"This “pie” is deconstructed and ideal for sharing. It looks nothing like the traditional version, but combines all of its best elements in an artsy way. A swash of torched meringue, fresh strawberry slices, and a Barbie pink-hued strawberry milkshake ice cream combine with a graham cracker crumble. It’s been a menu staple since chef John Park opened Tableau." - Jenn Tanaka

I’ve walked past Tableau at South Coast Plaza at least 100 times, always thinking it was just a regular café. Nope. This place is outstanding. I had one of the best gem Caesars with fresh anchovies—not the cheap canned kind—and added warm, wild grilled salmon on top. Everything was super high quality, and they were happy to customize my order, making the salmon with butter instead of oil. We also got their French Levain sourdough bread (so good), and my husband ordered another salad with salmon, which came with egg and avocado—he gave it a 10/10. Now, let’s talk about dessert because I need to blame this place for fattening me up. The cookie croissant? By far one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The custard and cream it comes with are absolutely to die for—flaky, warm, and just melts together with the ice cream in the most perfect way. And I finally found a New York-style cheesecake that’s actually high-quality and delicious. It comes with graham cracker ice cream, which just takes it to another level. Big thank you to Chelsea for the amazing service! She answered all of my questions about the food and catered to my picky requests without hesitation. What really surprised me is how much effort they put into everything. The owners clearly care, the bartenders and staff are fantastic, and they actually listen to customer feedback. It’s not a high-end place, but it serves top-tier food in a totally relaxed, non-pretentious setting. They’re seafood-forward, the prices are way more reasonable than you’d expect for the quality, and parking is super easy. I didn’t try the drinks, but I’m already planning my next visit for the almond croissant (which was sold out), cookies, pineapple upside-down cake, and a flat white. This is officially on my regular rotation!

Google
The food was outstanding, which comes as no surprise since they also created the restaurant Toast. The Asian-American fusion here is just as skillfully executed as Toast's memorable Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. Things to try here: the Pho-tato Chips and the Chicken and Waffles are particularly both unique and delectable.

Google
Pancakes were delicious with the compote. Berries were a bit too tart and syrup was sweeter than expected. The smash burger was yummy. Cappuccino was VERY strong (super dark roasted), but made with the correct portion of milk to foam. Only 2 servers during Sunday brunch so service was friendly but slow.

Google
This is the perfect spot for brunch! From thoughtful presentation, to the quality of ingredients, to the superb service by the waitstaff… my girlfriends and I were so happy we found our new fave place to visit after a day of shopping! There are so many creative items on the menu; can’t wait to return to try more things! Must order the chicken wings and taiyaki waffles + the jasmine tea French toast! ❤️ also have to give a shout-out to Lily who was so sweet to give us complimentary juices for our mimosa flight, just to make sure it was to our liking. We were really impressed, even though the restaurant just opened a couple months ago. You might see the owners also pitching to help, so have some patience and definitely come hungry. 😋

We had a really nice experience dining in the patio of Tableau! The food and service were excellent! We had the smash burger, eggplant sandwich and many desserts! The desserts are presented beautifully and they taste amazing! My favorite was the chocolate mousse cake!

Google
This place was wonderful spacious. Food was amazing. Service was impeccable! They checked up on us a few times! We came for my daughter’s birthday! She had a swell time. We enjoyed everything we ordered! My favorite is the chicken and waffle and my husband loved his breakfast burrito! Being health conscious, we are very pleased that they didn’t add rice inside the burrito, but outside, what a smart decision! We also tried their Ube cookie with mochi! It was delicious, wish there was more of it for the price. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Google
Each plate served is so beautiful to look and is amazing to taste. I have visited there several times with family and friends, and everybody was happy. Always full of belly with satisfaction to leave the place. Price is also wonderful to the prime quality of each meal. Staffs are also so friendly, and quit smart to serve our table. They seems like they know what we may need even before asking. So good and wonderful time I had in the place. I would strongly recommend to taste their deserts. I heard the chef is Michelin starred, and specialized to deserts, each has beautiful vision, and very much delicious of high end quality.

