Here's a rephrased review: Kudos to this location for outstanding customer service! A huge shoutout to Cruz, the cashier who took our order. fantastic job! We also appreciated the warm hospitality from the lovely older lady in the kitchen and dining area. She went above and beyond to ensure the dining space was spotless and even took the time to thank us for visiting. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor really made our experience special. We'll definitely be back!

Just ordered Taco Cabana from uber eats they didnt cut the meat or chicken they just toss in there and we ordered 16 oz steak and 16 oz chicken and ordered flour tortillas, they gave us corn tortillas and we also ordered, a large order of rice they gave us tiny little cup. The meat not even cooked still bleeding. No money back. I highly recommend not ordering from this store. Just sent all the pictures to uber. Very fustrated wasting $50.00 for a very unprofessional way of conducting business.

This is by far one of the worst taco cabanas I have been too the store it's self looks horrible in side made me and my family feel disgusted to eat here . Something should be done about this location my enchiladas looked like a plate of cheese the chicken in the quesadilla was still cold.... When I asked the manager for my money back she asked me why and tried to give me a hard time about giving me my money back.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. They were pretty busy but the staff was moving fast. They greeted everyone and were pushing food efficiently. My order was correct, fresh and tasty. This location was clean and organized throughout. I also enjoy the large outdoor seating area.

I just wanted to start off and say that I highly recommend this taco cabana especially the employee by the name of Sharon she was able to help me and modify my Mexican pizza the way I wanted.But her manager should take people's skills from her and quit policing. great service great employees they just need a different manager

Waited what felt like forever for my to-go order only for them to drop my steak quesadilla on the floor. The cook told me it won't take long & proceed to throw tortillas & cheese & I guess the steak on the griddle for what felt like less than 30 seconds. Boxed it up, bagged it & gave it to me. The whole kitchen seemed out of order. Spent over $30 for this? Seriously?

Big fan of their chicken quesadillas with extra pico! If you are looking to throw a party, this is a great place to order your party pack from! You can do chicken, steak, and beef tacos and fajita! Comes with pico, rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, - chips and salsa! It's perfect! Whatever size your party is, you can't go wrong and it's easy clean up! Best of the best, all things are include ...spoons, folks, napkins and more! It hits!

This is the second time my order from Taco Cabana has been incomplete in less than a month. This time, the Sopapillas (small order) were missing, although the Dulce de Leche sauce was included. My previous order was missing a drink, which is why I didn't even bother ordering one today--I had already lost confidence. There are only two Taco Cabana locations near me in Irving, and I drove 20 minutes to pick up this order. Upon arrival, I had to wait behind other customers, then an additional 10 minutes after giving my name again at the window. While I appreciate fresh and hot food, it should have been ready and complete. To make matters worse, when I got home, my two tacos were crammed into a tiny Styrofoam container, which had leaked beef juices all over my chips and the other containers. This is unacceptable. I'm genuinely disappointed and unsure if I'll return. You can--and should--do better.

Upon arrival at the drive thru, I noticed five cars ahead of me. I noticed they were taking 6 mins per car (I timed it). Once at the intercom, I was greeted, "please hold on for a moment." Then there was silence for five mins. Takes a min to place the order then drove straight to the window, paid and my order was almost ready. This means the wait at the drive thru was 30 mins. There was no apology either, and in turn there was no salsa or flour tortillas in my chicken flautas plate order. Also, the app was not taking orders.

Do go to the location on Montfort in Dallas in front of Walmart. Worst service ever. Waited atthe register for almost 15 minutes and no one came to help me. They were all in the kitchen talking. No wonder they never have customers.

Visited the location at Plano Road and Forest today for lunch. this place is atrocious they had no brisket like what is being advertised on TV. there's no salsa bar and this was lunch mind you there's no ice in the machine the coke was flat and when we asked a girl for ice she had the worst attitude about it. didn't say here you go or I'm sorry just grab the cups, walked away came back with ice. the food was okay but this place is going down fast.

This is absolutely the worst place ever! I keep coming back cause my family loves TC food. But this location is terrible. Dirty bad attitudes from management also. I've had my money refunded twice in 1 year. I'm done. I'll never come back here again. Sometimes no Tortillas Beans Once they had no plates. Smh Slow to come out n no one will tell you anything staff are scared or have attitudes. Its terrible save your money go anywhere else.

