Awesome date night! We attended the gnocchi with truffle parmesan sauce class on Saturday, 11/16 and had the best time with friends. The staff was extraordinarily kind, the chef was a great host & educator, the space is warm and inviting, and the high quality ingredients made for a delicious meal. I can’t recommend highly enough and we look forward to attending another class in the future,

I did an in town bachelorette weekend and we did a private cooking class with Tablespoon - it was SO fun! All the girls absolutely loved it. We got to have drinks, snacks, make dinner, and then all got to sit down and eat together. I am excited to come back to a class with my fiance. Thanks Tablespoon!!

Google
This was an excellent experience. They teach you, step by step, how to prepare and cook your own dinner. The work stations are roomy, and supplied with exactly the things you need. While you are putting things together, combining ingredients, even making your salad dressing from scratch and to taste, the folks at Tablespoon have totally curated your experience. Yes, you get to chop some things (they teach you how to miss your fingers) but everything is set out for you at your station. They are prepared to handle groups, singles, couples, whatever. You will feel like you prepared your own wonderful gourmet dinner, but somehow, it didn't seem like work! (Part of the reason is that the Tablespoon staff is always there whisking away any trash items, they do all of the dishes, and you can even take leftovers home with you! And don't skip the cookie. Excellent cookie! Splendid experience!

What a great experience my husband and I had. We attended the New Orleans Favorites class and enjoyed every minute of it. The class leaders were extremely kind and helpful. They made our time fun! The gumbo and bread pudding that we made were absolutely delicious and we were really happy to take home our leftovers! I highly recommend this experience!

Google
My husband and I attended the Gnocchi class and had a wonderful time! The cooking instructions were easy to follow and well paced (no prior experience needed) and the food was delicious! A great date night!

A couple weeks ago, my husband and I attended the Pizza & Wine night! It was so much fun and the perfect class for two newlyweds especially ones that are not the best at cooking! It was such a fun experience and very relaxing too, no pressure! The team at Tablespoon was awesome! They made sure everyone was comfortable, having a good time, not to mention really good in the kitchen giving great tips, advice and constant kudos along the way! If you are looking for a fun date night or a great night out with a friend or family member, look no further! Book a class asap!

This place is fantastic! My wife and I made paella and bacon-wrapped dates with manchego cheese. The instructor was great and walked us through all of the steps. We had fun cooking and the result was delicious! It was also super easy. We have already signed up for our next class. I would definitely recommend Tablespoon.

I spent my birthday morning here! It was such a wonderful experience. All the staff were really warm, the attention to detail was lovely and I left with cinnamon rolls to share with my family! The space is also so cute.

Yelp
I initially almost did not book a cooking class because of the price, but I highly suggest that you alter your thinking into paying for more than cooking, it's also an experience. My aunt and I booked a class for the 2 of us. Upon arrival we were welcomed to sit and have snacks as well as a drink. The cooking class came with 2 drinks. They had fantastic non-alcoholic options. Mocktails that weren't an afterthought. It was fantastic! Our instructor took the time to explain how everything would work and then we were told to find our pre-assigned stations. At our stations, a lot of the prep work and measuring of ingredients was already done for us. This taught me a lot about prep work and successful cooking. I am not a very good cook and between my aunt and myself, we stayed at pace with the instructor. Absolutely friendly for beginners or those without cooking talent. When we finished cooking, we sat down back at our seats to enjoy the food we had prepared. I couldn't believe that I cooked what I was eating! We were sent home with their in house cookies and the recipes to what we cooked. Not only were the food choices delicious and awesome but the experience was so much fun! I highly recommend.

Yelp
What an incredible experience. I've never done a cooking class before, and Tablespoon made making fresh pasta easy and fun. We had a great instructor and our food turned out delicious. Tickets are a bit pricey, but they do include 2 cocktails per person, all fresh ingredients, and the experience of cooking the meal with an instructor. Absolutely worth it.

