"The Raleigh location of this small, D.C.-based taco chain features chef Victor Albisu’s unique take on tacos. There’s the Small Biggie smash burger taco, the Wolfpack poutine taco, and the Sweet Baby Jesus taco, which comes with Cheerwine barbecue bacon carnitas, chipotle mustard, spicy slaw, tomatillo chow chow, pickled fresno chilies, and chicharrones. There’s a tacos tradicionales menu available for the less adventurous as well." - Matt Lardie

"Though Taco Bamba is a newcomer to Raleigh, it’s nailed the vibe of being a place to go with kids for a drink. The restaurant is armed with a flotilla of highchairs and has a covered back patio, but if you’d prefer to have free-range kids, there’s also a back lawn. Sample the mezcal flight or drink a Pink Pantera, a take on a paloma, while your kids devour fresh chips. One quesadilla is enough to feed two kids (or one kid and a parent who wants a nibble) or try one of their specialty tacos personalized for the Raleigh location. The Cheerwine-marinated carnitas in the Sweet Baby Jesus taco or the cheesy grits in the aptly named Kiss my Grits taco are fun and flavorful nods to the area." - Elliott Harrell

Super solid spot for different but authentic tacos. Huge variety on the menu in not only options but styles of meat. Every thing was delicious and FRESH. Looking forward to returning soon to try the tacos we didn’t order. Such a hard time deciding which ones we wanted! We each ordered 2 tacos and split a quesadilla three ways. The salsa were all very different and flavorful. THE BEST tomatillo salsa I’ve ever had. If you haven’t stopped by here yet, it’s a must try!

Have always wanted to try this place out and finally did this past weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! I love the long creative menu of plenty of items to choose from. I had the Barbacoa and Pastor Tacos that were full of flavour! I then went ahead and decided to treat myself with the Woodfire Pineapple Cocktail that was absolutely fabulous! The bartender, chefs, and cashier were super friendly. This place is an absolute must try. 10/10 food! Will be going back! PS: So good I went back the next day for take-out that was just as delicious!

My first time at Taco Bamaba was pretty decent. I loved the atmosphere and the option to dine on the patio deck which was fitting for the weather on the day I visited. I ordered three tacos; camaron, tenga (dirty style), and the small biggie smashburger. We also go the feet fleet torta and queso dip and chips to share. Although they have a great variety of food options, if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies this may not be the place for you. When trying to make substitutes for a menu item I was told it could not be done. According to the staff, the chef is strict about his recipes and the staff preps all the food ahead of time which eliminates the need to ask for some substitutions. Overall the ingredients were fresh and there were some unique flavor combinations. The chicken tinga was very flavorful, but the burger and shrimp protein on the other tacos disappeared into the taco as if they were not there. The feet fleet was very filling, refreshing, and vegetarian friendly. It is definitely worth coming back for another visit to try the other menu items or to try a few cocktails from the bar.

If you know and love real Mexican food then this is NOT the place for you. 🫤 Although I knew I was coming to a franchise, I had hope because the menu looks really cool. Unfortunately, the food does not match up. The yellow rice is NOT Mexican rice, the pinto beans are tasteless. The mushroom taco is too spicy. The grilled guacamole is just regular guac and not flavorful, other than salt. The chips are cold, but okay. At the pickup counter I let the to-go server know that the floor in front of the counter was greasy/slippery, but she just shrugged, although I repeated it twice and showed her my feet slipping. Take your wallet to the nearest taco truck instead for authentic Mexican food! So, disappointed 😞

Google
We drove an hour away to try something “different” we did think it was gonna more traditional food. 3 of us tried the street corn we strongly do not recommend it. Its a little more tangy then normal. We got the and loved the queen bee taco (your gonna want 2 of them) We got the lamb birria tacos and it was good but the consama had no flavor so we perfer the taco truck in Raleigh. The choriqueso and I thought it was salty. My boyfriend liked it but wish it had more pico and quac. Overall it’s not a bad place if you don’t know traditional food.

Been dying to get here and they did not disappoint! I will say a tad pricey but I don’t even care much because I will be back! Delicious options and the breakfast all day is a brilliant addition!

Google
Great outdoor seating. My only dislike was the location of the menu, which hangs above tables where people are sitting (to the left of the counter). I felt like I was in the way of staff and people getting drinks/salsa while deciding what to order. Went with friends and shared chips and queso, Bamba fries, churros, tacos. Everything was delicious. Will be back.

