The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, May 2020 | Eater NY

"Dining al fresco I had a straightforward but very good steak taco: tender, well-seasoned beef in a crispy shell with sweet onions, mild sautéed jalapeños, and avocado salsa — perfect with a cold pilsner while watching the sunset over the Hudson." - Eater Staff

Expensive and not worth it!!! I pay more thant 50 dollars for 6 empanadas, the price does not bother me when the food is good, but the empanadas are very bad, small, the green sauce tastes horrible. Not even the presentation looked good, the lettuce was old.

Suzanne R.

Google
I used to love, love, love Taco Dive Bar, and was always happy to take people there or suggest it as a meeting place. The food was delish, the presentation was great, the whole vibe was awesome. Now it feels infinitely less like a cool spot/“5th borough” than a somewhat upscale and absurdly expensive Taco Bell that serves margaritas, for which you will pay out the nose and not get salt on the rim of the glorified water glass they’re served in unless you specifically ask for it. Gone is the giant jug of “Spicy Mamas” behind the bar and the spicy mama who was so proud to mix one up for you. And if you order some classic quesadillas, on a sunny Saturday afternoon, you will get said quesadillas perfunctorily slapped on a plain white plate, with a steel thimble of sour cream, and absolutely nothing else—no garnish, no thimble of salsa, not even an offer of a jarred hot sauce. Basically an utterly boring grilled cheese, made (I’m guessing) with industrial pre-shredded cheese, if they don’t actually come pre-assembled out of the freezer…no cotija or crema. No one is cooking behind the line next to the bar that used to be the source of yummy smells and the vitality of hot-off-the-grill creations. I don’t even know where the sad quesadillas came from. Our bartender, a young woman studying for her master’s in psych with the goal of working at Ryker’s, was charming and attentive. The vibeless, starched-white-shirt-and-black-shoes boss-like man behind the bar was efficient and utterly lacking in charm, on the other hand. $46 for crappy quesadillas and 2 “classic” margaritas. I keep saying I won’t return, as each time I’ve visited Taco Dive Bar since the pandemic, it’s been worse. But this time I’m really done.

Took some friends from our of town here last weekend, all of us were impressed! We ordered the four dip appetizer and it was so good, chips were really good too! The birria tacos were amazing, chicken tacos, also great, the corn was delicious and there's a burrito with mushrooms that actually really works!!! I had the spicy margarita and loved it! Our server was a young lady and she was so nice and funny, she put up with four old friends catching up and razzing each other. It was overall a wonderful evening there. We'll definitely be back!

We sat outside since it was such a nice night. My wife order the rice and chicken bowl. I had the pork al pastor taco and a shrimp taco. I enjoyed both. The pork taco had so much meat you could barely close the taco shell. The shrimp taco was so good I ordered a second one. I that for the smout of food you received the price paid was responsible.

Google
Nice spot to come for a drink of any kind, family friendly, vibrant, sunny spot, facing the Hudson River. I had their smoked pork belly taco, and it held up well with the warm corn tortilla. The sweet glaze complimented the crunchy chicharron (pork belly). I can taste the freshness of all the ingredients. The pork belly was perfectly flavored with the right crunch factor. However, I would have liked a little more glaze to balance the fat of the guacamole. I asked for a wedge of lime on the side and it helped cut through the fat. Margarita was good, but I felt it was missing something. The Tres Generations Pina Paloma was delicious! Perfect balance of pineapple and tequila, and I'm telling you it creeps up on you. Service was good. Waitress or hostess could have been a bit more smiles, but she was not rude. The Manager was very attentive. Overall, nice place to visit. I will be coming back to try more menu items :)

Google
Arrived as they opened at noon on a Saturday. I had the Huevos Rancheros brunch special. A nice amount of heat, overall score, Delicious! Everyone in my party commented on the excellent flavors of their dishes which included tacos, empanadas, and burritos. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly, but not only for us. I observed several others who arrived after us and their food also arrived quickly. They gave us a military discount. I would definitely come here again.

Karina V.

Google
The food was great and they have a variety of beers, the place is conveniently located next to the metro north station. However the service was slow and they add 20% gratuity automatically to every check. We were a party of 2 and when I was going to tip I noticed they already added a fee. As far as I understand gratuity is usually added to large parties in NY restaurants.

Google
Amazing!! My fav taco shop! I come here every time I’m in town!! The Barria tacos are AMAZING! The mango marg is made with mango puree 🩷 the staff is friendly as well!

