Will the Lil Nas X and Taco Bell Collaboration Mean a New Menu? | Eater

"Anointment of Lil Nas X as an honorary Chief Impact Officer ties the chain back to his earlier job at an Atlanta-area location; he will work with the chain's foundation to support young creatives and help craft an undefined “exclusive experience” along with some special menu updates. Fans have already urged a return of menu favorites such as the Grilled Stuft Nacho, Nachos Supreme, and Mexican Pizza, and some have used the announcement to press for issues like living wages for staff. While the role appears largely ceremonial and the exact responsibilities are unclear, there is optimism—and pressure—that he’ll be granted creative freedom and allowed to retain the bold, proudly queer persona that helped catapult him to stardom rather than having that identity watered down by corporate constraints." - Elazar Sontag

Store needs to have a delivery window after restaurant close and also need to do better when it come to the people hired

Google
Do not buy from this Taco Bell. Waited in line for 45 minutes…there were 5 vehicles in front of me. That’s almost 10 minutes per customer - nothing fast about this “fast food.” Clearly who ever owns this franchise doesn’t care about their customers. Current theme for reviews…service is slow. The span of time with reviews saying the same thing is too long to ignore management and owner’s responsibility. Likely owned by JAI Restaurant Group or Southpaw.

Google
Wasted an entire hour of my day for a mobile order (was told it would be ready before I could even reach there) in which I went inside to pick up. Waited inside for 50 minutes on my order, and the last 10 minutes of that they focused on delivery and pick up orders. The other 40 they only did drive thru. By the end, when I finally snapped at the workers as I was patient for 45 minutes, they then proceeded to tell me they are out of the stuff I ordered. I left there without saying another word nor my food. As I am walking out the door, I get a notification on my app saying my order is ready for pickup

Google
10/4/2024. I'll start by saying, "I love Taco Bell.. I really do. But after today, I think this experience sealed the deal for me. I went over to try the new Omar apollo box. (It was around 9:45-10 ). When i went in, I saw 2 men standing in line, a bunch of workers standing around, and no one at the register to take orders. I announced myself after standing at the register for about 2 minutes, and the lady looked at me like I was crazy and pointed at the kiost behind me. Mind you, there were about 6 employees, with 3 people in the drive thru and 2 in line. I ended up taking the kiosk because I didn't feel like arguing for a basic necessity. I ordered the box and requested NO LETTUCE add potatoes. After paying 16.32, I waited 10 minutes on my order. The workers were moving very slowly, and there wasn't much of a team effort.. just 1 person on each side while everyone else stood around. Whike I was waiting, customers were walking into the restaurant and the lady who pointed to the kiosk would say in an ignorant voice, "The inside is closed!" Instead of just walking over and locking the door from the inside like any other restaurant. There was also a guy going in and out of the building from the kitchen.. He came back looking faded asf, so with how easily he was able to just walk out without asking and smoke a blunt on company time, I knew what this was instantly.. Once I receive my order.. I checked the bag, and of course- there was lettuce on every taco, but they did get the potatoes correct. I called over the lady who pointed at the kiosk and informed her of the issue. She gave me a long stare of "Are you kidding me?" Like I was in the wrong. She takes the order back, and after another 5 minutes of waiting, I get the box again. This time, I check the tacos, and there's just potato and cheese. In this box, you get 2 hard tacos and 1 hard with a soft shell tortilla around it. All of them INCLUDE MEAT. Never did I say to them "Take off the protein" in words or on my receipt. After I gave the box back for a second time. They checked the box more thoroughly and found 1!- taco with meat. After that, they called me over and were taunting about it. Saying "ahh haa, we did get it right" following up with "But we messed up the other 2 though." At that point, I lost all hope in the meal i paid for. I knew it was going to be "eh" and cold and made with pure hate. So I will not be returning to this tacobell or any tacobell. Oh, and the lobby was filthy!! All the workers standing around and no one evening touching the lobby? While saying the lobby is closed. You could at least start cleaning and putting chairs up to give that impression. Sorry taco bell but you need to improve.

