Why Every Food and Brand Collaboration Right Now Barely Makes Sense | Eater

"A fast-casual Mexican chain that teamed up with an energy-shot brand to produce an ‘energizing’ hot sauce — a partnership that at least keeps both items edible, but which the author finds practically unnecessary and even off-putting (they joke they don't want a hot sauce that keeps them awake until 2 a.m.), using it as an example of collaborations that prioritize buzz over consumer desire." - Jaya Saxena

Great alternative to taco hell. People were nice here. They have great food love the tater ole (tots). The tacos both hard and soft are great. They even have double decker tacos that other place abandoned. All of it was served piping hot and delicious. Also they have a really neat paper napkin dispenser that automatically shoots out 2 napkins at a time. It is a nice sanitary measure.

Cruised two miles with dreams of Potato Olés and childhood nostalgia dancing in my head—only to arrive at what might be the most well-marked mirage in town. State highway signs pointed with confidence, a fresh Taco John's sign smiled from the roadside… but the building itself? Completely vanished. Like it got Thanos-snapped off the map. All that remains are the enter/exit signs and a sprinkle of disappointment. Classic craving, zero taco.

First time here. I got a steak quesadilla, taters n tacos. Why are taters a side dish at a Mexican place?? They are regular old tots, no type of Mexican season/flavor at all and greasy as hell. The tacos have weird seasoning and taste like CHILI. Yuck! They don't taste like tacos. Not a fan. My daughter's beef n tater quesadilla she liked. Made with the same beef so I did not. My steak quesadilla is just ok. I really don't care for this meat seasoning either. Pretty much a fail for me. But whattaya expect from Taco John's as opposed to Taco Juan's? :/

Friendly service the moment we walked in the doors. We were traveling through and never had Taco Johns and wanted to give it a shot. Food was delicious. I really loved my chicken tacos.

This was my first ever visit. The crew made it so special and went above and beyond. The food was delicious! 10 out of 10!

Went and tried Taco Johns for the first time and was very impressed. At this location I went through drive through and it was very clean and everything looked like it was kept up from the hedges to the drive through equipment. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the different breakfast options to me. Anything I needed clarifying they did without hesitation. The food was great, especially their potato rounds. I'd definitely recommend this place due to the professionalism and speed I was there. Less than 7 minutes total and that includes the explaining and frying fresh potato rounds.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat. Super pot ato oles. With the works.... You should always try something new each time. Go on out, and eat tacos tonight.

Yelp
Is it wrong that on every road trip the beautiful wife and I go on, I figure out if a stop at Taco John's is possible? If so, I don't want to be right. Fortunately, on the way back to St. Louis from Memphis, we hit Sikeston right around lunch time. What more can I say? It was fast, friendly, and Potateo Olérrific!

Yelp
There isn't a Taco John's in St.Louis so on my way out of Sikeston MO I decided to try their hard and soft shell ground beef tacos. I'm all about a creative menu, however I must say that it's somewhat odd to see their menu advertising popcorn chicken and tater tots as opposed to house made tortilla chips or queso cheese dip. Taco John's is nothing special, they actually taste very similar to the tacos one can find on Golden Corral's nightly taco bar.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in the world is Taco Johns and I am fortunate enough to live within 15 Minutes of one.Now with that being said I've been to many different TJs everywhere from Missouri, Minnesota, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Kansas ect. ect. But my favorite one of all of them just happens to be the one closest to me in Sikeston Missouri! The staff is always very friendly they never send out crappy under portioned food like some other taco chains (Taco Bell) and in all the times Ive ever been there they have never gotten my order wrong. It's always a good dinning experience at the Taco Johns in Sikeston MO.

Yelp
Taco John's is my family's favorite fast food American taco joint! Toxic Hell lovers, taste this once and I dare you to go back to the filthy put you called home. The tacos are infinitely better, and Toxic Hell's side items are lackluster compared to Taco John's crispy seasoned Potato Oles dipped in some warm and gooey nacho cheese sauce! And, if you're missing Nachos Hell Grande (blech) try a Super Potato Ole! Taco John's is fresher, more delicious, more innovative, and they use actual ground beef, rather than the 70% pig processing waste product some other guys use. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Yelp
I wish we still had one in Poplar Bluff. The Taco Bravo and Potato Ole's were better than I remembered. The sweet tea however wasn't so great. It was pretty weak.

Yelp
The worst Taco I have ever had. Potatoes were awful. Nothing remotely appetizing about this place.

Yelp
I was insulted by an employee by the name of "Leslie" and told it was my fault they forgot my food and that it was cold. I have never been so shocked at the way I was treated by a business. I will never go to this restaurant again and if you value good customer service you will not either.
