Had an incredible meal and cocktail here! Our waiter Kyle provided impeccable service and the sweetest young lady Noreen greeted is with a welcoming smile and nice conversation. Highly recommend!

I sat at the bar and ordered a Don Julio Margarita. For food I got the wagyu dumplings with ponzu sauce and the pretzels with grain mustard and beer cheese. The dumplings were tasty and tender and the pretzels were perfect. The sauces were all very flavorful. For my second drink I ordered a delicious Aperol Spritz. Kyle was an excellent bartender. Extremely attentive, friendly and personable. The atmosphere is inviting with wood floors and a large dining room area. 10/10 would recommend Tabor Road Tavern. There were 5 wagyu dumplings but I ate one before the picture 😋

I have reviewed and loved the sister restaurant next door: Grato. Now it is time to come back to Tabor Road Tavern. This is a beautiful restaurant with a warm inviting interior design. The staff are helpful and courteous. The food is the standout, however. My tuna tartar was fresh and clean tasting punctuated with wasabi cream sauce. Perfect appy. My main was the short rib, very tasty. Desserts were outstanding. You need to go here soon. I’ll be at the next table.

We had biscuits plus llunch and mocktail+cocktails. The BLT was great. Burger was juicy and the fries were perfect shoe string type fries. The Tabor sampler (field salad with light vinaigrette, clam chowder, and hot honey chicken) was a good opportunity to try multiple items. Espresso martini and Old Fashioned were also very good.

WOW! When we pulled up to the front door, we just knew this was gonna be good! We thought it was just a tavern but boy were we pleasantly pleased when seated. Our server was absolutely excellent! She suggested a few menu items and specialty seasonal adult beverages. Our food was very delicious, I think my eyes rolled back at my 1st bite of steak! All else was just as wonderful. We were visiting from Las Vegas & will definitely tell family & friends that New Jersery just might be the best!!

Google
Tabor Road Tavern was perfect for my best friend’s night-before-the-wedding dinner, with great food and an incredible atmosphere that felt warm and comforting. The service from both our servers and bartenders was top-notch—truly a wonderful experience.

Google
Top notch service, and the menu was very unique. Touches of Asian, touches of European - I am impressed! Attentive and knowledgeable service who walked us through the menu and made some great recommendations, lovely environment and decor and the pork chop! Wow!

Melissa F.

Google
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Three of us for a business dinner and all three of us were very happy with our selections. Best calamari I’ve had in a long time.

Yelp
Walking into Tabor Road Tavern is a wonderful experience, especially during the holidays. Coming in, our waiter Dennis treated us to a fun and delicious experience (be sure to order a margarita from him!). My party ordered holiday cocktails, which were light and festive. The environment was warm and homey, amplified by the Christmas decor and fireplace. We definitely recommend coming and look forward to our next visit! Shout out Dennis!

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant! Went in for lunch on a Monday and it was quite busy. Got seated, server took our order and got our drinks. The iced tea service is spectacular and just so good. The kitchen must have been backed up - took almost an hour and our server didn't check in, but it was fine. The meal - trio of salad, soup, and a crispy chicken slider - was really excellent, and at a great price. Felt like I was getting good value for money here. Would recommend reservations, looks like this place gets very busy!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for our anniversary lunch today and the Caesar salad was awesome, my husband's lettuce wedge salad was more than expected, his crabcake appetizer became his entrée and he said it was amazing!! My entrée of a lobster roll was the BEST I've ever had - even better than the ones we had in Kennebunkport!!! The service was excellent, and we were complimented two champagne glasses of Prosecco to toast our anniversary! If I could give it six stars, I would! Definitely recommend it and we will be going back!

Yelp
When I was in the area more often, I always loved coming here. Since I was back in the area for work, I decided to stop in for lunch. The place is as great as I remembered. I decided to try the lunch trio where you can pick three options and I decided to have the chowder, Caesar salad, and the pan seared salmon; it was all very good; the salmon was cooked perfectly. The service, as usual, was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Good service and delicious food in Jersey. Came here for a team building lunch and they were able to accommodate! Decent customer service and good food overall!