Yelp
As good as it gets! We've taken two classes at Tablespoon Cooking Co. and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Our latest culinary adventure was the Pretzel and Beer Cheese class. What a fun class to offer!!! Who knew we could make these fan favorites at home. It was super fun to learn how to make pretzels from scratch, along with the perfect dipping sauce, beer cheese. We learned a lot; we laughed a lot; we made a lot of pretzels - enough to take home and munch for days. Everyone who works at Tablespoon Cooking Co. are superb hosts, helping and instructing along with way without interferring with the hands-on experience. They seem to appear like kitchen angels, just when you need them, and then spiriting awat any unnecessary items. This makes the clean-up a breeze. Can they make house calls? :) The space is gorgeous. The food delicious. The drinks are wonderful and add another tasting experience, usually something that goes perfectly with the dish. I highly recommend signing up for the next round of classes (and quickly - because they sell out fast)!!!!

Yelp
10/10 Fun time, learned so much and had a blast! Great to do as a double date night. We made homemade pasta and a salad

Yelp
This place was so easy going and perfect for a date night. I highly recommend. The drinks were always available and the food was amazing. They always make sure you are on track!

Yelp
What an incredible experience! I came across recommendations to try out Tablespoon as I searched for a unique birthday gift for my fiancé. We attended the Fresh Pasta: Garlic Chicken Alfredo class at the end of March and it was spectacular!! For the amount of food, experience, teaching, and time that we spent at Tablespoon, the price was very justifiable and I'm looking to book another class!! I highly recommend you try it out!!

Yelp
I was excited to bring a group from work to Tablespoon Cooking Co. for a training social. The staff was so friendly and worked very hard to make sure we had a good experience. The booking process was very easy and involved an initial request form, followed by a conversation with their customer Experience Director, Emily. She ensured she understood our group's goals for taking the class, all dietary preferences and restrictions were taken into account (to the extent of offering something off the menu for a coworker that needed a different offering), and that she understood our expectations. Not only did Tablespoon meet our expectations, they exceeded them. We made some absolutely delicious recipes as part of the Spanish Tapas Party Style menu, and were impressed by our own abilities by the end of the class. The bar was a nice touch and they allowed us to bill separately. They also had many knowledgeable staff there with unique pathways to cooking that made the experience so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this to any group that's looking for a creative (and delicious!) bonding activity.

Yelp
Tablespoon offers an incredible array of cooking classes of fresh ingredients and helpful cooking skills. They also supported me graciously through not one but two scheduling blunders on my part-they are absolute angels!

Yelp
First time trying a cooking class and had so much fun!!! We made corn and tomato risotto, truffle arancini and herb butter chicken. The class was paced well and the instructor would come around to check on everyone periodically. The staff were super attentive too and came around to ask us if we wanted any drinks and would remove any trash or dirty dishes at the stations for everyone. I had a rose and white wine while I cooked. I do wish there were some cocktail options! There were also tv screens above each station that showed a live view of the instructor's table as she cooked so we could follow along without having to leave our station. The finished product was DELICIOUS and we had lots of leftovers to take with us. The inside was super cute with all the plants and decorated beautifully. Highly recommended for a date night or outing with friends!! I'll absolutely be back!!

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about our experience this evening. We had so much fun. the atmospheres is amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Everything was well prepared. It was perfect. A great date night. I took my best friend for a birthday present. I highly recommend any cooking event there.

Yelp
I've done several classes and I have learned so much that I use all the time. The instructors are so easy to learn from and make the class fun!

Yelp
I've been to two different classes at Tablespoon, so I feel confident in leaving a rave review. The first class I took was a holiday food and wine pairing class, and it was amazing. We didn't get a full meal with this class, but we had plenty of wine and a variety of appetizers! I even bought a few bottles to bring home with me! I bought tickets to their fresh pasta class for my boyfriend for Christmas. We sat down and Jordan explained how the class would work, and then we all got set up at our stations. They demonstrated how to make pasta from scratch, and then we were released to our stations to make our own pasta dough (that we got to take home!!!). This is not a cooking demonstration - it's hands on from start to finish, which we LOVED. After we made our pasta, we watched another demonstration for how to make the sauce while the staff CLEANED OUR STATIONS FOR US!!! And that's how it worked for the whole class... we would watch a demonstration, then head back to a clean station to prepare it ourselves, repeat! The staff walked around while we were cooking to answer questions or refill wine or just chat! In total, we made two kinds of pasta, with two sauces and got to eat all of it (or take it home, but there were no leftovers at our table )! The event was lively and fun and made a concept like pasta from scratch seem easy enough to do at home! I can't wait to come back for more classes!