Google
Update: I rated 4 stars for this restaurant months ago. But the quality of food has decreased considerably and the price increased about %30 just for cheeseburger in 11 months!!!!! You should pay about $24 for a typical cheeseburger with fries (I ordered a plain one). We also ordered a steak and a awful piece of fried chicken ( a piece of fried chicken for $9!!!) which was not good. Generally it doesn’t worth the price at all. We won’t go there anymore for sure! The vibe of the restaurant and the quality of the food is good. But I was surprised when I saw the cheeseburger (with fries) for $19.

Yelp
Ding ding ding! It's brunch time, and we went to Tableau in Costa Mesa, California. It's located in South Coast plaza over on the Crystal Court side. It's such a pretty open-spaced restaurant, with great decor! We went pretty hungry and ordered a bunch of stuff between the four of us there: an acai bowl, short rib hash, salmon chilaquiles, a california burrito, and a quiche, too. So much food, and so much friends! Yay! We also ordered some super refreshing drinks: a matcha latte and this cucumber chia seed limeade. How pretty is the acai bowl?! I felt so bad messing it up, but so good eating it! And the chilaquiles really hit, I'm not kidding. Such punchy flavor, and flaky salmon! Look at those chunks of short rib in the hash. Massive, meaty, morsels make your mouth moist. Try saying that ten times fast! Our friend was feelin under the weather, so we didn't try his quiche, but we were assured it was absolutely busting. And this california burrito! Hello? Yeah, flavor called, and it's knockin' on the door! Check this out, yes yes yes yes yes~

Yelp
Atmosphere: Black, white and gray theme with lots of plants. Modern and cozy. We had the following dishes: * Breakfast Sandwich - This one had cheddar eggs, hash brown patty, crispy bacon, onions, chipotle aioli in a brioche bun. I asked our server to slice it in half. So yummy! It was such a filling sandwich. * The Purdy Burger - This dish had double smashed patties, bacon, iceberg lettuce, onion, aged cheddar, habanero bbq ranch in a brioche bun. We also had additional side of asparagus. It was a tasty burger. The asparagus was flavoful too. We were lucky that it was not crowded here since we were on the other side of the mall. Great customer service as welll.

Yelp
The prices are higher, the servers are indifferent, and seem unaware they are servers. We came for the fries and they have changed them to fast food fries. The short rib pieces in the short rib mash were so tough! Nothing was crispy in the crispy broccoli salad... What happened to our favorite mall restaurant The runners were hard working! But the food has to be better than this for $30 a plate!!!

Shirley W.

Yelp
Located on the first floor in the South Coast mall (not the main side). We came during lunch hours and it wasn't really that busy at all. There were many tables open but we still had to wait? So that was a bit odd, but we were seated about 5 mins later. Service was rather nice! We ordered the salmon chilaquiles, lomo saltado burrito, and a side of fries. The food came out at a reasonable time, which the fries came out first. The fries looked really golden and glazed, which I wish they would have at least garnished it with some herbs or seasoning from a restaurant like this, but it was rather plain. Taking the first few bites of these fries, it honestly tasted like McDonalds lol. It had this oily fragrance that McDonald's taste like, so it was a very familiar taste. It wasn't bad, but just also not a pleasant association when you think you're eating at a nice restaurant but eating "mcdonalds fries". Next came the entrees, which I mainly had the salmon chilaquiles. At first I thought the chilaquiles was pretty good, it had a nice taste and it wasn't too soggy that it still had it slight crisps. The salmon was also pretty good too. However, the more you continue eat this, it just tastes extremely salty. I think only a few bites of it were good, but not that enjoyable as meal. The salmon was also kind of random to add on a chilaquiles. Then trying the lomo saltado burrito, it was okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the peppers, and it felt like nothing really stood out from the burrito. Overall, the prices for the food do not really reflect well with the quality of these dishes. Maybe the presentation is nice, but everything just tastes "okay".

Yelp
Really good fusion Asian brunch food at SCP! The service was top notch and I really enjoyed my Sakura latte. Looking forward to coming back to try more food!

Claire L.

Yelp
I had the chicken banh mi for dinner and it was delicious! The pho-tato chips are unique, and I enjoyed the fries as well. There's a great variety of drinks. Service was helpful with checking on allergens in the food. The restaurant is in a nice location in South Coast Plaza mall and you can see what's happening in the mall from the restaurant seating.