My gf works near this location and decided to go there for lunch.... bad choice- she ordered 2 tacos and a bean and cheese burrito (for a Tex mex place this is a homerun order) both her tacos had raw uncooked meat in them, the bean and cheese burrito was cold- like really really cold. Needless to say I won't be recommending this place to anyone and will see how the refund process goes... might have more to say judging by other reviews.

After shopping, food was needed, and Taco Cabana looked and sounded good to me. I decided I needed a beer one Dos Equis for me, and get this I got carded, I can't believe I got carded at a 'fast' food type restaurant. The cashier apparently thought my side kick and I liked so young, funny thing is we were only a year younger than him, Yeah us for looking younger than we are. Plus the cashier was kind enough to bring our food out to us so we didn't have to go to the counter to pick it up. With our cervezas we had some chips and guacamole and each of us got the fajita chicken taco dinner. A visit to the salsa bar was needed, lots of tasty fresh salsas to pick from but watered down cilantro, I had to ask twice for them to put some fresh cilantro out there for me. Once it was finally out there I dug in. The tacos were great, the chips and guacamole were good, the fresh tortillas were hot, the rice was decent but the beans I wasn't a fan of, I just don't like ranchero style beans. Over all it was OK my side kick did find a chicken bone in her taco which was kind of scary but at least you know they use real chickens for their chicken fajitas right?

Taco Cabana has wonderful online customer service and provided me with an apology incentive to try them again. I did try them again and service is a little better. Been going to Taco Cabana awhile now and they all are different when it comes to food quality and service. This Taco Cabana off of 1-30 does a good job on both. The food has always been fresh here and I have eaten at different times of the day. Most recently was late at night after 10pm we stopped and they had a good crowd inside. I got the fajita tacos and a brisket taco with chips and queso it was all fresh and tasty. I have done breakfast in the past and the breakfast tacos are very good as will. Plus a good price 2 tacos and a drink for a few bucks. The store is clean and the service is pretty good. Another good thing about Taco Cabana when it is late and everything is closed they are a good place to go eat the dining room is opened late. Plus they have beer and margaritas which go good with Mexican food.

Oh man. You place an order you gotta be prepared to wait. Bring a book, catch up on Netflix, if your in school, pull out your math home work and calculator cause it'll be a minute. Even if you're the only customer at 8AM on a Sunday, and there are 15 people working back there and 2 managers and all you ordered was two breakfast tacos...you could probably get a large scale painting done before you get your food.

Second disappointing visit to the Duncanville, Tx location. I was in the drive thru for 30 minutes. Ordered a taco plate, one soft, one crispy, and received 2 soft tacos. Asked for no guac and it was everywhere! When i brought the taco error up, she fixed me a seperate crispy beef taco. When i got home, the taco had no beef and the shell was less than half full with tomatoes and cheese only! The food was cold when i got home and I live less than 3 miles away. I did the survay, and coupon or not, I will NEVER go back to ANY Taco Cabana! The food and service sucked!

This is a great location to stop in with many retail stores & a very comparatively priced gas station that offers awesome rates. But this Cockrell Hill Taco Cabana store always seems to be a bit off on how transactions flow from beginning to end. They are very consistent in their inconsistency. Wonk. Wonk. The staff is very friendly & hard working. In my opinion, there is a lack of thorough training and management support. Hence my 3 star rating. Food here is fresh and delicious. Take it as it is. Convenient decent food.

Taco Cabana is good fast Mexican food. This location was empty when we came so we ordered quickly and our food came out pretty quick. I don't eat meat so the only thing I could eat was the cheese enchilada plate. My daughter had the chicken flautas and she said it was really good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. If you in the area stop by and get you some.

There were several dirty tables that looked like they had been that way a while... maybe not my best Taco Cabana dining experience but since I work in the nearby area I will try them again. I'd prefer TAco Cabana over TAco Bell any day of the week!

My drive-thru order was incomplete and when I informed the manager, Oscar, he curtly informed me that not only would he not refund my debit card but that I would need to drive all the way back to their location for them to make the order correctly. Absolutely terrible and unhelpful. Will not be returning and will be reporting my experience to corporate.