Google
I love this franchise in every city. Best steak, lamb and chicken tacos and the bar drinks are great. Only one item needs work and that’s the queso sauce. The guacamole is good 👍🏾. This isn’t Taco Bell so don’t expect bargain prices. The meat quality justifies the cost. You can take a date here and enjoy a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Yelp
So I just started a new job in town and it happens to be 2 minutes away from Taco Bamba. My boss took me there on my first day and wow! From the outdoor seating, to the salsa bar, to the creativity in tacos, it was such a cool experience. I had to get a carne asada taco, one of them had to be simple. It had steak, cilantro, and onion on a corn tortilla, nothing fancy needed. I was so impressed with the steak, the meat wasn't too small or too stringy. You could see it was actually cooked medium rare, not just to the point of being done. The Queen Bee with the spicy fried chicken, house slaw, hot honey, pickled onions, etc was an awesome blend of flavors. And I loved the Sweet Baby Jesus with Cheerwine bacon carnitas, pickled fresnos, crispy onions, crispy pork skins, etc etc. I don't know how they came up with these combinations, and yes, it's a lot of ingredients, but they are amazing tacos that you can't find at just any taqueria. The chips were fine too, just a little salt, thin cut and hot. They also have a small, but nice bar, I just hope they have Casamigo Reposado. I'll definitely be coming back, I want to try more!

Yelp
This place must have a cult following because it was hopping at 6pm on a Thursday. While I got my order to go, it looked like there is a good amount of outdoor seating. I wanted to place a to go order with the bartender and he was backed up so it took at least 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. Once I got a menu it was another 5 before I could give him my order....and then 5-8 minutes for them to bring me my order. Well, I got home to find they'd given me a beef torta instead of chicken. I still ate it and it was good, just not what I was expecting or had ordered. I'd give them another try on a quieter night and I want to try some of their drinks because they look delicious.

Yelp
I had a very positive impression of Taco Bamba after eating at the Herndon, VA location last year while traveling for business, so I was excited to try the location in Raleigh. Unfortunately, my experience at the Raleigh location was a disappointment. I tried three tacos: barbacoa, birria, and spicy mushroom. While the fillings for all three tacos had been clearly sitting around for a while and served up as orders came in, the barbacoa and the birria suffered the most from this treatment and ended up dry and rather flavorless, despite being served soaked in juices. The serving size was very generous so when combined with the overly juicy servings the ungrilled corn tortillas basically disintegrated, so I ended up having to eat much of the tacos with a fork. The spicy mushroom taco, which I'd previously tried in Herndon, fared better. Although definitely not cooked to order, it was spicy with the pepitas giving it a bit more texture. The serving side was also not so over the top, so the tortillas didn't disintegrate which which let me eat it like a taco. My dining companion tried the sope and found it dry, doughy and not very flavorful. The $4.50 side of rice and beans was mostly rice with the refried beans being very dense and heavy, but with little flavor. Other than the new, modern location on Wade Avenue and the pleasant staff obviously trying to please, I was thoroughly unimpressed with this Taco Bamba. The taco truck just down the road serves a better product at a substantially lower price.

Yelp
The atmosphere is clean and well-executed. We found the outdoor music too loud, especially for the residential neighbors just over the fence, I imagine - and an odd mix: some great summery music like The Police and ELO but salted with a jolting head-banging selection of Disturbed and obscure AC/DC worthy of a mosh pit. It was hard to ignore, along with the staff SHOUTING everyone's order number every five minutes - would be nice if they could just get some number tents. The calamari was tiny, chewy, and too salty; mainland Spaniards would not approve. The relish topping it, however, was inventive and somewhat saved it. The first bag of chips we were given were stale and we had to ask for a replacement. The tacos are small but filling. We tried the catfish, which we were assured was not cornmeal but flour battered - they were mistaken. The mushroom taco was overly spicy barbecue that my spouse had trouble finishing. We did see someone enjoying a delicious looking cob of elote, and wished we'd ordered it. The salsas are the stars, and were all quite good and fresh. Loved the little outdoor bar scene. It was over $40 for two people for lunch, which we felt was a bit steep. We appreciate the investment in Ridgewood, and it looked like people were enjoying their meals. We're probably more inclined to go to Cantina 18, but it was nice to try this out.

