I got the birria quesadillas, and they were pretty good! They could’ve used a little more seasoning as I felt the meat was a little bland and missing spice? But other than that they were super good. We didn’t have to wait super long for our food and our Oder was taken pretty fast. The service was good. The place was pretty clean, the tables could’ve used a wipe down, but the atmosphere was nice and peaceful. There’s plenty of nice places to walk locally too.

one of the most unique menus ive seen at a Mexican restaurant. I got their jalapeno burrito and shared half with my buddy. tasted so yummy like carne asada mixed with soy sauce. we each got one fish tacos and they were delicious. lots of seating and the staff was very helpful in helping me choose the items . My buddy got the monster rolled tacos plate and he loved it. My favorite item was the camaron enchilados fries. They were so amazing. spicy shrimp with melted cheese. definitely coming back here.

Simple and delicious, I practice my Spanish in here, and I always get the correct food. The protein bowl is simple and has plenty of flavor. Add cilantro and boom, it's dynamite.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. At this point I owe them a review. Out of all the Mexican spots here in San Diego, This place has been the most consistent With the quality, flavors, and service. My wife and I always come back to this place and it’s always so delicious every single time. The consistent quality and taste just does it for me 🙏.

Got the Asada fries, California burrito, and the asada burrito. The asada fries were good but the topping to fries ratio was off. More toppings. The cheese was definitely lacking for a $14 menu item. The California burrito was also good but the filling ratio was also off. It was like 75% fries and 25% everything else. The regular asada was a better. Overall good if a little pricey for what you get.

People are nice. Closest taco shop to home. But seems like I get less and less rice and beans every time. Still hungry. This was a "Monster Roll Taco" meal. 3 regular size rolled tacos and 2 spoonfuls of beans and 2 spoonfuls of rice. A splash of guacamole. Getting sadder as I write this.

The place itself is nice and clean! We ordered the Asada Tacos and it was delicious. My husband ordered the monster rolled tacos and the portion was pretty small for what they advertise it. The birria tacos are decent. The Horchata was perfect in our opinion, good flavor and not too sweet. The service was good in our experience. 🙂

I'm currently obsessed with their monster rolled tacos. They are not your typical rolled tacos from a taco shop, but they are yummy. Reminds me of the rolled tacos from Mexico City. Also recommend the grilled shrimp tacos, also delicious. Their daily specials are also good. Can't beat the 1.99 Fish Taco on Mondays. I personally also enjoy their Birria, good portions. Overall, it's a good spot in our community. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I'm not a fan of their carne asada. Its bland. If it was good, I would eat here every day (not really but you get the point).

BIG fan of their carne asada torta. Even bigger fan of their $5 carne asada torta on Wednesdays. Unfortunately NOT a fan at all of their "dine-in" only policy for the $5 price which they seem to be very strict about here. I had to cancel my order, leave with my money and think of a Plan B for dinner when I could not order some tortas at that price point to take home to the family. I think forcing you where you eat the torta for a price point is a really silly policy and the only valid reasoning I can possibly think up for this policy is they'd like you to stay and spend more on more menu items. which I do not intend to. Otherwise why doesn't matter where I eat the torta?

Stopped here after Sesame Place and had fish tacos. I'm talking about the best fish tacos I have ever had. Too far to run out for but will definitely be there every time I go that way. Got to try other menu items

I ordered a shrimp burrito without the sauce. They delivered it with the sauce (which i am allergic to). I called and spoke to the manager and she said she would call me back in 10 minutes. She never called me, so I called the store back and they have now blocked my number so I can even talk to her again! I would give 0 stars if I could. Beware!

Food is solid but the service needs significant improvement. They're constantly messing up orders in simple things like adding guac when you request no guac, or requesting flour and the give you corn tortillas. They also do not have a delivery option, so you're SOL if they mess up an order using a 3rd party ordering or delivery service.

I have bought the shrimp casadilla from this place and it was juicy, well marinated, and just beautiful. Service was ok, price is a little bit expensive though portion size is good. Again i would try them again for sure.

Got an amazing taco and a quesadilla with sour cream. I took the quesadilla to go. They give ample cheese and the sour cream was generous too. I really like the open kitchen and the interior is very modern and clean. I will definitely be back to try different tacos they offer! Also, I recommend their house red salsa. It was amazing and I tasted garlic in it! One thing I was impressed with this they gave me a side of cilantro at no charge! Highly recommend Taco Lounge. There is easy street parking.