Taco Cabana never makes salad correctly. Today was the best... they gave me a spoon to eat my salad with at the drive through. First, they don't understand that they actually are capable of putting the salad in the bowl without a crispy shell. They don't understand that it can be eaten without the rice and beans. (I am diabetic and don't eat those things.) No matter how much I tell them I would be glad to pay to have guacamole added, they simply can't add guacamole and sour cream to the same salad. Once you go back 15 times and get everything as you asked for it it's actually quite good. But they don't train staff well. They need to add "Salad" to the menu. It's so simple, really. But come on, a SPOON to eat my SALAD with?

Same experience as others. Spent about 10 minutes to order with cars behind me. When they backed up I left too. The other two cars I front of me also backed out. I called the manager (Vanessa) on duty and she didn't give an explanation as to why it was taking so long. Terrible service. Update 3/2/2018: went back against my better judgement and I hoped the issues were a one time thing. Boy was I wrong!! I ended up getting stuck in front 3 cars this time. After the car in the back pulled out the lady in the car behind mine got out of her car and asked the car behind her to let her out. I also left and called the manager. Spoke to some lady as I parked my car and walked inside. I hung up the phone and asked for the manager. A woman was by the register and said she was the general manager...I was almost speechless. How do you allow this to happen?!?! She said they had several cars in the drive thru who order a dozen or more tacos. I mentioned to her I shouldn't have to wait 15 or more minutes for 4 breakfast tacos. I noticed the cooking stations were very dirty. One of the lady's cooking the meat threw out some meat that had burned. Maybe if they were more careful or better trained they wouldn't waste so much product and be able to serve their customers faster. Suggestions for this location: -if you know you get a lot of large orders Friday mornings have more employs work they shift. -if people are waiting for large orders have them pull to the front and park. They do at every other drive thru and walk their order to them when it's ready. -maybe you should just not take large orders in the drive thru!!! Have them park their cars and come inside. Not sure if I'll be back to this location. They management obviously need some training.

We ordered margaritas to-go, only to say that they have margaritas but they are not selling at the moment. This was at 8 p.m. We just decided to get two breakfast tacos, and when they were about to give us the total.. they said they didn't have any eggs? Then what do you have? So disappointing

I have been to several Taco Cabana, and this is our second visit to this one. Located very close to I-30 off Cockrell Hill visit in west side of Dallas. So nice that this place closes at midnight, we have to work late tonight and got here about 11:15 pm. No crowd, just another 3-4 tables of folks here. I had Chicken Fajita Bowl at $5.09, wow, taste pretty good, may be because i was hungry. For 3 of us, bill came to only $20.31, no complain..! Will surely be back again.

EDIT: After my review, management contacted me through yelp and offered a meal coupon. I plan on taking the olive branch and do appreciate that they pay attention to reviews like this. I can't believe I waited 15 minutes in line which was before 10:00 p.m just to get to the speaker at 10:03 p.m saying we're closed. Poor customer service at least finish the people that were in the line and say closed after.

I've should of known better as soon as I saw my order go into the microwave and I still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and once I checked my order, everything was a mess. Lettuce mixed with beans and rice ! They take no care and how they prepare your order. I pulled back through the drive through and the lady never apologized or anything. Gave me my money back and closed the window!! Beware!!

Everything was great except the hot sauce or salsa. There hottest salsa was mild technically. For being a Mexican restaurant I was just a little upset about not having the hottest of the hot. Even the jalapeños are sweet. Lol hopefully that changes soon. Other than that have a great time and great food.

My first Taco Cabana experience and it didn't take many bites to show me this place is way better than Taco Bell and Del Taco. For cheap, fast-food Mexican, this is a great spot. The food is a full notch - or two - above the above mentioned chains when it comes to quality, flavor and service. There's plenty of value here and a good salsa bar to go with it.

I came here several times last summer and it was a horrible wait each time. This summer is a complete 180! We have been here a few times now at different hours in a day and the wait time is so fast. By the time I get my drinks from the fountain station and find a seat, the waiter has my food ready. The food here is great and now I can say, so is the wait time.

37 minute wait in drive through for 4 briquet tacos that had very little meat, tortias were old and hard and saturated with grease. The bottom of the bag was full of grease. Thank goodness I paid with a card - I will be submitting a dispute to get my money back since I did not receive what I paid for.

