Honestly a pretty dismal experience. Firstly, the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. You'll be lucky if you get a very small order within 20 minutes. Wait times can sometimes exceed an hour as they always seem to prioritize the drive through and they leave the people in the lobby with little to no service. There is rarely anybody at the front so it's extremely hard to find somebody to talk to. The app works terribly with this location. If you try to order 20 minutes before they close on the app then it won't go through. In additionto this, they don't care what their posted hours are and they seem to close when they want. I went in today 15 minutes before closing only to find that they stopped taking orders 30 minutes before closing. Of course they were still serving the drive through and taking orders there. So even though I arrived 15 minutes before closing, I was refused service. Absolutely ridiculous. The restaurant itself is also almost constantly dirty. Napkins, overflowing trash bins, and spills on every table will likely greet you when you enter. The only saving grace is the food. It's pretty good for a taco bell... if you're lucky enough to get served.

Pretty fast picking up and drive thru but in person takes a while about 20-30 minutes.Food is good for fast food but a little on the heavy side.

Taco 🌮 Bell 🔔 is always great 👍 light food 🥘 on the go. Good Taco salad 🥗, great nachos, and tacos 🌮 of all types. The Doritos locos tacos 🌮 supreme are very delicious. The nachos supreme is always a favorite. The mild sauce is out of this world. Stop 🛑 They only serve through drive through in the evening. Shouldn't have to wait 10+ min for a god damn mobile pick up order. Man kept focusing on the drive thru than multi multi-tasking and asking those in line if they have a pickup order etc.

Whether it’s busy or not, the wait time is completely unreasonable. Right now, I’ve been waiting over 30 minutes for a meal and there’s no crowd. During busy times, I’ve waited over an hour multiple times and ended up canceling because I never got the order. They are extremely slow at handing out orders.

Worst service so far, waited almost an hour at the drive thru and didn’t end up getting my food bc of how long they were taking. This place sucks.

Gave 4/5 for food bc I mean it’s Taco Bell. 5/5 for service bc this is the ONLY Taco Bell around that gets my order CORRECT nearly EVERY TIME. When I go to other locations, they manage to always mess it up. What’s so difficult about meat and cheese only? Nothing. This store gets it. I hate lettuce with a passion and especially Taco Bell lettuce. It leaves a stain on my taco and ruins it. Thank you guys for 8/10 getting my order correct. That’s better than any location around.

The AI feature at the drive thru speaker was actually able to recognize that I said I had an online order with my name! Happily surprised!

usually when I go to this location, my food is bad but today they did a good job I went during 11 PM and my food was hot and right this time. I don't know if they got a new manager, but keep up the good work please.

They will take your money and not give you any food. This is the craziest experience I've ever had in any restaurant... point black period. I have always been patient and understanding, as I have been in the food and service industry myself for years. When I pulled up in the drive thru to pick up my online order, the employee at the drive thru instructed that I wait in their restaurant lobby. I obeyed and parked my car and walked on in. Here is the kicker: I waited 30+ minutes for my order. When I asked for confirmation that my order would still come out after the half hour had passed, they o roceeded to laugh in my face and wondered loudly why I was still there. Mind you, there were people inside the restaurant and out that were patiently waiting as well. Their audible jeers and pointing was so embarassing and not even an ounce respectful. I'm 22 years old with my own apartment and bills to pay. And I wanted a meal to eat tonight and they didn't even bother telling me that my order wouldn't come out. They just kept saying it would eventually come and continued to contribute towards laughing at my plight. Eventually, after waiting a ridiculous amount of time, I just left on my own accord. I probably waited until 3:30 am after I place my order a little before 2:30. Mind you, they were open until 4 today and had the workers confirming their hours over and over again when asked. No sympathy. No human connection. No lack of understanding. I literally lost money and spoke to a person behind the counter telling me to keep waiting. Over and over again. For nothing. I will never come back here again and I hope this business understands the jeapordy they put real people in looking to get a freaking meal to survive. These are college students that want to eat for God's sake. Look at the location. Prime area. Right next to UCI. They stayed open on New Year's Eve this time of day knowing orders would rack in. However, regardless of the targeted population, if something clogged up the orders or business was going way faster than man power could handle, customers would completely understand and accept a valid y such as that. If I was told that it was too much trouble to get to my order today I would have understood and walked away with a refund. It's 2025....just say the app should have closed and online orders should not have gone through. Do NOT make false promises that orders will go through and then laugh at people that wait for the meals they've been promised. LIKE HOW TWO FACED CAN YOU BE? To promise a meal then expect people to give up after waiting half an hour is insulting and ridiculing. And to top it all off it was my fucking birthday. I was born on 12/31/2001. I can show you my drivers license. I ordered my first and last real meal of that day. I could have been fine with everything that went down, but that laughter and rude attitude will forever be engraved in my mind.... especially on a day like today where I could have spent it at home with people who actually cared about spending my birthday with me. I already opened a ticket with the customer service at Taco Bell, and I will be expecting my payment back to my card in full. It would be ridiculous if I did not receive it. I didn't get any of my food! And they confirmed the order??! Like what the heck. If receipts are needed I am happy to provide them. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me and contact me about this situation as I am happy to explain exactly what happened. If Zero stars was a thing I would leave it for the heartless people who left me insecure and sad on my fucking birthday. I asked so many times if my order would be ready and they continued to confirm it would come out at a reasonable time. Yet, it didn't. Figure out what happened that day because I am not the only one filled with promises and empty pockets. You stole a lot of money that day and had too many rude individuals employed. There was a couple that waited an hour. I spoke with them. Embarassing. Sad. Pathetic. Do Better.