Yelp
Quality of the tacos were pretty good. Tacos are about 6 to 7 $ each. They come with an approximately 4 inch tortilla and your choice of protein. They do overstuff them. But I felt they are bit on the expensive side for what they are. Honestly, I rather eat four tacos that are $3.50 each at 14$ somewhere else. Unfortunately, the service sucked. The waiter had an unfriendly demeanor from the start. He glared at me as I came in through the door, but then didn't bother to say hello. He then proceeded to be unfriendly and unpleasant throughout my visit. But the straw that broke the horses back was when he started to yell at me to "hold on ! Hold on!" When I simply asked for the check. So to summarize....decent tacos that are too expensive with bad customer service. I wont be back.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Cassie our server she was fantastic! I highly recommend going on a Thursday it's Happy Hour all day on food and drinks. The ambiance is very nice and it very warm and cozy in the winter time. Summer time is awesome as well the view of the Hudson River and sunsets are incredible.

Yelp
All of the above... Food, service and ambiance. I am Latina and the margaritas plus food were spot on! I loved the option to order Naked tacos and the wild caught cod and the portobello goat cheese really hit the spot! This place is located just steps from the Peekskill metronorth and close to the Hudson. While you wont get a glimpse of the water, the surrounding mountains, breeze and music from other waterfront restaurants create a great and relaxing environment. They make their margaritas (Cadillac style) with fresh ingredients and I am 100% here for it! Please stop in... you wont be disappointed!

Nydia D.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The waitresses were always attentive and smiling. The Loaded Steak Fries was absolutely delicious! It is listed under the appetizer section, and it has shredded brisket and melted jalapeño cheese on top. Wow!! The sour cream chicken enchiladas were good, but it didn't taste as spicy as I had anticipated. Nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Tasty and delicious, in an incredibly convenient location if your coming or going on the Metro North in Peekskill or just looking for a spot to stop off on your route this will be one of the first places you see! No outdoor seating but the windows are huge and open so if your with a bike and need to keep it close you can still dine inside and be next to your bicycle. The menu has a good range of options for everyone, most of which can be made into a bowl or a salad or a burrito! My only criticism here is was the rice was sticky. I absolutely loved my mushroom rice bowl and I would have it again here. Fresh beer on tap as well as a full bar, with friendly faces! I'll be back.

Yelp
my only complaint is you guys playing the radio while this local guy plays the guitar outside.

Kimberly D.

Yelp
I love TDB! All of their tacos are super tasty and the staff is very friendly. Cocktails are delicious. I like sitting outside when it's nice out - inside is tiny but decorated in a cute way. Their food comes out FAST so it's good if you don't have a lot of time or if you need a quick bite after the train ride. Everything is tasty.

Susan N.

Yelp
Great outdoor seating near trains with river view in the distance. Shrimp quesadillas and house margaritas were excellent! Service was considerate and speedy!

Yelp
Place closes at 8 pm refused service at 7:45 asked to place a to go order and was told the kitchen was closed already. I don't want to text you, your staff made it clear the kitchen was closed and they did not want to serve us. They did not offer to take our order. She rolled her eyes, scoffed and asked if the kitchen was still open and your cook shook his head no. Whatever narrative you want to spin is fine.

Yelp
This is my second time here, and I was compelled to write a review. The first time was great. This time was the worst. I looked at the 5-star reviews and honestly, I don't see how. My family and I came here for an early dinner and we were completely disappointed. The waiter was seriously terrible. He looked like he had an attitude when he spoke to us. When we said "thank you", he replied "mhm". I had to practically beg for a refill on my drink. Aside from the 1-star service, the flavor on the food was sub par. Oh, let's not forget the $7 tacos and $20 quesadillas. Way overpriced for the quality of food. I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
We were famished and thirsty after a long bike ride and ended up here. I wasn't expecting much because the name is a little silly. I mean if you're a real Dive bar, you shouldn't have to announce it. However I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. I had the brisket taco which was huge and delicious. I also had the special fish taco, which was fried. I found it a little lacking in flavor. We also had chips with guacamole. The guacamole was excellent. We had two draft beers. Our server initially was new and a little overwhelmed. Then another server showed up who was more experienced. I was surprised it was an all cash place considering it's not cheap, but there was a sign that was easy to see warning us. I would definitely go back again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Fantastic service, food was amazing! Got an empanada and chicken quesadilla and honestly was one of the best i've tasted in this region. Only downside is that it's right next to the train tracks and every 10 minutes or so the train would plow through. If you aren't a fan of train noises and looking for a quaint little spot this isn't the best place for you to dine
google avatar

Lolita M.

