"Located in a nondescript shopping center near PGA Boulevard on Military Trail, this neighborhood taco shop serves tacos worth the drive from anywhere in Palm Beach County. Highlights include shredded chicken, braised beef, and steak tacos. For those looking to go the extra mile, Mexican street corn served off the cob, and churros for dessert are must-tries. While only one table is inside, ample outdoor seating is typically available." - J. Miller

"Peter Tapia and Dahiana Lainfiesta and their father, Pedro Tapia, opened a taco shop in early 2017 in a Palm Beach Gardens shopping plaza. The menu features tacos, burritos, quesadillas, gorditas, and tamales. The barbacoa tacos are a standout while the Mexican street corn served off the cob is a must-try." - J. Miller

Google
I was on a work trip and found this place to eat some food near my hotel. I am vegetarian, so I was able to find a lot of great options and the food was fantastic. It was a self-serve ordering System, grab a v shaped number tent and sit down at a table outside on patio. A server brings out food with the corresponding number. Not a bad wait and the food was hot and made really well. I enjoyed it and would go again.

Google
I had carne asada tacos and churros. The tacos were good, but I have to say the churros are much better. The size and portions of the tacos are good, same with the churros. They only have two type of salsas for the tacos. I wish they can offer a spicier option.

Google
nice looking pizza but too much cheese for our taste. This is more of a take away restaurant, there's a few tables outside in the walkway, but it's dirty.

Google
Food is ok, It’s almost like real Mexican street food. But the chips are rock hard and prices are a little steep. Service is ok, but there is a disconnect with customer service as the ordering counter feels isolated and barren of human existence until one of the silent robots come out. Atmosphere is gringo Mexican surfer dude bros and a robotic like ordering service. And there’s a stench of sewage when the sprinklers are on. This place is ok but not 💯 for me. It’s a little over half way there. Tacos and other options are ok but it’s a little pricey and the tortillas seriously have a major issue. Btw… Watch the chips!! My wife poked a hole into gums from the shards of hard maize. Like glass!

Google
Taco Chula is a gem! The tacos are flavorful and fresh, with standout options like the al pastor! The cute outdoor seating, adorned with lights and vibrant decor, makes for a cozy, inviting vibe. Great food, great atmosphere—perfect for taco lovers!

Samantha Wendt

Google
Thank you Sam for recommending your families restaurant! The food was Amazing! We will definitely be.coming back and recommending this spot to everyone!!!

Jose Picon

Google
Not too shabby taco chula! Chips and guac were fire! I got the chicken tacos and my wife got the sweet plantains and the veggie tacos! Thanks for having those options! The place has a really good vibe and everyone was really enjoying their food! Keep up the great work!

Google
Food quality was great, however the flavor just wasn't there. Tortilla itself was a 10/10. It was good- I'd eat there in a pinch, but just not worth the higher price and one staff member was very off putting so not somewhere I'd be excited to go grab food.

Kyle K.

Yelp
I NEVER write reviews, regardless of how good or bad the food is, but after years of going to taco chula I gotta say it's always on point and so good. every single time. wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars!

Yelp
What a great find! These were some of the best tacos we've had in Florida. We visited from Orlando and this was conveniently walking distance from our hotel. The atmosphere is instagram-worthy aesthetic. Lots of greenery, cute decorations, but all outside seating. They had fans running so it helped with the humidity. Free water stations located throughout the patio/sidewalk area. When you walk-in to the store, you can either order through one of the tablets or with a cashier. We ordered through a tablet and the food came relatively quick. We tried their chicken, carnitas and carne asada tacos along with their chips and guac. The chips were so good!! You can tell it's made fresh in-house, same with the guac and corn tortillas. Also, the tacos have a double layer of tortillas which I always appreciate as it prevents the tortillas from ripping and the tacos from falling apart quickly. If we're ever back in the area, we would definitely return! There's so much more on the menu we want to try.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here today. The food was quality and the ordering process was really smooth. Everything done electronically and with a number at your table. Staff is there to help if you need it. I will definitely be back!

Stacy B.

Yelp
Food = Good & fresh. Service = For a counter + "number on your table" restaurant, it's fine. Tables are clean. Trash is changed regularly. Utensils station always looks stocks. Ambiance = Artist. Casual. Cool. All seating is in a covered open walkway of an old South Florida shopping plaza. Small tables for 2, and narrow bar with stools. It's super cute! We love the vibe!