Allison N.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in South Coast shopping mall. It was a very quiet mall, doesn't appear to have much foot traffic at during brunch hours. When looking at the menu on yelp, we weren't aware that they had a brunch menu and dinner menu. We were excited for dinner menu items as it sounds so much better, but came here around 2:30 PM, before dinner was served. Waldorf chicken salad sandwich - 1/5 stars. $16 for a sandwich that looks like you can make at home LOL. Nothing amazing, just a chicken salad served on dry toast. Felt ripped off being served this. Smash burger - 4/5 stars. $18 + $6 for added fries. Comes with runny sunny side egg and two huge chunks of bacon. The patty was delicious and not so dry/over cooked. The bun was okay. For $18, I'd say this burger is worth it but on the pricier end. Chicken and Waffles - 3/5 stars. $18 for 2 pieces of mini taiyaki and 5 chicken wings. I like the creativity, but the flavor was just ok. While eating this, I felt like I had cotton mouth because both wings and the taiyaki were on the drier side 5/5 service. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us. She described the menu items + portions to the best of her ability and was professional. Overall: 3.25/5 stars. Brunch menu is quite basic with meager portions. I'd come back for dinner options.

Yelp
Dined here for lunch on a whim while at South Coast. We had their cheeseburger and salad and everything was very good. Service was great. There was plenty of seating. Their cucumber spritzer was very refreshing. Highly recommend for a quick bite.

Virginia J.

Yelp
It's one of my favorite places for weekend brunch. At the front, they have a selection of sweet desserts that are impossible to pass up. Great place to hang out and do some reading if you go early, and it's not too busy. My go-to order is the California burrito with the strawberry drink. Bring a friend, and you can share since the burrito is quite large. Just remember to get there before 3pm though before the menu changes to their dinner selections!! Service was good. The staff are pretty nice and the dining area was clean. The dining area is really just a cordoned off area on the first floor of the mall but still offers relatively good privacy. I recommend sitting in one of the booths! Wasn't too much of a wait when I came here. We were seated in less than 5 minutes. Would definitely come back again.

Katherine N.

Yelp
This place is a must if you're out here in South Coast plaza. The ambiance is just beautiful and refreshing. Very clean place to dine. This was my first time here and I had an amazingly delicious lunch today, the short-rib hash with strawberry yuzu lemonade!! I ate half then I had to ask for another sunny egg to finish. When I was done, it looked like I had licked the bowl!! Lol. Service was top notch and I would definitely come back when I'm in the area. Sara was my server and gave an excellent service. Thanks Sara and the Tableau team for an amazing service and delicious food!! Five stars for everything!!

Kayla Y.

Yelp
literally a hidden gem!! i absolutely love this place! the food is so flavorful, the service is always amazing, and it's such a cute little restaurant in south coast:) their chicken and waffles are so good, the waffle is a little taiyaki fish. i will always be coming back for brunch

Angela C.

Yelp
Had brunch here and sat outside on the patio, which was really nice and cozy. They had heat lamps so that kept us warm on a chillier day. Everything we ordered off the menu was tasty with nice presentation. Our kids loved their pancakes, which were huge and fluffy with fresh whipped cream and berries. They also shared a California Burrito that was tasty too. I really enjoyed the salad I ordered with roasted cauliflower and chicken, and my husband enjoyed his short rib bowl with roasted potatoes and a fried egg on top. Service was attentive and friendly, and we think this is a great dining option at south coast plaza (located next to Paper Source on the Crystal Cove side).

Yelp
Family and I had Sunday brunch here on Mother's Day. I was able to get a reservation 2 weeks prior. We all ordered a variety of dishes from savory to sweet. My favorite dishes were the Jasmine Milk Tea French Toast and the smashburger. We also ordered Sakura latte and caramel latte. Service was pleasant and they gave free homemade chocolate desserts for the mothers, which was a thoughtful touch. Cute brunch spot with really good service. Tableau is located 1st floor inside the mall next to the carousel. Parking is inside the parking structure.

Kristopher L.

Yelp
My family & I came here today for early Mother's Day brunch. We had a reservation, so we luckily didn't have to wait for a table for our party of 9. The food was pretty good overall, but it did not stand out as amazing because I've had better short rib hash. I also ordered the guava jasmine tea and that was pretty good! Overall, the food for the value was decent.