Yelp
This place has so much potential. It's a really cute concept and I appreciate the outdoor and sidewalk seating. The vibe of the staff is high strung and rude which yields a very discombobulated service line that is presented in the quality of the food. The fries were over cooked. The goat cheese ball was delicious and so was the portobello mushroom taco. Aside from that, the cod taco was not great - it was actually soggy and fell apart. Pico de Gallo was not great either. I'm not sure how long they've been operating with COVID guidelines, but it appeared as though today was their first day after a same day crash course on how to operate. The ordering process was disorganized and confusing. You have to order inside and pay upfront; and if you're sitting outside, although they have servers, you have to go back inside to pick up your order. This also makes it a real hassle because it takes so long... As a result I only had one drink to avoid having to go through that entire process again that reminded me of being at the DMV. UGH! I would not have minded as much if the tacos were good and priced appropriately but in a nutshell, it's a cumbersome experience for overpriced less than mediocre food. First and last time.

Yelp
Great service, staff and location near the train station and waterfront! Good vibes and good food, including nachos and Baja tacos. Margaritas and drinks are pretty good for the price.

Yelp
Went to Taco Dive Bar for the first time in quite a while. We got the chips and dip assortment, tacos for my wife and a salad with beef for me. The tacos (interesting since this should be their specialty) had cold and soggy tortillas, very bland (one chicken and one beef). The fiesta dip and chip was ... ok. Guac was boring - no lime or salt. The other dips (bean and cheese, goat cheese and mild salsa) were ok. The salad was disappointing - the beef topping was basically unspiced ground beef. Overall, did NOT live up to our memories of this fun place. We might be back for old times sake, but not in a rush. Please bring back the interesting and well prepared options! On the flip side, service was good if not inspired.

Yelp
Question: How do you take your Taco? You can't go wrong with any of the tacos on the menu here. Personally speaking- the real standout were the Tacos I had- plus the other seafoods ones I was eyeing like a hawk for the next time around. Both my Shrimp Taco and the Portobello one- had a heap of the star ingredient! Just to mention, tacos have the necessary greens/or cabbage/or sliced onions/or tomatoes/or cheese. And what I particularly like is how Dive Bar doesn't fill their Tacos with Veggie fillers- these suckers are packed with Protein. Hell...some of them came in at $5+, $6.75- even a Steak Taco at about $7+.........and these are just for 1. Located across the street from the Peekskill Metro North tracks, Taco Dive is a gem and packed for a Summer, Sunday afternoon. We caught the last 2 bar seats and that was perfectly fine- (by the way- they take reservations). There was a table available but was left open for a party of 4- so I respect that. Music was everywhere but still cool with Soft Cell's "Tainted Love", some Queen, even 'I Wear My Sunglasses At Night' and Huey Lewis & The News' "The Power Of Love". Service was super nice with Sheridan and my other girl working the Bar- were so chill and spot on. It was hard to pick between my Portobello and Shrimp Tacos as both were very good. There aren't any Vegan Tacos, but these guys were able to Veganize my Portobello one. And hubs enjoyed both of his. If you're looking for a nice, upbeat taco spot in Peekskill, Dive Bar is a cool place to stop. Taco Tuesday? More like taco everyday- even on Sunday! I don't mind coming back. Our Tacos were so piled high with Protein and everything else on Corn Tortillas- they were a bit messy. But messy means delicious in my book.

Yelp
This place is never open!!!! It's Wednesday and we are here and it's closed! Sell the place and let someone else run it successfully! Obv the owner doesn't need to run this establishment.

Yelp
Back again, this time we ate inside. Staff was welcoming from the minute we walked in. We ordered lunch, 2 tacos (beef and chicken) and fried gulf shrimp salad. The portions are very generous and filling. I think I would just order the shrimp as a taco not over a salad. It was good but I think it is more enjoyable as a taco and you save a few bucks. Great visit yet again ....we will be back!

Lissette R.

