The 11 Best Tacos In Miami

"Taco Chido is a weird place with good tacos. The restaurant looks like it was decorated by a high school goth with a passion for estate sales. Tinted windows darken a dining room with retro diner chairs, inverted candelabras hanging from the ceiling, and a back wall with more graffiti scribbles than a popular kid’s yearbook. Our favorite tacos here are al pastor and cochinita pibil—both of which use really good housemade tortillas. Place your order at the touch screen and then enjoy your tacos under the slowly shifting lava lamp colors of the dining room. " - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Tinted windows darken a dining room with retro diner chairs, inverted candelabras hanging from the ceiling, and a back wall with more graffiti scribbles than a popular kid’s yearbook. Went there for lunch with colleagues - must say it was very tasty. The tacos are very small though, I didn't realize based on the photos online, so be aware and order a good quantity of tacos to be full. The best one for me was the Ceviche de Pescado tostada - amazing: crunchy, a kick of spice, fresh and light. They have an outdoor deck which is very nice and spacious. Also very cool eclectic indoor space. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back soon.

Google
The best tacos ever! Decided to stop here while on vacation and it was an amazing choice!! The service was amazing and I loved that they had vegan options! The flavors and taste was very fresh! I got 2 of the El Vegano (black bean and mushroom tacos). They were super filling and delicious. My husband got an order of the fish and brisket tacos. Everything was amazing!

Google
Awesome taco spot, we came for taco Tuesday which lists 4 different tacos for 2$ each super good deal! The rest of the menu is awesome, they were playing great tunes when we came In and the staff was super helpful. Been here a couple of times will keep that going as it’s a great place!

The ordering terminals need some getting used to, but it's quick easy and everyone is friendly. The Food ist tasty. Thank you.

I had such a beautiful time here!!! The gentleman name Hector who greeted us at the door was so helpful. The food was so delicious, I did find out they do not serve sour cream which is really cool in my opinion only because they have something that will stand out plus Hector advise they want us to taste all the flavors and man was he correct... I also had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was such a nice man... thank you Taco Chido for making my night such a beautiful one.

Google
Loved the Vegetarian taco and the Al Pastor taco. Incredible flavor. Handmade chips and fresh guacamole was also delicious. I could eat here all. the. time! Easy self-ordering at kiosk inside and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

Google
There was absolutely nothing to like about this place. I’ve rode past many times and always wanted to try it. Epic fail. 1st the entrance is covered by a brown parachute diaper, why? 2nd the music was NOT the atmosphere for a Latin food spot. 3rd the food took so long to come out I almost asked for a refund. 4th the claim they had one of the best tacos in Miami which was just outright disrespectful! It was bbq sauce on chicken wrapped in a not so great tortilla. The tacos were so depressing and I’m not exaggerating. This place makes Taco Bell seem luxury. I will never return until they get a new food concept or menu. And the chef looks like he’s the owner, and cashier, and food runner, all in one. NO SANITATION, and I observed a lot of cross contamination. They only get 1 star because Google doesn’t allow me to give 0 stars.

Google
They play also of disco music. It just seems odd for a taqueria. Anyway the inside has interesting decorations. The tacos were tasty. I need more servings of vegetables. These had lots of peppers on them. The mixed ceviche was also good. It had a lot of calamari. The prices were also very good. You can get a sizeable meal for cheap here. I do recommend

Yelp
This is the best place to have a quick taco or ceviche! My friend and I stopped by and were thrilled find a place with parking out front. When you enter this spot, it has a couple kiosks for ordering and it's important to know we made it for Tostada Thursday! Fantastic prices for tostadas! Tuesdays also has a $2 taco special but it's important to make sure everything on the order is correct price-wise as there are both regular and special prices. Inside the feel is very retro and old-school. Think The Sylvester but a bit more casual. It's definitely a cool hangout as there is Lotería (super cool latin bingo) and a relaxed, overall chill seating area. It's also Important to note this more of a grab and go spot. You won't have a server but it's a small place so you won't really feel the need to have one. The next time you're craving some good seafood or chill spot to eat, visit Taco Chido!

