Taco Mac Decatur 240 W Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 The Service was good, our waitress was very nice and kind. The food was okay. We order Wings and they were not crispy and the season that was used wasn't flavorful. But other than that for something where you can get a drink, and watch the game it not a bad place to go especially something that closes at 2am. They always have good food. And the service INSIDE the restaurant is fine. But the past 3x over the past month have been difficult when getting to-go meals. First, every time you order, you're told "your order will be ready in no less than 30 minutes". But every time I go in for pick up, the restaurant is basically empty. Why does it take 40 minutes to grill a piece of salmon? The second time I ordered food, I was on hold for 8 minutes. I hung up and called back and my order was instantly taken. The third time, I was in hold for 6 minutes and the phone "somehow" hung up. I called back and told them their phone hung up on me. No apology. Just straight to the order. I'd hate to try ordering food if the restaurant were actually packed. But they get 3 🌟 for good food, late hours, and good in-store table service. -2 🌟 for less than desirable to-go service.

2-5-2019 - Tuesday night at Taco Mac. Not too crowded, but steady crowd for during the week. Greeted and quickly seated. Greeter took our drink order, and wiped off the table. Our waiter came later. He took our order. Ordered a side of onion rings. Caution if you order them, they're $6+, and you only get 6 and they're not all the same size. They came out without the sauce, and the server said it was .65 cents. Our waiter said it was supposed to be included, and made it right. Our food came out later. 2 orders of Nachos All-the-way, no beans, no chili; Mushroom Burger with fries; and Chicken fingers with fries. Nacho chips were hard and stale, and the fries were cold. Our server was hesitant. The manager walked by and saw we weren't eating, so decided to make it right. The greeter who seated us also pitched in to make things right as well. Hats off to them both. I ended up with a hotter fresher Nacho plate, my wife got Shrimp Tacos instead, and my son fresh fries. So the night ended better than it started. Previous trip - Busy night, for a Tuesday and NBA playoff and Braves game on. We were seated, first booth had crumbs in it. We were going to move to middle section with more light, by Chantel, our eventual server, but the potential lady seemed disinterested. So we went back where we were in a different booth. Chantel was professional and friendly. She took our order, and because it was so late, and you can't miss and match taco options without paying a diffetent price we chose the Nachos All-the-way, with ground beef and no beans. Chantel came back and made sure we wanted ground beef only not chili, which comes with beans. Meal was good, and nacho chips could've been hotter. Otherwise sevice went well and all were friendly.

I honestly had the best Mac n cheese I've ever had here. It's got a little spice to it and the chicken is great. If you want to save some money, order off the kids menu and it comes with a good size meal - I got 2 chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and a moon pie. I went when it first opened and the service was not great but they were teaching staff so it makes sense and they'll get the swing of things.

Overall, the food was pretty good. The starter chips and dip were good—nothing special, but good. My entree of wings were very good! Flavorful, the right amount of spice, and I appreciated that the wings were pretty big. Fries were nice too. They weren't the best wings I've ever had, but I would go back. Also, the cocktail I got (Staycation) was excellent! It was like a pina colada, but better.

Table for 2 for Dinner As we approached, we pulled into the small outside parking lot that is right next to the restaurant. Parking here is free for Taco Mac patrons. There is additional paid street parking in the surrounding area. As we entered, we were greeted by a hostess that had low energy and mumbled to follow her. She led us to an available booth, not too far from the front. After a few minutes, our server arrived. We advised we needed some more time to figure out our beer and food choices. We scanned the QR code on the table to pull up the extensive beer selection. I decided to order a beer flight of 4 different styles and wifey ordered her favorite Margo Cart Wheat. Wifey needed some more time to choose an entree. The restaurant/bar was not busy, but the beer was a little slow to make it to the table. Wifey decided on the Chicken Tinga Nachos and I ordered the Southern Chicken Sandwich with tater tots. We noticed the food was slow to arrive, as well. My chicken sandwich arrived with fries instead of the tater tots I ordered. The server checked his sheet and verified my tots request. He said I could keep the fries and he would bring an order of tots. He made good on that claim and arrived quickly with the order. The sandwich itself was pretty generic and looked like it was on a regular hamburger bun. Overall, it was ok with my tater tots. Wifey’s entree was not your traditional chicken nachos. It was a deconstructed version of Nachos. She received one plate of chips and folded flour tortillas and another plate of a cheesy chicken mixture. She treated it like a huge dip, scooping up the cheesy chicken mix with the chips. She said it was OK and had enough to take some home. Wifey visited the bathroom and advised that it was clean, but “smelled like a sewer”. The place was not crowded at all, but the overall service was slow. This is in a great location and most likely we will be back, but our experience was average.

This was my first time go tomTaco Mac. The food and drinks was good. Server could of done better with been more attentive.

The food was okay…my son and I went during lunch time….the restaurant was not busy at all but our service was still very slow and lackluster. The waitress was not attentive…welllllllllll she paid attention when she saw she didn’t get a tip…she grabbed the receipt crumpling it in the process to let me know her distain for not receiving a tip…I tip for good friendly service… I don’t tip mediocrity!!! I will not return 👎🏼