Google
This Taco Bell needs to be closed down. I ordered a Discovery Box, and I received a chicken wrap that had chicken inside that was so hard I could've broken my teeth. The tacos had a smell to it that had me too scared to eat it. The cashier called out the wrong order several times, and when I corrected her, she still continued to give me other customers' orders. My time and money wasted!!😤😡

Google
This place has very bad customer service service , they literally pack all the door dash orders first then the lady working the window slammed the window in our face and the store manager had to send her off

Vikram Ganti

Google
I stopped by to pick up my order which was ready earlier. The girl working the drive-thru counter came up and asked for my name, then walked away and did nothing with that information. A manager type looking man asked another woman to come help me and she grabbed my waiting order from a completely different spot. Also, I had ordered coffee for my drink. This is not the first time that I have shown up and that's when I find out there is no coffee available

Rebecca Bell

Google
I come to this Taco Bell all the time and anytime before 6pm it's a normal experience. Every time I come after 6pm it takes nearly an hour to get my food, drive-thru or cafe. It takes 20 minutes to flag someone down to check in for my mobile order and the drive-thru line is always wrapped around the building. I've also never seen anyone with a sense of urgency after 6 pm. I always see employees standing around and goofing off with a cafe full of frustrated customers. When I was working in fast food service, my managers would have never let me goof off while there were people waiting to be served. I'm not asking for anyone's blood sweat or tears, but an hour is too long to wait for a taco, especially on a regular basis.

Yelp
Good food good prices compared to most get alot for a little a rare statement in thus encomy lol.

Sharon H.

Yelp
The food was terrible. The taco shells were soggy and the lettuce was soggy as well. The food I ordered had a strong odor of preservatives.

Julian B.

Yelp
The workers at this location really should be ashamed of themselves. I sat in this drive-through for over an hour not because I wanted to, but because I was stuck between two cars in the median 30 minutes straight not one car moved trash service. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
google avatar

Isabelle R.

Yelp
Well oiled machine! Hot food. What more could you ask for from a Taco Bell on a Thursday at midnight.

Paul S.

Yelp
Decent food. It can cause stomach problems at times. The service was ok. I think the price is decent.
google avatar

Cora A.

Yelp
The service was sooooooooo slow! Event though there was only 1 only person in front of me. I got a simple order of 4 tacos & it was GROSS! The shells were so stale. I don't have high expectations when it comes to eating at a Taco Bell. I know it's going to be be mediocre but this is unacceptable. You should have some standards and someone come review how this location is being ran. Sad that the first time I had Taco Bell in over a year was this experience
google avatar

Yelp
Negative 10. If you can't operate the drive way let's us through and go somewhere else. 20 minutes stuck in your driveway

Kevin G.

Yelp
Made a 51$ DoorDash pick up order and when I got there to pick it up they told me that the order was already picked up. I showed them proof that it said the order was still at Taco Bell and ready. They kept telling me that the order was picked up already, therefore they let somebody come get 51$ worth of food for free and didn't check for confirmation. They also refused to make the order again and told me to contact DoorDash support. Worst Taco Bell I've ever been to in my life and it needs to be shut down immediately.

Simon K.

Yelp
This is actually the worst Taco Bell that's I've been to. They spit in my food and didn't even get my order right. This establishment should be shut down and is an absolute shame to Taco Bell. How can I not give 1 star.

Daniel A.

Yelp
Rude staff, long wait times, and I came home with the wrong order. I could not believe the behavior of the staff.

Ineedthemoney S.

Yelp
the cashier Ken was super amazing and great customer service I'm most definitely coming back

Fred D.

Yelp
Now they have gone all electric ordering you cant get a receipt to turn in for business expense on a meal. I lost money because they will not print a receipt out when you purchase. They either email or text you a copy that cant be printed. Now that China runs it they have nothing but bad customer service.

Spartak G.

Yelp
great service and very good food 5 stars max amiyah has great servi give her a big raise

Juan M.

Yelp
It seems this location forgot it's a "fast" food restaurant. Put my order for only 2 tacos and still waiting 20 minutes later.
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised that this location had a 2star review. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Everything that I presented was in the bag and they were able to create everything vegetarian. The place was very clean and it was warm and pleasant inside adding to our experience

Max S.

Yelp
took an hour for out food to come, got ignored by all the staff, drive through wasn't even running. got someone's drink? get some help

Yelp
Terrible service, rude as hell. And the tacos were stale. Then I had to go inside to order for some reason.

Yelp
Basically tried to do an order in the drive thru. Very sad, reminds me of a Saturday Night Live skit, laughing. Then a hood rat fight in the kitchen boiled out the rear door into the parking lot, followed by lots of yelling and screaming by staff, finger pointing and well you know the drill. Generation Z at its finest. Drove off followed by three other cars avoiding a possible gun fight.

Yelp
Never a bad experience at this location. From walking in and ordering to the preparation of my food and delivery. The restaurant is clean and the employees are professional. This is what happens when you hire the right people. Often I may not be in the mood for fast food Mexican food but I go here when I am hurry. The other fast food chains in the are have something to learn from this establishment.

Newson G.