Yelp
Cool place. Tasty eats. My favorites are the Baja fish taco and the lengua taco. I heard from a rude and condescending customer to the employee that the quesabirria was "surprisingly good. I'm actually surprised." Man he was a blow hard. Anyway, I'm a fan! Love the salsas too. The food can be on the salty side for some of the items but overall good. There's a bar too with interesting drinks and they almost always have sports playing on the tv behind the bar. There's outdoor seating as well. Free coffee is available all day too with any purchase.

Brittany W.

Yelp
A to-be-expected taco shop. They try to add a little razzle-dazzle by allowing you to jack up your tacos, which just means adding cheese and sauce. Good for a lunch run. The Mexican corn was not very good. I did enjoy their patio seating.

Thomas D.

Yelp
I was amazed by Taco Bamba. The menu is kind of large and it can be a lot to take in. An employee noticed us though and walked us through some of his favorite items. He even gave us a sample of some carnitas. It was so good that I knew I had to order a taco with that on it. Both of my tacos were excellent. The Queen Bee was bursting with flavor and the Carnitas on my second taco was also excellent. The food tasted like it was made with only high quality, fresh ingredients and the combinations of flavors that I had were unlike other taco places I've tried. The interior also has a charm to its fast casual vibe. It is one of the cleaner restaurants I've been in and there is even a full bar. I can't wait to go back here and try more menu items!

Yelp
Looking for an upbeat after work spot. Or, perhaps you're headed downtown and need a place to meet up and share a quick bit? Enter Taco Bamba. While Taco Bamba isn't limited to just those occasions, I think it fits the bill perfectly. The menu can be a little overwhelming (we like options, so not a problem), but if you're indecisive, like me, it may behoove you to figure out what you'd like to order before you get there. While they do have a few paper menus, expect to view the menu located on the wall. The bartender noticed we were in struggle land and provided a couple of the paper menus. While we stuck to more of the safe Americanized options, this is a chain restaurant so don't expect super authentic tacos. Do expect a good product in a lively space with some good outdoor seating. Salsas we're solid. I liked the verde salsa the best to pair with the empanadas, queen bee taco, and nachos. I would probably prefer a different salsa to pair with something else. Definitely looking forward to trying other options in the future. Also, this place can get crowded, so if that matters to you keep that in mind. Fast Casual Mexican: 4.4

Yelp
Best Birria i have had. It was the traditional way with slow roasted lamb. Much better and different taste. I honesty wanted one of everything on the menu. We also got some warm churros that was the perfect dessert after. It all looked amazing and if what we had is any indication of how good it is we will be back! We stopped in after Amy friend had eye surgery. We sat at the bar and had a couple drinks while we waited. I had a Moscow Mule and friend had . They were so good. The bartender was nice and friendly. We came in before the rush so it was quiet and not crowded at all.

Yelp
We loved this place for lunch today! The menu had so many options it was hard to decide. My friend enjoyed his choriqueso torta, but found it a bit messy. He loves spice and said the spice level was decent after adding sauces from the sauce bar. I chose a specialty taco--Kiss My Grits! That's right! Shrimp and grits in a corn tortilla! I'm usually more of a taco traditionalist, but this really worked for me. The shrimp and grits were so good I could have eaten them out of a bowl. My other taco, pollo al carbon, had perfectly-grilled chicken with cilantro and onions. The traditionalist in me loved it. There is plenty of parking, the restaurant was clean and bright, and service was fast and friendly. James, the GM, came by our table and told us he had hired the most outgoing people he could find. They've only been open a week, but you couldn't tell. Everyone did a great job!

Yelp
This spot recently opened and we've already been here twice. Convenient location on our way out of Raleigh, casual, lots of parking and honestly good for groups. There's always a bunch of kids everywhere. Great covered patio! Easy ordering at the counter and then they bring out your drinks to your table and yell your order number for you to go get your food. We've pretty much liked all the tacos we've tried so far - our favorites are the Al Paca and the seared tuna one that comes in lettuce. The "new" style tacos seem to be waaaay bigger than the traditional style ones. Guac is okay, but margs are great!

