Imagining a Post-Pandemic World Where Chain Restaurants Dominate | Eater

"A franchise cantina installed in a former Mexican restaurant space that blends novelty with local art — serving bright blue frozen cocktails beneath a preserved graffiti mural and offering a late‑night, branded take on casual taco culture." - Meghan McCarron

I believe this is the cheapest restaurant possible to get a filling and hot meal downtown; the Value Menu prices seem identical to Taco Bells in outlying areas of Indy The Cantina opens early, but now only serves the regular menu (ie, breakfast menu is now never available.) The interior feels cozy, safe and controlled during the day; idk if that can change at night with sale of alcohol.

The service was insanely quick, the food was great, and the value is hard to beat. One of the better Taco bell locations in Indianapolis. Back to update the review. This has become my go to taco bell. They’ve literally never messed up my order, they food is always hot af, and the sauces are always stocked. This place is run like the navy it’s impressive, they’ve never disappointed.

I went to the grand opening of Taco Bell Cantina, and let me tell you, it's not your typical fast-food experience. This Taco Bell has taken the familiar and added an exciting twist that sets it apart from the rest. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was vibrant and modern, creating an inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. But what truly stood out was the unique cocktails on the menu. The food at this Taco Bell was much better than your standard Taco Bell experience. . The ingredients tasted fresh, and the combinations were thoughtfully crafted to create a memorable meal. Looking ahead, I'm excited to see what this Taco Bell has in store for the future. The promise of unique food and drink items to set themselves apart is intriguing, and I can't wait to see what creative twists they bring to the table. It's refreshing to see a fast-food establishment actively pushing boundaries and striving for innovation.

It's Taco Bell but with alcohol! Came here with my husband for lunch and it was nice. The atmosphere is fun and the service was fast and friendly. I got my usual Mexican pizza. If you like Taco Bell with or without the alcohol, you'll enjoy it here.

I Usually Eat Here But Sadly Today I Didnt Get My Order Right And I Was Missing My "Nacho Fries" As Well Since I Walk, Working Downtown I Asked The Kind Hispanic/Latino Man (Black Hair & Glasses, Somewhat Short) If I May Have A Bag With Handles. He Says Its Already In A Bag... What A Way To Start Off Black History Month. I Hope Everyone Has A Good Day... This Sadly An Add On I Worked At Taco Bell When I Was Sixteen And I Always Went Above And Beyond For Customers But This Is Bull Shit And Ghetto If I Was White I Would've Been Respected More. Even The Worker Who Got More Order Wrong Last Saturday Rolled His Eyes And Clocked Out And Walked With His Girlfriend Like He Did No Wrong I Hate This I Can Ever Be Treated With Respect Why Would The Managee LIE To Me When I Spoke With Him This Past Saturday I Pray GOD Gets Yall For How Yall Treated Me And To The Manager That Can't Get Off Gis Phone And Look Me In The Eye God Bless You I Worked At Taco Bell On Post Road, Pendleton Pike, Glendale, 25th And Meridian Across From Lincoln Square Pancake House NEVER IN MY Life I Treated A Customer As They Did Me GOD BLESS You Type If Humans Have A Faithful And Honest Future

I eat here a couple times a week. The food is good, but what keeps me coming back is the night manager Mel. She is great. I am handicapped and I get around in a power wheelchair. When Mel sees my mobile order come in she keeps an eye out for me. It’s not easy for me to get through the double doors in my wheelchair. She puts my order in a plastic bag and brings it out to me so I don’t have to maneuver my way through the doors. She doesn’t have to do that, but she does. That is going the extra mile to help and is excellent customer service. Taco Bell is lucky to have someone like her. I just wrote this review a few hours ago. I just got back from placing another order. This time Mel wasn’t working and everything got screwed up. First I ordered online for a 11:30pm pick up time and had to wait over 15 minutes. That wasn’t so bad. But then they totally screwed up my order. I ordered a cantina chicken bowl with NO beans and extra cheese chicken rice lettuce with extra sour cream and red sauce. I got none of the extras I paid for and they put beans on it which I can’t eat. I had to throw the whole thing away. So be sure and double check your order before you go.

Google
The only two people in there where homeless people, one ordered a drink and the other was begging me for food so you'd think the food would be wrapped properly since no activity. But nope. How do you manage to mess up both the wrapping and the burrito. For the record After building the burrito you put cheese on the wax paper then put the burrito on top of the cheese. Grill. Then fold the wax paper over the burrito so you don't get most of the cheese on the foil. Hope this helps