Yelp
I attended this place once again. For an appetizer, the crunchy shrimp spring rolls were ordered. They came with a lime miso dressing and a sweet chili sauce. I initially thought they would come out cold because I saw spring rolls but should have known better since they were also described as crunchy. They were tasty and both sauces enhanced the rolls. I liked the contrast between the dressing and sauce. The spring rolls were also open-faced, which made them messier than they had to be, but they were filled to capacity. For my meal, I went with the Tabor Road burger. The meat was a ribeye blend with garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, pickles, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. I opted for the meat to be cooked medium rare and that was how it came out, perfect cook. There was a solid ratio of bread to filing. It was a well-seasoned burger along with the other fixings. It also came with a side of fries that came out hot and crispy with enough seasoning. My only issue was the cheese was not fully melted, but not a huge deal. For dessert, the Reese's half-baked cookie was ordered. It came with a vanilla gelato, caramel sauce, and whipped cream. The cookie had Reese's pieces, which I was not expecting. It came out very warm and soft. The vanilla gelato was a great compliment to that. It was a satisfying ending to the meal.

Yelp
Excellent!! Great Food- Service - and atmosphere! Bar tender offered recommendations that were spot on!! We will definitely return!!

Yelp
Great service, great food! We sat at the bar and Diane was our server. The inside has a barn feel to it, it's rustic with high wood beams and a fireplace that was burning. Diane was friendly and tended to our drink orders right away, she even gave me a fresh, cold Martini glass to refresh my martini while we were eating. Lunch menu was very reasonable and portions were large. We didn't need an appetizer or dessert. Halibut was cooked a little firm but still good, the romesco sauce on the bottom gave it a unique touch. The burger was a double patty and my husband really enjoyed it. He had the seasonal Pacino old fashioned, which I even liked, seemed to be a favorite as we saw others ordering the same. It had a hint of sweetness. Inside was nicely decorated for the holidays with poinsettias throughout.

Yelp
We went for the unannounced grand opening a LONG time ago and to be honest, didn't like it. After recently hearing good things from friends, we decided we should give it a second try. It's very good now! I don't know what prompted the changes, but the improvements are great. We will be dining here again!

Yelp
My family went to Tabor Road Tavern for dinner the other night. It was incredible. The food was delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I had an Aperol Spritz to drink. For dinner I had a chicken pot pie with loaded mashed potatoes. For dessert, I had flourless chocolate cake with sea salt ice cream. Super delicious! I would highly recommend all of them.
google avatar

Flaquita M.

Yelp
First time here. Service was STELLAR. No less than 5 staff visited our table. Started with the Shrimp Casino. Just one adjective required: BUTTER! It was so incredible my husband asked for bread to soak up the butter/gruyere pooling in the dish. Must try. I had the NY Strip Steak over mashed. It was perfectly cooked and perfectly paired with the cheesy tasting spuds. Husband had the halibut. It was excellent and beautifully cooked. The creamy sauce was not overpowering. Finished with lattes and chocolate gelato. 3 critiques: 1. Gelato was very clearly freezer burned, which we told the server about. 2. We were seated quite far from the kitchen with a fireplace separating us. It was very very loud and we heard the chefs yelling at everyone. 3. Place is beautiful but Didn't care for choice of music which leant an atmosphere more like a sports bar. All in all we loved it and the food was excellent!

Yelp
The place was nice and cozy. We sat at the bar, what we usually like to do. I ordered the spicy pineapple margarita and it did not disappoint. We ordered a few apps to share. We got the lobster bites Wagyu crispy dumplings And I had to ordered the Brussel sprouts with pancetta. The Brussels were a bit disappointing. Very plain and we both agreed needed salt. We added salt and it helped. The wagyu dumplings were okay. Just tasted like a plain meatball to us. It was supposed to be served with a truffle ponzu dipping sauce but we didn't taste any truffle in it. The lobster bites were soo good though. Wish we had more! Service was kind from everyone. No complaints there. I didn't have the "best" first impression with the food but I would like to go again and try another cocktail and more food. I'll be back! Thank you!

Harriet G.

Yelp
Food is average, the fact that service is poor coupled with above average pricing makes it a no go. I discussed the poor experience we had with the manager and I was not assured it would not happen again.

Yelp
I ate at Tabor Road Tavern with coworkers/business associates so my pics were limited but we all enjoyed this restaurant. We had a party of 10 people and had made a reservation in advance. We had a small room just for our party. We ordered several appetizers for the table: calamari, cauliflower, salads, etc. for the main course, the table ordered a variety of items. A few ordered the Beef Wellington, some the halibut. I went with a burger and the truffle fries. It was good, but not outstanding (wish I'd chosen something else). The rest of the people were very happy with their meals. The drink menu was varied, including nonalcoholic cocktails, seasonal adult cocktails, and also wine (by the bottle or glass). The dessert menu also looked amazing. We did not order any however. My observation is that the desserts were on the expensive side (like $15 each). The rest of the menu was appropriate in price. Our server was really great. Considering the size of our table, she did a fantastic job. Friendly, not hovering but no one ran out of water or other beverage. The speed of the food was perhaps a bit slow but considering the size of our party, it was very good. Overall, I can recommend this spot for a large party.