Yelp
Great spot for your basic $2 tacos on tuesday. The tacos can be hit or miss (although their regular priced tacos are usually better.. ambiance is really the star here. Cute seating oitside on a nice day and inside is a vibe with games and plenty of tables/ space. Orderung is automated and the service is always fast & friendly!

Yelp
Very quiet place. Especially for taco Tuesday. Tacos were good but the meat was a tad dry. Also, the tacos were pretty small with tons of onions and cilantro with minimal meat. Will come back because they are so close to me but they should add more meat to their tacos

Yelp
POOR service! I was there Thursday, Nov 9. I ordered a chicken burrito. The burrito came out. It was literally a rice burrito with with three tiny pieces of chopped chicken. I rarely complain, but it was not edible. Lyna (I believe was her name or something like that), came over to me with a rude attitude and said "so you don't want rice in the burrito?" I said no "I wanted to chicken burrito with chicken in it". I did not want another mixup, so I changed my order to get the fish taco and a shrimp taco, which was cheaper anyways. My food comes out. She just drops it in front of me and walks away. After cutting into it, I asked, which one was which, because they both look the same she tells me the one with the red sauce was shrimp, and the other one was fish. You can't tell from the lighting of this picture, but neither one of them were in a red sauce. They both have the same exact toppings! Either way, it was just fried batter on a tortilla. This was such a waste of money because I didn't eat it. I will not be coming back here again, and I do not suggest others to go there either. Although the food is cheap (for Miami), the quality is even cheaper! Also, they were out of corn and a variety of other things.

Yelp
We walked by one day and saw the adorable Miami mural on the side of the building, and had to come back to try the actual food! We popped in and loved the casual, "divey" feel of Taco Chido. You can order from the touchscreen or from whomever is at the counter. There are plenty of options, which we know since we are plant-based pescatarian. I loved the Hongo (mushrooms) tacos and the baja fish. We also tried the shrimp. It would be amazing if there was a grilled/non-fried fish option - wink, wink. We also tried their wine of the month and saw they had a huge variety of beers and other beverages that aren't alcoholic. My little enjoyed her time here, also, as she could busy herself with games, cards, and dominos and let mom and dad enjoy their wine and some time chatting without being in the mix lol.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night to check out the tacos. The vibe was great with good music and fun lighting. The place had a decent amount of people eating and drinking. It's fast casual so you order at the front, you get a table number and they bring you your food. We ordered an IPA and a glass of wine, great selection of beers btw! Next we got some refried beans with chips to start and some tacos. We got the shrimp, chicken w/ cheese and steak w/ cheese tacos. They come 1 per order so we order a couple of each. Before we knew it the good came and I have to say I really enjoyed my steak tacos the most! My partner liked the shrimp and chicken ones but I was hooked on mine. We even ordered a couple more! Def a good vibe and good tacos! Check it out next time you're in Wynwood!

Yelp
Such a great spot for good eats! We were looking for a vegan friendly taco spot that would also satisfy the meat eaters in the group. We were driving around randomly and found this place! They had a great selection of tacos, from fish to chicken to beef; it seemed like they had it all! They also had a decent selection of vegan friendly options that weren't the standard "impossible burger" which seems to be the common vegan dish in most restaurants. They also had tostadas and fresh ceviche. We ordered the shrimp and fish tacos and a ceviche tostada. I recommend the ceviche or ceviche tostada, both were fire! Also, I loved the shrimp tacos, they mayo sauce they add on top were just *chef's kiss*. My sister and her friend enjoyed the vegan options, they wanted to try the vegan empanadas but unfortunately they were sold out. Also note that there is a parking lot on the premise and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This place was such a cool spot to find and in a great location! I highly recommend stopping here!

