Cool idea but it's doing too much. I think it's important to establish that isn't really authentic Mexican. An extremely friendly Indian man owns this restaurant and it definitely has a lot of Indian inspired items on the menu. I welcome that from your traditional boring American style taco joints.
But back to the doing too much. Less is more when it comes to tacos and Mexican food in general. There is a makeshift bar that serves liquor and shots. It's just kinda behind the cash counter, so it's not all that appealing to the customer. If you have liquor, you need an actual bar with a counter and stools, otherwise it feels janky and looks like a lemonade stand in a restaurant. Also, they're pushing milkshakes since Boba probably doesn't jive with tacos. Not that I think a thick milkshake is ideal with some carna asada tacos, but this goes back to the owner trying to make this something it's not. This has nothing to do with the food, but I can't stand when you go into a restaurant and they place AI versions of music or just really cheap covers. This is done to avoid playing real music, which provides an authentic feelings vs. bringing attention to whatever this Kid's Bop is, simply because restaurants have to pay a fee to use license music. You'll find a lot of Asian restaurants do this, especially those dumpling places or Brendy's shops, again, it has to do with a culture thing but it ain't a good look.
Now on to the food- I ate about 7 different tacos including the birria, tandoori, mahi, steak, chick-fil-a and the orange chicken and two different shrimp tacos. The best was the birria style, which is a bit greasy but seemed to pack the most flavor. The prices can add up and it's not really a traditional sit-down restaurant, so it seems like they do more business with take-out.
It's something you would see in Miami but it lacks the feel, the flavor and the authenticity. It has potential, but it needs to eliminate doing too much. The menu is chicken wings, tacos, Indian infusion and milkshakes. My stomach gets weak just thinking about it.
