Coronavirus: the Best Ottawa Restaurants for Take-Out and Delivery | Eater Montreal

"Delicious Korean food is the name of the game at this Old Ottawa South establishment — fried chicken with sweet and spicy glazes is , but other options like rice cakes, bulgogi, and seafood pancakes shine too. Open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day but Monday." - Tim Forster

The Best Cheap Eats in Ottawa | Eater Montreal

"Tucked in a discreet basement is this excellent Korean nook — fried chicken (with sweet/spicy or soy glazes) is the go-to item (but the portion is enough for two, and is priced for a pair too), although there are solid noodle and rice dishes." - Tim Forster

We stopped by to try their bibimbap and had a lovely experience! The place was nicely decorated and we were greeted with friendly, quick service. We both had the Bulgogi Bibimbap main with a shared side of corn cheese and tea. Everything was fresh with a beautiful mix of flavours. The corn cheese was comforting and the portions were good. We came in hungry and left satisfied!

The two of us ordered one Cheese DakGangJung (boneless chicken). The fried chicken was absolutely delicious, and the portion was very generous — we could only finish half of it. The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Since becoming pregnant, I’ve really missed the taste of Korean seaweed soup. As a very kind personal gesture, the owner offered to make a bowl for me. It was absolutely delicious, and I was truly touched and very grateful. The delicious seaweed soup brought so much comfort and happiness to a pregnant mom. If you love Korean food, this is definitely a must-visit restaurant in Ottawa. I sincerely wish the owner great success and hope to see more locations open in Ottawa in the future!

The food came out in no less than 10 minutes after our order. Very fast. Service was great! We got the Spicy Dak Gang Jung (fried chicken) and the Seafood Nu Reung Ji Tang (seafood soup with muscles, crab, shrimp and calamari). The chicken was awesome and I love that they give you all the side dishes with it like the kimchi, rice, soup, etc. I also tried the pear juice which was ok. I wish it was a larger can as it was only half size. We also thought the Seafood soup should have more shrimp and crab meat in it. I wouldn't mind a $5-$10 price increase for more seafood as the prices are very reasonable compared with other resturants. That being said, the soup broth was very good. We also tried the barley tea which was interesting. In addition I think they need to install some sound dampers as it's quite loud due to a fridge running. They should also rebrand the menu to make it less confusing. Is it Table 85 or Table Sodam? They may just be in a transition as I noticed the expansion to the other resturant beside the old one. All in all a great place for Korean fried chicken! 😋

Enjoyed the portion sizes and the quality of the food. Was very tasty and service was fast. The food felt very authentic. It was quite busy on a weekday but we got a table fairly quickly. No space for strollers so for anyone bringing babies, bring a foldable stroller. Very limited table spaces and mostly geared towards 2 person seating, and if you get lucky, you can get a table of 4. But any larger group, need to call ahead to arrange

Popular spot for Korean food. It has something for the chronic Korean food eater and the first-timer like me. I liked the QR method of getting on the list for a table and I didn't wait that long. For the newbies, a safe bet is the sweet and spicy chicken with a side of alfredo. Service was excellent.

This place is really good, the food is delicious, portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. The only downside was a few flies around, but overall it didn’t stop us from enjoying the meal. We’d still be happy to come back.

Food is good, particularly the fried chicken. But the restaurant is very busy and space can be cramped. Service as a result can be slow.

Great option on Bank St. for Korean food. Table Sodam and Sodam 85 are the same business, but I believe Table Sodam is licensed. We had the Bulgogi Bibimbap, Gamjatang, Soy Whole Chicken, and seafood pancakes. The chicken and pancakes were absolutely delicious. The Bibimbap and Gamjatang came with assorted sides and rice, and the taste was a little muted compared to what I've had at other Korean spots, but still had that spicy and tangy element you look for. Reasonable prices, beautiful presentation and friendly staff make it a winning option!
