The Most Fun Dinner Spots In NYC - New York - The Infatuation
"Looking to party on a Mexican beach, but can’t justify the plane ticket? Head to Tabú, a clubstaurant in Williamsburg instead. The spot with a massive, frondy plant-filled outdoor space is lifted straight out of a Tulum beach club, from the bubbling water feature to the dancers who sway to DJ-spun music throughout the night. But the Mexican food here is way better than you’d expect from somewhere like this. Grab their airy, crunchy fish tacos with a zingy tartar sauce, the chips and guacamole, and several agave-forward cocktails while you party here." - willa moore, sonal shah, bryan kim, will hartman
Wow is what I can say. Bae and I wanted to do a nice dinner I believe 2 nights before we left or the night before we left. And we made a great choice coming here. I tried mahi mahi for the first time. Being right on the beach was top tier romance. Staff was very friendly and quick service.
Also I made the mistake of saying I wanted a soda which in Costa Rica means a seltzer. They were nice to exchange it for me because I meant I wanted Coca Cola. Lesson learned! Food was absolutely delicioso!
Also some people were smoking cigarettes on the premises. The 90s are back!

A spot has amazing food, a wonderful happy hour from 3 to 5 PM 2 for 1 margaritas, Mojitos and sangrias. This restaurant is right on the water, a perfect place to watch the sunset. Recommend making a reservation reservations to get closer to the water. The surf and turf was our favorite, the steak was delicious and the shrimp was perfect!

Got the eggs benny smoked salmon which was absolutely delicious and gallo pinto was pretty good and authentic, could have used a bit more sweet pepper and cilantro!
The chai tea latte, dirty chai and chocolate milk was so goooooood!

Stopped in for a couple beers and Caipirinhas and ended up ordering the Tabu Ceviche too.
Best ceviche I've ever had, I love the sea bass, but also the coconut and mango topped with plantains was an amazing touch that sets it apart form others. A perfect afternoon snack or appetizer!
Jeffery, our waiter was wonderful, very attentive and the service was exceptional.

One of my favorite restaurants on Tamarindo Beach. The drinks and atmosphere were the highlights, and they even had musicians playing upbeat, happy songs, which made the experience even better.

The food was great. The vibe was nice. We came a little early but got the best and nicest service. We left by 1pm. My ribs were tender and marinated to perfection. That was the highlight of all the dishes we tried. Even on the chicken fingers, they were crispy and soft inside.

Nice beachfront restaurant serving okay food. Some of the flavors were a bit weird like the braised short ribs which were overpowered with 5 spice or something similar. Both ceviche and carpaccio needed a little more salt and balancing flavors. Food taste does not meet the high price you pay. The cocktails were excellent 5/5 for sure. Enjoyed the Rosita, which reminded me of a sangria (delicious!) Service was just okay, a little slow but not out of ordinary. Nice views of the beach. Did not need a reservation. Plenty of seating even for larger groups.
Beware you’ll have vendors coming up to you ever 10 minutes trying to sell your shirts and other things, which I’m surprised the restaurant allows them on their private property. You’ll also he harassed by flies and other bugs as to be expected on a beach but they give you one of those fly fans that helps somewhat. Don’t forget your bug spray!
