was expecting cold feta. The duck confit risotto. Oh. my.goodness. This was absolutely amazing. It was an actual leg of duck and there was plenty of meat on it. No disappointment there. The risotto was perfectly cooked with a fantastic creamy texture. I was not however a fan of the mushrooms in it as they were quite chewy. My dad ordered the honey roasted chicken (I think that was what it was called) and it was juicy, moist, and delicious. I had the Kill Devil Fall's drink which came with a cute little umbrella. It was quite a delicious drink. The restaurant itself had a nice, quiet, (and slightly dark) atmosphere. The service was wonderful and I could not complain about a thing. Next time I go to Steamboat I really hope I can go again!

Yelp
We had an 8:30 reservation and had to wait until 8:40 to be seated. We were offered drinks and water while we waited. As soon as we were seated we were asked to start ordering. Several in our group ordered the items from the small plate. They brought the food out as it was ready. We seemed a little rushed. They ran out of the only domestic beer coors light. The food was great. We were given a free appetizer for having to wait . All items were over priced for serving size. We were out of there by 9:15.

Yelp
These guys have lost their way. They have now jacked up prices, Dow sized items and eliminated their best items of the past based on complexity or cost. Many of us locals have now moved on! Else watch a "happy hour" pricing turn into a $400 with tip for party of four. The other new places in town are taking away many seating until places like this go back to their roots !

Yelp
This might be our new favorite happy hour spot in Steamboat. First of all, the service was amazing and we had very knowledgeable and kind staff all night. We ended up ordering everything from the snack menu (except the soup) and it exceeded our expectations! Spectacular flavor in every single dish. The portabella fries were a favorite just because we haven't had anything like that before. We will for sure be coming back for more!

Yelp
Why five stars? The ambiance, the quality of food, and the happy hour! Table 79 is conveniently located street side of Lincoln Avenue which makes it easy to access, and street parking was abundant (at least when I visited). It is helpful to know that at 9:00 p.m., all glasses of wine and main courses become 50% off (that 50% could include cocktails and other items but I cannot speak positively about that). There are only a few main entrees to choose from, as the majority of Table 79's menu consists of Tapas meant for sharing. I was alone but decided to order two tapas, as the menu suggests 2-3 tapas is adequate per person. I went with the Spiced Brussel Sprouts and the Crab Mac & Cheese. The latter I would probably not order again, as my lactose intolerance was apparently in full force last night. The Crab Mac & Cheese was VERY tasty, as I could not stop eating it, despite the disagreement in my body. The Brussel Sprouts were phenomenal and caused me no ailment! Each brussel leaf was sauteed to the point of absolute crispiness. I could taste a whole bunch of flavors in this dish, including lemon juice, paprika, among others that the chef could probably detail much clearer than I. In sum, I would definitely return to Table 79 Foodbar and I would also encourage foodies to check this place out - especially if you enjoy dim, romantic dining atmospheres, $5.00 Clayhouse Cabernets, and moderate portions of eclectic dishes at reasonable prices. You shouldn't be able to go wrong here!

Yelp
We came to Steamboat Springs during the off season and I luckily picked up the local paper on our first morning and discovered the this restaurant as well as several others around town were offered deeply discounted entrees due to the slow down in business. We had initially planned to have our "fancy dinner" at Café Diva but diverted to Table 79 after finding one of these offers and reviewing their menu, which appealed to both of us. My partner and I loved the modern yet cozy feel of the décor at Table 79. We were promptly seated and our server proactively told us about the happy hour and off-season pricing (which was nice - other restaurants we went to didn't acknowledge the ad until we mentioned it). Because we were getting such a great deal, we went kind of crazy and order 4-5 small plates, drinks, AND entrees. The surprise favorite for the evening was the roasted beets plate. I would have eaten a huge bowl of that and called it a night if it were an option. We were pleased with everything we tried and service was consistent and pleasant all night.

Yelp
Loved this place and had a beautiful vegan meal. The staff was amazing and the location was central to everything, so happy we picked this one!

Yelp
Good food and feels healthy! Got three appetizers/small plates for share. The grilled octopus was tasty and all the vegetables accompanied it was unique and nice. The soba salad got quite some vegetables and was refreshing. I got duck confit for main, and the combination of beans, tomato sauce and duck was nice! A touch of bread crumbles on top was good too. The risotto with lamb was yummy and I enjoyed the fried pork (though on the unhealthy side). I got a semi-dry cider, and enjoyed it. Good food overall.
