Taco Fuego

This was a beautiful authentic aesthetic restaurant with a modern twist. FANTASTIC service! The food was even better! I got the nachos with brisket and it was incredible. the kind of chips they have are the best chips Ive ever had with amazing seasoning and a really good texture. The sauce that went on and around them was a perfect not too spicy but just enough to make all the flavors pop. It was so good that my girlfriend used the rest of the sauce to dip her tacos. If you want authentic mexican food and wanna try something new, this is a great place to start! Sorry the last picture is after I already started eating but it was delicious❤️

The food is great, the interior theme is very Mexican festive. Medium sized dining area with clean single-person restrooms. Cash or card accepted as payment. Mike was very friendly and accommodating at the register. Mike was patient with new customers and answered all of our questions. Free refills on soft drinks. The front parking lot is small, but there's plenty of parking in the rear.

I absolutely love the food here!! I have been eating here since they opened 2 years ago, The Birria is absolutely tender and consomé is so savory. I highly recommend the Pastor Taco’s aswell, the pineapple adds an amazing touch to the pastor meat. 10/10 👏🏼

I have tried this place a few times now. Good food. Great service. Not super fast, but not slow. Quick enough for lunch. All the times I have been here I ordered the birria taco plate with birria meat. Three tacos, consume, and a drink. Ordered rice as a side one time. Elotes another. They have three sauces to garnish. One, I’ll be honest, is straight up weird. Like a heavily seasoned, thick ranch. The others are normal jalapeno and chile sauces. I have tried birria at multiple places usually is bland. This place is packed with flavor. The tortilla are crispy and filled with good meat and melted cheese. Carmen was very nice!

Came in on a Wednesday, 2 pm. Cashier Carmen was nice, the food unfortunately left a lot to be desired. Ordered the mini fajita tacos that were super dry, almost to the point of being beef jerky. The meat itself didn't taste or chew like standard fajita, not sure what cut was being served. I'm not one to send food back but did give Carmen that feedback for the kitchen as I had to douse the taco in salsa. Kitchen was gracious and provided an extra fajita mini taco on the house, however even that taco was just ok. As it relates to fajita, Management should provide a re-training to the kitchen, they simply kept missing the mark.

Super nice spot!! The service is super great, Norma was amazing! The prices are also really tolerable so I recommend it a lot! Some of the best tacos around Houston. Amazing Horchata too!

Immediately when I walked in I was greeted and attended to. It was clean, tidy, great music and the atmosphere was really giving I’m so ready for TACOs! Everything I ordered was cook to order. Everything came out hot and fresh in a timely manner. I ordered the Fuego Fries, the Mini Fajita Tacos, and the Street Corn.. everything was so good I circled back for the churros to end all my savory on a sweet note. The Fuego! Fresh, cooked to perfection, well seasoned and the SAUCES! 🤤 DELICIOUS. The mini tacos, it was giving street and of course their green sauce to top it off. Last the CORN, HOT and the sauce! Just Damn Good. Talk about a new taco spot! Definitely will be on REPEAT!

The food is great but what makes me come back again is the great customer service that they provide! Will make this a great spot for the family to come and relax and enjoy some delicious food!

I unknowingly went to Taco Fuego on a Taco Tuesday, and I'm glad I did! Piper's Cantina, Tacos Doña Lena and Doña Leti's are also nearby, but I wanted to try something different. There's a few spots to park in front shared with other businesses in the shopping center. It gets pretty busy because all the eateries/stores like Chick-fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings, Whataburger and Walmart are all on Silber Rd. My coworker and I both tried the steak mini street tacos with onions and cilantro with lime on the side. We each ordered only 2 for $2.50 each, but having eaten one, I wished I ordered the combo that comes with 5. The steak and corn tortillas were so flavorful especially with the green salsa and the other creamy green salsa that I wish I knew the name of. It might've been creamy cilantro, but it tasted a little like ranch. I had only ordered 2 tacos since I also wanted a side of fries. The fries were served hot and fresh with the best seasoning. It also came with a small sauce of ketchup/mayo (I think that was the combo). I shared that. I also had the pineapple agua fresca. It was a little on the sweet side but still good. There's plenty of inside seating, so we sat at one of the booths. The restaurant looked clean. People were coming and going to pick up their orders. Yes, their items are a little pricier than other taco places, but it tasted so good that I'll be back. A bonus is that I work less than 10 minutes away. I'd love to try their other menu items.

Visiting out of town, so I had to visit this famous place. Outstanding place for authentic tacos I ordered amazingly juicy Birria Tacos with beef and shrimp, and beef street tacos. To die for. Bursts with flavor, fresh, and great customer service. Mike, the GM said he cooked my food. Lots of love for paying attention to taco lovers. Highly recommended taco place. You won't regret it. Thank you.