Yelp
Demandre was calm under pressure and got us out food! Loved to see fast food employees not getting overwhelmed!

Jonathan D.

Yelp
The staff is very polite and knowledgeable, orders come out pretty fast! the food is also pretty fresh
google avatar

Yelp
What is the the point of ordering online if they don't know what the hell your talking about when you get there. I arrived and told them OnLine order for (name here). They said "thank you!" I drove around and they hadn't even started the order.I ordered 20 minutes before I arrived and had to wait 10-15 more for them to get it together. COME ON!
google avatar

Steph M.

Yelp
Total shame because I used to love this place like my own place of worship. Since Covid, damn. Even now, 11/12, they are closed before the online hours (fkn fix that, wtf?????), and it's just sad.

Yelp
I've been here many times and generally it's always the same...long drive thru lines and a fair amount of people inside waiting. The wait can be long at the drive they but they are generally faster if you order inside. It's extremely easy to order using their self-serve kiosk. Also, it's always clean inside the restaurant, even the restrooms. They require a key from behind the counter to use same. The neighborhood isn't the best so you will get some homeless people around asking for things, but no different than other parts of large cities and particularly, Atlanta. My order is correct 9/10 times so I can't complain about that. The reason for 3/5 stars is due to the wait. It seems like they are always short staffed and the employees are always talking and chatting while 5-7 people are waiting for food. It's slower than many other location and that's why they lose 2 stars. Overall, it's still the closest location to me and I will still come here, but not when I'm in a hurry.

Dominic K.

Yelp
This location never lets me down and Sonya is the sweetest person I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Give her a raise! Will definitely be returning

Brandon F.

Yelp
Chances of your card number being swiped: High Chances of you sitting in the drive thru for 30+ minutes: Very high Chances your order is wrong: moderate
google avatar

Moriah H.

Yelp
They don't get paid ENOUGH for the traffic they get at this location. Debra made my night so good!! She was so sweet & welcoming!!! She DEF need a raise!!! Go DEB !!!! TB Fan for life!!!!

Hector O.

Yelp
I order a chicken quesadilla and a nacho supreme. I got more tortilla in my quesadilla then actual chicken. The tortilla is cold as shit. Plus it's not even cut into pieces as they are suppose to. Don't know what's so hard about that lol. Cheese ain't melted all the way. This Taco Bell trippen. Black people who work there don't give a f then they set a bad example for there culture. Get it together

Brandon B.

Yelp
the service at this Taco Bell is less than sub par. I actually came in to pick up and order and decided I would order something for myself. After not being greeted for over 10mins and I'm the only one stand there I just said never mind. The Manager on duty was rude to another customer which is what ultimately made me not order. just don't get how they're still up and running with this staff. It was one female that said something to me about why I was waiting but other than that they pretty much said I was a ghost. I don't recommend coming here especially if your day isn't already perfect.

Yelp
I was here yesterday and ordered 2 items. I went inside as I hate drive through. They have nobody taking orders. Its Kiosk or you dont eat! No money changing hands. One of the 2 kiosks is broken so you wait your turn to order on the only machine. I have eaten at many Taco Bells all over and while not the best, its generally acceptable to me providing it is somewhat decent in quality and delivery. This place though has gone downhill bigtime! I went to a different Taco Bell to try the new grilled cheese burrito you see advertised a lot and I liked it. I thought pretty good, I'll order more of these. Ah...but at this taco bell, it is no resemblance whatsoever to what I got at the other taco bell. Just a mess no grilled cheese and loose cheese and goop a total mess. I also order the double shell taco with the soft cheese between the 2 shells for a $1. That is a new special item and I never tried it before so harder to judge but what I got was a mess and no visible cheese seen. It didnt look anything like the photos, nor did the burrito at this location. At this time I already left. You cant eat there. However this is not the worst of it. Im 65 with conditions and I CARE about covid. There were 4 people who you can see right there making the food you are going to eat with masks around the neck! Nose and mouth exposed and generally have a loud lively conversation which requires a lot of lung use! They have your food in their hands! I expect there is noone who would enjoy seeing this! I probably should have left but I had already paid and the money isnt going to come back to you out of a kiosk. Not only that the kiosk doesnt ever print a receipt in person!!! Yeah you can email one to yourself but you dont think your going to need it. I guess from now on you better! The lady who handed me the bag had a mask on, but the folks behind her had the around the neck trick thinking maybe I will only pull it up if people complain? or if I get caught??? Im not sure what the thinking is. The chairs are also all down and no sign, but if you sit down they will tell you you cant. Ok no indoor eating is understandable, but most places put the chairs on the table, rope it off, or put up a sign but none of that here. I guess your just supposed to know. I would think we are just supposed to know we should have a mask on to but I guess I hope for too much. There has been a rucus between the Mayor and Governor on masks but the mayors most recent proclamation reads they should be wearing one in ANY building in the City of Atlanta. Unfortunately there is no enforcement otherwise I would have reported it already. I live fairly near this location but Im done with it! However I will continue at times with other Taco Bells as other locations operate SO MUCH better than this one and my health im sure is not nearly so endangered at other locations. I will post a pic of one of the four with the mask around the neck trick and a photo from corporate on what the 2 items I ordered are SUPPOSED to look like and what I actually got.