Ok, first things first. I haven't been to Taco Bell in literal years. And before we get into the details, was it bomb yet underwhelming at the same time? Of course. It's Taco Bell. You come to Taco Bell expecting just that and they deliver, you can't be mad at it lol I went through the drive through for my order, and the first thing I noticed was that they have an AI interface at their order speaker, I was impressed not gonna lie lol I had already placed a mobile order so the second I noted I had a mobile order a real life human came on the speaker and asked me to pull up (AI was short lived but still cool lmao) I ordered a little bit of everything (which is ironic because we know everything at Taco Bell is same same but different haha) My order was as follows: Crunchwrap supreme Beefy 5 layer burrito Cheesy fiesta potatoes Soft tacos (GOAT no matter what anyone says) Doritos locos taco Bean and cheese burrito Chalupa supreme (another GOAT) Chips and cheese Baja Blast Zero (I think this is new? I don't rameee there being a zero option before but I am here. For. It.) The employee at the window was super friendly. My order was correct with no misses. And I was given more than enough sauce to actually suffice for all my items! Also- the drive through at this location was the widest I've ever seen (you could legit pull up 2 cars side by side with ample room) and for some reason this really elevated my experience lol Overall solid 4 stars, Taco Bell always hits, and if you have the app and catch one of their promos, they're a really good value as well!!

Management should be ashamed of themselves for consistently understaffing and under preparing this store. The wait time here must be nothing else but corporate greed and a desire to keep labor costs low.

First off the service here is horrendous. The workers are incredibly rude and refuse to clean the venue. When I ordered dine in, the lady serving the food refused to say my name and even yelled to everyone "I am not saying that inappropriate name!", referring to my name "Genji". I felt discriminated and considered leaving as soon as I heard that. I swiftly grabbed my food and left to eat it at home. A horrendous experience.

Please STOP being stingy with the sauces. The last 3 times I've ordered from here, I requested a lot of sauce packets, delivery gets here and I'm lucky to get 4. Super annoying. The sauce is my favorite part. If you don't want to give it out, don't ask us how many we want and what kind on the app. THANKS!

Do yourself a favor-- DO NOT order the Street Chalupas! Hard as a rock! I like Taco Bell but that menu item was terrible...

Consistently bad order accuracy. Leaves a considerable amount to be desired when it comes to customer service and attention to detail.

My favorite fast food is the Taco Bell crispy taco. A prefab hard taco shell provides crunch without grease. It's filled w a crumbly Protein, shredded cheese-like substance, shredded iceberg, diced tomato and packaged hot sauce. Life doesn't get much better than two of these puppies for lunch.

I am not a fan of any Taco Bell. I was famished. It was late and I was driving and I only place to stop and was open. It usually gives me bubble guts. I try to stay away from that. The young lady that did help me up the drive-through was very nice. Very kind very friendly And I appreciate that to me. Taco Bell is not Mexican food. It's fast food claims to be Mexican.

I just went through the drive through. First of all, there was a computer taking my order. Some may like the cool factor, i do not. Then, my order that i was given was totally wrong, except for the drink, so i didn't notice until i got home... There's no excuse for that. The computer took my order correctly. If you're not taking orders, you should be able to get the customer the food they ordered and paid for. And now that i'm home, i don't want to go back and get my correct order...