Yelp
I do not like Tabor Tavern, I LOVE it! I was there last Sunday for a private birthday party and the entire event could not have gone better. First, there were passed appetizers: Shrimp Cocktail Mac and Cheese bites Mini Egg Rolls Cheeseburger sliders Mozzarella and Tomato skewers For my main, I went with a delicious lemon flounder with potato and asparagus; it was a check plus. I noticed on the beverage menu that Tabor Tavern had table-side iced tea carafes. I ordered two for the table; white peach tea with ginger and a raspberry herbal. The presentation was INCREDIBLE. The waiter came to the table with a small carafe of brewing tea and a double-sized carafe FILLED to the brim with ice, plus additional glasses filled to the top with ice and lemon. Then, he poured the hot tea into the larger ice-filled carafe and set it on the table. WOW. Just WOW!!! I mean, where else does THAT happen???? Dessert and coffee were fantastic as well. Our server, Kyle, could not have been nicer or more skilled The restaurant itself is also lovely, with a big bin of local apples for patrons upon entering!

Yelp
Cozy and rustic vibes with a comfort style food menu to match. Tabor Road is part of Harvest Restaurant Group and you can definitely tell - they always do a great job with the decor. We started out with maple biscuits with honey butter. These came served hot and fresh and they were divine. For my main I went with the cavatelli with sausage and broccoli. Usually this dish has a lighter sauce with olive oil and garlic, but this was full out mac and cheese. This was a pleasant surprise though. It was so decadent and gooey and the breadcrumb topping added the perfect crunch. The portion was also very generous. We posted up at the bar (which has a great ambiance) and enjoyed everything with a few beers. Even though this is labeled as a 'tavern' it's definitely a nicer dining experience, and you can expect to see $40-$50 entrees like steak and lobster. I'm not sure if I'd come back with my kids, but for date night it's a great option.

Yelp
One of our favorite go to restaurants of the Harvest Group. Tabor Road is my probably my favorite out of the group since I do like the food & atmosphere and I've come to know most of the staff & head manager, Ross, who is always very accommodating and treats us well. I suggest you give it a try. My only suggestion is they add to the menu. My & wife & I would like to see a chicken dish or two on the menu, just like their sister restaurant next door has. Other than that, I like the food here. The apps , Salmon & Halibut are my favorite dishes. A must try!

Yelp
First time trying when traveling through for business. Inside and outside very nice and was busy for lunch on a Tuesday . Staff was friendly , clean , and diverse lunch menu at decent price points .

Yelp
We planned the perfect rehearsal dinner for my son and his now wife. Unfortunately the Tabor Road Tavern did not deliver There were no servers ,the dinner was served 2.5 hour after we arrived, our drinks were never refilled Half of our party had to leave because the big event was scheduled for the next day before desert was even served which took an additional hour My husband did say something to the manager and he assured us that we would not have to pay for the drinks, but then we were charged anyway. We called and were told the general manager would handle the situation, which also did not happen We paid a lot of money for the perfect event and the Tabor Road Tavern did not do anything to rectify the horrible outcome. It was actually heartbreaking. We are so disappointed. Don't plan any events there if you want your the perfect day

Yelp
We attended a beautiful bridal shower at Tabor Road Tavern on 06/01/24. First of all, what a gorgeous restaurant this is! Very rustic yet elegant. They have the best ambient lighting. I also loved being able to see their wine storage rooms through glass; I thought that was a nice touch! They have event rooms at the back of the restaurant. The section we had reserved had its own live fireplace, lots of windows & decorated with nice linens. We were met with a table of apps, such as a charcuterie board & fruits. Very well presented! For lunch, we had a 3 course meal with our choice of a salad or soup, 4 entrees & lemon buttercream cake. Such an elegant place & definitely worthwhile for a nice party such as a bridal shower. The waitstaff was efficient & came around regularly to clear plates & ensure that water glasses remained full.