Yelp
Not impressive. From the ordering process to the "sauce bar" and nearly everything in between, not impressive. The tacos themselves were tasty. However, they use the smallest soft taco shells available, and for the cost per taco, there are so many better places in the area to spend your money. The ordering process is very impersonal, you order at a kiosk, and there's no one there to ask questions regarding the ordering or what may or may not be available that night (i.e., they had chips but no guacamole, each of which you ordered separately) The kiosk defaults to a tip, but are we tipping the kiosk since there's no one other than a food runner helping you??? We were brought out a bowl of chips (sans Guac since they were apparently out of it) and they were greasy and overcooked (not quite burned, but pretty darn close). The sauce bar had a choice of 2 salsas, a green and a dark red, a bottle of taco sauce that no one seems to wipe off (ever), and a few other things like roasted chili peppers and something else (maybe jicama) that I didn't know what it was (not labeled). The only thing that saved the experience was that the tacos themselves were flavorful. However, after ordering 3 of these tacos and only having a few chips, I left hungry and made myself something to eat when I got home. It's too bad because their tacos were tasty (just too small for the price), their location is convenient, has several parking spots and their atmosphere was pretty okay. Impersonal, nearly non-existent service, so-so salsas, and $$$-to-taco ratio was no-bueno, and I have to say that I think that was my one and only time visiting. My taco dollars are better spent elsewhere.

Yelp
Waited 40 minutes for a Burrito and there were only 10 people in the restaurant. They basically said, "that's the way it is" and made us feel bad for complaining for waiting40 minutes for a burrito. Terrible customer service. Don't come hungry. Here, you are a customer, not a guest. Zero excuses. And the food, when it did come, was salty AF! We live in the neighborhood and we'll never come here again. Not Chido!

Yelp
Service isn't their strength. Staff seems confused and not well trained. For example, nobody knew the wifi password not send seemed too friendly nor eager to help with that or actually ordering out food. They use an automated ordering system with no great descriptions of the food itself. When food comes out the servers seem very confused and ask everyone if it's theirs, most cases it wasn't and belonged to another table. Onto the food itself: My first item, the Ceviche tostada, came soggy & swimming in liquid in the plate. Why? Strain it first before plating. Chicken tinga taco was tasty but missing deep rich stew flavors i had in Mexico. Everyone else commented that their food was decent but not good enough to want to come back. Miami seems to really struggle to deliver great Mexican food & so my search continues! The food itself was

Yelp
This place is kind of like a taco dive bar, which sounds cool in theory. The restaurant is dark and dreary, but surprisingly clean. The food didn't seem very fresh. We order the bbq taco, the chicharrón with Chile mole sauce, shrimp taco, Baja fish and Al pastor. The bbq taco was solid the rest were nasty. The veggies on the taco did not seem fresh, the fish tacos tasted more like batter than fish, the Al pastor had great flavor, but was dry as cardboard.

Yelp
Can't believe I've been sleeping on this place. It's so good I come at least once a week. My go to tacos are the steak and cheese and the shrimp tacos. Small but both pack a good amount of meat. The churros are worth getting if you have a sweet tooth. They are 3 big ones cut into 2 so you get 6 pieces. They also sell wine and beer. Marie, the cashier always makes my visit a pleasure

Yelp
Great tacos but literally slowest service ever. 40 Minutes for a few tacos and the place is near empty. They move at a snails pace and couldn't care less about it. Must not want return customers.

Yelp
We loved our food and the atmosphere! Great place! We will definitely come back! We loved our food and the atmosphere! Great place! We will definitely come back!

Yelp
Fine tacos but awful service. Waited 45 minutes for one burrito and there was 5 people in the restaurant... ?

Yelp
A good authentic taqueria should have a little bit of an edge to it..the kind of vibe where anyone overly bougie would feel hesitant to walk in (like Brandi Webb when Darnell Wright took her to that fried fish place). But trust me, you want to take the risk. Yes, I have my high end dress up mexican place but Taco Chido hits the spot. Located just away from fully gentrified Wynwood, I found this spot on the way after nearby shopping and before heading to the full moon party. There's a small parking lot, little lighting and the dim lighting continues inside with a good spread of street art. Their menu focuses on street tacos and apps. I didn't see burritos or fajitas, though I did see they offer churros. Hungry from a full day of running around, I ordered some of everything: chicken tacos with cheese, tacos al pastor, refried black beans and pico de gallo. They get a plus for having black beans instead of red (and really flavorful), plus their pico de gallo has a good bit of spice to it. Speaking of heat, they also bring a couple of hot sauce bottles to the table and they are CALIENTE! While both tacos were tasty, the al pastor ones were my favorite. I love the fresh pineapple slice, and it tasted a little more seasoned than the chicken one.