Don't come here if you are in a hurry. Between drive thru, door dash, Uber eats, and taco bell's increasingly complex menu, you're going to be waiting 20-30+ minutes for your food after you order, even at 9:30 at night on a random Thursday, even when UCI is not in session.

Took over 40 min to get my 2 quesadillas. Manager was arguing back to everybody who was complaining. The absolute worst. Taco Hell indeed.

I ordered a Nacho supreme combo, what a disappointment! The Nacho supreme looked nothing supreme but lame in toppings, Iced tea tasted old, nothing worthy coming back. I should have gone to Del Taco instead.

If I could give a negative 10^500 I would. This Taco Bell has the shittiest customer service. I was doing an Uber Eats delivery for one Stephanie N., and I kept getting jerked around by the kitchen staff, waiting 30+ minutes on the order to even arrive. One staff member says it'll take 10 minutes before it arrives... then another staff member says a couple more orders.... And what are they doing?? They're focusing on everyone else's orders (which were also taking forever; idk how these UCI students have this much patience)!! Another staff member later says they haven't even worked on it yet! So unacceptable... if you guys ever see this Taco Bell steer clear of it like the plague!

I went to drive thru and the employee by the name of Desiderio M was so rude, she snatched my Debit card from my hand then hands me my drink/straw, receipt and card back ALL AT THE SAME TIME. As I go to put my drink in my cup holder she was already waving my bag of food in my window saying "here". I grabbed it and she shut the drive thru window. Very poor customer service.

I honestly doubt writing this review will ever get to corporate but figured it's worth a shot. I had a late night craving of a large baja blast freeze & nachos. There's 2 taco bell's close to me & this one is the closer one. I've been here many time before & it's always such a hit & miss. Feeling lazy I ended up here of course & the drive thru already has like 4 cars in line. It seems like it takes forever to get up to order. I finally did & it literally felt like years & years & years to get to the pay window. IDK what the idiot 2 cars ahead of me ordered but they messed it up for everyone behind. By the time I get my order the large baja blast freeze is basically liquid. I should of sent it back but I was just so over it at the time & took it anyway. Maybe it wasn't the car in the drive thru with the complicated order to blame but the idiotic workers. Why would you let a freeze sit on the counter for 30 minutes when it takes a couple of seconds to fill up ? the stupidity of the workers really amaze me. They didn't even apologize for the wait. Also took forever to pay for my simple easy order. I would try to avoid this place. Drive thru is just so bad & incredibly slow !!!. & it's common for them to run out of baja blast freeze which has been my experience in the past. Drive a couple min up Jamboree to visit the barranca location instead.

Only tbell in existence to know when to toss stale food out. I have gone here for the last three years and randomly went to check their yelp.. shocked at two stars. Spotless in there, all food is properly portioned, rice/tortillas never stale. Service is always with a smile. Genuinely scared to eat at any tbell but their campus location, this one is kept absurdly clean!

My teenage daughter was 20 min later than scheduled time to pickup her order (~$20 value) today. The order was gone, most likely picked up by wrong person. Oddly, the manager got mad at her. Right away, she suspected my daughter cheating and flag her name after remaking the order. My daughter is a very innocent girl and horrified by such a bad treatment. She went back home and told me about that and wept. I am furious about it. We will never step in that business again.

The new AI drive-thru reception is absolutely awful. It isn't even able to do some of the simple modifications like a side of black beans. Also, it forces the customer to order at a certain pace because it is not responsive until it finishes a question or sentence. I understand the desire to take advantage of new technologies that exist, but we don't need them in a drive thru all the time. It would make sense if the drive thru AI is only used during busy hours, but it does not make sense for it to be on all the time. I hope this new technology isn't an excuse to pay workers even less.

Staff takes forever to make food and then will give you the wrong order. If you go back in to complain, they have to make your order again and it will take 20 minutes each time.

Idalia, a dangerously dense employee wearing a pride bracelet, was extremely rude when we had order issues using the AI drivethru system. Very disappointed and disrespected at the UTC TacoBell. Could not even enjoy my Baja Freeze after this poor experience. Do not recommend this location or Idalia as your order taker.