Yelp
I had always wanted to make an apple pie from scratch and I finally was able to get into 1 of 3 sold out pie classes! It was so much fun to meet knew people and learn the art of making a double crust apple pie from scratch. The class was about 3hours but it went by so fast. Upon arrival, I got a glass of wine introduced myself to the other ladies at my table and the class began quickly. Jordan(owner) taught us step by step and in between we went back to our tables to do it ourselves. I was able to bake my pie there and take it home. We ended Class with more wine and 2 slices of pie (apple & pumpkin). We also got the full step by step recipe to take home. I can't wait for my next class!

Yelp
They are my favorite!!!! I've been to, ummm, maybe 4 or 5 Tablespoon cooking company classes and I seriously can't get enough. They make the experience so fun and informative. I even did a blog post about them. It was great to hear about Jordan's background and what led her to creating Tablespoon. I'm so glad she did! Some of the classes I've been to are knife skills, fried chicken and champagne, tapas and sangrias, and more. They have such a nice variety of options each month. Some are their usual classes that they offer each month but they always thrown in different ones as well. Usually they're fitting to whatever time of year it is, holidays, etc. No matter what class I go to, I learn so much that I can easily apply at home. Everyone who assists in the class is also extremely helpful. The classes aren't so big where you'll feel lost in there either. One tip: sign up for their emails. Every month the classes sell out super fast but if you sign up, you'll get notified of what the classes are and when they'll go on sale in advance so you can be ready!

Melissa Z.

Yelp
We came here on a date night for the fresh pasta Bolognese class and loved it! The class was so much fun, the food and drinks were amazing, and the cookies at the end were such a nice treat. Tommy was our instructor and did a great job of explaining everything and letting us go at our place while keeping everything light and entertaining. I love this place and will be back soon!

Yelp
There are not enough stars for this business! Jordan is the owner of this fantastic company. I've participated in Cookbook Club, virtual classes, and in person classes. I have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and seriously make you feel like they are welcoming you into their own homes. The food is always beyond fantastic, and I always learn something new. Currently, they are located at Findlay Kitchen. But, they just started work on their own place--so exciting! If you want to sign up for classes, you better get on the email list and set a timer...they sell out like hot cakes. For good reason!!!

Yelp
Such a fun experience! I came for Date Night: Pasta where we made raviolis. Jordan + crew were great at demonstrations and attentive while you were at your own prep station to answer any questions (and refill your wine/beer). In our class, we made a seasonal ravioli filled with sweet potatoes finished with a sage butter sauce. We also made a mushroom creamy sauce to use on top of a second pasta noodle we got to make. Restaurant quality but fun since we made it ourselves! They do not skimp on ingredients so when you're done, you have a satisfying meal and you're not leaving hungry. I was a little nervous at first that I would be awful at it since I'm only a renowned chef in my own kitchen, but they were down to earth and easy going. I think the fact that they were so approachable and relatable is what made the experience so great that I can't wait for my next class. Pro tip: they do groups and private parties!!

Yelp
My mom and I had SO. MUCH. FUN at our Tablespoon Cooking Co. class! I decided to let her pick out a class for her Christmas gift and we landed on "A Night in New Orleans"... because what better way to spend Fat Tuesday? First of all, I love the story of how this place came to be. Jordan, the owner, went to culinary school and was a corporate chef before deciding to create Tablespoon Cooking Co. While she didn't teach our class, her passion for cooking and teaching was very apparent. They started by basically handing us a beignet and a glass of wine when we walked in -- can you think of a better greeting? Though we didn't cook the beignets ourselves, they offered a recipe (and the option of comparing the homemade version to a box of Cafe du Monde mix -- spoiler alert: the homemade is always better!) The remainder of the class was hands-on as we tackled Chef Catrina's -- a New Orleans native -- gumbo. I loved the authenticity of her recipe, tips and stories. She was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Midway through class, they offered us Pimm's Cup -- a fancy cocktail that quickly became my new fave. The best part was all wine and drinks were COMPLIMENTARY, which is basically unheard of at other local cooking classes. Another perk was that you are actually encouraged to bring plastic containers to take home your leftovers. This is because they have a separate license (since they also cater), which is also unlike other local cooking classes. Heck YAS. My mom and I left with full stomachs, new recipes, and tons of leftovers. We're already discussing what our next class will be! Thanks for the fun evening, Jordan, Catrina, and team!