Pretty good! Prices are fair enough, some things a lil pricy, some things not. YUMMY.

Cashier does not understand well. First I said "Can I order the shrimp wrap combo that comes with drink and fries?" After I get the receipt, he walks away. I flag him and ask for my soda cup. He states that I didn't say the combo LOL. I look at the menu and see that's it'd be premium to order fries and drink on the side at this point. A bit disturbed....I said okay and politely walked away. I'm waiting for my food now, and he brings me someone else's order......mind you there's three people sitting down. Home boy brings me flautas...like bro, I literally ordered 30 seconds ago. Me realizing this dude isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, I look at my receipt. And yup....he took my order wrong - he charged me for loaded shrimp fries. I got up to the counter and I let him know that I didn't order the loaded fries, I ordered the wrap. He insisted that I ordered the fries.... This is where I lost it and asked for a refund. He told me that he'd talk to his manager and walks to the back. Comes back out and said that they'll change the order. At this point I go back to my table fuming....and for the cherry on top, see that the fries cost more LOL. I'm fucking done. This guys is fucking comedy. P.s. when I said he doesn't understand well....peep my name on the receipt. I literally spelled my name out for him. I said "Joon, jay oh oh en." How the fuck do you get JIMY lmao I'm dead.

I ordered three things which tasted good but the quantity and taste wasn't reflective of the price. I wouldn't go out my way to come back but I'd order again if I was in the area. I do look forward to giving it another try but only if I was nearby at IKEA or something.

Nut allergy friendly - I wasn't really able to ask but the menu seemed friendly. Easy parking in the strip mall. Adequate seating inside (booths and tables of 2-4). One lady at the counter that also doubled as a server - seemed understaffed. My order was not understood correctly - I ordered the ramen combo assuming it came with fries, but it did not. My friends' quesadilla combo and burger combos came with fries and they were able to ask for juices to substitute the fountain drink. Service was unfortunately poor. The ice machine was broken and so the tea was lukewarm. There were no utensils, so when I got my birria Ramen I had to sit there for 5-10 minutes while the unfortunate sole cashier/waitress went looking for plastic utensils to refill the container. My dish was getting cold by the time I got utensils. Birria Ramen: 1.5/5. Overly salty - and I eat many other ramen places with salty tonkatsu; trust me when I say this is SALTY. The ramen was no better than packets you get at the grocery store. Corn had the texture from a can. The birria meat is definitely a plus, but it was way too salty. It's like they mixed the ramen package with salty birria. Birria Burger: 3.5/5. Actually tasted better dipped into the birria Ramen. Decently flavorful. Fries were very salty and not crispy. Didn't get to try my friend's quesadilla but it seemed good, and he gave it a 4/5.

First time trying, it was really good! I got the Crunchwrap with chicken and it was delicious and crunchy, they bring 2 salsa's out with your food, place was clean and not too busy. Food came out in about 10 minutes. Staff were very nice!

Tasty food. Quick service. Good sauces. Above average for a taco place. Not a lot of seating but clean and well staffed.

Our son talked us into trying this place, glad he did. He got the birria tacos with consomme, I devoured one of these, really good. My wife tried a bowl of birria ramen, it was tasty but too spicy for her, our son and I loved it. I wanted to try something different so I could take more pics, The birria crunch wrap turned out to be the star of everybody's show, lots of goodies in this thing, layers and layers of beans, meat, cheese, tostada, lettuce, and a couple sauces. You must try everything, the crunch wrap for sure. Our grandbaby got her own churros, for quality control I had to try one, very good. We split a trio of tamales covered in consomme, yum! The table had cholula hot sauce and I snagged a few versions of hot sauce from the east side of the Sabine River and I didn't use any of them....didn't need it. We'll be back. They have about 5 locations, some are brick and mortar and some have wheels under them. Go to the nearest one and get your grub on.

I've been to the store location several times now and I've tried a little bit of everything. I finally got to try the fries and boy was I missing out. They were so delicious! They gave me the fix that I needed and more. I love loaded baked potatoes and this definitely gave me that with a little flare. It was very spicy with the fuego aioli sauce but the creamy cilantro sauce balanced it out. THIS is definitely a must try item on the menu. The empanadas were good as well they just don't come with enough. I received only two and they were small. The Birria Ramen was good as well, just a little on the salty side. Overall, I would suggest the Fuego fries (10/10), the Birria Tacos w/ consomé (10/10) , the Texan taco (9/10) , and the El Gaucho Taco (7/10). (Their tacos are very juicy which is great, but I suggest eating them right away or else you will be eating soggy tacos.)