Jen H.

Yelp
Authentic, simple, and simply delicious! We tried the chips with salsa and guac, steak and chicken tacos. They offer outside seating set up in a cute manner to deter away from the parking lot. You may take your choice at infused water, the strawberry/kiwi is yummmmmmyyy! Staff is friendly and helpful, will definitely come back!

Robyn C.

Yelp
Hands down the best I've ever had!!!! Real Mexican crema de fresca, fresh and hot everything. Most of all they are the only ones I know that execute and present the GORDITA properly!!! Please try this place if you haven't already. You won't be dissatisfied.

Ryan F.

Yelp
Excellent laid back Taco joint. Fun outdoor-only seating, gets toasty hot though. Unpretentious and delicious!

Randi F.

Yelp
The food has always been a 10/10 for me!! To be fair, I have only ever gotten food to go, so I can't speak to ambiance. I think it is known more as a to-go spot, and pretty small inside. I always place the order over the phone and they let me know a time to pick it up, always within 20 mins or so. Parking is easy and free. Now on to the food! Their carne asada burrito is to die for!! Rice, beans, cheese, steak, cilantro, the green sauce they pair it with is perfect! The steak is cut up small so you don't get any chewy texture which is nice. Their pork flautas are also awesome, covered with Guac, cilantro and crema. Perfectly crispy. The Guac is simple but delicious. The chips are a little thick for my taste but the flavors in the food make up for that in my opinion. The churros are the perfect texture!! The caramel sauce is amazing I need to ask for extra next time! It also comes with chocolate sauce that reminds me of Hershey's syrup.

Yelp
Came across this gem in passing which was crazy bc it's literally in the back corner of the shopping center. It smelt amazing when entering. We reviewed the menu and Everything had very reasonable prices plus there was a lot of variety. The cashier explained everything we had questions on. The workers were very pleasant. We ended up getting 5 different tacos. They only come with cilantro and onions so you have to request your other toppings if you want them. The pork asada was great and very flavorful. My husband wasn't to fond of the corn tortillas due to them breaking as he picked them up and he didn't like how his tacos looked thrown together. We also ordered guac, but they gave us salsa instead which we noticed when we got home. I got the Gordita and i felt like it melted in my mouth honestly lol it was delicious The was seating but it was only outside and very limited/small (sits 2). It was very hot out so we took it all togo.

John M.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a few Mexicans and i have to say their food is excellent and very authentic. It's not a sit down restaurant but they do have some seating indoors and outside. And i believe they opened a gelato place right next door. Another piece of heaven in Palm Beach Gardens.

Christina D.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Their barbacoa Gordita was delicious, served between two arepas and stuffed with meat! Tamale was huge but I prefer the Gordita. The churros were good but the dolce leche sauce made them perfect! Not only was the food good but it's such a cute spot to eat at (outdoor seating only)!!

SamKat P.

Yelp
We live about an hour south of Taco Chula. In the Miami area, tacos are EXPENSIVE. You get tiny tacos for a ridiculous price. Taco Chula was a pleasant surprise! I couldn't believe the amount of meat on each taco. It was a great deal, and the tacos are delicious!!! The chicken and al pastor were my favorite. The al pastor is a bit spicy, but really good! The chicken was nice and juicy. The little outdoor eating area here is also really cute, not what you'd expect from a strip mall. Look forward to visiting again!

Nicole P.

Yelp
This place is great! Food is quick and fresh, outdoor seating. The barbacoa Gordita was good and very filling.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Great food have been multiple times the tacos are great, flautas and burritos were all spectacular. Oder at the counter and some small tables to eat outside. I really enjoy this place.

Doug F.

Yelp
One thing I do, is eat a LOT of Mexican food, and this place disappointed me. The positives: Selection, quantity of chips, and Mexican Coke. The negatives: the prices for what you get. $14 for a tiny burrito! I couldn't believe it! Oh well, maybe I'm just poor compared to the average customer, but having lived all around the country and eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants, I am fair in sharing my experiences.