Yelp
Really, I love this place.....Came for lunch on a Saturday and was such a pleasure. It was pretty busy (holiday weekend) so we seated ourselves no problem. The musician playing outside added to the tropical feel.... The location is awesome by the waterfront. Ordered the Blackened Mahi Tacos, Chicken Quesadillas, with a side of Guacamole and Pico De Gallo. Everything was so delicious! The Piña Colada was like a dream....cudos to you all and thanks for a lovely afternoon.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
Tacos here are expensive, but pretty well done. We got the carne asada, which was kind of dry and took a long time to come out. Would recommend the fish tacos over the carne asada. Service was spotty, but perhaps because we were sitting outside, around the corner from the main hubbub. The view of the Hudson River here is beautifullll, and we fully enjoyed watching sunset at Taco dive bar!
google avatar

Guillermo C.

Yelp
Over priced and the food tasted burnt. Not to mention the staff is very unfriendly, if you're a tip based employee don't forget to stick to the roots of customer service. Tips are based on service, not how much the bill is.
google avatar

Jaz S.

Yelp
Ate here with my sister on a Sunday afternoon, not crowded at all. We had a waiter that absolutely was miserable about his job. Barely spoke or responded when we asked questions, just looked me with no verbal response when I asked him to check on our drinks. We had received our appetizer and entrees and still had no drinks ? Food was ok, we would have ordered another set of drinks but our waiter never came back. I had to walk inside to pay at bar if I wanted to leave bc waiter MIA. My sister made me leave a small tip out of respect but trust me when I tell You wanted to leave nothing . Terrible service... sad bc I'm a local and I love supporting local businesses but ... this place has to do better
google avatar

Yelp
Can't beat this location with sweeping views of the park and Hudson River. The garage door style windows open to bring outside inside, and two-tops line the sidewalk under a partial overhang that provides shade until the afternoon on sunny days. There is a small bar inside, but all the tables have the view. The menu offers an assortment of tacos and other casual fare, most with a Mexican theme. There are drinks to match, with a focus on Tequila, of course. Two tacos did the job for me - one pulled pork carnitas and one gulf shrimp with plenty of shrimp. Tacos come un-spicy do if you crave some heat it's up to you to pile it on. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient and we enjoyed a leisurely linch followed by a walk along the river. Nice spot, a Lanza gem
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
It used to be better. Not great food. Small portions and increased prices. I'm disappointed. It's no wonder they are not as busy as they used to be.
google avatar

Janiya G.

Yelp
It's an ok place, idk if it's just because I got it to go but they looked like they were kinda just thrown in there. But they were still super good. I'm giving it a three because I thought it would have been treated great. But the place seems always busy with people. Also even after a few days I heated it the leftovers up and they still tasted great. I recommend if you wanna eat here actually eat at the restaurant to have a better experience. There's a great ice cream place next to it and the water / huge park , there as well.
google avatar

Sheena R.

Yelp
I'm posting from personal experience today, this place is beyond lovely. The staff is kind, professional and attentive. The food is delicious and the atmosphere couldn't be cuter. The negative reviews do not do this place justice. Come check it out for yourself. Spend a lovely time with loved ones and you won't regret it. We had the beef empanadas, the fundio cheese dip with chips, and brisket tacos... everything was DELICIOUS. Seriously yummy, just come and find out for yourself.
google avatar

Dorna N.

Yelp
The tacos are so-so (not my favorite but not terrible either) but their cocktails are where they really shine. The main reason I don't LOVE their tacos is because I prefer corn tortillas, not flour. Also, the cod taco specifically was pretty bland IMO. We also got guac and salsa as a starter (you can't order just one or the other, you have to get both). The guac was pretty good, but the salsa was flat-out awful tasting and super watery. Anyway, back to the good part: we did order two drinks to-go along with our food order and they were both excellent! That was the saving grace, and I would definitely return for drinks only. Great view of the waterfront to boot.
google avatar

Carolyne V.

Yelp
Tasty food but super disappointing. For the steep price of $15+, you get one 2oz taco, nothing else. if you are going to charge this much for hardly any food, it will need to be damn near perfect. Instead, we got old fish in days old taco shells. Shame to say that we will never go back. Know your product and charge appropriately. Suggestion: Add an additional taco at minimum or at least rice/beans so that if feels like a meal. Even the pico was an up charge. You are just not that good or in an appropriate location to do anything less.
google avatar

Jacquelyn S.

Yelp
Great spot for yummy appetizers & beverages. A very good COVId social distancing spot if you want to enjoy outside dining near the Hudson waterfront! Vibrant location with energetic and helpful staff ( thank you & good luck this semester online at SUNY Oneonta to our great waitress!) We ordered calimari, wings ( chili pepper hot sauce on the side) and super tasty beverages. Yep, this is a definite go to spot ! Do stop buy and enjoy as we did!
google avatar

Molly P.