Very distasteful customer service. As a food enthusiast the service is the least of things I hope to receive but when you're not greeted at all in store, or when you're refused to be helped despite having waited tens of minutes, then the food isn't near worth waiting for. This Taco Bell flat out sucks. I've continued to come here time and time again only to see this establishment get worse and worse.

Taco Bell is something I find myself consistently craving. The tacos and crunch wraps have great flavor that are only enhanced by the hot sauce. The nacho fries are something I always get when they come back. My favorite item to get is the beef quesadilla. It has the perfect level of heat and good portions of meat and cheese. My only problem that I find myself having is that I can't get enough hot sauce packets for my tacos. I think there's a limit on how many someone's allowed.

Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato 5.00/10- Taco Bell is testing a Mountain Dew Baja Blast flavored gelato for the first time only in Irvine, so we had to try it. Tbh it tastes like a regular Mountain Dew Baja blast freeze, but it's more of an airy taste. It's very light, and not as icey. It's not as creamy as regular gelato or Icecream however it's just a tad creamier than the freeze. Honestly it makes more sense if they released it as a sorbet as it aligns more closely with that than gelato. It's not too sweet either. There was a weird after taste- like a cross or something sour and mouthwash. The color is spot on though, and the cup is really cute. I like how they did the spoon in lid as it's convenient and it's a single serving. Today was the first day of the testing and I believe it lasts until supplies are out. Also found out today that Taco Bell does not have spoons, so FYI if you're doing a taste test with others

Worst customer service, went inside and didn't get helped so I went to the drive thru and the worker was rude arguing with me and got my order wrong trying to charge me for multiple combos when I only ordered one item. I had found a French fry and chicken in my Mexican pizza and it wasn't sliced either. If I could I would give it 0 stars. The bathrooms were nasty like no one goes and checks them often.The health department AND corporate need to come check this location out. The older woman that was working the window on 5/22 was arguing me down and giving me attitude when I only came for food. Maybe she was having a bad day but that shouldn't be taken out on customers. This is the only bad review I've ever given to a business. I'll just stick to del taco and anywhere else from now on

no customer service rude unorganized there was 12 people there and they all look like zombies no one was doing anything daughter was supposed to be done at 12:47 I was there at 12:44 it is now 1:00 still not done so that store needs some help serious help I finally asked how long would it be for Jose cuz I got tired of waiting and the girl said I'll check back there for you I'll check the orders and when she came back like 4 minutes later she said it'll be ready soon

Monday 03/11 @8:00 some kids working up front were talking to each other and completely ignoring they had a customer, i had to stare at them till someone can take my order but no manager was around or looked like there was a supervisor and from the reviews this is no fucking surprise like it's not that hard bro

won't go again, my tacos had a long piece of hair in it. i should've just turned back after i walked in and immediately felt disgusted with the place. dirty everywhere in there and crumbs over all the tables and seats.

The service here terrible, the lady worker slammed my food like she does not like her job and i asked for one more sauce she showed me attitude like stared at me with side eyes.

Your AI at the drive thru is horrible! I will not be a customer of yours until you remove that. This was at the UCI Campus location. Poor decision! Humans earning a salary are more important. People over profits. Especially corporate profits.

I walked into this location two weeks ago and was greeted with a sticky floor from the front door to the soft drink machine. Today two weeks later the floors are still a sticky mess. Kind of wonder what the kitchen is like. Surprising considering this location is down the street from corporate head quarters. The smell reminds me of a well lived in frat, it is across the street from UCI, so I guess it should be expected. Ordering online for pick up inside, makes it a ten minute wait because the drive through is prioritized. Food was ok but I had lost my appetite by then.

The worst. I wish I could have given zero stars but I don't think it's possible. First, you can't order from a live person. I went to the cashier and she said I had to use the kiosk even though I was standing right in front of her. I had some questions but she ran off before I could ask them. I waited around and she eventually came back but couldn't answer them. I guess if you want drive-through fast food this might be OK, but you get absolutely zero customer service here. They don't even pretend to want to help.

Just grabbed food at this location, girl at the drive thru has no please or thank you or you're welcome in her vocabulary! I ordered craving box asked for mild sauce, came home to see she only put 3 for the whole box! Also, when she handed me the box, I said thank you ... she just looked away! On the receipt the name of the cashier reads Adolfo P! This girl needs more training!

Save yourself the awful customer service and go down the street to the other location. Trust me you'll save your time by driving down the street to the jamboree location.