Craig R.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times, every time was satisfactory. Tacos are authentic and tasty, pro tip: add grilled onions. Yelp suggested the Gordita and now it's my new favorite from this spot. The cherry on top was the plantains, hot and fresh. Ordered from the self serve kiosk, quick and easy. Staff were all helpful and friendly. There is outside seating only so be aware of the weather. Also dog friendly so don't be surprised when you see the pups

Brian B.

Yelp
Tried both the carne asada and the barbacoa. The carne asada was cut into dime size pieces, was lean, and bursting with flavor. The barbacoa was not as flavorful, but braised until incredibly tender. Both were excellent. Some of the menu pictures have outdated prices but quite a bit. Still, dinner for 4 was around $50 and worth every dime. The complimentary chips that came with the burritos weren't very good, but were not designed as the star of the show. The salsa verde was our preferred hot sauce and it ended up on everything. Looks like they are opening an ice cream shop in the adjacent storefront so look for that. Takeout counter service with lots of outside seating in a covered area with a nice cool breeze. We really enjoyed dining in a perfect and scenic area.

Billy N.

Yelp
Gets better every time I visit! The carne asada burrito is the bomb. Staff is super friendly.

John S.

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've had down here so far. Tried a few other places, a few other food trucks, this is the best Mexican food within 30 minutes from me. The Braised Beef Tacos were ridiculous. Their Steak Burrito is incredible. Quesadillas and Burritos made with pulled Chicken. Fresh ingredients, excellent service. Looks like they're just pumping out food all day. Exactly the kind of small spot that makes great food that you're pretty much looking for everywhere you go.

Janelle K.

Yelp
WOW! If you're looking for a quick spot to grab a delicious Mexican bite come to Chula Taco! I went TWICE for lunch in two days because that Guac is seriously unmatched! If you're in the mood for a happy dance after a bite RUN and get the Guacamole I cannot stress this enough 10/10! The Carne Asado tacos were AMAZING ...just onions, meat and cilantro and I added lime which is my preference of eating a taco...basics are where you know the quality is. The Chicken Burrito is an excellent choice as well. Will definitely be staple in my lunch routine...AGAIN GET THE GUACAMOLE!!!

Sheila J.

Yelp
Savor the wait. Your food is being made with the freshest ingredients and care! Great food, adorable little pull up bar to grab a bite and perfect for to go orders. Great quality !

Ashley V.

Yelp
Never disappoints...runs like a well oiled machine. Food is on point every single time...Always a pleasure to visit and be grateful that this gem is just around the corner. Kudos to the staff. So thankful for your positivity and stellar customer service!!!

Andrew W.

Yelp
Home of Taco Tuesday .. my first time here .. ordered 3 different flavored tacos and rice & beans. My wife & I were very happy with the great flavor & quality of the tacos .. the rice & beans were also very flavorful. Will be coming back for much more in the future.

Amanda D.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint the craving that my husband and I had for tacos. Carne Asada 7/10 - the meat was a bit on the dry side and wasn't bursting with much flavor, the salsa verde gave it the perfect flavor that it was missing Al Pastor 3/10 - the meat was soooo dry and the flavor was not there. Barbacoa 8/10 - bursting with flavor. Cooked to perfection Carnitas 9/10 - what a flavorful taco. This one was our favorite. The meat was very proportional for each taco The chips and guacamole was delicious as well. We will definitely be back to try other tacos.

Jill M.

Yelp
Service was great! Friendly. Pretty simple straight to the point. The atmosphere was casual but lively enough for a neighborhood taco spot. It was nice to see families sitting outside having dinner. My two tacos, Carnitas and cardio soda were delicious! A little dryer than I expected but very tasty. The sauces that they offer is a green sauce and a red sauce. The red sauce was my favorite, nice and spicy!! Of course when I got home, I added more spicy stuff to it, all in all, I'm glad this place is in my pseudo-backyard. I will definitely be coming here again!

Malone M.

Yelp
Great food, I think the service could be a bit better...but it is a counter-service place, so you can't expect too much I suppose. Loved the Horchata and refried beans. There's NO bathroom, so you gotta go before you get there. I'd go back again.

Amber H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go. The portions are generous and the sauces on the side are delicious. I love the quesadillas, they come with a side of house made chips. They offer ice cold water infused with oranges that is self serve. I just wish they were open on Monday's because that's when I'm usually in palm beach.

Sebastian S.

Yelp
Always delicious! They never fail to fulfill whatever im craving, plus great service!