Yelp
Yikes. We really wanted to enjoy this cute spot with its outdoor seating but it was honestly a hot mess. Stopped by on a busy Saturday for a post-hike lunch and the service was s-l-o-w. At one point we told the waiter we were ready to order and he walked away as we were speaking and disappeared for fifteen minutes. Ordered two tacos and one, the pork belly, was alright but pretty greasy. The second, the blacked cod, wasn't good at all. The cod was huge chunks, in no way blackened, and the whole affair was flavorless. Next time we'll just swing by for ice cream next door and skip this spot entirely.

Spd R.

Yelp
This place is totally overpriced. $14 for this tiny amount of chips, salsa and guacamole. The chips were too thick and tasteless. My Brisket Taco had chunks of fat in it. The tacos are overpriced too.

Yelp
Casual taco place near the water in Peekskill! The name says it all...so don't expect anything amazing! We sat outside on a Friday night. The told the hostess we were a party of 5. She gave us a four top and told us to pull over a 5th chair....okayyyy? We ordered margaritas; flavors were original, prickly pear, mango, pomegranate, and strawberry. Chips and guacamole/salsa as an app was good. I thought the amount of chips that they gave was pretty limited as it wasn't enough to finish the guac. We ordered and the food took about 30 min to arrive. Each taco was priced between $4-6. I had the brisket, carnitas, and pork belly; out of all three the brisket was my favorite! Two friends ordered salads $9-$10; they got a choice of one taco filling on top. The service didn't impress me! One of my friends had wanted no cheese on her salad...and it came out with cheese! They happily returned it to the kitchen and remade the salad. It was difficult to get our water glasses refilled. I assume this was because as the night went on the entire patio area was a labyrinth to walk through; with all the extra chairs being added to tables by the hostess. Parking was free street parking. We did enjoy sitting on the patio since it was a nice night. However, if you will be bothered by the train going passed every 5 minutes and interrupting your conversation, this place isn't for you. I wouldn't come running here but this place was a good spot for cheap/causal/no frills tacos. Not the best tacos I've ever had but then again...we're in Westchester :)

Katie ..

Yelp
Pathetic. The service is atrocious. Understaffed. Two servers work the whole restaurant. 45 minute wait for a pickup. Manager walks around drinking and watching the chaos. The food used to be good and it's all gone to shit. And on top of the service they can't even properly pack the food, spilled sauce all over inside the pick up bag. Don't bother.
google avatar

Sal V.

Yelp
Exactly what it's called, a dive. Tacos were suboptimal at best.. soggy with lots of coleslaw that had chunks of grapefruit in it with some brand of fried fish and salsa verse that looked like, well I don't want to make anybody sick. Have low Expectations
google avatar

Judy F.

Yelp
First time eating here. We sat at a table along the window so we had fantastic view of MetroNorth track, Hudson River and the mountains. Staff were friendly. Plates and glasses were clean. My cousin ordered 2 empanadas which looked golden and crispy on the outside & stuffed with filling (chicken, pork). I ordered blackened cod fish tacos. Fish we're opposite of blackened and translucent-defrosted flesh look & texture. I was starving and didn't want to be a difficult customer so I ate it. She ordered apple juice and I ordered grapefruit. About a 6-ounce serving. I enjoyed my grapefruit juice. 2 clean, single bathrooms. Nice oak bar with perhaps a full bar. I'd come again, if in the area.

Lil G.

Yelp
We ate here twice, and both times, service was very poor, but food was okay. Thought we'd try a third time. Waitress showed the two of us to a table but there was only one chair. She told us to grab a chair from a nearby table while she got our drinks, but as we did, another employee started yelling at us to not take the chair. We tried to tell him that the waitress told us to do that, but he grabbed the chair and put it back at the other table. We waited about 10 minutes to tell the waitress who was bringing the drinks , but she didn't come back. We left. There's another better restaurant nearby that serves the same type of food that tastes better, employees are friendly, and where they actually have chairs we can sit it, so we go there.