Yelp
Tacos Tacos Tacos, There are so many choices in South Florida, there is no need to eat anything that you can't tell whether or not it's beef or something else. Here in the Miami Metro, there are tacos and then there are Tacos, all claiming to be authentic. But Taco Chido ranks near the top of the list. First, I must tell you these are not the tacos you get from the Bell. These are not the tacos you ate in the high school cafeteria, (unless you went to high school near the border or down Mexico way) nor are these that thing you get from the King of Burgers! These tacos are very ( according to my taste buds and my Mexicana Amiga) very close to authentic Mexican Tacos. Chido has a really good but simple menu. It's in seven sections: Miami Bites (empanadas, chicharrón) Sopas (consomé de pollo con arroz) Botana (elotes, guacamole, chips) Del Mar (ceviche) Tostadas (ceviche, tinga) Tacos sold three or four to and order. Tacos BBQ (it says best in town and I believe it) full of savory flavor with a very slight sweetness. Grilled chicken with or without queso. Of course there's The Lengua Tacos (tongue) have a beefy, beefy flavor and they are tender as a Mother's Love. There are also a couple of vegan/vegetarian options. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The beverage selection is good, weather it's Cerveza or something else that you want to quench your thirst, I don't think you'll have trouble finding something to pair with your food. disfruta tu comida

Yelp
No frills taco joint in Wynwood. Been here several times already. The free parking spaces in front are a plus and they're open late every day until 12 and 2am on weekends. I always get the 3 taco plate called El Chabocho Con Queso which are steak tacos with green pepper, onion, bacon and melted cheese on soft tacos. They're so much cheese and meat that I always make a mess while eating...lol :) Its so worth it and only $9.75. You can also order a la carte which is about $3.25 for each taco. Super affordable. They also have ceviches in different styles and sizes. I like the Ceviche de Pescado Tostada for $4.95. It's a 3 biter tostada topped with fresh fish. Flavorful too. I'm a fan of this place. It's not as crazy as Coyo but the tacos here are legit. There's plenty of seating and the service is good. I think the owners were the ones behind the counter whenever I came. They're super nice.

Yelp
i cannot take it anymore when it comes to this place. A couple months ago i discovered this place and was amazed with how good and how consistent it was. I raved about it. I brought so many friends and coworkers here. Eventually around my 8th time going i noticed it was 12 a clock in the afternoon, they didn't have guacamole or corn.... Then one of my friends went a month after that experience and complained they were missing steak, guac AND cAND CHICKEN, around 3 pm... I tried to give it a break for the past two months and then came back hoping it had improved. i came around 8 pm and they had everything. I was so pleased. The. i come today, a week after with a friend and guess what. No steak and no chicken at 6 pm... i just can't do it anymore. Whoever is ordering the stuff for this store needs to do better. You're loosing customers that don't even want to be lost....

Yelp
The food was great. The place is small and it doesn't seem like much but you can find some authentic flavors here. The service was good and the lady behind the register was pretty helpful with recommendations. The street corn was delicious and I loved the shrimp tacos (not totally authentic but pretty delicious). The tacos Al pastor were really good too.

Yelp
Happy 5 De Mayo! We loved trying this amazing new gem in town! Fresh made tacos daily in the kitchen, making it an AUTHENTIC Mexican taqueria with the most flavorful tacos we've had in a while. The menu is made up of a large selection of items to try. Tacos are filling yet enough to allow you to enjoy others. The ceviche tostada was one of our favorite items! Crunchy tostada topped with fresh white fish ceviche, juicy with the perfect amount of onions! The ambiance in the place is truly amazing! A lot of art on the walls with bright colors, there's funny quotes, low lighting and the chairs and tables are all different. It is a perfect hangout spot during the day if you need to get out of the office and bring your laptop as well as a great spot at night to hang out with friends! STAY TUNED FOR A GRAND OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT

Yelp
I would give this place a 3.5 stars if I could. The food was good and so was the service. I went on a Friday night and it was kind of dead. On the outside looks a little sketchy but it's better once you're inside lol. Everything was tasty. I do feel like the tacos are on the small side for $3.75 each especially since they don't come with any toppings but overall, it was good. Parking is kind of limited but there are spots in front.