Jill D.

Yelp
Enjoyed my afternoon brunch at Tableau. Banh mi was alright baguette was not crispy and there wasn't a lot of pickled vegetables but everyone likes their banh mi differently. Sweet potato fries were perfect. They have interesting cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

Heidi O.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, and a great ambiance! We went here by accident since we were at the mall for the garden show (which was fun). We walked by and were pulled in by the delicious looking pastries so we decided to have lunch here. We sat outside on the patio and had it to ourselves. I got a Vanilla oat milk latte which was great. We had the breakfast sandwich, the eggplant sandwich (which was my favorite) , and the quiche. Everyone enjoyed their food. You can also just stop by and get some pastries from the front. I definitely recommend this great restaurant!!

Katarina O.

Yelp
Really large selection with many delicious options. Really would like to try more next time! Right outside the mall for easy access, but waited a bit for our food and check during brunch time. Very big portions, and very filling but personally benefited from a bit more salt & pepper

Julie N.

Yelp
Had to grab lunch at the happiest place on earth for me...South Coast Plaza. We ordered the following: Croque Madame: Excellent Grilled Chicken Banh Mi: Good, could be more flavorful The service was friendly and attentive. The manager even stopped by to say hello. The seats and vibe of the restaurant was very comfortable. I'll be back for sure!

Richard H.

Yelp
Food is always good. Hard to find any faults with this aspect. Pork cheek adobo was a bit on the salty side but was still a good pick. Duck was cook perfectly medium rare but just wish the skin was kept crispy. You could tell it was crispy but got soggy. Ambiance of the location is nice and relaxing. Service this time was very surprising to say the least. All the other times I've been here it has always been fairly quick but this time when we went it...every dish took FOREVER. To the point the staff seemed like they were avoiding coming to our table to refill our water. One of the pizzas we ordered didn't even come out until we finished all the other food we ordered. The staff was kind enough to comp that pizza and throw in an extra dessert but will still be hesitant to go back if we have any plans to go elsewhere after seeing as how long it took them to get the food out.

Jeannie K.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. We made reservations for a larger party so when we got there, got seated right away. The restaurant is inside South Coast plaza so it's somewhat small. I would recommend making reservations especially on weekends. The food is Asian fusion so there were a couple items that were unique but otherwise it's general brunch menu. The items that stood out to me are: Army stew Bloody Mary - I didn't order this but heard it tastes like Shin ramen Jasmine Milk tea French toast - this was really good!! Truly Tastes like milk tea Chicken & Waffles - the waffles were shaped like a fish which was cute. This dish was good but nothing stood out. Smash burger - I didn't order this but heard this was delicious!! Sakura latte - really good! Has a hint floral flavor which I loved Ham & cheese pastry - delicious!! Overall the food was tasty but as expected for brunch. I would come back again to try their smash burger, sakura latte, and get more pastries!

Simon K.

Yelp
My wife loved the Waldorf Chicken Salad Sandwich. She added fries and they were fresh hand cut. I got the pancakes again and they are nice and light and fluffy. The cinnamon roll was pretty good. The dough is tight but light. It's hard to describe. It's difficult to cut with a knife because there is some bounce to the dough. But when you chew it it is delicate. Next time I want to try the ham, cheese, and jalapeno bun in the bakery display case.

Tammy Mimi S.

Yelp
BDay lunch with my fav gal pals did not disappoint. We ended up sitting for almost 3 hrs and did not feel rushed at all. Service was excellent and the food was delish! -Fried Burrata Sandwich w sweet potato fries: Fries were perfectly crisp and paired very well with the sandwhich. -Chicken & Waffles: Chicken was a little bland. The mini fish tayaikis filled w custard was good. - Ube Blueberry Croissant: Delish and would order this again. Nice and crispy with almond sliced toppings. - Mimosa Flight: Nice way to try the different variations. Kalamansi Mandarin and Guava Jasmine were the highlights. -Sakura Latte: Presentation was cute and it was tasty. Nice and light... subtle and not over powering.

Colette N.