Yelp
For the past 10 years, this has been a go to place when in the Mountain Lakes area. I have never had a bad meal here or received bad service. I cannot make a recommendation because whatever I have ordered was delicious. My only pet peeve is they have valet parking, WHY?
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent dinner last night at Tabor Road Tavern! I've driven past this restaurant on Rt 10 in Morris Plains hundreds of times, so glad we finally dined there. What hits you when you walk in is how beautiful it is inside. The high ceilings, the natural wood, and plenty of fireplaces make such a nice setting for dinner, especially on a winter night. We were a group of 4 and all of us thought the food was delicious. I started with a Maple Spice Old Fashioned cocktail which went down smooth. The Just Baked Cheddar Onion Biscuits were very good, as was the New England Clam Chowder. Our entrees included the Filet, Pork Chop, Strip Steak, and my Slow Braised Short Ribs. No complaints, everything was delicious! The restaurant is much larger than I expected, but was packed on a Friday night. Definitely make reservations if you're going. Our server was excellent. Prices for this level restaurant were reasonable. I give it a thumbs up!

Edward L.

Yelp
Our go to place to celebrate with family or to grab a burger midweek. Love the wood burning fireplaces now that it's getting cooler.

Joann R.

Yelp
My daughter and son-in-law treated me to a birthday dinner at Tabor Road Tavern recently. I have been there before but just for drinks at the bar. This was my first dining experience. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Our server Ivan was wonderful! My pre-dinner cocktail was so good and the wine with dinner even better. I had the Beef Wellington as it is not something you usually see on a menu around here. It was outstanding! The beef was like butter and melted in your mouth! Great dinner and would go again!

Amy M.

Yelp
I really want to write a decent review, but I feel like the price does not reflect the quality of the food. I started with a strawberry rhubarb specialty drink for $15. It came in a champagne flute. In my opinion, this drink should have been served in a wine glass. I then ordered the chicken ricotta meatballs with zucchini spaghetti. It was slightly warm and tasted bland. The quantity was also questionable. We then ordered the Lobster roll, this was served on a hot dog bun. Having ordered this before, it was not what I expected. It just felt like there was no care taken in presentation. I understand the restaurant business is difficult, and you can't please everyone. On the positive side, it's still a beautiful restaurant with nice decor.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
We came here for an anniversary dinner and I even put it on our resy reservation to see what would happen. When we sat down, there was a happy birthday note on our table which gave us a laugh. We started with the spicy passionfruit Margs, lobster bites and pretzels. Everything was awesome. Really, we were so into the lobster bites. I got the lobster pasta and my fiancé got the beef Wellington. Both were amazing. And our desserts? Awesome; he got the bread pudding, I got the cookie skillet thing. Service on the other hand? Meh. We were our waiters only table, he just seemed sort of disinterested? He asked us at the end of the meal whose birthday it was, and we told him that it was our anniversary. He said he would have brought us a champagne toast if he knew. So sweet! And he did! Except for when we got the bill we noticed we were charged for it? Which we have no problem paying for what we consume, but also we wouldn't have ordered it? I don't know. But overall, awesome meal and awesome ambiance. Really enjoyed it. Food came fast too.

Yelp
Loved it! Great food! Good service and atmosphere. I loved the menu choices and want to go back again to try more dishes.
google avatar

Punga I.

Yelp
I went there with few friends today. Not so good experience. First of all the so called cowboy steak doesn't exist. So not sure when people had those on the menu. Everything we ordered from calamari to tartar to cauliflower was opposite to what we thought. And our entrees were not even finished with two guests deciding to not even take home what they didn't eat. To make matters worse service was a big meh. Coffee served with no milk and sugar and it took 5 minutes to get anyone's attention. Never coming back. And if I do come back it shall be for the truffle fries ONLY.
google avatar

Lucy B.

Yelp
Nice looking place and that's it. All food was cold and flavorless. If you like bland tasting pilgrim food then this is the place for you. Portions are very small yet expensive. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Daniela D.

Yelp
Had a wedding rehearsal dinner here so we had a preset menu and the entire back room. The service was good and the food was great. There was good music playing and the vibe was just very fun. This is definitely a good after work spot or a date night spot

Crystal T.

Yelp
This a a great place to eat, and the waiters, bartenders, managers, cooks were all nice, for example Noreen (manager, I think ) was very kind, she offered to change the thermostat because it was cold, but the best part was that she went all the way to the other restaurant just to get 2 meatballs for me! I mean that's top service. Another example is Rebecca (bartender) was very kind and bubbly and helped me find the bathroom, she was genuinely happy to show me some cool tricks even while making drinks. The food was heaven , even ordering from the kids menu felt like gourmet food ( credits to the chef! ). Definitely coming here for firsts, seconds, maybe even millionths! - Scarlett (10 years old)
google avatar

Bryan Z.