I was hired here and wasn't paid until I called corporate on this location. They were very disorganized and the back area was dirty. They had old jalapeños in small salsa containers in the office on top of the brochures for employees on a shelve. I've never been back as a customer or employee after witnessing some of the disgusting things that go on in this location. I was hired on the spot and then patronized for applying because I was a recently graduated college student. Why hire someone that you think is not suitable for the job, to begin with? I went to my first shift where the shift manager had no idea that I was even coming in or a new employee. It took them over three hours of me just sitting there waiting and looking like I was sitting there because no one could contact the store manager (Ser. The shift decided to send me to their office and I waited about an hour because no one there knew any of the passwords to the system and then their computer crashed. Then the connection failed and logged me out several times and I had to restart the process about two times. I was yelled at for taking too long. They expected me to go through all the training material on my own and sign off on some forms that said that I had been helped with everything by the shift which was not the case. I was going to be sent on a lunch when the shift manager saw that I did not have the whole uniform on and she berated for it because the uniform items were supposed to be provided by the hiring manager (they were never provided as I had been told that I would receive them on my first day). I was also supposed to be provided with a locker but they didn't and some of my personal belongings were stolen by employees on my first day there. She then asked one of the guys that solely worked in the back to lend me his apron and was told to go to lunch wearing that. She also pointed out that everyone there is Mexican so I should fit in with "those type of people." I went to put in my order and she asked what I was doing and told me to go make my own food. I was now one of them and they didn't have to treat me like a customer. I went to get some food and was told I could only eat the breakfast leftover items which were just warm. I am not a fan of breakfast foods with eggs so I couldn't eat it without adding lots of cheese and salsa to get over the eggy taste. They like to have their employees promote the restaurant too. Later, she told me I would be shadowing her. However, I was set to leave in less than five minutes but she didn't care. I had told the manager I had an appointment and because she didn't let me go when I was originally supposed to go, I missed my appointment, my ride was angry at me, and I was charged at $20 no-show fee. I also found out that about my stolen money and items after I left. I called in because I was having trouble breathing the next day due to my severe asthma at the time but they didn't care. I was then called and told by Sergio (the manager) that Gwen (the shift who berated me) told him that I was told to show up and never did nor called in. I had called both numbers I had for the restaurant and she only answered on of the phones. Apparently, the number I had been called from for my interview was his personal cell phone number. I showed up still sick and they had me start but was yelled at for making wheezing sounds and dismissed for it. They didn't even tell me what my schedule was. I called in and showed up but was ignored by all the staff. Instead of giving me a reason for why they were acting that way, they "let me go" without pay and without telling me. I went in and I was told that they would call law enforcement for showing up without reason and that I had tried to endanger everyone with my sickness. I then took action and called corporate where I was ignored several times and told that they couldn't do anything. I told them that I was going to post this online and did so on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. They didn't believe me until they saw it, Then someone finally contacted me. It turns out that the store had never sent in my information to corporate and they had no idea. I was being told I was lying until I told them to check if the store had paid for my TABC training because I had taken the course, had the username and password to their computer, and there should be surveillance video from those days to prove what I was saying was true. After months of fighting with corporate, they finally paid me and a bit extra. Unfortunately, my check arrived at the store and a very disgruntled shift called me to go pick up my "free undeserving money." I went and the owner had the nerve to ask why I had gone through so much trouble and that I truly didn't deserve to be there. Not all of their food is fresh. Any food that has been under the heating lamps for a while is microwaved. The shift managers were so rude and unwelcoming unlike the rest of the employees that cook and clean.

First let me say that this review is not a reflection of Taco Cabana as a whole. This is about this individual store and it's inability to hire competent people to do their jobs. We have been to this location on numerous occasions. It's always something that irritates us. The order is wrong or the place looks trashed. The staff is mostly younger and playing on their phones with a care less attitude. Today the A/C was messed up, fountain machine didn't work and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Drive through though was being taken care of and a family member of an employee got a huge order before our food came out even though they ordered 20 minutes after us. The food when it's a correct is good but it's just a pain in the butt coming to this location. It is however the closest one to us.

I just moved to Dallas from DC and wanted to try taco cabana for the first time since they arent any in the dc area. Went through the drive thru. Something that could have taken max 5 min. Took over 30 min. The employees didnt even apologize for the wait. I would have left but had cars in front and in back of me. Not a very good first impression.