Yelp
Came for Sunday brunch with my family and we were really excited to try this place. We were seated pretty quickly and the servers always checked in with us which was nice. There was a nice ambiance for Sunday brunch as well. However, the food was not what we were expecting. We ordered the California Burrito, Chicken & Waffles, and Croque Madame. The burrito was fine, nothing too special, but the beans and rice it came with were cold so it was hard to enjoy. The Chicken & Waffles were very hard to finish- the chicken was like Korean soy wings which we were excited for and have had many times at other places, but they were wayyy too salty! I could only eat one and we couldn't finish the rest of them. We also ordered the Blueberry Hojicha tea and Vanilla Latte, but they were okay and we couldn't finish both either :( My family really wanted to like this place because of the positive reviews and we like to try Asian fusion spots, but the food was a miss for us unfortunately. Maybe we're used to having more authentic Asian cuisine that's less salty. The pastries at the front do look delicious though and I'd want to give them a shot the next time I visit South Coast. I will say that I enjoyed the service because the servers were very attentive and helpful.

Kelvin V.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday afternoon, with a few friends after. It's located in South Coast Plaza on the other side where there Apple Store is. It's definitely gives more high end classy kind of place to grab brunch with a modern design interior design. The service was standard, I don't think there was anything amazing about it but they did a good job. The food was good quality was great and really happy with what we got but the portions were not the most filling. Overall 4/5!

Mayu T.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place after they were so accommodating about our order requests (substituted wheat bread for the avocado toast and checking that the roasted cauliflower salad doesn't contain dairy), but unfortunately the food did not deliver. The cauliflower in the Roasted Cauliflower Salad was icy as if frozen, and the fried prosciutto is a strange choice to begin with but came stale rather than crispy. The rest of the flavor was ok, albeit somewhat lackluster and would've done better if the cauliflower was more interestingly seasoned. The shaved cauliflower was a unique touch though. They were kind enough to provide some complimentary pastries when we notified them of the issue. Didn't try the avocado toast but it looked fairly standard.

Lama Z.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this place in a while, so I decided to have brunch here with a friend. We sat in their nice private patio area. I had the eggplant sandwich, which was really delicious, & a matcha latte . My friend got the avocado toast, and we shared a side of their sweet potato fries--they were so good! Liz, our server, was absolutely lovely.

Diana T.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday late afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. My SIL and I shared the almond croissant and the croque madam. The croissant was light and flakey and had the right amount of sweetness. I'm not a almond flavored kinda gal but I would definitely get this again. As for the croque madam, it was a good size and it came with a side salad. Everything was delish but they went a little to heavy on the mustard seeds in the croque madam as well as the salad. Other than that, I'd love to try some other things here!

Melanie G.

Yelp
First off, I love how Tableau's items have an Asian influence and all of the unique dishes that come out of it. My family went around lunch time on a Saturday and luckily, were seated right away! Nice brunch ambiance with modern aesthetics. Service was good too. I got the salmon chilaquiles, which I haven't seen anywhere else. They were so good. The salmon was blackened. The avocado was fresh, beans cooked well and had good flavor. Chips were crisp. Great dish!

Kelly T.

Yelp
Sometimes brunch places can be a hit or miss but tableau is a hit for me I came to eat here with my cousins and we each ordered a dish to share family style. Here are my food ratings: Jasmine Milk Tea French Toast, 10/10 - I'm a sucker for anything milk tea flavored haha. Delicious! I have to learn how to make the jasmine milk tea glaze. Short Rib Hash, 9/10 - good mix of sweet and spicy Kale Caesar Salad, 10/10 - gotta have your veggies to balance out your meal. I really liked the added texture from the quinoa. Chicken & Waffles, 10/10 - Korean fried chicken and taiyaki? Genius. I can always go for crispy kfc and I think there was a fair portion for everything. Can never get enough pickled radish tho, I ask for more wherever I go. My cousin got a matcha latte I tried but I rate it a 4/10. It's just okay. Besides the food the ambiance is also great for it being open to the mall. I like the decor inside a lot. The service was also good. Will come back again for brunch!

Alyssa T.