Yelp
Taco Bamba is Raleighs newest Mexican restaurant located off of Wade Avenue. I got a chance to go there for a five course Mezcal paired dinner. Here's what we got to try: First Course: Bamba Ceviche and Potato Esquites Salad Paired with: Pink Pantera Second Course: B.E.C Empanada and American Dream Empanada Paired with: Pink Pantera Third Course: Jeneral and Cape Fear Catish Tacos Paired with: Espadin Mezcal with Orange and Sal de Gusano Fourth Course: Taserface and Spicy Shroom Tacos Paired with: Woodfire Pineapple Margarita Fifth Course: Churros and Rubias Paired with: Vago Elote Mezcal Everything was delicious. I specially loved the Mezcal cocktails. Each of them was so unique and packed different flavors.

Yelp
I swung by for a late lunch and really enjoyed my experience. Ordering in the line is easy and they will bring your food out to you! Staff were friendly and upbeat. There's ample seating especially outdoors. The menu is massive and offers so much more than just tacos. They are a franchise but the new Raleigh location offers a few Raleigh only menu items which is a fun touch. I tried the Cape Fear Catfish and Al Pastor tacos and my husband had the torta bamba, which is possibly the largest sandwich I've ever seen. We also shared some chips and queso. I thought the queso was delicious, it was just mildly spicy. Catfish taco was so juicy, definitely has some kick, and really tasty. The al pastor has actual pineapples in it and is less juicy so it benefits greatly from one of the salsas on top. I preferred the al pastor but that's just personal preference. My husbands torta was so massive he joked that it was enough for 4 servings! It was packed with multiple meats and more. I just had a few bites of it but thought it was pretty yummy. Unfortunately I don't live near this location but if they were closer to Apex I'd probably be here all the time!

Yelp
This place is located in the same shopping plaza as Walgreens and Whole Foods. From the exterior, I had the expectation that it would be a table service restaurant but it is a counter service. There are plenty of seating options, but I can foresee the area feeling tight during peak hours. The outside patio is really nice when there's a breeze. The menu is really extensive. I thought it was a bit too much, but in my party of 3 people who all ordered different menu items enjoyed their food. I had the Cubana Tortas ($14) and it was tasty and flavorful. I wouldn't describe their menu as authentic, but fun and flavorful. Their salsa bar had a great variety of heat level and flavor.

Gil T.

Yelp
I visited Taco Bamba during their soft opening and was absolutely blown away by the awesome menu, prompt service, and crave-worthy flavors. The space is brand new and pristine, with nice inside and outside options. High-end casual spot where you order up at the counter then they bring your food to you. Didn't get to try a drink from the bar, but the drinks look well-crafted and fun. The menu has so many enticing options, it'll take me several trips before I get the lay of the land, but I fully intend on coming back many more times to try everything out. $5 for a signature taco might seem steep on the menu, but when it arrives, you'll see it's completely justified; they are huge, inspired and chock-full of awesome homemade ingredients. Some are super funky, others are a little more standard, but they absolutely hit the spot. I tried the Taco Bamba, the Queen Bee, and the lamb birria mulitas. I'd recommend each, especially the mulitas if you're down to send it. The chips and guacamole were great, the elote was a little messy but super tasty, and the churros were a perfect way to end the meal. I'm already planning on coming back soon to try a torta and maybe some other tacos. The team seemed passionate and eager to deliver an elevated experience, and I'm super happy to have Taco Bamba in Raleigh.

Yelp
WINNER WINNER TACO DINNER!! ok don't judge me but this place is a winner! They have an extensive menu so try to look in advance! We tried the Al pastor-- full of flavor, queen bee delicious but spicy, chicken tinga quesadilla my two year old devoured! Rice and beans are flavorful as well! Adult beverages are good but not the reason to come here!! You come for the food!! I'll be back to try more!

Stephanie J.

Yelp
My husband and I dined in here for dinner and had a good experience. I started off with a beer then had a margarita. For food it was the queso and chips, mexican street corn and tacos to split. We chose a taco bamba, al paca, pescado and queen bee. The food and margarita were both really good.