Pris V.

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review! I have been here countless number of times and every time I am blown away. This is my favorite go-to Mexican spot in the area. Every time we have been here we have not been disappointed and the food is just as delicious as the last. They definitely keep it consistent. This is your classic hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great service and authentic food. For ambiance, there is limited indoor seating but plenty outdoor seating in a shaded area. This is more of a fast-food/casual dining spot. For food, our favorites are the carne asada burrito, guacamole and chips, chicken tamales, and you have to end with a churro. The churro is the best I've had in Florida and are made fresh to order. You won't be disappointed! This quaint little spot has even been featured as one of the top 3 taco spots in Palm Beach County - check out my photos.

Chris W.

Yelp
I love going to Taco Chula whenever I come to the area for work. It is one of my go to places in the area.

Mike M.

Yelp
This is a very good taco shop Tucktaway in a small plaza just south of PGA on military Trail. It's almost a treasure waiting to be found. As you walk up to this place you think wow it's a teeny little takeout mostly restaurant with about five or six tables outside on the breezeway of the plaza. I ordered a Chalupa and my guest ordered a burrito. Both items came out fairly quickly and they deliver them to your table or they call your name. All of the orders come with chips and salsa as a side and they have wide selection of drinks. They also have a salsa bar and would you pick out the type of salsa you would like with your meal. To say the least, the food was delicious, and the place is packed at least at lunchtime. If you get there before 12 or not going to have a problem but if you get there at 12:30 you're gonna have to wait in line. Several people found in orders and that seem to be a good way to do it. You will be surprised at how good the food is.

Joseph C.

Yelp
Great food and service, haven't been disappointed yet when ordering. Still have menu items I want to try but overall food is fresh and tastes amazing. Also cheaper than Rocco's and tastes better too.

Megan A.

Yelp
I love this place! Went when it was raining to pick up my to go order and their hanging plants prevented any rain from getting in and also created such a beautiful magical space! Great place to take a date, work lunch, or pick up dinner for the family! Yummy yummy food! I always get a big guac and eat it over a couple days! Great service always!!

Bob C.

Yelp
Go find this gem. It's a bit buried in the building and parking lot but worth the effort. The menu has a large selection that I think anyone will find something you like. I don't have a favorite yet because every time I visit I must try something new. So far every dish has been great: flavors are rich, portions are excellent, and the service is quite good. There's not a lot of space inside so we usually eat outside which is covered, they have some fans, so it's always pretty comfortable.

genny s.

Yelp
Very delicious tacos and can mix & match the three taco option. The tacos did not come with their fresh homemade tortilla chips. However being our first time there we didn't realize the steak burrito plate comes with chips and so did the steak quesadilla, so purchasing the chips and salsa was not a necessary extra. The pico salsa was truly bomb however was way too small! I will be back for their tacos and steak burrito!! We noticed they do a huge volume of to go orders. It's just a taco shop hole in the all sort of vibe, but delicious!

Lou A.

Yelp
I was formerly a big fan of Chipotle but they have made a mess of their franchise and I can no longer patronize that chain. I was looking for an alternative Mexican casual takeout restaurant and the reviews were so good I gave it a try. My first visit (yesterday) I had a chicken Gordita taken out. It was very flavorful. I believe it was my first authentic Gordita. I found the chicken a little dry, it was shredded but I think this is common in how it is traditionally prepared, please correct me if I'm mistaken. Today I had two carnitas (pork) tamales with a side of rice and beans. I also believe this was my first authentic tamale dish and it was very good. Very flavorful especially the beans over the rice. Again, I found the shredded pork dry. But the tamales were wrapped in corn husks with string wound around each side to hold it together. The accompanying red sauce as excellent and really punched up the meal. I'm going to keep trying different variations to see what my favorite dishes are. The seating is outside under the open hallway of the building complex. It's a nice setup but I can see it can get crowded.

Corey C.

Yelp
This little gem sits on the corner of an old strip center. If someone hadn't pointed it out to me I would have completely missed it. The burritos are stuffed with all the yummies. I prefer them to the tacos, which taste underwhelming. The plantains are delicious but have crème and cotija cheese sprinkled about. Not everyone at the table cared for them. The guacamole is creamy and fresh, definitely homemade. Get there early to grab a table as seating is limited.