Yelp
Meh. Not bad, but not particularly good, either. My wife and I agreed that we would eat there again if we didn't have much choice, but wouldn't go out of our way to return. It feels like a dive bar, so nothing really seemed clean. That said, I had two decent tacos and my wife's quesadilla was good. The fundido with chips was so greasy I had to wash my hands before getting back in the e car. Service was prompt and friendly, and prices were reasonable.

Amanda E.

Yelp
Tacos were excellent! Everything was so flavorful and delicious! We loved everything about this place!

Bianca M.

Yelp
I love this place. Tbh this is the best taco place in Miami. Everything is good. They also offer drinks. And are open late. I always get chicken tacos those are my favorite
google avatar

Yelp
The place is nice and for wynwood area to have a parking space is a treat. I love the vibe inside or outside. Had queso fundido and a tostada de pollo tinga and an horchata.. the queso fundido saved the night it was very very good, the tostada was soo little that I was even embarrassed to take a photo. It was tasty but it should be call mini tostadas it is way too small for the price. The horchata mmm it tasted like the powdered and that's not good, there is nothing worst than tasting the powered on the horchata which is not fresh. I would only come back here because of the vibe of the place and maybe try the tacos to see if they are good.

Yelp
I loved everything about Taco chida . The vibe is very nice and the vegan tacos are a must have . Good place for friends to hang out.

Yelp
Same place, new management, spoke with management last night and they are working to improve various elements of their products and service. My son frequents this place and picked out some his favorites. While on-site had ceviche dish, nice natural lime bite flavoring. Also had their barbecue taco that was good and tender. Finished off two El chabocho with queso and called it a night. Service was good, food service came quickly. People friendly. I would go back again.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
LOVED the chips and beans. Tacos also very good, three was the perfect amount for me but they are small. Hole in the wall feel but sort of Midtown prices. But not mad at it! I tried the ceviche tostada and loved that as well - Comfortable little outdoor area! I'll return and make this one a routine.

Sam P.

Yelp
This is my favorite neighborhood taco spot! Make sure you try their homemade Taco Chido which is my favorite. They have some great quesadillas as well and their Ceviche selection is solid. I always make sure to bring all my miami visitors to this spot as you will need a place like this in your arsenal. Oh and don't forget their Taco Tuesday!!! Some of their best tacos for as low as $2.
google avatar

Yelp
AS A VEGAN I really appreciate places that customize their main dishes to accommodate vegans. We get to taste their signature tacos without the meat, and also we don't get only one option, we have several ways of enjoying their delicious tacos: the ones I got were the soyrizo, which is a ground beef base, and the mushroom one, which is sautéed with condiments, both really good. They also have vegan empanadas but they run out of them today. They can prepare with the vegan options all the menu in general, the tostadas, and all the other options. The general vibe of the place is bohemian, with mixed furniture, a super chill vibe. They have an outside patio too. Will come back for more, those were really OG tacos and extremely tasty!!

Yelp
Come here for the tacos and that's it. It was my first time and I always over order when I'm hungry. I ordered 3 different tacos--fish, steak, and chorizo and steak--elote, and guacamole and chips (yeah, I know). The tacos themselves were great and had an amazing fresh lime flavor and lots of fresh cilantro. The guacamole was underseasoned and under mixed. Whoever made it could care less. There were large chunks of unripened avocado. Not a morsel of salt, pepper, nothing. Was literally some mashed up avocado, cilantro, tomato and a sprinkle of chopped onions. It's a shame because they're served with home made pita chips (also unsalted). NOT WORTH THE $6. The elote was nasty too. I think they forgot to lather it in Mayo before adding the cojita cheese. There was also not much lime added. It tasted like an over cooked ear of corn rubbed with cojita cheese. Again, not worth the money. Come for the tacos but leave the sides. I would've been better off making my own guac and saving $4!

Brian F.

Yelp
This place is so out. New owners don't give a flying f*^%. All of our food came out cold. I asked for my food and alll they could say is do you want a refund when all I wanted was to eat dinner. New owners should sell or save us all the pain and close the place.