Yelp
"Great tacos/ tortas near NCSU" Came here on a rainy Friday evening right around 5:30pm. I was worried it'd be packed, but there was a table free, and the line wasn't too long. The restaurant is very casual-- a bar at one end and a counter for ordering at another. They have a pretty extensive menu, so worth glancing at it before going. My son and I ordered torta tradicionals (I had barbacoa, he had some kind of lamb), and my wife got tacos (spicy shroom and one other). Note: you do NOT get chips with your order, so if you want them, order them separately. We did so in part to try out the salsa bar on the side. The tortas were very good. The avocado and jalapenos in them were just right, too. My son was happy with his as well. My wife's spicy shroom was much spicier than she had planned, so she wasn't crazy about it. I had a bite, and it was indeed spicy-- I didn't love the flavor either. But I was still very happy with my dish. The salsas didn't quite match the labeling. The verde was fine. The chile arbol labeled as "HOT" was not really that hot at all-- I was surprised at that label, especially given how truly spicy the shroom taco was. And one of the others (I forget which) tasted almost like barbecue sauce. What impressed me the most, though, was the good customer service. This comes off as almost a fast-food sort of place, in that you order at a counter and sit at a table, so I didn't expect any attention after receiving my food. But instead, folks working there checked on us multiple times, asked if we liked the food or needed anything, etc. Pricing was fair-- I'd not go so far as to call it "cheap", but it's fair for the quality and quantity of food one is receiving. Similar price to, say, Gym Tacos nearby. Overall, I'd go back -- it was good. Give it a try if you're in the area!

Kristal R.

Yelp
The food was delicious!! The Mexican Street Corn was one of the best I've had! The fries are a must! The Taco Bamba was my fav but barbacoa was also delicious! You don't really expect a lot of service at a counter type place but that's not the case here! It was crowded when we came in so I grabbed a table as soon as one opened and a sweet lady came and cleaned the table fully to make sure it was clean for us when we got our food and she also cleared our plates for us! Such a great experience!

Ciera R.

Yelp
Listen, close every other Mexican restaurant but this one and La Victoria. When I say service, food, owners, everything is IMPECCABLE...boyyy do I mean it. I had the wonderful opportunity to come and try the tasting menu and really get a sit down talk and dining experience with the Taco Bamba team. I got to try Bamba ceviche, potato esquites salad for course 1, bec empanada and American dream empanada for course 2 , clean style (cabbage instead of tortilla) jeneral and cape fear cat fish for course 3, taserface and spicy shroom taco for course 4, and finally churros and rubias for course 5. Needless to say I was in a food coma at the end of this meal. Like leaving thanksgiving dinner waddle. I ate and loved EVERYTHING. In course one the experience started strong with of the freshest ceviche I have ever tasted. I mean every flavor complimented the others so well. Now I am not a fan of potato salad, I feel it's always too warm or too cold or too mayo-ey lol. This was a smoky perfectly cooked potato salad that out ranks anything I have tried before. I need a catering order for get togethers moving forward. The potatoes were perfectly cooked without overly mushy or undercooked which is a science. This was paired with Pink Patera drink which I literally drank as a flavored seltzer it was so smooth. For second course I had empanadas. The American dream was my favorite with the juicy pork that had tons of flavor. I also liked the bec one but not a big bacon fan. The flaky buttery crust aids as a perfectly supportive flavor pocket that truly is like a flavor party in your mouth. Before the next course we had our first mezcal shot that was so smooth and my favorite drink of the night. The tuna and catfish clean style was probably my favorite of entire experience. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and had no salt overload that I am used to having. The breading wasn't overwhelming and so perfectly complimented the catfish that it truly was mouth watering. The jeneral had some sushi grade tuna that was beautifully flavorful. At this point I was stuffed and still in awe at every bite. The last course before dessert was a brisket and a mushroom taco. That again were just amazing. I loved the churros with the dulce de lece because there was a slight vanilla flavor as well that was just pure and fresh. The fiery pineapple margarita was so refreshing and truly delicious with distinctions of fresh ingredients. Everything was very clean and I truly have no complaints. I cannot wait to come again.

Yelp
Best tacos on the east coast. We frequented their northern Virginia locations because they were so tasty and this new Raleigh installment is no exception. The carne asada "dirty" style taco is my current favorite and the beans & rice is a crowd pleaser with young kids. For this location, when you come in the front doors, you have to turn left past the pickup area to get to the cashier/order area. Top notch tacos!

Shawn R.

Yelp
Good eats at a reasonable price. Had 2 tacos and an order of black beans and rice. Tacos were really good as was the black bean and rice. They have a small salsa bar with decent options. Menu is huge with lots of options. They have a nice bar with a nice patio setup. Didn't sit outside because it was cold but the patio looks like it would be perfect in a month or two for a few drinks and dinner.

