The 10 Best Sports Bars In Atlanta

"Even with Hudson Grille just across the street, the Midtown Taco Mac isn't worried about competition. That's because it knows it’s got history (locals have wiped their chins at area Taco Mac locations since ’79), a booth-filled dining area, and a whopping 17 wing flavors on its side. If you’re in the mood for some heat, their fried Cajun Voodoo Magic wings will bring it on like a 10-piece cheer squad. And thanks to their solid wings and several TVs positioned around the space, the Mac is always a hot spot on game days." - juli horsford, nina reeder, demarco williams

The 11 Best Wing Spots In Atlanta

"Staring rival Hudson Grille down from across Peachtree Street in Midtown, this ATL fave doesn’t blink an eye because it knows it’s got history (locals have wiped their chins at area Taco Mac locations since ’79), a booth-filled dining area, and a whopping 17 wing flavors on its side. If you’re in the mood for some heat, fried Cajun Voodoo Magic wings hit the spot. But where Taco Mac separates itself from its neighbors is with juicy, oven-roasted options you can coat in barbecue or any other sauce." - demarco williams, juli horsford

The Best Beer Places To Impress Out-Of-Towners

"This chain has justly become renowned for their “never frozen” wings coupled with a sports bar theme. And their dedication to pampering beer lovers is equally appreciated. They have weekly pint nights, and each location even has a feature called “Live Beer Stats” online to inform patrons of every beer style available and the most recent keg being tapped (it’s refreshed every five minutes). The Metropolis location on Peachtree Street in Midtown currently touts 134 brews on tap, 74 HD TVs, and attracts a diverse crowd cheering for their favorite squads while stacking bones from drums and flats. Google
The food was disgusting . It took them 40 minutes to bring out the wings , they were cold on the inside and uncooked. The sauce was also off . Everything about the experience is disappointing .

We were very well looked after by Kristina. She was very attentive and friendly. Her service made a difference in our perception of the place. Regarding parking, the area is a bit difficult to park cars in. Otherwise, we would definitely go back!

Definitely won’t be back. Food was SUPER greasy. Ordered fried pickles and Philly egg rolls as an app. They were both dripping in grease. Egg rolls didn’t have any flavor. Burger, nachos, wings.. wings were cold. They were barely even warm. Nacho tasted like it was just chili. Hubby liked the burger, but I didn’t think it had any flavor. Service was good.

As a Food Blogger my one complaint with this location is that they sold me undercooked tortilla chips. They were greasy and rubber not crispy at all. My wings were okay. I got the three island sauce. My wife for the beef tacos and they were pretty good, they didn’t come with a sides or anything. Our server was great even though she had a full section.

Food was my mission because I was hungry after walking around the downtown Atlanta area all day. I was looking for a restaurant that offered a diverse menu because all I knew was I was hungry, but I did not know what I was hungry for. My order: *** Roasted Parmesan Zucchini: This type of dish is generally not something I would order. But I am glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered this appetizer. The zucchini was perfectly roasted where it a nice crisp on the outside yet soft juicy inside. *** Silver Comet with fries: Honestly, I think I was the comet that destroyed this burger! It lasted literally two minutes maximum from the moment I took the first bite, beast mode. The burger was so simple, but that was what made it so delicious (guacamole, pepper jack cheese, grilled jalapeño peppers, and chipotle mayo). This sweet and spicy burger was my favorite thing I ordered. *** 20 Wings (chili mango/sweet chili sesame): The wings were not as satisfactory as the Roasted Parmesan Zucchini and Silver Comet. I did like the two sauce options I chose (chili mango and sweet chili sesame), but I did not care for the wings themselves. They were very small wings with very little meat on them. I was hoping for something that would be more filling.

I ate at a Taco Mac almost 10 years ago, but can't remember the experience. While trying to decide what we wanted, someone in our party said that didn't want any tacos. As we passed by we saw the "National Wings Day" being advertised and everyone was sold. We didn't have to wait to be seated (party of 8, time - 2:30 pm) and our server came right out to take our orders. Our server, Charity was amazing and very observant. We didn't have to ask for napkins, water, or straws. The food was delicious. I'm not one who experiences with different wing flavors. I generally stick to dry rub lemon pepper. The dry rub lemon pepper wings here are, to date, the best I've ever had. Also, the Mozzarella sticks, Philly Cheese Eggrolls, Queso Dip Con Carne and the Cuban Sandwich were also very good. I'm pretty sure I'll be back before the weekend ends.

Great bar & grille food, VERY friendly wait staff. I visited 3 times while on a business trip to Atlanta and enjoyed each visit. Lots of TV's to watch sports too. I was able to watch both the NFL Draft and Stanley Cup Playoffs without trouble.

It was ok. We accidentally found this spot after we didn't want to wait an hour for a brunch table. It was pretty early after opening so we didn't have a wait here at all. Our Server was quick, attentive and got our order correct and expedited quickly. The Philly rolls were what you would expect crunchy, juicy, and flavorful although the portion was small, even for an appetizer. The spinach dip was just ok. It came with Pita and Tortilla chips. The chips were a turn-off for me as they were big clumps of chips, I felt like it would've been ok to take them apart for presentation purposes. I'd give this place another go for sure.
