Chef Jonathan Benno Opens Harta at the Grayson Hotel in Bryant Park | Eater NY

"Planned to open in spring 2023, Tacalle is described as a taco garden and will be one of the Grayson Hotel’s four food-and-drink concepts from Apicii." - Melissa McCart

Cute spot to visit on a nice day! It’s an open air concept eatery with enough space to mingle and dance if you’d like. The music was good and lively. I also really liked the walk up truck to order food and drinks. The food was really good and reasonable priced! The drinks were strong too. Very good for a summer happy hour or catching up with friends. Stop by if you’re in the area!

I was wandering around Midtown looking for a good place to eat and this place caught my eye. The man who took my order was very polite and friendly. I ordered the chicken quesadillas, and they were excellent the chicken was not dry at all and whatever else was in it was just a wonderful taste that really hit the spot. It came with some really good guacamole and salsa everything tasted really fresh. I didn't think the price was that bad for New York. The dining area was very pleasant. I took one star off for atmosphere because I thought the music was just a little too loud. I would definitely recommend this place and return.

The beef tacos were soo good! I love the taco truck outdoor vibes, definitely a cool Mexican spot to grab lunch or a drink with friends after work. I tried the chicken quesadilla, beef tacos and esquites which were good but a little spicier than I expected. I also liked that Tacalle had so many Jarrito flavors to choose from. Would definitely come back!

Been here about 3 times, food and drinks are always good. The salsa may not be the typical salsa you're use to, but other than that everything was good.

Cute taco truck, tucked away in Midtown. Very tasty and ample seating. Quick and easy option if looking for a bite.

Hosted a happy hour business event here recently. Everything was perfect. Tacalle is a great space- an outdoor venue that's unique in midtown Manhattan. It's beautifully, but simply, decorated and was the perfect atmosphere for my event. The food is excellent and the staff was all great. Highly recommend Tacalle for a business event, but have also had their tacos for lunch, and it's a great lunch space as well.

Do not go here for tacos. They aren’t good and they can’t follow basic directions such as “no onions”. Cool location but the food is very greasy and truly bad.

Google
I am going to reiterate what others have said. The food itself tastes delicious and the atmosphere is really charming. Feels like a tucked away gem in the heart of midtown. That said, I am totally fine with the smaller portioned tacos, but 2 for 12 feels steep at that size. If they offered individuals for 6 and then let you get 2 for 10 or 3 for 14, I would call it a real value. As it stands, its just out of alignment with my price expectations. Carnitas and Brisket barbacoa were both really yummy.

Yelp
As of April 21, there are three tacos per serving (I see some below complaining about two). My finance and I thought the tacos were delicious and service was friendly. For the price (it's Midtown New York) it was great value. We went on a gray day around 6PM and were the only ones there - it took a perfectly reasonable amount of time for us to get our food. Even though we primarily went because we were staying at the hotel, we would definitely recommend and go back!

Yelp
Brand new outdoor Mexican restaurant serving out from a truck. They didn't have a lot of items which were listed on the menu. They also didn't allow you to pick different tacos, for the 3 tacos, all had to be the same. Maybe wait a few weeks before going while they work out the kinks.

Yelp
The reason why I am giving this place 3 stars is because it's closest to 3.5 stars. The ambiance/ vibe of the space and the music were great. However, I didn't enjoy the wait. They need to plan out who is preparing the food and who will be collecting the orders. Or hire more employees people during the lunchtime crowd because the wait to order was ridiculous. Anyway, I ordered the elote and three tacos for $12. I asked if I could mix and match the protein, and I was told you can't. I also asked if I could get the shrimp and was told that it was still on ice. OK, that's like two strikes or technically three with the long ass wait for no apparent reason, but they are low staffed or aren't competent enough to deal with the lunch crowd. My coworker who came along ordered elote and the churros. Churros was a bit too hard for our liking and had a weird aftertaste. The elote had a bit of a kick to it, so if you're not into spice, you should skip it. Overall, I wasn't pleased with the food, but if you're trying to find a spot to chill with a group of ppl for drinks or whatnot, this is the spot.

Yelp
This place has a great atmosphere with the outdoor dining in the courtyard. I ordered the Chicken Tinga quesadilla. The quesadilla had a great flavor, but regardless of what you order the portion sizes are small for what you pay for. We all left hungry.

Yelp
Awesome outdoor space with a taco truck in a cool open space that you won't find anywhere else in midtown. Had the chicken tinga tacos. The order comes with 3 tacos for $13, a good price for midtown. Also hosted a business happy hour event here, and the space is perfect for that- everybody was talking about how nice it was to be outside on a nice evening and not in a crowded and noisy bar.

Yelp
Checked out their grand opening party. First impression was good. Open courtyard with a lot of seats available, orders coming from the food truck, good music, good service. Small menu yesterday, $5 margaritas all day. I wanted to like the place more but the margarita gave me a headache and the tacos (2 for $12) were very small (2 bites only), with barely any toppings and meat (beef barbacoa was tasty at least). I know they gave free tacos to the first 100 people earlier in the day but that was over; paid for our order but seemed like they were giving that portion size.

Yelp
I was visiting from Texas and needed a taste of home. These carnitas tacos hit the spot! The meat was great quality and had perfect flavor. Even though they were "street tacos" they were loaded up with meat and were very filling. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were great too. Service was also fast and friendly. The patio was nice and shaded. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Delicious food, even better drinks, and a gorgeous patio (didn't know you could find it in midtown!). Servers were so lovely, and food was out pretty fast even when busy. Only note is menus should have more detail - what tacos come w what etc. Beef tacos were spicier than expected.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Got 6 tacos mixed so flavorful and tasty to wash it down a Jarritos The service 10/10 the chef with the golden hands. To finish off this amazing meal the churros with the chocolate sauce felt like Christmas, birthday and Halloween all in one bite. Pure heaven. Don't walk run to try this unforgettable experience. Wish I ran.

Yelp
The staff were very kind, and the food was excellent- we especially loved the barbacoa tacos. The restaurant had such a great atmosphere with strong SoCal vibes. Previous reviewers have stated that they didn't get enough food for their money, but it seems they have changed it to three tacos for $12, which was plenty for us. The elotes and chips and guac were also great!

Yelp
Not my favorite place. The tacos tasted great and the food came out rather quickly, but it didn't seem like the best deal to me. The tacos were 2 for $12, and the tacos were small enough that they were finished after 2 bites. While they tasted great, they also didn't come with many fillings, which isn't worth it for a $6 taco. Combined with a mexican soda it costs around $17. There wasn't many decorations either, so it isn't really a place I'd consider going back to.