We didn't like the flavor of the carne asada tasted more like a regular meat no flavor. The cheese had a very strong smell to it. I won't be back.

Went here for late lunch and saw a few post on insta so decided to try it out. I got the fish tacos, birria, and asada while my bf got the fish tacos. The fish taco was pretty bad, it was freezer burned or something but tasted old and the batter was soggy and not cooked till crispy so that was a fail. The birria lacked flavor and the asada was way over cooked. The corn tortilla looks house made but it's just very thick and wasn't really sturdy. They plus side they do give a little bag of chips.

Stopped by for some rolled tacos. This place was pretty solid. They only have 1 option and its pork or beef (not sure) but theyre called the monster rolled tacos. But theyre topped with crema and guacamole on a bed of lettuce. Comes with a side of rice and refried beans. Those were pretty solid and tasty especially when combined with their salsa verde. The battered fish taco was pretty good too but the batter had some kind of seasoning which didnt add to the dish and made it taste a little different. I probably wouldnt get it again but it also wasnt bad. Overall, id come here again, id like to try their other items if im ever in the area again. The service was average and you get a free soda if you check in on yelp so that was cool.

I will keep it simple and short I ordered the roll tacos combination, my roll tacos (meat) tasted expired. They were already premade. On my way out, I saw the young cashier boy and another female worker refilling the salsas, while dipping their ships into the the main salsa bucket. Disgusting!!! This does not deserve a 1 star

I have ordered uber eats from here twice and they always forget my burrito. Additionally, there was no salsa for the other meals. What is the point of ordering from here if you don't get half of your order or salsa?! Last time I also requested that my taco was plain for my kids and when I called again to verify they said they would make sure it didn't have anything. When I got it it looked like they tried to take the salsa off so I could not give it to my kids. Never ordering from here again.

The food is amazing here! And I love the convenience of it since it's walking distance from my house! I usually get the monster rolled tacos or the shrimp tacos! They're AMAZING! My fiance loves their California burrito! It's our go-to place right now (:

The food is always made to order and it's delicious! The tacos and burritos are packed with meat or veggies. The salsas are really good. I Highly recommend this neighborhood hidden gem!

Taco Lounge is our favorite local taco shop! They serve high quality ingredients each and every time! The staff is kind, consistent & super efficient. My favorite is the grilled shrimp taco. They use fresh avocados & the best chipotle sauce! My daughter's favorite is the carne asada tacos (& occasionally carne asada fries). We also love the Birria taco (pictured) & consommé. We dine-in often and do take-out as well. Both dining options are great. Taco Lounge is clean & inviting. The staff sets you up with all of the necessary condiments. Fist time here. It was nice. The place is clean, and the customer service is good. The prices are a little high for tacos. Well for me. I believe they were 3.79 for a carne asada taco. The Asada is cooked well and has decent taste. The Al Pastor is pretty good. The Monster roll tacos were very good. One thing I really liked, was the red salsa. It had a little heat, but more on the flavor side. The green salsa, was to tangy for me. I will come back to try their Protein Bowl.

I was craving Mexican food but didn't want to drive too far. This restaurant is hidden along a small strip mall with little parking. Service was relatively quick. Ordered a California burrito and two surf and turf tacos. The portions were disappointingly small for the price. The burrito was mediocre, it was all mushy on the inside. The surf and turf tacos were flavorful but small.

These are the small tacos. Carne asada tacos are good. The fish tacos are good. Recommend ordering for pick up.

It's a 1 because if the contrast if how great it was when they first opened. Very consistent and amazing flavors Today they were one of the worse of many I've had and nothing like they use to be. Meat was cut thicker, cold, a cheaper chewier meat in the carne asada burrito. Even the dieting area filled w smoke. There horchata use to be one of the best. Now it's foggy water yet the price stayed what it used to to be worth. Not now. Take a few minutes to got otay malls taco shop by the gym. You'll never go nor will I back to taco lounge again. What happened?!?!