G A.

Yelp
service is terrible made with 0 love and only filled with disappointment, when u bite into it all u hear is " ion get paid enough for this bs" it ain't our fault
google avatar

Crystal T.

Yelp
I don't expect much from Taco Bell, but why forget to give us forks after we ordered chicken bowls? The night crew must've been half asleep.
google avatar

K. M.

Yelp
At this location, always check your food BEFORE you leave the parking lot. I ordered a quesadilla and smelled a burnt smell when I finally received my order. Looked in the bag and the quesadilla was black! Surely the person who prepared this has eyes and could see that the quesadilla was burned but sent it out anyway. When I took it back to the drive through window, no apology. He simply said, "we will remake it." I know you will! He said something to the person in the kitchen and that person sounded like a kid. If the owner reads this, you may want to do some surprise late night drop-ins to ensure children aren't on the grill. I see another review that mentions a child, and I'd like to think that no adult would have sent out an obviously burned quesadilla like the one I received, but ya just never know.

Zoë J.

Yelp
If y'all are gonna close early at least change y'all's hours online. I put in an online order and came to pick it up just to find out y'all closed 3 hours early. Wild.
google avatar

Anya W.

Yelp
So confused why this Taco Bell doesn't run normal hours. I went to this location my first ever time going to TB about 6 years back and it was a pleasant surprise. Now whenever I go there at night all the employees are sitting in the restaurant doing nothing, and the person at the window says the system is "restarting and they can't take orders for 20 minutes". If I wasn't actually hungry I would have waited but instead I had to go to the shitty McDonald's across the street, which gets less and less shitty as time goes on and The Taco Bell on Ponce continues to disappoint. But somehow they were open on New Years?? Extra star for being my first ever Taco Bell, but if I hadn't had that one positive experience, the countless negative experiences would make me want to give negative stars. Update - location is open late on week days. Seems like the workers fizzle out the weekend.

Yelp
We all know that Taco Bell is delicious but this spot just went *above and beyond* with their service; specifically, RAMELLO, Sarya, and Will! These guys went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my order even though they were clearly having a busy night. They could have easily overlooked my concerns (received an incorrect order from UberEats), but they reassured me that they would take care of it in no time! They remade everything quickly and did so with positive attitudes and even good conversation. It was apparent to my boyfriend and I that they were all super nice. They made us feel like we want to come back to this location in the future!! We're enjoying the food now! Thank you guys!!!

Yelp
I always had a soft spot for Taco 'Hell'. Despite getting 'fresh made tacos' that within 5 mintues the bottoms of the taco shell had disintegrated and became part of the wrapper, I still hung in there. But their prices have skyrocketed in the last month or two. They blame the 'pandemic', they blame not being able to find workers to work for horribel wages and zero-benefits...Then I spent 30 seconds on the internet looking up how well the Taco Bell CEO is doing. Apparently he is suffering through this pain of inflation, worker shortages and 'supply chain' by only making 10 million + a year. That's like almost triple from before the pandemic. So it makes perfect sense why Taco Bell would jack their prices WAAAYYY up and screw their customers. God knows they don't want to interfere with their CEO's new yacht he is having built at the expense of employees and customers. F*ck this fake meat, fast food sh*thole, they'll f*ck up your order anyway!

Charles P.

Yelp
I could go on and on about the situation but to put it simply after a 45 min wait they told us they had the food and simply refused to give it to us because we ordered in separate mobil orders. It's hard to recommend a food place that takes your money but doesn't give you food.
google avatar

Rhett R.

