D.C.’s First Taco Bell Cantina Is Moving Into Taco-Rich Columbia Heights | Eater DC

"I note the first Taco Bell Cantina in the Washington area opened on King Street in Alexandria in December 2018; it features outdoor seating and late-night hours, and according to the owner of gourmet market Society Fair the cantina was packed even as their (now-closed) business was struggling to stay afloat." - Adele Chapin

Feel so bad for these workers. I’m giving 5 stars for the workers busting their butts off tonight. They were working their tails off and never once stopped for HOURS. The manager was horrible to them and so were a lot of costumers. Who would screamed and berate them while making their food because the long wait times. They would continue to work and ignore the horrible things people were saying. I mean what do you expect when 50+ drunk people want taco bell? 45-60 minutes is a reasonable wait time considering the insane amount of dine in costumers not even including online pickup and delivery orders. Great job tonight. Good drinks and good food thanks to the staff and not the manager.

Greetings to my peers!on june 6,2025 I arrived at (taco bell Cantina)in old town ALEXANDRIA,to get myself something to eat and had a very uncomfortable bad experience doing my visit at this business.the employees at this business didn't acknowledge me as being a loyal customer, the energy giving was very unhealthy and unethical behavior overall.once I was finished placing my order at the (self checkout register)a employee asked me alot of unnecessary questions about my order and how I'd like to pay,why ask me any questions when your system data information at the (self checkout register) should've notified the employee how I wish to place a order at that present moment?the store manager condone, the store employee unethical conduct conduct with acting nonchalant to me as a customer and didn't make sure that I was provided with good customer service.this is a serious issue that could've crested unhealthy atmosphere within the store.

I came in and decided to get a soft shell taco, my taco was pretty good and so was my beverage. Sadly I paid $10 and I was supposed to get a change of $3.70, and only got $2.70 back. The staff was pretty friendly, but I would recommend paying with a card. Not cash.

The food taste was fine, but the service was just ridiculous: they forgot to put chicken in the chicken bowl and forgot to give guacamole. Instead of “we’re so sorry” they gave me “you’re so annoying” look 👀 Also, the portion size was smaller than usual. The floor looked like they never clean it 😕

When I go in and order food, it is made pretty quickly but you gotta go at certain times because you’re in rush-hour. It takes longer than expected probably about 25 to 30 minutes so many people are ordering you have to account online orders as well as in-store orders so you have to be mindful about that and be patient. There’s no need for you to put a one star on this business. I mean this is food. Everybody wants to have Taco Bell. Food is fast quick and delicious. I always get the Y2K Cantina Lux box. It is so good and very fulfilling. I like how you can order from the screen, you can customize your order you can modify it. You can swap out items. It is very user-friendly and the food is made right in front of you. You can see the people making the food for you and the workers are clean. They have gloves on. Overall very satisfying. And the employees are very friendly and provide excellent customer service

My go-to fast food restaurant. I like the double stack taco with refried beans (instead of meat). I ordered five items today and it cost me about ten dollars. I like that. I was at Subway not too ago and spent more than twenty dollars on a meal. Long live Taco Bell.

Very poor customer service. I accidentally selected the wrong item at the self-checkout and immediately asked for help to exchange it. I was more than willing to pay the difference, but I was told I had to pay the full price again. Yossy and Jessy were not helpful and did not try to find a solution. This experience was frustrating and disappointing.
