Great customer services for this food truck. This taco truck is located at Galleria food truck park at 2829 chimney rock . We came on 5/1/2024 in the afternoon noon. Got the fajita beef tacos with flour tortillas. The flour tortillas were absolutely delicious and taste homemade. The fajita meat is well seasoned but just isn’t as tender as I would like. They give you huge pieces of meat which is a bonus. The green sauce has a little bit of a kick to it so if you don’t like spicy, try to avoid the sauce. I love spicy food, but this has a little bit of a kick. The vegetables are fresh overall I will be back.

Google
The food was ok. I got the Birria chicken tacos with almost no birria sauce on them. They just looked like regular street tacos with cheese. Such a disappointment, especially with me traveling more then 30 minutes to get there. Also the guy that took my order was rude, almost to the point I didn’t want him preparing my food. But I didn’t wanna make a blank trip . My Receipt # 001-148950 day of visit 9/16/24 @ 2:51pm. I would like to speak with a manager regarding this matter. The location I visited was in the galleria area on 5550 Val Verde

Love Love Love Taco Fuego!! I visit their food truck often with my husband and we’re addicted. Each and every time without fail their tacos are always fresh, piping hot and bursting with flavor. I’ve tried other halal taco food trucks but this one is miles ahead of the competition. Tiny details matter, I love the way they slice the jalapeño, it’s fresh crunchy and blends perfectly with all the other textures. None of that tinned crap or massive round chunks. Customer service is awesome! Staff are very friendly and you never have to wait too long. My favs: 1. Texan Taco 2. Birria Taco 3. Baja Shrimp Taco 4. Consume is fire 🔥 The pics I’ve attached is from their Instagram page because my camera isn’t great, we end up polishing off the tacos in our car and the pics I have don’t do justice to their food. Their tacos are beyond awesome! One of my favorite places in Houston, TX hands down. Keep up the good work. I hope you open one in Sugar Land as well.

Google
This location is in a food truck parking lot. The tacos are very delicious- especially the Texan taco with brisket. The nachos are also freshly made. No place to sit in this location.

Google
I asked for no raw onion and got extra instead. I asked for grilled onions and they didn’t add them. The service isn’t quite there. The flavor of the tacos is very delicious, the green salsa is exquisite, but the portions are very meager. I didn’t enjoy my raw onion tacos.

Google
Overall good experience ordering takeout for a dinner party. Love that the halal scene continues to grow in Houston and this was a fairly good Mexican food experience. General feedback is that their chicken dishes are very good and has good flavor. But their beef dishes could use some improvement. Also the sauces here are pretty good. Overall will try them again in the future. Dishes I recommend Chicken Tacos - 4.5/5 Chicken Empanadas- 5/5 Chicken Flautas - 5/5 Beef Birria Tamales - 2/5 unfortunately very dry in taste even with the birria. The corn ratio to birria meat felt off. Beef Tacos - 3/5 - overall I wish they had steak meat tacos vs. shredded beef tacos. The taste in my opinion would be better.

Google
Loved these tacos so much, they were fast and everything was delicious. I came in a large group and they were able to accommodate us all and get our food out fast!! Can’t wait to go back.

Riyad Alsabagh

Google
Food was pretty good, the consome was light and airy and the tacos were delicious. I would say I wish the tortillas were a bit soggy and I wish the consome had maybe some onions and was a bit thicker. Atmosphere was bad but that’s to be expected as Texas is brutal in the summer and it’s a food truck. The service was good though .

Kaylee P.

Yelp
The food is very underwhelming for the price. $13 for two flat quesadillas and little to nothing else except some sauce is kinda crazy.

Sheilicha S.

Yelp
This looked like a cool food truck but we didn't want tacos. I'll definitely travel back and try something from this truck next time.

Carra C.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. We went to get some tacos because this taco truck is supposed to be open late night. We waited in line to order and waited for at least 15 mins until we got to the front and the workers didn't say anything but started moving around inside and closed the screen door very unprofessionally. The customers in front of us let us know they were done serving food which we were confused because they saw us waiting. We then proceeded to ask what time they were closing in general and the guys ignored us while proceeding to still break down the station. Never would I recommend this business based off the service we didn't receive.