Yelp
I was invited to one of the Tablespoon classes by Tiff D. I'm glad she invited me. I had a good time and we made some tasty food. When you arrive there is a table at the front that everyone sits down at to mingle before starting. Everything was super organized and laid out. We had all paper work, recipes and name tags on the table ready for us. They also have alcoholic beverages for you to have while cooking. I am pregnant so I had to miss out on this experience. Lol. The cooking stations were also set up and ready. Also, all of the staff is extremely nice, accommodating and super helpful. It was a very good time with good vibes and attitudes. I attended the class where you make recipes from a specific cookbook. The cookbook topic for this class was Edna Lewis and southern cooking. I don't remember the cookbook title. What I liked about this cookbook was Edna's recipes were simple and didn't call for a lot of ingredients. Each dish could be made within 30-45 min (not including cook time). However, the cook time for each dish wasn't long. We made a good amount of recipes within a 3 hr time span. We made Fried Chicken, Corn Muffins, Asparagus, Sweet Potatoes, Salad and a Mushroom Cream Sauce. We physically made everything except the sweet potatoes and asparagus. The staff made that and passed it around at dinner time. The style of the cooking class is watch the instructor and then go back and repeat steps and follow the recipe. They have a teaching station at the front of the kitchen that everyone stands around to watch and listen to tips. Then everyone goes back to their cooking station with their partner and makes what the instructor just showed you. While I liked this concept I kind of didn't. It bothered me to have to keep starting and stopping. For every separate dish, we would have to stop what we were doing and meet back up at the main station. It did allow for staff to clear our stations and prep for the next dish to be cooked. However, it just threw my focus off. I would be into what I was doing and cooking and then all of a sudden I'd have to stop and go back to the middle. Other than this I don't have any other complaints. I'm not sure there is a way around this. It was just more of a personal dislike. At the end of the meal we all sat down and ate our dinner together. They also surprised us and made fresh baked cookies. Those were really good and it was perfect they were warm right out the oven. Overall, I enjoyed myself at the Tablespoon cooking class. I'd definitely take another class.

Yelp
My husband did the virtual fried chicken cooking class and it was absolutely amazing! Even virtually, it was easy to keep up, follow instructions and make something absolutely delicious. It was such a fun thing to do together without even leaving our home. We got the whole ingredients kit, but you would have an amazing time joining the class and getting your own ingredients too! Highly recommend for someone looking for something to do with their family.

Yelp
Hands down the best cooking class experience I have ever had! I purchased a ticket for us to do one of the date night events and it exceeded my expectations. We went for Fried Chicken and Champagne and we left with tummies full, delicious champagne selection, a packet of recipes and new tips to try. The up front cost may seem intimidating but Jordan and her staff know what they are doing and her classes are sure to sell out quick! Great opportunity for date night, team building or a new adventure. Start checking classes today! They sell out quick!! My fiancé said it was a great gift and was appreciative I found this space. We are looking forward to future classes with Tablespoon.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest, I tend to cook only because I have to feed myself and can't afford to eat out all the time. Sometimes I do enjoy the process of cooking, but other times I feel completely uninspired and feel pressure to find recipes for something yummy--there's a bit of added pressure as I am a vegetarian. HOWEVER! I have always loved the idea of cooking classes to ignite that spark to want to cook new recipes that I never would have thought of, or to simply learn the basics for certain dishes that I never would have pursued on my own. Tablespoon Cooking Co. is THAT PLACE! I've gone for two classes (Cream Puffs & Eclairs and Fresh Pasta) and have thoroughly enjoyed the step-by-step learning process and final results every time! The instructors are extremely thorough in describing the process for each recipe and even give some background about why some techniques are the norm and other ways to go about achieving the results you're looking for. I feel so accomplished when I finally get to taste what I've made and it's delicious! Tablespoon hosts a variety of classes throughout the year, so if you're ever wanting to try something new just for fun or you've always been curious about how to make something, look to Tablespoon to provide that experience for you! I'd go to every class if I could!