Shanna M.

Yelp
Out-of-towners who found this fantastic restaurant when looking for a quick bite before a concert at PNC. I absolutely cannot say enough great things about the food, service and hospitality. Fun menu and we were lucky to have had a bespoke NA mixed drink made especially for us. Very creative menus with a wonderful vibe. I'll go back every visit to Raleigh.

Jessica K.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now, and it is one of my favorite places for tacos. I love the al pastor taco. This time I also tried the birria taco, which was good. It's nice how all the meats are priced the same for the traditional tacos, and they put plenty of meat in them. I like the chips and queso, but the amount you get for the price is so small compared to other taco places in Raleigh. The queso does have a good flavor and some spiciness. I just wish you got more. The staff are super nice and even had us try some of the pork before ordering. If you're looking for a new taco spot to try don't miss out on this place!

Leila B.

Yelp
I loved this place! This was actually my second time this week and I ordered the same quesadilla because it was SO good. Definitely recommend the chicken tinga over other protein options because it is so juicy and flavorful. The mix of cheeses in the quesadilla set it apart from others and it was one of the best I've had in Raleigh. I wanted to try something new so I got the barbacoa taco dirty style - the meat itself was delicious as well as all of the other toppings however I felt that the sweet chili sauce disrupted the other more savory flavors in the taco and I wish I had gone without it. Churros were straightforward - came very warm, with caramel to dip, delicious but very sweet, I could not finish them. The salsas were great and I really enjoyed that they were self serve as well as the queso. Overall, my food came very quick and piping hot. Service was good and the manager even stopped by all the tables to ask how we were enjoying our meals. Can't wait to try something new next time!

Rashad I.

Yelp
I'm honestly lost for words, Chef Victor Albisu knew what he was doing when he dropped this on Wade Ave. This is a new establishment but man the service was on point. Loved the interior, setup and music choice. Last but never least this food is TOP NOTCH!! Unsure of safe place to get a bite to eat and good drinks. Stop by Taco Bamba, hoping I can get a few more nicer days in my home state to have a seat on the patio with some good food and drinks. Thank You Taco Bamba Staff !!

Linda W.

Yelp
Taco Bamba created Taco El Veganos for the Raleigh Vegan Chef's Challenge this month. The mushroom-walnut chorizo is meaty and spicy. The other toppings make each mouthful a treat: creamy, crunchy, spicy, and fresh. The cashier told me they also have a mushroom taco year round that is vegan if you ask them to leave off the cheese. I hope the el Vegano makes it to their permanent menu. The service was very good, the interior pleasant, and there is patio seating for warmer weather.

Susana G.

Yelp
Great variety of tacos. Drinks are good too. Nice atmosphere to grab some tacos and a margarita with friends.

Scott F.

Yelp
Tacos full of flavor and service was great. Prefer to sit at indoor/outdoor bar where you can get full service.

ShaYvonta B.

Yelp
Discovering this gem of a taco joint was a flavor-filled adventure! I savored the unique trio of catfish, Peruvian, and spicy mushroom tacos--each bite a delightful surprise! The menu is a mix of inventive specials and classic favorites like meat, onion, and cilantro tacos. Ordering is quick, though there might be a line during peak hours. Just grab your number and pick up your order. Plus, the friendly bartenders serve up cocktails with a smile, adding to the charm of this cozy spot!

Breyana D.

Yelp
I am on a mission to find the best tacos in the triangle and this place is a top contender!! I've been 3 times thus far and the food is consistent in quality and taste. They have a pretty diverse menu from tacos to sopes so there's something for everyone. Everything is self service unless you sit at the bar. There's also indoor and outdoor seating. The music is very loud so be prepared. It's not as loud outside so my preference is always to be on the patio. Each visit I've tried the traditional tacos--corn tortilla, onions, cilantro. This is my preference for tacos but they also have Tex mex options. The flavor on the traditional tacos is there!! I love that the tacos are simply dressed and packed with so much flavor. The fish taco is my favorite. There's a complimentary salsa bar available as well varying with options at different spice levels. The service is always quick and the staff are great about checking on guests too. I'm looking forward to trying some more menu items including some of their drinks!

Trisha L.