I hate to be the Debbie Downer. But this place sucks. Out of tequila both times I came to visit, the crowd at night gets a lil rough, the worst made & worst tasting Taco Bell food I've ever had in my life. The conversations between staff was inappropriate. The manager kept Express how he hates working there. Why not just another job?? I won't be back.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to check out this new Taco Bell in downtown Indy for awhile, however, I tend to take shorter lunch periods and had never been able to escape long enough to check it out. On this day before a holiday, things were a bit slow and I opted for an actual lunch out of the office. This is a Taco Bell Cantina - meaning, of course, that they do serve a handful of beers along with add-in mixes. This is a storefront location about a block away from the new Chick-fil-A spot. Otherwise, this is a fairly traditional Taco Bell with the exception of an upstairs back area (that I believe is not accessible). There's a definite Taco Bell vibe here. It's a fairly narrow storefront, though attractively decorated. The entry has two sets of double-sided doors. As you enter, there are multiple kiosks where you order. There's then a small alcove area where they will call your name and you pick-up. They will give you a cup and the fountain area is on the opposite wall. There's rows of seats - primarily half-booths. For the most part, it's wheelchair friendly with a little effort. I kept it simple by ordering a chicken quesadilla and a large drink. I'd ordered unsweetened iced tea, however, they were completely out of tea. I ended up with some sort of Brisk Dragon Fruit type mix that's pretty decent. The employees were friendly, a definitely plus. I also liked that you could enter your e-mail and get reward points. Overall, however, this was pretty mid-range for me. It wasn't bad. It wasn't really good. It was just fine. I'm not a fan of double-entries, however, it does help in terms of sound. I thought accessibility was fairly mid-range. I think the employees are friendly enough that you can likely overcome any obstacles in terms of drinks or needing a chair moved. I could probably go 3.5 stars here, however, I have a hard time justifying a 4-star. So, for now, I'm sticking with 3 stars and simply acknowledging that it is one of the more pleasant Taco Bell experiences in the city. I'll explore it a bit more next time including the back area.

Yelp
Late night craving?!? Run for the boarder and enjoy a Margarita and some Tacos!! Walk in and the area to your left, you can order an alcoholic beverage. Beer and frozen drinks are all offered for you to enjoy! I opted for the frozen margarita and for $8.00, it was worth saying I've had a drink at a Taco Bell. The food options all seemed to be the same as a normal TB. Mainly kiosk ordering, and they have a pickup area. The service was quick, and the restaurant was super clean and had a number of tv's playing the colts game. Also, there was a live band playing upstairs. Cool vibes and definitely different than your average TB. Late night cravings, it's open until 4am.

Yelp
To be fair, I'm not into fast food. I visited this location because I was downtown and was interested in seeing how the Taco Bell Cantina differed from Taco Bell. The answer is simply that this location has a liquor license and can spike smoothies. They also had live music playing on a mezzanine which was pretty cool. My friend and I ordered a quesadilla to share and it was the average quesadilla- nothing bad at all. The restroom is locked, but clean, with access only for paying customers. The floor was sticky, but the tops of tables were clean and there were plenty of napkins everywhere. Will I go back? No, but not because anything was wrong, the location is just not much more than any other Taco Bell.

Yelp
The tacos & fiesta potatoes were ok, but the rice in the chicken bowl had chunks of old dried rice that threatened to break my teeth with each bite. Theres no way they didn't realize the rice was not good.

Yelp
Nicest Taco Bell staff that I've ever engaged with. I think it was a manager who I was speaking to so she was probably carrying herself a little more professionally than other staff might, but regardless it made for a better experience. The tortillas of my tacos/burritos were intact when I opening them which is rare in my Taco Bell experience. Cool little upper deck in the back. Definitely can see myself getting plastered here.

Yelp
This is just a Taco Bell. HOWEVER, the quality, the space; and the vibes are pretty great! This was the best tasting Taco Bell I've truly ever had and the freedom to add tequila to a Baja Blast freeze is inspired! Unfortunately, the drink options are simply adding shots of liquor to the freezes or some beer options. There aren't any super creative or exciting possibilities. But if you know what to expect at this spot, it's worth visiting. The hours are also amazing for the late night crowd to have an options downtown.

Yelp
Taco Bell is love, Taco Bell is life. Now with alcohol. Live music upstairs in the back on the weekends. Interesting spot!

Yelp
Would be nice that when you order on a kiosk or online and selected x amount of sauce that the employee would put the sauce in the bag. Not that difficult. The sauce is the only thing that makes this food taste good. I feel like I can taste the counter top on this tortilla. Need some staff from south of the border in there.

Yelp
I was blessed to perform music on their opening night. The place was packed and the staff was amazing. The food was Taco Bell food, but I also had good beer. I have performed since and the experience was the same. Good staff and service. Great place to stop after shopping or events.

Yelp
I ate the 7 dollars big box and the amount of crap that came out of my body was insane It turns out that most of my stomach acid came out with it, and I now have tubes coming out of my butt I tried to sue them but could not. NEVER EAT HERE!!!

Yelp
If you get the cheez it crunch wrap to go, make sure they actually add the cheez it. I ordered it from the kiosk and I didn't notice until I got home. Big let down.

Yelp
This place is soooooooooo amazing I now call it the "HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH" Staff is amazing and thank you very much!!!! Signed BIGDADDYPIMPIN

Yelp
Constantly fails to read or comprehend special instructions. EVERY single time I ask for no sour cream, I get sour cream.

Bob R.

Yelp
They force you to use a kiosk (or their mobile app) to place your order which takes four times longer the ordering from a well-trained cashier. The message is clear: Your time is not important to them. Then , if you need a receipt, your choices are email or text so that they can collect your information in order to spam you. I will not be back.

Yelp
place is a joke!!! ordered six soft shell tacos...plus more, but anyways... waited for thirty minutes and got four supreme soft shell tacos... we ordered six!!! two supreme and four regular... place needs to get its act together!!!!!!!

Iggy K.

Yelp
Unbelievably slow. I could have chewed my arm off - literally - before the food showed.

Evelyn W.

Yelp
Food was cold. No meat in the chalupas just retried beans. Bad enough that the price went up ( which I unfortunately understand) but the quality is so much less than it used to be

Yelp
food was as usual a beer is $6 the twisted freeze was $8 and an additional $5 for a double shot which if you ask me is way to much when its only a 12oz drink