Yelp
Santa Maria Madre de Dios! In other words, HOLY MOLY! No wonder this place is called Taco Fuego, the food is literally hot like fire, but is it delicious? Lets find out! We pulled up into the location parked by the famous food truck park by the Galleria. This was late on a Friday, so there were tons of people in the area. One of the neat features about this truck, is that its open late (at least over the weekend). So you have the privilege to burn your tongue after 3am on a Friday. They have a neat menu with tons of options. Burritos, tamales, mini tacos, ramen, burgers, empanadas, goodness...this little truck makes its all. We were in a Birria mood, so decided to get the Birria Burrito, Birria Ramen, and a side of Consome to dip the burrito. All this came up to about 32 bucks, so this spot IS NOT CHEAP. Very pricey, guess you are paying Galleria prices. The service was descent, not stellar, but descent. Speed was the main thing that stood out to us. In about 5 minutes we had our food (most of the other trucks parked here, take about 10 to 15 minutes to get your food ready), so Taco Fuego gets props for the speed. Portion sizes were good as well, the burrito was big, and we also got a good helping of ramen and consume. Now lets get to the pain and suffering. This food was INCREDIBLY SPICY. I get that Fuego is in the name, but we didn't realize that the taste would be unsufferable. We can handle minimum spicey, but this level of spicey wasn't even enjoyable, it was pure atomic pain. It would have been helpful to know that all the food is made to taste like hot fire beforehand, maybe we would have asked to limit some of that. Due to this reason, we really didn't get to enjoy the food at all. You look at the food, and its burnt red. Birria isn't meant to taste like the atom bomb, so this was a huge bummer. Would not come back, but if you're a fan of burning your tongue, to wake yourself up after a long night out, Taco Fuego is for you.

Thea G.

Yelp
The food was good. It was not greasy and hot. You just don't get tacos that are proportioned correctly. If a certain worker is working you get skimmed on the food. If another worker is working. You get the appropriate serving. I don't buy any food here anymore. The noodles are good. Could use a little more flavor. It's no ambiance it a food truck with other food trucks in a parking lot. Try at your own risk.

Rebeca D.

Yelp
I suggested my boyfriend to try this new place out I was craving Mexican food and it was our first time. soon as we get there taco fuego was the only food truck that didn't have customers. they took awhile to notice us and soon as we ordered the man wants to say the wrongs things of what we didn't say my boyfriend had to repeat himself like 3 times. And we pay my card went thru and took the money but on his system it says it decline but we told him it already took our money so we paid already so we can't get our food ? The man kept saying declined do it again at this point we felt scammed I couldn't get a refund it was just going on loops I was like I give up. he's attitude was rude and acting dumb. We left and never again we coming back here I don't recommend at all !!!!

Lynn M.

Yelp
This was good. Will definitely be back to try more things on the menu! We got the crunch wrap with chicken. We got a side of green sauce and this was sooo good if you like some heat with your food. Service: about 5-10 minutes not long at all!

Ryan C.

Yelp
I tell you what. This food was incredibly mid. Service was nothing, as in I didn't notice anything good or bad about it, and the food came out in like 3 minutes, but I did come here at 1:00 in the morning. Birria tacos were okay, not super flavorful, elote, or street corn as they call it might be in my top two saltiest meals I've ever tried. Ambiance was nothing, it's a food truck at 1 in the morning, I'm surrounded by a bunch of fellow intoxicicants, who cares. Just get McDonald's, it's cheaper and this place was like 14 bucks for really mediocre food

Alexis M.

Yelp
I got the shrimp birria tacos with consomé and it was delicious! The consomé had lots of flavor and the portion was enough to have me more than full. I would try again!

Stephanie Z.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try birria tacos for a while and decided to give Taco Fuego a chance. I got the birria tacos, the fries, and the elote. The birria tacos were really flavorful, and they provided lots of consome for dipping. It was a bit messy to eat so have lots of napkins ready. The fries were also delicious and a great portion size (better value wise than the tacos). I would not recommend the elote at all; it tasted like canned corn with an old topping on it and was quite unpleasant. Taco Fuego is a food truck, so there's no place to sit. The food did take a while to come out and they forgot part of my order, but it was fixed quickly.

Antonette T.

Yelp
Great food, made to order so expect to wait a bit, Overall good service and reasonably priced.

Amana C.

Yelp
Some of the best Birria tacos I've ever had. Even the cheese quesadilla I got for my daughter was amazing. Picked it up as a quick snack but so happy that they are open until 3 AM because I plan on coming back tonight while I'm still in town.

Alex ..

Yelp
Super great food, amazing service. plenty of parking and spacious parking lot. the BEST latin food i've ever tried. more people need to try this place!!

Queen B.