Seriously, this place nickle and dimes you for an advertised dish where you have to pay an extra $3.99 for meat and an extra $2.99 for one egg. Then, they give you the wrong kind of meat and no egg. Added insult to injury, there was no one else in the establishment while we waited for our food (to be done completely wrong) for 30-minutes If that were not enough, their burritos tasted like cardboard and when you think the only way to salvage any type of flavor is the salsa..Nope! The salsa (both red and green) had NO flavor and only a punch on the palate of a bitter chili seed. It actually hurt while you were eating it and ater. Will not come back to this over priced sandpaper tasting food place. This place was realy bad. Even my dogs wouldn't eat the food we didn't eat. Would give a negative rating if possible. Very sad and expensive.

Ordered al pastor fries yesterday and currently dying on the toilet from food poisoning. 1/10 would not try again.

Stopped by this place on a weeknight and definitely enjoyed our meal! We tried a fish taco, chicken quesadilla, and pastor bowl. The fish taco was OK (tortilla was a bit hard), quesadilla was awesome, and pastor bowl was tasty. Portion sizes are fair and prices were reasonable. There are daily specials during the week too - I'll definitely be back!

Really good tacos and came here on a taco Tuesday! Glad we did because the choices were plenty and the quality was delicious. Somewhat of a hidden place in the Chula neighborhood and would have never thought this place existed, lol.

My friend wanted to come here for lunch! I got the gobernador shrimp tacos. They also had coke in a bottle which I love! The tacos were the best shrimp tacos I've ever had!! The flavor was so delicious! I can't wait to come back here again next time I'm in the area!

My first burrito after being back in CA and it did not disappoint. They let me customize it and it was amazing! Their green salsa was the icing on the cake. Please come open in FL!

I paid for the quesatacos which are an extra fee. When I notified them not only did they not apologize the gave me cold cheese on the side. 6.43 for a cold taco

Lately, I have cravings for tacos. Especially, fish tacos!! Came into the taco shop and it is very welcoming. I ordered two fish tacos and a asada tacos. I saw that they make their tortillas in-house and fresh to order, I couldn't resist and captured the proof! The tacos were a pretty good size. Let me say, the corn tortilla was nutty, soft - I really liked the texture! The asada taco was soft, and seasoned very well with all the toppings. The guacamole was the mic drop for it! To my main event, the hot crispy fresh fish tacos was amazing (top 3). The fish was meaty, flaky and overall seasoning -toppings, had complemented in the best way possible. For the fish tacos, the green and red salsa was light-refreshing and changed flavor profiles in every bite. 10/10 recommend

I had a great time at Taco lounge! The staff was friendly and the food was delicious! We had green chilaquiles with eggs, beans and rice. The tortillas were the perfect crispiness, and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy J There are so many brunch/ breakfast options as well, like breakfast burritos, and breakfast tortas. We tried a burrito with bacon, and also tried a few tacos and drinks. My favorite taco was the fish taco and the carne asada taco! It comes loaded with homemade guacamole o We tried: § chilaquiles with eggs, beans and rice breakfast burrito with bacon, eggs and French fries tacos: carne asada, fish, al pastor and birria jarritos drinks

A nice clean little spot in the neighborhood.The food here is decent and hits the spot. I've been here a few times and the food has never been hot, always warm. Service is great, they're always friendly. Parking can be annoying at times because if there's none you have to park pretty far.

Great authentic Mexican food. Good customer service. Food was fresh and the wait wasn't long to receive our order. Clean, well organized taco shop. Definitely better than other taco shops in the area. We ordered the 4 carne asada tacos, carne asada fries, carne asada burrito plus 3 surf and turf tacos. Reasonable prices and portion sizes. Parking can be a nightmare depending on the time of day. Must share to do the Yelp check in for the soda. Will return in the future.

Tacos were absolutely the worse I have had in a while . Meat IS NOT ASADA.. looks boiled then semi-grilled... nasty. So much for the 5 initial stars I had given it... quality at its worse... ABSOLUTELY NOT RETURNING! I reviewed this place sometime ago and are back to review my most recent experience ... I literally can't even begin eating this tacos because they look disgusting & you get ONE " chile toreado" for 0.99 cents ... menu says " Chiles Toreados " so I was expecting more then 1... what taqueria sells thr chiles toreados/grilled ... I mean CHILE not CHILES because again u only get one ? This one! Come on Its part of the whole taqueria experience. I say keep driving southeast to taqueria Revolucion.