Yelp
A very cute restaurant tucked into South Coast Plaza. We decided to order 3 entrees and share: 1) The chilaquiles were described to us as something very large and easily shareable, but they came out the same size as the other entrees. The skin on the salmon was crispy and the meat was tender. The egg was cooked perfectly and the avocado was a nice touch. 2) The short rib hash tasted good but was a little bit more difficult to eat. The pieces were quite large so it was difficult to eat more than one piece at a time. Typically when you think of a hash, you think of smaller pieces pieces that you can eat in a single bite so that you can experience more of the components at once. The egg was also cooked perfectly and the short rib was tender. 3) The chicken and waffles were a fun unique take on the dish. I enjoyed that they chose to use taiyaki as the waffles and the chicken was served as wings that had a crunchy outside and tender meat inside. Having the chicken as wings made it easy to share but difficult to eat if you wanted to eat it with the waffles. The desserts were even more impressive than the entrees. It was very clear that a lot of care and attention was put into each of the desserts and the flavors were exceptional. I'm excited to go back and try more of their desserts one day.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
My friend and I came around noon on a Saturday and were seated right away. The service was great, and the space was modern and clean. I was most looking forward to the jasmine milk tea french toast but unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. It was good, but did not taste the jasmine tea flavor at all, it tasted more like pancake with strawberries and cream. 3.8/5 The short rib hash was pretty filling, I really liked the potatoes but the meat was inconsistent. Half of it was almost tender but half was dry. 3/5 The guava jasmine tea was just ok, I was expecting something more guava or tea in flavor but it tasted like a lemonade without the lemons? 2/5

Daniella P.

Yelp
Came here for brunch, and we got seated quickly. I didn't really like how the restaurant was still part of the mall with no real barrier. It made it a little hard to hear over the crowds of people coming in and shopping. We were the only ones there so our food came out quickly. I ordered the Chilaquiles which were tasty. The chips weren't soggy and it was overall very flavorful.

Jenny S.

Yelp
We visited for an early Saturday breakfast, the place was pretty empty which was nice. We had excellent service, the staff were so friendly and helpful to accommodate the 1 year old at our table. The Jasmine milk tea French toast was a standout, I would come back for that. I had a breakfast sandwich which was also good.

Victoria V.

Yelp
Food was tasty and had many options to choose from. The salmon chilaquiles was spicy but overpowering. The cauliflower salad was so delicious. I recommend adding a side steak with this if you order it for yourself. The French toast was a good to try item however the texture was not for me. Still good. My favorite was their Cali burrito. Our server was very nice and attentive. The restaurant space was roomy and for our large party of 8 adults and 5 children, it was a large table that was able to accommodate us considering two toddlers were in strollers. They also have high chairs available. I would come here again!

Rob W.

Yelp
It was a quiet night for the restaurant for our group of 7 as we practically had the place to ourselves. We started off with a few appetizers, including chicken wings and yellowtail collar. Both were tasty. The wings were a bit on the tiny side. For dinner I had the grilled black cod with a miso yuzu dressing. Moist and tender. Dessert was excellent as I opted for the strawberry lemon meringue pie deconstructed.

Victor G E.

Yelp
The food is limited in variety but interesting & very tasty. We had a large & delicious Caesar salad, roasted bone marrow (though it was a little skimpy for the price), charred cauliflower steak with chimichurie sauce & goat cheese cheesecake (stupendous). It is $$$ in cost. Service was very attentive & the surroundings in a mall was enlightening.

E L.

Yelp
Well my boyfriend and I, would always stop in for our favorite cookie! The salted carmel chocolate chip cookie! We were told recently, that they may not be making these cookies anymore! Please say it is not true! If they continue to make our favorite cookie, we will continue to come! And if so, I will rate this place a 5 star at that time!

Nina V.