Yelp
The food is most excellent, pleasantly prepared and presented with the benchmark service that should be the standard, all in a wonderful open barn like old/ new world space with the warmest ambiance that makes connects one's self comfort level to the foods making them taste that much more pleasing to the body. The Smoked Turkey & Brie Melt herb mayo, arugula, chutney, raisin pecan bread!!! Is amazing, must taste and see.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were all awesome! Highly recommend this restaurant and I will be certain to go back.
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a friend and we enjoyed our meal from start to finish! We opted for the spinach dip as an appetizer, which was delicious. The chip to dip ratio was definitely off (not nearly enough chips) but we were able to get additional chips and it was overall a solid choice for a starter. For my entree I went with the ribs which were SO good. The meat was super tender and fell right off the bone. We ended our meal with a huge slice of carrot cake (perfect for sharing). The service was great and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The menu is on the pricier side so this place would make a nice option for a special occasion meal.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way back from an open house in Rockaway. The hostess didn't seem to know where to seat us since it was Mothers Day (no problem) so we sat at the bar. Food and drinks were pretty pricey here so we settled for drinks and apps. I ordered the Chamomille Mezcal and my boyfriend ordered the Blueberry Ginger Lemonade. Both drinks came quickly and were strong but my boyfriend and I loved the Mezcal so much that he made it for me again as soon as we got home. The Blueberry Ginger Lemonade was very sour at first but a splash of syrup from the bartender quickly solved that. For apps, we got the calamari and the chicken barely soup. Was very impressed by the chicken barely soup (never would've thought to add pesto) but the Calimari was just ok, a little bit on the chewy side for me. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, it definitely had a modern rustic feel to it and it felt relatively clean as all the servers were in uniform. The bathroom was a little messy when I went in, but it seems like they do make an effort to clean it often Overall, good food, drinks and ambiance, but probably won't make it back here for a while given the distance from home and the price (bill came out to $100+ with 4 drinks, 1 app and 4 soups)

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere and great food. We came here first time for our anniversary and were met with a glass of bubbly and a card at our table, wishing us a happy one. The food, drinks and desserts were outstanding. The petite Maine lobster bites were a favorite, with large chunks of fresh lobster meat in a creamy, buttery sauce. We devoured those along with our mains and dessert and enjoyed the evening so thoroughly that we brought our whole team back for a holiday luncheon recently -- also a fabulous meal. Can't wait to return to try more of the wonderful and diverse menu!

Yelp
Made an early reservation on a Friday and were able to secure a table by the fireplace. There were four of us, and we started at the bar for a quick cocktail. I had a ginger-beer fizz thing which was tasty - I appreciated the heavy ginger flavor (but I couldn't really taste any booze). The place itself is beautiful - an upscale tavern, with a few little private areas that would be perfect for a group dinner or private party. Once seated, we ordered a few appetizers. The group decided on the chicken sesame potstickers, the tuna tartare, and the burrata. all three were delicious but nothing was really "life-changing". The guys had the pork chops, which seemed to be tasty. Both looked cooked well and juic - very thick and came with some vegetable/potato to round out the meal. My friend ordered the chicken pot pie and that was delicious as well - very flaky and a very rich, thick broth inside. Because I knew I would be pretty full from the apps, I went for just the small ceasar salad. I was surprised the dressing wasn't the creamy kind - a bit more acidic than I was imagining. The real earner of stars in this review was the deserts. The guys weren't interested but we opted for a vanilla bean creme brulee and the cinnamon roll bread pudding. OMG our eyes hit the backs of our heads. That bread pudding was simply to DIE for and I spent 2 hours at home googling recipes to try and recreate it. Our server did switch halfway through the meal without them telling us (until after the swap), but we were checked on relatively frequently, given good recommendations, and were left alone to chatter amongst ourselves which was nice. Overall - a great experience and I'd be interested to return again!

Yelp
I'm pretty surprised by the low rating they have on yelp. I stopped in twice for dinner during my 3 week work trip to the area. One night was alone at the bar and another night was in the dining room with some other people. Through both visits, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the Caesar Salad and Seared Ahi Tuna the first visit and enjoyed both of them. The portions were a little small for the tuna but it was delicious. The second visit I had the Tuna Tartare and the burger. The tuna tartare was a unique take with the crispy wontons that held the tuna and I loved it. The burger was average and I enjoyed the fries. The price is a little higher but I believe you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is very cool and the menu had something for everyone. The beer list was pretty good as well! This was a cool spot and I'd definitely come back for a nice dinner.