Yelp
The drinks and the food here are AMAZINGLY!! I also really like their salsa bar. The barstools and the chairs at the table are AWFUL! I mean unbearably awful! When I come here I opt to get a spot at the bar and STAND. I would come way more often if the barstools were not so unbelievably unbearable. I took a star off simply for the terrible seating options.

Yelp
Stopped by Taco Bamba to check it out during its soft open. We came on Friday night so it was lit. The space has seating indoors with a bar, an outdoor patio, as well as a lower level with picnic tables and astroturf lawn. They have an extensive menu with queso, chips, dips, apps, tortas, tacos, quesadillas, etc. There is also a selection of free salsa, although you need to purchase chips. We got the taco bamba, el gringo, cape fear catfish tacos, as well as queso, plus churros. The tacos were well balanced with great flavors and toppings. I also loved the churros, which came with dulce de leche. I definitely want to come back to try the breakfast tacos too. The restaurant has counter service, which is great for a casual meal, but if it's busy I can see it being chaotic. When your order is ready, they call out your number. If you're planning to sit below at the picnic tables, I would recommend waiting on the upper level for your food, because you otherwise might miss your order. I'd also note that the only way to access the lower level is to exit the restaurant and walk all the way around. So make sure to plan ahead to avoid multiple trips back and forth.

Yelp
The new heavy weight taco champion in Raleigh! I was a big fan in northern Virginia and I'm over the moon that they have a foot hold in this market. Now...build the next one in Durham!

Yelp
Best tacos in town. Also great ceviche! Excellent service. Docking one star for loud music. We never sit inside because of the decibels

Yelp
Okayyyyyy Taco Bamba! I see you!!! I ordered the Al Pastor, Grilled Chicken, and Carne Asada tacos and WOAH! Even the tortillas were - I thought they were made here The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pretty cool. Great music! Saving this to my list of fav places!

Yelp
I don't often write reviews so that should say something. This place was amazing. Friendly staff and quick service. I got a breakfast taco which was delicious and I will be back.

Yelp
Great food! Sit at the bar and enjoy a draft beer with your meal. Service is good as well.

Yelp
I ordered a carne asada taco on door dash and it was good taste but there was barely any meat, and no toppings. There were no chips with my guacamole. I'm very disappointed and now I have barely any lunch bc y'all messed up my food.

Yelp
Tacos are good with lots of filling and toppings. Quesadilla with beef brisket was good. Service was friendly and fast. I got a hello with a smile and a goodbye with another big smile. The restaurant is clean and has good music.

Yelp
Queen Bee tacos ... not much else to say. Sorta like what I think Torchy's is trying to go for, except I think Taco Bamba got it right. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The team at this place is great. The food is fantastic, and the vibe is very positive. Everyone is super focused on customer service, from the bartenders to the people who walk around the restaurant to clear your table.

Yelp
Love this place! Here for the 2nd time. My brother in DC recommended. He has been to many of their locations up there! Food is fantastic and reasonably priced! Staff is super friendly! Sauces are !

Yelp
We went in and had no idea what to order, everything sounded so good, the manager or maybe the owner came out and gave us some recommendations and we went with it, and it did not disappoint. It was warm enough to sit outside which was great. We will be back soon for sure

Yelp
Interesting space with nice outdoor seating in the back, but we had the grilled chicken nachos, a taco, and a quesadilla which were not good. The nachos and taco were over the top with spices- I don't just mean on the spicy side (not a big deal for me), but also far too salty and too much seasoning. The nachos had big chunks of over-seasoned chicken thrown on top and were piled in a paper container, so toppings fell out onto the table when we picked them up. It was a waste of $30 (we came home and ate food we had here) and I'd go to nearby Gym Tacos or Chubby's instead in the future.

Yelp
Chips are a hit or miss if they are stale but otherwise, the flavors are excellent! The brisket quesadilla and the taserface taco are amazing!

Yelp
We ordered six different tacos and chips + queso... 10/10 will not go back. The tacos were either fancy Taco Bell or so spicy we couldn't taste anything. The queso was velveeta. See ya never, Taco Bamba.

Yelp
I don't even remember going to this place. I don't remember anything about it. That may say a lot In and of itself

Yelp
Really good and quite creative with the menu - me encanta!. Just pretty loud inside. Everybody was extremely friendly who worked there, and it was very fun!