Luis C.

Yelp
I had been setting up an event at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach and was in the mood for some Mexican cuisine. I saw Taco Chula and it wasn't that far so I took a chance. Let me tell you....... I'm now a fan and Wow is all can say about this place. Super friendly staff, great authentic Mexican selection of awesomeness and the place was packed on a Thursday night. I'm from Miami but for work as a lighting technician travel daily to different locations throughout the state and try different restaurants along the way . This place is a 10 and what is even better is that it's family owned and operated. Congratulations Taco Chula.

George C.

Yelp
Taco chula is delicious everytime I go. Only reason I'd place it as a four star would just be cost, it's very expensive considering what you get and compared to other Hispanic food places around but it's always good and that's why I frequent it. A meal will run you around 15-20$ which nowadays isn't crazy but compared to other places serving the same i don't truly understand the price.

Sue P.

Yelp
Food was excellent. The owner was not willing to accept a Gift certificate we won as it was 2 weeks and we were unable to go earlier as it was bad weather. But the food issue is very good. ]

Melissa F.

Yelp
We ended up here because Roccos tacos was packed and we were starving. I want to start off by saying that going to Rocco's for us is mostly about the experience and not necessarily the authenticity of the food. Taco Chula though....a whole different level. The restaurant itself is small and there currently isn't any seating. I believe they may have removed the chairs due to covid so we just stood and ate on the outdoor tables. My friend ordered the horchata, it was absolutely delicious and I had a Jarrito, which you can never go wrong with. For my tacos I had a chorizo, carne asada and al pastor. They were perfect!

Yoandra A.

Yelp
The food is good but Make me really mad when we order something and when you pick up this something else Today I order 4 tacos 2 Al pastor 2 carnitas Guess what my son get home with the order was 4 Al pastor ,,, Really spicy so , nothing you can do because you don't want to Go back, right?

Courtney R.

Yelp
Quick and easy taco place! Plenty of parking and relatively quick. Their tacos are authentic, flavorful, and not loaded with alot of extra stuff. I have only tried their tacos, chips and guacamole which have all been great. One tip is to check your order before leaving multiple times we have gotten home with missing items.

Rick T.

Yelp
Great Chicken Burrito! You'll love the chips and salsa too...It's a little runny, but tastes great! I heard from the table next to me the Chicken Quesadilla was excellent as well!

Brenda D.

Yelp
This place has the best tacos, burritos, basically everything in Jupiter/PBG. Literally the most delicious. Reasonable priced, quick service and did I say delicious.

Nicole H.

Yelp
Was running to an appointment and starving coming from Stuart. Looked what was in the area and found this little gem. It was only a 15 minute wait for busy time at 7 PM and completely, and absolutely worth it! I ordered the gordita with the chicken and literally scarfed it down within five minutes! Will definitely be back and recommending !!! The Salsa Verde topped the flavor even more! The ambience outside is very nice as it has Lots of greenery!

Nathalia A.

Yelp
I love Taco Chula! I've had the steak burrito 5+ times and every time it is phenomenal. I love the flavor, the price, and how moist it is. I also love the green sauce it comes with, it adds even more to the burrito. The location itself is small and it has limited seating outside (in the shade). The staff is always very friendly, food is ready quickly, and as I mentioned it's always delicious. If you're looking for a tasty Mexican place then this is it! I would visit more often if I lived closer.

Leenette B.

Yelp
This is a busy place. There is a lot of competition for the few tables they have. The food seems authentic. And it was well prepared. I think there were a good number of vegetarian options. I think if I go back I'll try something different.

James F.

Yelp
Order it to go and food was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up, so if you're looking for quick food this is your place! However, I got the tacos and the carne asada quesadilla. The tacos are very bland to the point where the corn tortillas overpower what is inside of it, but it does come with a lot of your meat of choice. The quesadilla was better than the tacos, but it had way too much cheese to the point again the meat was overshadowed. Pros: Quick, A solid amount of food for a reasonable price, and the service was good Cons: Food is not very flavorful and oddly proportioned

Kim G.

Yelp
Great spot for a Taco Tuesday pick up. Not pictured is the guac under all that glorious cheese that I ask to be added to my taco. Pure deliciousness. The red sauce has some major kick while the green sauce is my go to. Y U M M Y!