Yelp
These were the most delicious tacos I've ever had in Houston. I had the beef fajita taco and the Texan taco. The Texan taco Is to die for. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30 and was the only customer in the place. I would definitely go back here for tacos. It is self-serve on the drink but they do bring the food to your table. Or you can order to go. Service was fine but I was only person in the place so I have no idea what it's like when it's busy.

Jacob R.

Yelp
Very disappointed with this place. I have had Queso birria tacos in many places and the reviews for this place were off the charts. Tacos where soggy and super red.

Angela S.

Yelp
Taco Fuego on Silber Road is the best tacos you will ever eat... get the Birria combo. You won't regret it. You'll be thinking about those tacos all the time.

Sameet R.

Yelp
Returned last night and was not disappointed! The quesaBirria at $3.25 a piece is flavor bomb. I'm not sure with the tub of sauce adds much more to the flavor.

Lasheena M.

Yelp
Very poor service from the cashier. Was very rude and not customer friendly. I'm from Cali/ Las Vegas, service was so poor I decided not to post on social media. I will attach a video.

Chi A.

Yelp
Yelp needs to implement 0 stars as an option because Taco Fuego would be deserving of it. We placed an order and I repeatedly said I wanted Birria tacos but instead of beef, I wanted shrimp. I said this at least SIX times to him. We get home and it's soggy, uncooked shrimp tacos. I drive right back to them to tell him he gave me the wrong meal and he says they don't have birria shrimp tacos, beef. So why the HECK would you act like you do, only to give me shrimp tacos. To say I was pissed was an understatement. Then it was a whole ordeal for me to get refunded for the tacos as he was trying to argue me down and kept saying I should get something else. Sir, it's 101 degrees outside. PLEASE! Never AGAIN!

Nessa M.

Yelp
They need to work on their flavor too! There was not enough in this taco for me! They chose a decent brand of steak pretty tender when you bite into it but the way they seasoned it? I'll pass. Guac had a slight spice to it which was ok but yeah no not impressed.

Dorli B.

Yelp
I have an addiction to the Texas Tacos. I go by the Taco Fuego on Silber quite often. Nothing else will do. The people there are so nice, even when they are very concurrido. Whenever I have guests in town, I take them to Taco Fuego.

AuBriana B.

Yelp
Stopped by this area to get something quick to eat before heading out for the night. So happy my cousin suggested Taco Fuego! There were two other food truck options in the parking lot, but Taco Fuego grabbed everyone's attention this night. With a few of us in the group, I heard the birria tacos were very good. I had the birria quesadilla and boyyyy let me tell you! So good! Lots of flavor, perfect meat to cheese ratio and it came with a lot of food! Obviously not your authentic Mexican tacos or birria options, but it was delicious! Next time I'm looking for a quick bite, find me at Taco Fuego!

Gary B.

Yelp
Stood there trying to order Guy was making food, but Not Answer just stood there . Trying to order lunch 12.43. Guess they don't need more Coustmer's

Nicole W.

Yelp
The Quesabirria tacos were delicious! So so good! I was a little thrown off that you have to buy the consome separately, most places include this with the tacos. I paid $15 for 2 tacos, consome, and 2 empanadas. Parking at this food truck park isn't great so you have to get lucky to find a spot during peak times.

Maria Aimen J.

Yelp
I've been seeing the hype around this place on Instagram, and started following them on Instagram and have been determined to go ever since. The line is quite long, and it takes a while for the food to come out, because it is a taco truck and they make the food fresh order. These would be my only gripes come because the food is absolutely delicious. We got the tacos with the beef and the chicken... I prefer the beef ones, the dip just takes it over the top. My man loves to have loaded fries, so we got those and it was a generous portion, the whole white size takeout container size. I was not planning on getting drinks, but the limeade, the pomegranate and watermelon drink are absolutely delicious, and a compliment the flavours of the tacos very well. Definitely get those!! I am happy that the tacos were not super spicy because my spice tolerance is quite low, but again the dip has a great flavour to it, and We were able to enjoy our tacos in the car. They were put of a couple of the things I wanted, like the flautas, even though we were there early in the evening, but that just shows how they are popular and run out fast. Make sure that you ask for silverware and napkins, because they won't automatically give it to you, and I like to eat loaded fries with a fork so they were a necessity. Overall I would go here again but just be sure that you have enough time since the lines are long, as is the wait time, but it is worth it.

Victor H.