Yelp
I went to an event at Revel Urban Winery and Tablespoon was catering it. The owner and chef talked all about her company and gave us great insight into how to pair wine different 7 different flavors of food. Tablespoon has an event called Wine Essentials at Revel once a month and we basically got a mini version of that at this event. Tablespoon was very professional, provided us with great food to taste, and offers so many different hands on and fun classes! I would recommend signing up for one of their events because it's guaranteed you will have some hands on fun!

Uc B.

Yelp
if you have cooking experience and are working with a partner you will be fine. if you don't have cooking experience and are working with a partner you might be ok. if you don't have cooking experience and are working by yourself you could be in trouble. instructor went way to fast for a novice like myself. She moved from A to B to C while I am still trying to accomplish A. Very frustrating.

Phil C.

Yelp
I took their meal prep class and loved it. The food was delicious, tons of great ideas and I've made a ton of vege packs ever since. I liked their class so much I signed my parents up for a class as a date night. Well I made a mistake and signed them up for a toddler class instead of the one I wanted and I didn't realize it until the wrong class was already over. I called the day of the class I had wanted and explained it to Emily who was able to find a way to get me into the class as an exception. It's great customer service on top of a great experience that makes them world class! I definitely recommend!
google avatar

Derrick B.

Yelp
I've taken a few cooking classes with Jordan and she is absolutely wonderful! The food always turns out great and I've had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend for people looking for an outside the box (pun intended) experience for yourself and/or a partner!
google avatar

Yelp
I have taken 2 classes with TBSP Cooking Co(knife skills and Mardi Gras) as well as their first cookbook club event. The classes are a perfect combination of entertainment and learning. In each class, I took home food and recipes as well as the hands on knowledge. They helped me speed up my own cooking at home and expand my abilities in the kitchen. The staff is fantastic, they are fun and friendly. I was even remembered when we came to the second class which was a great feeling. They care about putting on great classes and they care about their young at home chefs.

Yelp
A friend and I went to the biscuits and gravy class tonight and it was incredible! The team was fun and engaging and the food we made was great! It was a simple step by step and easy to follow experience. This is a great outing for a pair or a group. Thanks to Jordan and the team for a wonderful experience!! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
We took a class on Biscuits & Gravy. The instruction, equipment, food, and atmosphere were excellent. There was a lot of food left to take home. Will definitely take another class.

MK H.

Yelp
We had such a great time with Jordan, Becca and Marcus at the Biscuit and Gravy class. The ingredients, tools and recipes were very organized. Jordan is a wonderful teacher, she demonstrates the recipe clearly and gives you plenty of time to execute. She and her team are open to questions and are willing to help in any way they can. We will be back soon!

Lori L.

Yelp
Jordan and her team provided an excellent introduction to knife skills. The class was fun, informative, and included plenty of one-on-one instruction. Looking forward to trying another of her classes in the future! Loved the collaboration with other local business on the pre-class meal!

Janelle F.

Yelp
We attended a cooking class on how to make Cincinnati chili. The facility was perfect, the staff were very attentive and the meal after the class was excellent. We were part of a group passing thru Cincinnati for the night and I was impressed with the mission of Tablespoon Cooking Co. Highly recommend.

Jessica L.

Yelp
What a fun night!! I've tried a number of cooking classes in Cincinnati and Jordan's was by far the best. Interactive, hands-on, and focused not just on repeat-after-me/recipe cooking but on theory as well. I have skills I can take and use over and over again. I did the sauces class and will hands down be back for another! Thank you for an amazing class!