Yelp
Dosen't look like much on the outside but on the inside it has that vintage vibe. Tables and chairs look like antiques. The bathroom even reminds me of the old school grandmas that have a little decorative table with dried flowers and a photo. Weird I know, but thats one detail that will stay in my mind for a long time. The taco prices aren't too pricey and they're the only taco spot I know besides the ones in homestead. The tacos were good but my favorite was the ceviche tostada it was filled completly and was tasty. The Bbq taco I didnt care too much for and the al pastor tacos hit the spot. Worth a try if your in the area.

Yelp
Popped in here for a late dinner at this family restaurant. There was 3 of them and they got bum rushed at some point. So ordering was fast, but waiting for the food was long, but I understand that mostly everything is made FRESH! We were not disappointed. Worth the wait. We had the Pastor tacos, Steak tacos, Chicken tacos and the seafood ceviche tostados. None of it disappointed. The sauces to put on them were sooo good too. Definitely stop there for authentic tacos!

Yelp
Bestttt tacoooosssd everrr! I cant beleve how good these tacos are my family are impressed and comming back! Recommend eating here 100%

Yelp
Here's the scoop... they carry most of their menu items on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and their menu is limited on any other day. The shredded pork taco was seasoned very good and their queso fundido was delicious! Ps: don't ask for sour cream or cheese on the tacos, it's offensive to Mexican ancestors -- this place is authentic

Shantell H.

Yelp
After trying to schedule my pick up order twice yesterday and today they both got canceled despite the scheduling being within opening hours. I decided I would just walk in. This was around 12:30 so about 30 minutes into opening. I told the associate the issue I was having and she proceed to help me put my order in the kiosk. She was moving really fast and as im asking questions she's just shrugging them off in a way. I look at my receipt and realized she had added a tip without even asking if I wanted to give a tip?! I don't mind tipping but doing it in that manner is very distasteful. After waiting for me food for a short while I grab my order and go on my way. My lunch break is only so long and I was very disappointed to see that the fish I received in my baja fish taco was old as hell!! As if it was from the day before . I cannot believe they had the confidence to give someone such poor quality food. I had no time to go back and get this correction. This is ridiculous and I feel disrespected as I was tested with both the service and the food. I will not be back

Yelp
Stopped in here last night with friends and WOW are we glad that we live across the street! Super eclectic place with a huge taco menu. We had chips and pico and a number of tacos including the al pastor, the vegano, and the poblano. The pico was a particular standout and was super limey and well seasoned. All of the tacos were delicious and we were particularly impressed with the wide variety of vegetarian options (definitely try the vegano taco!). It was super reasonably priced and the service was great- we even ordered more tacos after we ate because we couldn't help ourselves. We will definitely be coming here far too often.

Yelp
Who loves tacos? Better yet, who doesn't?! Taco chido is located in wynwood (so if you're hungry before or after partying you have your go-to) and I was really impressed by their options! My absolute favorite was the ceviche tostada... guys, de-li-cloud! They have some line or sour cream or aioli sauce that gives it the yummiest kick. I also really enjoyed their shrimp tacos, it was probably close to my favorite. It had so many flavors and that crunch at the first bite -- who doesn't love that?! They are starting to incorporate some interaction between the customers and the bizzzz so you can write s little message on their wall (yes sharpie people) and i loved that! They're still getting known so i think ideas like this give it their own little special touch! I recommend if you've never been! Their churros are also a must ... 10/10 @ladietacomienzamanana

Yelp
Mediocre tacos with good but really slow service. Wouldn't come again. Worst was queso fundido and the best was cochinita pibil. Also they ran out of Al pastor. 2 chido, 1 cochinita, 1 queso fundido and 1 chuleta con queso and one diet Coke was $34 w tip.

Yelp
Tacos are around $3.5 each.. Taco Chido BBQ was my favorite, Steak and cheese was really good too! Rajas con crema taco was super yummie! The tortillas are hand made here and you can taste they are fresh. The tacos are completely filled so you can taste all the ingredients. Cochinta was good too. They gave us some churros they made right there, super good

Yelp
The food and place was clean, a bit overpriced but everyone has to pay rent. The tacos I had were good and well put together , however they were missing a bit of Mexican authenticity. Fail on the Horchata, way water down or just didn't shake it before pouring.

Yelp
Hard to find good Mexican marisco plates in Miami, but at Taco Chido they definitely nailed it with the ceviche tostadas! This will be one of my mandatory stops at least once a week!