Yelp
(From November 2020) I found them on my Instagram feed so of course it became a Taco Tuesday deal as I ventured to their truck. Do not be afraid of the poorly paved parking area and tight squeeze; this truck is straight up Dope! Went with the Texas taco, El Fuego taco, and the quesadillas. All were delicious and filing. You might be taken aback by the price but these items are large and will fill you up with goodness. Next time I have to do the birria quesitaco, ramen, and empanadas. Not sure why I didn't order them the first time since they were featured on the IG Post. Oh well. Definitely next time!

Roma B.

Yelp
My friends and I were looking for late night birrias and found this food truck nearby. It's located in a parking lot with a bunch of other food trucks. They have many different options with birrias from quesadillas, tamale, ramen, and empanadas. Got the ramen and birria taco combo. Loved the consume, was very flavorful! The ramen was 10/10, loved the corn and jalapeños in it! There's no tables or seating though to sit.

Gesmi R.

Yelp
Over priced and the food looked old, I ordered a quesadilla and they didn't give me any napkins or sour cream. I asked for sour cream and the lady didn't say yes she could give me some or not. For the price I paid, some type of sauce should have been included with this very dry quesadilla. I also got fries and they didn't give me Ketchup so I had to go back 3 different times to get everything. They didn't have any ketchup when I went the 3rd time.

Requel P.

Yelp
The community was right! This is definitely the spot to go to if you want to try the Birria tacos. They serve the Quesabirria de Res with beef & cheese and of course the infamous consomé for dipping! I'll be honest, I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. But yall this was the bomb.com!! The taco was breaking apart. But that didn't bother me. Probably because I drove home to eat it. Anyways it's the consomé that really sets it off. Together it boasted with flavor I've never experienced. I really enjoyed it. You guys should definitely check it out when you're in the area. It's in the Halal food truck park. It was a lot of people around but I didn't have a long wait at all. Got my food in less than 10 minutes. Very good customer service. All staff wore masks & gloves.

Dionna B.

Yelp
This location consistently gets my order wrong. I tried to support because it's good but this has become ridiculous. Today was the last straw. I ordered via DoorDash. Because of previous mistakes, I put a note on EVERY item about what it was missing in previous orders. Well guess what, every single item was wrong again. At this point they have to be trolling me. I could not have been any clearer about what was missing. I literally broke down my order very simply. See the photos. Try Taco Fuego, but keep it moving from this location. They're clearly incompetent & will take your money, without caring to fulfill your order.

Jessica V.

Yelp
Food was amazing!!! We got the birria combo and pupusa. The consomé had great flavor. Meat was super tender and juicy!! Definitely coming back soon. Everyone was super nice.

Kaylee V.

Yelp
DO NOT USE THIS TRUCK FOR CATERING. They were scheduled for 6 months to cater OUR WEDDING. Deposit fully paid. On the night of our wedding, they didnt show. at all. With zero explanation. It is absolutely unacceptable especially on a night as important as a wedding.

Jeremiah N.

Yelp
Quesabirria, the fries and Crunchwrap were all fire. Food super flavorful. I will be ordering from here again!

Sasha B.

Yelp

Yelp
If you want a gooooood halal birria taco with consome and quick service this food truck is the spot. Taco Fuego left me in awe with their delicious tacos. The consome was absolutely amazing and felt super authentic. Taco Fuego is must go for anyone in HTX. I got one beef and one chicken birria taco with consome.

Azam K.

Yelp
This place is dang good! Tacos: The brisket is flavorful... not as much as it is at killens or pinkertons but still fire! As you can see in the photos, it is a ton of meat in each taco. Tacos did not disappoint at all and were the highlight!! Tostones: whewww amazing wow. Have made tostones myself and its a hell of a lot of work. They did a great job and its crispy with brisket on and a ton of flavor. Only downsides were that i felt the quesadilla had a bit too much cheese compared to chicken in it and that the service did take longer than I'm used to at a food truck. Overall though its a great taco spot and ill be back for more whenever I'm in TX

Darris J.

Yelp
These guys catered an event I attended recently. They arrived late to the event and were ill prepared the entire time. There was no menu available and they only offered a chicken or beef taco. Later on after I ordered they provided quesadillas as well. The also had elote on the menu to accompany the tacos. It was served in a cup, I asked for utensils and they said they did have them. I asked how do you expect me to eat a cup full of corn. Silence. I then inquired about napkins...we don't have them. So you have a restaurant on wheels with no napkins and no utensils? Luckily the party host had utensils and napkins. The tacos were actually good, they are served with a "soup" that you dip it in. No spoon to eat that "soup" with buddy. You drinking everything from these mofos. The elote was all over the place. Disappointed by the balance, nothing really worked together. Again the tacos are very good, the professionalism of the staff is where much improvement is needed.