Ah yes. Lets lock the doors at 11am. Next to a campus. On a weekday. My disabled father in law needed to use the bathroom, and he had to walk all the way to the door and back to the car with no hope. While we witnessed many groups of students trying to open the door. If its because of COVID restrictions, that is a very outdated reason considering EVERYTHING is open indoors now. Just seems like an excuse for the franchise owner to be lazy. Ps. Their drive thru is slow.

I must share my Horrible experiences at this location; University Center, Irvine. I say "Experiences" because I re-visited to give the Manager the benefit of the doubt. Big Mistake. Unfortunately, the 3 times I was there, they wouldn't ALLOW me to place my order with a Real Person. The Manager Made me use the Kiosk (which I was unfamiliar with) so she said, she would come help me. It took her 10 minutes and I was on my lunch hour. The reason I walked in was for fast service; although, I found out I was thrown into a Que. Doesn't end there. The Manager (female) who is still working there, was Rude, Mean to me, and would only allow me 2 packets of hot sauce with my order. What??? I am salsa queen! I like a lot of salsa packets on my tacos and burritos! I was appalled she and her associates would not give me extra salsa packets And the Associate was holding a huge box of new salsa packets while the Manager told me, "Corporate doesn't allow us to give more than 2 packets per order." You've got to be kidding me. 2 packets per order???? The reason I am leaving this negative review is Corporate needs to re-evaluate your staff. The Manager and staff at the University Center location are extremely Rude, Horrible in Nature, Doesn't know how to treat Customers, Condescending, and DO NOT accommodate customers whatsoever. Please do something about this! Customer Service is very Bad at this location.

It wasn't my turn to pick a spot for lunch at work, so here I was. I eat at Taco Bell maybe once every 10 years. However I do like their chalupa. It reminds me a little of the Indian fried bread that I've eaten in Arizona only it's nowhere near as good. Anyways I decided to order their Double Chalupa Box to check it out. The cashier was nice, quick, and friendly. *Double Chalupa Box* Everything came conveniently packaged in a box. It was a decent amount of food for 5 bucks! It came with a double Chalupa, nacho cheese Doritos locos taco, crunchy taco, and a medium drink. Junk food at its finest. However the double chalupa was unimpressive and definitely not double the amount of beef or anything. They had a little station with their condiments just directly across from where you order. You can grab some while you wait for your food to come out. For what it was, it tasted fine. However later that evening I had a bout of diarrhea. Coincidence? I don't think so. Some people's bodies can process junk food from Taco Bell, but mine will reject it or react poorly.

We have been standing out her for more then 8 minutes and no one has come to take orders .... They have the worst service ever.... They only prioritize drive through orders..... it's the worst Taco Bell ever.....

*Review is for the new seasoned fries and loaded fries supreme As this location is the only one to release these 2 new items for a limited time only, I knew I had to act fast. In my past I've always been a fan of the Bell. I love their sauces and their meat, or "meat", not sure which but I still love it. Also in my youth, I've always mistaken taco bell for having fries when they indeed did NOT. But now my dreams have finally come true. Not only did they introduce fries, but they're SEASONED fries, sticking true to their crazy food inventions. Then to top it off, they offer the loaded fries, imagine their nachos, but with fries. YUMMMM. The verdict? The fries looked delish as well as tasted delish. The seasoning is slightly sweet, slightly salty, and sprinkled with something red I couldn't tell what. When I got to Taco Bell at noon, I was surprised to find the place empty on school grounds. I wanted this place to be crowded so that I get the freshest cooked fries. So mine came out to be warm but not THAT fresh. But who cares, for .50 cents a pop, I'll take these hot or cold any day. The loaded fries were also easy on the eyes as well as my palate. Loaded with nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, ground beef, and a sprinkling of diced tomatoes, these made the perfect comfort food. I had been craving nacho cheese sauce for a while now and these hit the spot. Although these were great, next time, I would stick to my fries since I'm still a traditionalist at heart. For me, this was a perfect size portion, anymore and I would've had to stop because it would've become too much. For $1 a pop, these are a steal!! Also, least I forget, they also have a new item besides these two. They introduced the chicken nugget chips. Maybe next time... Would be back soon for mucho mas fritas. Muy Bueno!!

I'm soooo sick of diving to this location late night expecting them to be open for the listed hours they show online and then to see a sign in the drive thru that they decided to close early. What's the point of having set hours of you're just gonna close whenever the hell you want?!