Yelp
Did a nice hike nearby at Anthony's Nose and decided to come here for lite bites afterwards to refuel. Restaurant was not packed at 2pm and they had plenty of empty tables inside but they didn't give us a table. They suggested a tight two seater behind the door which we declined. We opted for bar seating instead. Blackened Wild Cod Taco No matter what you get DO NOT GET THIS! The cod taco came about half hour later with barely any cod but plenty of veggies. They charge $6 for this taco. Totally not worth it if there's barely there cod. Pork Carnita Taco This came much quicker than our first cod taco. This only took about 5 minutes. The pork Carnita taco was much better and decently tasty. In hindsight, we should have skipped the cod taco. The bartender was super friendly and drinks came fast but I think the kitchen didn't have their sh*t together hence the half hour cod taco wait. It's located by the water and right by the amtrak train track. Not sure if there's a stop right here though.

Joana C.

Yelp
My experience was not similar to these reviews. We went early afternoon. To start we were seated and waited quite a while before being served, not even water. The margaritas were sour mix and a tequila. We ordered nachos, fish tacos and a rice bowl. The nachos were ok, hence the two stars. The fish tacos were mediocre, 7.75 or so a taco. These tacos were on the smaller end. The rice bowl comes as the taco with rice instead. So if you order a steak rice bowl you get the toppings of the taco. I asked for mine without peppers and onions, I received a bowl of white rice with steak on top. No cheese, cream, guac, beans etc. When I asked for guac and cream I got salsa verde and sour cream. The have a bottomless mimosa option which not many places here do. The scenery is beautiful, the location is great, however the food and drinks were not great.

Anthony R.

Yelp
Italian Mexican Fusion?? The "Salsa"..not sure if marinara is what passes for salsa up north, but that was interesting. The wings were the saving grace. Wanted to give a 2.75 but this app does not allow ):

Anne W.

Yelp
Great burrito bowls and the best guacamole! Their margaritas are just plain delish! Love the outdoor seating in warm weather. Overall, good ambience!
google avatar

Joanna A.

Yelp
Came here for little bite ordered chicken empanadas (7$)- they were the best from entire order shrimp quesadillas (12$) - they were ok just little plain with nothing but a spoon full of guacamole , chicken burrito (12$)- very dry filled with mostly rice also came with little bit of guacamole nothing else no sour cream Drinks were ok we got 2 margaritas one on ice and in frozen mango- extra 1$ for that (and not what I expected)
google avatar

Shakia M.

Yelp
So I decided to give this place another try and here's my updated review: I had the chicken empanadas and they were soooooooooo good. EMPHASIS ON THE SO. My friend had a cod & chicken. She didn't like the cod taco. She stated that there were a lot fixings and not enough fish, however, she was extremely satisfied with the chicken taco. It was very flavorful & moist.
google avatar

Rona F.

Yelp
Exceeds expectation. The river is in view about two city blocks away. It is only on the wrong side of the tracks because the tracks run along the river. It is next to the train tracks and -- who knew? -- trains go by every 20 minutes. Food was very good. Adobo chicken taco was far better than what the "dive bar" level. Drinks were good, too. Service is attentive and they cooperate with one another. Erica was our server, but other staff delivered some of our plates.

Yelp
Good place but you have to go at off times. It gets too busy otherwise. The food is delicious and fun. Always super tasty. Drinks are good, and of course they make good margaritas. It's nothing fancy inside, that's for sure. Almost the entire menu is gluten-free, and there are vegetarian and fish options. So have a pork belly taco if you like, or a fish taco for something lighter.

Yelp
They're so sleazy they're charging for using a credit card. Really? They were closed all winter and are nickel and dimming to make up for it.

Yelp
Food was decent- however, SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. I've come back a couple of times hoping it would be better but nope- its just as bad. Our server was miserable and rude. We sat outside in the main area- not sure if thats why? But our server clearly hates his job and should not be in the service industry at all. I think whoever has had him at as server knows who I am talking about because he is absolutely miserable. I think people come back because there is not much in the area and its a last resort.

Yelp
My wife and I came for lunch on a Sunday and loved this place. The staff couldn't have been more kind and attentive. The food came out quickly and tasted very fresh. We had beef empanadas, dive salad, cheese dip with nachos and the beef brisket rice bowl and tacos. Each dish was just as good, if not better than the next. Very delicious, well priced and worth it. Above and beyond service and the ambiance was just right. Come spend a beautiful afternoon by the water and enjoy this place. Highly recommend

Yelp
We were in town for a little escape from the city and our anniversary and stumbled on the Taco Dive Bar. We had steak tacos, chicken taco salad and of course margaritas! The service was great, the food was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately we did not take pictures of the food but certainly will next time we visit.