Yelp
Incredible food!! Had dinner at an event last night, and the drinks (cosmo and the manhattan) were amazing. Also loveddddd the tuna tartare. Salmon and dessert were good too. Definitely will come back!!

Yelp
Came here on a weeknight for dinner and made a reservation just in case too. This was my first visit here and I was dining alone and as I was in town for work. The server was very friendly and quick to offer recommendations which was quite helpful. He was also very sensitive to any type of allergies or food dislikes and took those all into consideration not only in his recommendations but also in providing options and alternatives. I thoroughly enjoyed this dinner and would definitely come back here again as this place was very large and I sat on the perimeter area of the dining room. This is classic American Italian type fare with some classic and yet modern infusions in the dishes. Portions are more than generous and I wish I had room for dessert but because the appetizer and dinner were so large I could not make it.

Yelp
I decided to give this place a try recently. I want to start by saying the staff was very friendly and attentive which matters. I ordered several appetizers, one of them being the ribs. They were fine but nothing to amazing. I felt the same way about our main course, decent but not memorable. The only real issue I had was the bar. I was disappointed they did not have any real seasonal drinks like a pumpkin spiced martini or something to that effect. They did have a small menu with seasonal cocktails but none felt fall inspired. I tried to order a Pomegranate martini and was told they don't have that juice. I tried to order a Mai tai and again was told they don't have the ingredients. I ended up getting a coke and asked the staff for a straw. The employee returned with an unwrapped straw in her bare hand and she placed it in my drink which kind of freaked me out. I felt somehow this was less then hygienic. I went into the bathroom and there is a sheet posted on the door where an employee is supposed to initial every time the bathroom is inspected and the entire sheet was blank. In summary great waiter we had, the restaurant property inside is really nice, food was ok and drinks were not to the standard I felt it should be, especially since they were expensive. I don't get to go out to often so I will be trying other establishments out in the future.

Yelp
Great place with interesting food and friendly, professional staff. The location is a bit tricky getting in as the gps will probably take you past the entrance so remember not to pass on the first entrance option! Yelp
Food and service are good. My issue with this business is how they handled a Birthday party for 14 people. Understandably they had to close for several days due to employee having Covid. However no one from the restaurant called to inform us, but rather we found out from a guest. That left us only 3 hours to try and get accommodations for the group the week before Christmas. I understand how things can fall through the cracks and get lost as that is what they said about our reservation. As a former F&B Director at a few hotels mistakes can and will happen. My issue was the response I received when I called and spoke to a manager. What I received was excuses when I thought an apology was the more appropriate response. Thus we haven't frequented Tabor Road or any of the other 7/8 other restaurants that group runs.

Yelp
Sadly tonight was not our best evening at Tabor Road Tavern... this has long been one of our favorites, even during COVID, we sat outside on the open porch. Tonight was a special occasion, my husband's 55th. Sadly I felt like we were at Applebee's and it wasn't even Fancy Like... everything came out to the table at the same time... the appetizer and salad came out together, the entree, came out shortly after the salad and the server actually tried to move my salad plate to make room for the entree! Not OK in a high end restaurant

Yelp
I am a "local" and have heard lots about this place. Safe to say its reputation preceded it! Everyone at my table got something different, I got the salmon dish, and loved it! Scallops were buttery and cooked to perfection! The lobster was a bit tough but the pasta served alongside was delicious. The service and servers were on point and attentive. (Important to know little accommodations are made to the dishes, with nothing permitted to be added) An overall good vibe! Cozy cabin feel with dim lighting, a fireplace, and large bar. Cheers!

Yelp
I've gone to Tabor Road Tavern a number of times with my family, and have always loved it. Most recently we went for my mother's 80th birthday, and we had the private room in the back. The service was excellent as always, but the food was unfortunately very mediocre. I don't know if they've changed chefs or anything else, but nothing had those distinctive taste that I remembered from prior visits. All in all it was a good experience, but not a great experience.

Yelp
Tabor Road Tavern is my go-to favorite. I love the professionalism of the staff. They are knowledgeable and courteous. The food is delicious and I love the seasonal menus. Great food and they can accommodate my gluten sensitivity. One thing I really appreciate is that there are NO TVs at TRT. The atmosphere is kind of like a lodge, there's a fire place and lots of wood. You can actually talk with your dinner mates and not compete with a lot of extra noise. The bartenders are great, they make an excellent Old Fashioned. Love it.
