D.C.’s First Taco Bell Cantina Is Moving Into Taco-Rich Columbia Heights | Eater DC

"I note the first Taco Bell Cantina in the Washington area opened on King Street in Alexandria in December 2018; it features outdoor seating and late-night hours, and according to the owner of gourmet market Society Fair the cantina was packed even as their (now-closed) business was struggling to stay afloat." - Adele Chapin

I came in and decided to get a soft shell taco, my taco was pretty good and so was my beverage. Sadly I paid $10 and I was supposed to get a change of $3.70, and only got $2.70 back. The staff was pretty friendly, but I would recommend paying with a card. Not cash.

One of my faves! Whether it's a quick lunch or a late-night craving, Taco Bell never disappoints. I always go for the Crunchwrap Supreme or a classic taco combo—so satisfying. Their menu is super affordable too, and I love that they keep adding fun, limited-time items.

Greetings to my peers!on june 6,2025 I arrived at (taco bell Cantina)in old town ALEXANDRIA,to get myself something to eat and had a very uncomfortable bad experience doing my visit at this business.the employees at this business didn't acknowledge me as being a loyal customer, the energy giving was very unhealthy and unethical behavior overall.once I was finished placing my order at the (self checkout register)a employee asked me alot of unnecessary questions about my order and how I'd like to pay,why ask me any questions when your system data information at the (self checkout register) should've notified the employee how I wish to place a order at that present moment?the store manager condone, the store employee unethical conduct conduct with acting nonchalant to me as a customer and didn't make sure that I was provided with good customer service.this is a serious issue that could've crested unhealthy atmosphere within the store.

I ordered a cantina chicken burrito… they literally stuck two pieces of fried chicken on a tortilla. I don’t know how that even happen I don’t remember that being a burrito.

THE...WORST...TACO BELL...Placed an order via the app on my phone while we were on our way to this restaurant, hoping to pick up the order by the time we reached. Instead, there was no order waiting in the pickup shelves although the app clearly said that the order was ready, so I went over to speak to one of the staff at the counter and he was completely unwilling to help me find my order. He just pointed me back to the shelf and asked me to check there. I told him that the order status clearly says that it is "Ready" but I don't see it. All he said is that I should wait for it. He would not check with his teammates or in the system to see if the order was being prepared or if it was actually ready. I asked to speak to the manager, so he called the manager but the manager just shook his head to indicate that he did not want to talk to me. That's got to be the worst/rudest manager I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. All I could do was wait without any hope of assistance at the order pickup counter, hoping for a miracle. After a couple of minutes, one of the staff that was preparing the orders asked me my name and asked me to go back to the counter where I'd spoken to the first guy. This time, the guy at the counter asked for my name and found my order on a different shelf and handed it over to me. All in all, it took more than 10 min for them to find my order while several others were picking up their orders without any issues. Every member of the staff in this location needs some serious level of customer service training and the manager really needs to be dealt with severely (not like lose his job or anything but given a serious reprimand plus training).

The food taste was fine, but the service was just ridiculous: they forgot to put chicken in the chicken bowl and forgot to give guacamole. Instead of “we’re so sorry” they gave me “you’re so annoying” look 👀 Also, the portion size was smaller than usual. The floor looked like they never clean it 😕