Stopped by for Monday $1.99 Fish Tacos. Sweet deal for a solid fish taco. I like that the batter was not thick like other fish tacos. More fish and less batter is the way to go! Also, tried their Monster Rolled Tacos. Not your typical rolled tacos but delicious nonetheless. Just wish they served their horchata in a larger cup.

Pretty good taco shop! It's like a 3.5-4 stars from me. Cashier was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. The interior of the restaurant was clean and modern. The corn tortillas were very fresh and delicious. Meats and salsas solid. Reasonable pricing - don't forget to check in for a complimentary can of soda!

Initially, I gave this place 3 stars and I listed a few reasons why. The quality of their food was not lacking (except for the carne asada chips -- those were disappointing and tasted stale), but the portion size, amount of hot sauce and other things were not to my liking. I wanted to update my review because since then, I have probably ordered from this establishment at least five more times and they're just very consistent. The rolled tacos are pretty jumbo (they ARE "monster rolled tacos" I found out), their carne asada quesadilla is huge and filled with protein, and their al pastor burrito remains great (though small sometimes). Even though I wish they did a better job with filling their hot sauce amidst other minor things, the food here is great.

We have been customers since they opened years ago, but we ordered today and the taste and quality has definitely declined. We ordered birria, asada, and pastor tacos and they were stale, flavorless and the meat was gummy. Sorry to say that they have lost customers today.

New guy working the register has the worst attitude. Unfortunately I've had to interact with this guy the last 3 visits to Taco Lounge. Every single time he acts like he hates human beings. This dude's attitude along with their mediocre food means I'm never going there again and letting everyone know. Their carne asada is super fatty and for some reason they give minimal guacamole. I have to keep ordering extra guacamole. Carne asada burrito with extra guacamole ends up being $15! If your food is basic and your prices are high, at least have workers with a decent attitude. I'm done with this place.

I ordered out of here a few times because of its walking proximity. I've tried a variety of their tacos (steak, pork, fish, and chicken) and burritos. The food is average and sometimes dry. The guacamole is meh. The best part is the sauces they offered, which I appreciated for adding flavor to my food and that they offer take out.

Okay, housesitting my parents home and Doordash has me trying out new places I would never think to order from! My husband and I ended up order Taco Lounge for dinner, he ordered a Birria quesadilla and I ordered carne asada fries. When it first arrived I was very underwhelmed, my fries were a little plain no onions or tomato's, the fries were soggy and there very little flavor in the meat, the one saving grace was the hot sauce, I wish they would have given more than 4 hot sauces, 2 of each, but both of them were very flavorful. As for the birria quesadilla, there was way too many onions, I'm an onion girl and there was way too many! It was a little disappointing to be honest.

Not a fan... We decided to give this place a try because it's close and we've heard good things about it. Definitely not a fan! Prices are pretty high for subpar food. Carne Asada was super fatty and chewy and my burrito was under seasoned, my sons tacos were salty. My husbands burrito was full of fatty meat. My daughter said her mushroom tacos were ok so that was cool I guess. Am I missing something here because there are a lot of good reviews... did we just visit when they were having an off day?

just had the worst experience coming here. I called and no answer for over an hour. Came to see why and the girl literally was misting the calls. I could see from my car that they were purposely not answering which was super annoying. assuming I didnt speak Spanish the cashier told a female employee "oh she was the one calling" they made up this crazy story the phone wasn't working like yeah right. then they made my tacos wrong and the girl was trying to tell me I told her my order wrong. I come here often but this will be my last. so disappointed. also my tacos were just AWFUL cold and stale it wasn't worth my money honestly.

Food is delicious but the customer service is horrible. They look like they hate there job and really don't want to serve you. ATTITUDE!

Annoyed. By the time I got home (I don't live far at all), the LITTLE BIT of guacamole they did put on my rolled tacos was black! Tacos were soggy because they place them on a bed of cold, wet lettuce. Meat was very under seasoned with no taste at all. Same for the birria taco. Meat was flavorless, chewy and tough. I won't be back.

I had their bean burrito and it was alright. I wasn't sure about the cheese they used. I think that threw off the taste of the burrito. So this time they get 3 stars. I'll try them again to see if I get the same feeling