Got the queso birria tacos combo. I had to force myself to save the third taco consommé is so flavorful. Pricing is great. I have not been inside.

Incredible surprise!!! Needed a quick bite after a run into Walmart so we decided to try this place since it was convenient and boy are we happy about it. Ordered the crunchwrap with chicken and it was huge and more importantly, delicious. Stuffed full of everything. I have to say I am a really picky eater and I was impressed. Tons of flavor. Partner in crime ordered beef birria and said it was probably the best he's ever had. Said it didn't even need the dip since it was juicy enough already. Also got the pupusa, which was also delicious. Had pickled cabbage and red onions on top. He loved it as well. Can't wait to go back. Place was clean and service was friendly.

Some of the best tacos and fries I've ever had in my life I hate to give places 10/10 but this place is hard to go any lower. There was a language barrier but that's what makes the food feel more homemade!

On a Sunday after church without my wifey my church friends invited me to try this new taco place. In all honesty they had me at taco, one of my favorite food groups. I'm lucky to live in Houston, where it seems like you can get a taco on almost any street corner. So as we go inside we learn that this is a "Latin" taco restaurant which I think means they can charge a lot more for their tacos. I got a sample of their birra taco, the Texas taco and their street taco. I also decided to order a side of two chicken empanadas and to wash it down some horchata. I really liked the Texas taco and the empanadas were great. I can't give this place any more than 3 stars because the street taco was terrible and the horchata was really bland and tasteless, even though it came out of a cool machine. Anyplace that can't make a great street taco is a place I don't want to come back to. That's the staple of any good taco place in my opinion and there are tons of other places that make great ones. That and the fact that my meal was almost $22 for tacos, come on man! Too much for tacos!!!!

Best tacos on this side of town no doubt. I had the best service with a smile that I could ask for. Food was great, and the space was also very clean and neat, very impressed.

I went around 815pm and it wasn't busy but the cashier was amazing and helpful. I got the chicken Crunchwrap combo and let me tell you it's huge portion and chicken is so tasty!!! Cashier was kind enough to chase me after I left my credit card but I'll be back to try the burger.

Taste of the food and customer service was definitely zero stars!! Corn in a cup was horrible. Service was terrible! Wrong order made and didn't want to correct it. Will not return and will tell others not to as well. Bad experience.

Walked in today and literally stood at the counter while the worker sat and played on his phone. Finally when I knock on the counter he gets up and asks "may I help you?", I tell him I've been waiting for at least a minute.. no care in the world. Let's try to clean this up please. This is unacceptable

Literally about to cry writing this. I ordered a burrito with steak beans and cheese. I waited all day to go get this taco but I was busy. I finally went in 20 mins before close. I ordered a burrito with purely steak beans and cheese. It had literally every option for topping on it. I'm super disappointed because I was really looking forward to this. They also started closing the store before we even got my food. They took forever to make the food only to get it wrong. When my boyfriend called to make it right they said there was nothing they could do because they were closed.

My first visit , staff was so wonderful. Ordered the brisket taco it was perfect spicy sweet tender, need to use bigger shells so wonderful filling doesn't fall out

My daughter came home for the Xmas holiday last year and I took her to taco fuego. The food is delicious but pricey.

Came here for the first time tried the birria tacos and Elote in a cup. Tacos had decent flavor not quite the flavor I'm used to. Elote just wasn't worth the price $6 for a cup and it was a small cup. Corn looks like from a can and didn't have the flavor of Elote I get elsewhere. Have to say I continue to look for great bierria tacos like I ate in California.

So rude. Never once was I rude nor asked them to alter their schedule to accomodate my company. Yet, this is the response I received from the "Admin" DISGUSTING!

I was craving Birria and decided to give this place a try, and let me say it did not disappoint one bit. I got the Birria taco combo and my boyfriend got the cheese crusted burrito with Birria. Both plates had so much flavor, the lady who took our order was very nice and the restaurant itself was clean. We will definitely be stopping by again.

Great food fast service nice seating area. Quesadilla is massive. Consommé is extra and a bit small but very tasty

Came in for the first time and was greeted right away by Erik. He helped me decide what to get and recommended the birria tacos and crunch wrap. I went with the crunch wrap and it was delicious! Definitely recommend and will be back soon

Had the Quesabirria tacos a couple of times and I also tried the ramen, everything was pretty good, this is definitely my go to when I'm hungry.

Love our taco spots in the neighborhood, Taco 7, Memorial Taco, Moderna Taco, the new Velvet Taco...Taco Fuego is another great addition...The birria was unreal...this is a new gem I hope the locals will flock to...

Great birria spot in Spring Branch! So far we have tried the birria tacos, the ramen, and the quesadillas. Their other non-birria offerings are great as well, especially the nachos.