Yelp
Due to this Covid environment, I went thru the drive thru & got 6 items totaling about $13. Instead of the most expensive item of the order ($3.69), they put a cheap $1 taco in the bag instead. Once I got home I discovered this convenient rip-off! Needless to say I would not recommend this place if you don't want to be cheated!
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
Still ghetto despite gentrification.....I clearly state I'm eating food in restaurant, yet they toss brown bag at me....Hire people who CAN LISTEN AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.....where's the damn tray etc....all of the sauce packets stuck together with residue...Smh...
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
This is the absolute worst Taco Bell Order have ever had. Nacho fries came basically EMPTY with no cheese. Burrito was put together so poorly there was literally rice and beans falling out all over the bag. Crunch wrap was soggy and barely had anything inside. Mostly just moist tortillas. Sauces requested of COURSE not in bag. Cheese quesadilla again.... basically just two tortillas stuck together. Looks like whoever made this order literally just doesn't care about their job at all. Food was just inedible and disgusting. I called and the woman manager was rude. She then handed the phone to the male manager who was more polite and offered to remake the order next time I visit but based on this experience I don't even want to go back. Absolutely disgusted with this order. Never again.

Yelp
A huge thank you to Taco Bell on Ponce De Leon in Atlanta, GA. The customer service received from Fred was amazing! What an amazing experience. Thank you for going above and beyond. You truly embody the customer experience. Thank D! @TacoBell

Yelp
Taco Bell is the only fast food place I like, but this branch is HORRIBLE. I would say maybe only 50% of the time do they get my order right. Today they got the order wrong and the food was terrible.
google avatar

Sileena M.

Yelp
Just Ghetto so after you pay for your food you have to pull back to wait to only have to pull forward once your food is ready but why and they keep yo change like wtf I'm so done with this Taco Bell y'all funny so you don't want me to y'all make my food or some shit never again

Julian C.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs. There's absolutely no reason why a fast food place in such a lucrative area should ever be as understaffed and undersupplied as this Taco Bell is 24/7. I've worked in very busy fast food restaurants so I know what I'm talking about when I say this is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
"Can I get..." I take a brief pause, not really knowing wait I want. "Uh... A crunch wrap supreme, 2 chalupas with beef, and a nacho bell grande." well I guess the same old fall back is great. "Pull around to the window." "Thanks..." I drive up to the small and opening that will finally help my soul feel complete after the week of hell I just endured. "What sauce do you want?" "I don't want to die." I should really stop using drive-thru's as confessionals. "I'm afraid I'll never really make an impact on anyone. I'm going to die and no one will care about it."[1] "What hot sauce do you want sir?" They seemed unfazed by my musings. "Hot, Mild, and Fire please." As if anyone or anything can faze me at this point. "No one deserves to live. No one deserves to feel pain. Sentients is lost on us, no one should be aloud to suffer. It's not worth it." I get handed my bag of joyful delight. "Thank you." "You're welcome." If only I had known that is was such a large spiral down from the top to the bottom, I might not be in this mess right now. ---------- [1] The normal reaction to feelings of helplessness and vulnerability is often a need to regain control through a series of "If only" statements.

Andrew B.

Yelp
The length of the line/wait is jaw dropping. You could literally sit down somewhere and have a three course meal in the time it would take you to even place your order at this Taco Bell.

Yelp
This review is for the freestanding Taco Bell located at the corner of Ponce De Leon Ave NE and Charles Allen Dr NE/Parkway Dr NE. While the food I had at this Taco Bell was okay (by Taco Bell standards), I do not recommend visiting this location. For a better, safer Taco Bell dine-in experience, go to one of the next nearest locations. I suggest the store at 1761 Howell Mill Rd NW. My friends' parents were mugged in the parking lot here. Also, when I was waiting for my order, I watched several neighborhood kids walk into the store, with various sized empty cups, and steal soda from the fountain machine. They snuck out with huge grins on their faces. I'm not sure if the employees saw or even cared and it didn't look like it was the first time these kids had done it either. The neighborhood immediately to the south and east are historically known for high crime and drug activity, so the aforementioned incidents didn't surprise me in the least. I grabbed my lunch order to go. It consisted of my old reliable Taco Bell favorites: soft tacos and chalupas. Since the Doritos Locos tacos came out, Taco Bell's taco lineup has ballooned to over a dozen different tacos. Soft, crunchy, beef, chicken, double decker, etc. Through the years, I still prefer the taco I loved in third grade: soft taco with beef. In third grade, I could eat six of these in one sitting. The soft taco with beef comes with seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese in a soft flour tortilla. There's also a soft taco "supreme" option that adds diced tomatoes and sour cream, but I still prefer the plain version. I like to add about a pack of "fire" sauce to each soft taco. I'll finish one in about four bites. Taco Bell's chalupa is like a soft taco on steroids. I prefer the chalupa over the gordita because of the chalupa's crispier, tastier (and greasier) shell. The chalupa comes with seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce, three cheeses, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. Not surprisingly, it packs a bigger punch than the regular tacos (and about twice the calories). Service I experienced at this location was fine.
