Taco Bell Cantina

I really wanted to like this Taco Bell. It’s in a great location right off H Street NE, and the new layout makes it very accessible. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The store consistently feels unclean, and the staff is generally unfriendly, which makes for an unwelcoming experience. The only real upside is that the prices are the same as other Taco Bell locations. Overall, it’s disappointing—definitely not up to the standard you’d hope for, even from a fast food spot.

Very unprofessional experience. The staff member had no name tag and addressed customers with inappropriate terms like “maama” or “baby.” She openly discussed her personal life, showed her tattoos to customers, and spoke with an attitude. The employee, a Black woman with orange hair (name unknown), argued with customers for no reason and made rude comments about their appearance. She assumed I was Spanish and could not speak English, which felt disrespectful. I waited over an hour and a half for my food, yet she was choosing which customers to serve based on her preference. She even told another customer or delivery driver that she would not take care of me and decided on her own who to help. Instead of calling customers properly, she used body language to summon them.

Staff was kind, and it was Taco Bell is the only kind things I could say. The time it takes to get your orders are crazy. I had to wait up to 2 hours to get my food, and this sort of thing has been happening for the past 3 months. I was very happy to have a Taco Bell, but what’s the point now.

I’ve been hungry for three hours. I ordered on door dash. The first driver canceled because after an hour of waiting, they finally told him it was a 2 hour wait. Mind yall I placed the order around 12:50ish.. it’s now 4:35 abs my new driver has been waiting for another hour and a half when they finally told him the order isn’t even made……..at this point I’m asking if it’s crowded he says there are really people in there but it’s three workers… THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER.

This might be the best value for a meal that I had in DC all week. Staff was helpful and the food was hot and quick. It was so nice to get a bottle of water for less than 2 bucks....a real novelty in this town!

This is my third time visiting this location. The previous visits were okay despite the slow service. This time, there was a piece of plastic in my cantina bowl. I did call the resturant so hopefully they fixed the issue and this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Rude and disgusting staff. The girl with the orange hair had an attitude off jump. Ordered online for pickup which anytime I have came was through the window she with an attitude pointed for me to come in. Come in asking for pickup she said for who I say my name and she rudely said not ready yet. Get notification from the app saying my food ready. She catch an attitude saying the potatoes ain't ready after waiting almost 10 mins she waited till finally my stuff ready to tell me they don't have no strawberry freeze drinks. Like you been standing there the entire time you could've been said something. I ask to cancel and get refund she like we don't do that. And yells to them to trash my food. Disgusting behavior wouldn't come there.

I’m pregnant in my first trimester with horrible nauseas and need to eat every 3-4 hours to keep it at bay. I placed an order on Uber Eats for 3 tacos and fries from this place and it’s now 11:20pm, I made this order over an hour ago, 4 delivery driver cancellations later I ask what’s going on, they tell me the food isn’t ready yet. This is unacceptable. UNACCEPTABLE. I am nauseous, hungry, and upset I’m eating this late to begin with, if I even receive my food at this point. I don’t know how else to flag this location for violations to higher ups but they definitely need to close this location down for epic failures to do their jobs. Until they can hire more people or do something of the horrible service, this place should not be open. Period.

There's a 24/7 Taco Bell with a walk-up window that's now open and is just down the street from me! So yeah, that means I've already been here multiple times. Look, it's cheap and it always hits the spot. The staff here are really friendly. My order has always been quick and correct. And nicely made and packaged too. This Taco Bell location is heads and tails so far above the crappy Taco Bell in Union Station, which used to be the closest location to me. Anyways, this is a great Taco Bell location.

How is this place , particularly this location still in business? How is it that I placed my order ONE HOUR AGO, and it's still NOT READY? What the actual F*CK? I've NEVER had this issue at ANY Taco Bell establishment before. I don't understand how this is allowed. You're supposed to be a "fast food", not a wannabe restaurant, and even then, had I ordered from a real Mexican restaurant they would have been quicker and provided better quality REAL Mexican food. An absolute joke this location is.

Comically slow. I love taco bell. But it does not take 30 minutes to make one of their tacos. Except at this location.