Karen 2.

Yelp
tastes delicious. bit overpriced considering the small amount of food. convenient option with good hours.

Kaitlin C.

Yelp
Tacos are always amazing, HOWEVER the server Pabloa has a distasteful/nasty attitude every time we go to this location. Lacks customer service and people skills.

Anastasia E.

Yelp
On December 8th, I was here and wanted to try the melon Fresca that Google said this place offered in their menu, no one was at the front taking any orders. Last night on Christmas Eve, I wanted to try this place out, the service is subpar but the food was a great disappointment. I ordered two shrimp tacos with the sauce for $2.00 extra how ridiculous. I also decided to try the chicken empanadas, it lacked flavor and depth. The only thing I liked about it was the cilantro sauce. That is it. I ended up going to Taco Cabana for a more filling Tex-Mex food which is very sad because I wanted to get a real Mexican food experience. I have tried authentic made from scratch Mexican food before and this pales in comparison. I have had Mexican Mole, which is a traditional food made with authentic melted cocoa with shredded chicken chilies etc, I have had tortas from a local food truck across the street from my old neighborhood years ago ... Good customer service should always be a priority when the service is already bad, the food will probably also reflect that. The food truck itself looks colorful and inviting, I wish the same could be said about the food.

Arie P.

Yelp
Who doesn't love tacos? Taco Fuego checks all the boxes. If you are looking for Quesabirria, consome or street tacos this is your place, promise (*chefs kiss)! There Fuego fries are also a fan favorite in my household. The food is great and quick for a Taco Tuesday or just a good dinner option.

Tutti S.

Yelp
Delicious, tasty, mouthwatering yumminess. Can you tell I really enjoyed my Birria Tacos? They were excellent with and without the sauce, I wish I'd ordered more! Well seasoned and fresh as heck! Yes! Can't wait to go back. I'll get Birria Tacis again and also try some different items. Yummo!

Adam H.

Yelp
This place is solely responsible for the extra 10 pounds I put on. Been coming here for a while now. The birria tacos here are a must! Just too good (think tacos on steroids). Pro tip: this truck only has beef birria but the other Taco Feugo food truck has both beef and brisket!!

Jones B.

Yelp
Great food! Great flavor! Great service! My husband loves shrimp tacos and gets them everywhere we go and he just said the one we just got it's the best one he's ever eat in his life so that's a LOT to say! We got also a chicken quesadilla and churros, also GREAT! No pictures of the shrimp taco because we ate it before realizing we needed to post a review

Jazzmyn R.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I got the Queso-Burrito Taco. It was divine. It didn't hurt the guy with the Garfield tattoo was kinda cute. I'm definitely going back!

Vu T.

Yelp
Most of the food we ordered was good. Flautas were really dry, you're gonna need some sauce or lettuce. But make sure you double check your food when you get it. They left an item out that we paid for, and there's no way to reach them except being ignored on their FB message.

Gge C.

Yelp
First impressions are so important especially when visiting a restaurant or food truck for the first time. Today was the 2nd time visiting the Katy location. The first time we went, they forgot to add brisket to the ramen & this time they forgot to include the consume I paid $2 for. When I went to pay, I could smell weed coming from the inside of the truck. Needless to say, we won't be going back for a 3rd time and I wish I could get a refund on the tip I left.

Juju I.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION! Their food may look good but BEWARE! I am finally getting time to write a review because I'm just now recovering and up to it. I just came from the ER a few days ago due to food poisoning at this location. It's crazy because I have patronized this restaurant a few times before but I got super Ill. I mean extreme diarrhea, chills, and fever. My electrolytes were depleted and I had to spend money to go to the ER. I know it's this restaurant due to it being the only thing I ate that day last week Friday. The worst part is that I have tried to call their phone number numerous times to report this and no one has answered!

Brittany L.

Yelp
I have came across Taco Fuego through a Houston food page that I follow. After following their page I knew I had to try them for myself. I originally went for Flautas but they were out of order. They guy taking my order suggested the Birria Chicken tacos so Thats what I went with. These were THE best tacos I have had in a long time. I also got the Fuego Fries and their name says it all because those fries were FIRE!! The wait for my food was not long at all and all my food was fresh! I will definitely be back.