Yelp
Tableau has always been on my list to try for brunch because of how beautiful and innovative their dishes are. I finally got to try it this past weekend and it lived up to the hype! We went around noon on a Sunday and it was busy but there were a few tables available. I did call in a few days before for a reservation though so we were seated in a pretty area with plants and good lighting. There's so many great things on the menu that we couldn't choose. Popular items listed by the waiter were the jasmine milk tea French toast, chicken and waffles (their take on it, with Korean fried chicken with taiyaki), the salmon chilaquiles and the short rib hash. We decided to go with the latter two and the waiter recommended trying the steak instead of salmon for the chilaquiles. The recommended drink was Holly's world and we got it. Holly's world was a mixed berry/mule type drink that was really pretty with each ingredient added into the glass as they were presenting it. I don't know if I'd get it again with the high price tag of $18 but it was a nice treat. The real stars were the food!! I can't stop thinking about the great flavors of each dish. The chilaquiles had the best sauce and crunch for the chips. The steak we ordered instead of salmon was delish!! And the short rib hash was such a pleasant surprise. I was expecting some dry short rib but each cube size piece was flavorful and some had a nice amount of fat in it. The potatoes were crisped perfectly and I loved it drenched in the sauce that was beneath them and the short rib. I'm coming back 100% and next time I'm going to try the French toast and chicken and waffles!

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try their breakfast. I really enjoyed their food and service. Jackie suggested the crogue madam and jasmine milk tea French toast. Both of them are really delicious

Yelp
Tableau has an interesting menu. On a recent visit we had the cauliflower salad, salmon risotto and Burrata & Butternut Squash. Their coffees and pastries are also good. The location is nicely situated with easy access to parking and shopping.

Yelp
I love this place! Great service and great food. It's in the other part of the mall so it's quieter which is nice. Everything on the menu sounded good so I'm excited to come back and try more!

Yelp
Tableau is a cute restaurant in an area of SCP that doesn't get too much foot traffic. I went on a Friday night and there were only a couple other parties. Because of this, the server was super attentive and checked up on our table very often. POG Sangria: 10/10 - a delicious fruity and refreshing drink that includes guava ice cubes! Salmon risotto: 5/10 - an average risotto. I've had much better at other restaurants, but it wasn't a bad tasting dish. NY steak: 9/10 - a very delicious steak! I'm usually not impressed by restaurant steaks, but I was pleasantly surprised by this steak. The salad had a good vinaigrette, but the potatoes were bland. Sea bass: 7/10 - the sea bass combined with the sauce in the lettuce wrap was quite tasty! Not quite a reorder though due to the price. Earl grey panna cotta: 9/10 - I love the yuzu (?) ice cream it comes with as well as the berry compote around. The crumble on top adds great texture. Overall, the food is good and the restaurant has a nice and chill vibe. It's on the pricier end, which makes sense for a south coast plaza restaurant. I've been here a few times already and it's always a good spot to meet up with friends. I think I would recommend coming for lunch more since it's a bit more affordable for good food.

Yelp
This place serves good food and the service is great although for the quality and wait time the prices are quite high. Most of the items are very average tasting though the presentation is cute.

Yelp
I am very excited to have discovered this place! I placed a to-go order: biscuits and sausage gravy, and a croque madame. Both were really delicious and the pastry that we picked up at the last moment was gorgeous and yummy too. I am definitely a Francophile so I am especially excited by the menu. Service was great, both on the phone and in person. I can't wait to go back to dine in!

Yelp
Good food, good service, and the owners are wonderful people. I had the salmon chilaquiles and really enjoyed it. I will definitely go back and try other menu items.

Yelp
When I think of brunch, Tableau is my go to spot! I love coming here, the staff are always attentive and helpful. The coffee is great as are the cocktails if you're in the mood for some. My absolute favorite dishes are the burrito and french toast. sharing those two is the perfect recipe for a weekend brunch

Yelp
The food was excellent, and the setting is nice. But what was noticeably different is that nearly every one of the staff stopped by to wait on us. Very personable and courteous, actually it was how genuine they were that made the difference.

Yelp
This place is super accommodating and flexible with my never ending planning of gathering friends and family to meet up. Definitely make phone calls to reserve for large party where I had a party of 16. They made every effort to make it painless and eager to help me. The log table was able to fit us 14 people( luckily 2 couldn't make it) and fit us comfortably. The clean aroma and spacious walkway make it feel more open and just a relaxing cozy environment. I ordered the Jasmine milk French toast and had the hollys world of drink which was super colorful. I definitely recommend this since it's not too heavy and just feels right. I was offered a complimentary champagne during the brunch which was quite a surprise. Thanks Tableau team and definitely will return.

Yelp
Starting off Sunday on a good note with my husband on our brunch date. Salmon chilaquiles and mixed berry pancakes with one hot coffee and one iced oat latte. Sunday funday indeed!
