Taco Mac is always a hit or miss for me, and it really depends on the location. Food will always be consistent whichever Taco Mac you go to but the service is literally all or nothing. This is the closest Taco Mac near my house, and my friend and I wanted some late night munchies along with a beer to kick off the weekend.
We came around 11pm on a Friday, and I will tell you now -- that is not the best time to be visiting Taco Mac. Service will more likely not be good, as they're trying to wrap up for the night and it's just not a good time to go wherever you are.
We were seated immediately and our server took our order. We got all the way nachos and some beers. Can I just say how Taco Mac is really not affordable anymore? It used to be you can get a nice meal for around $15 pre-drinks but now they upcharge on fries for the wings and it's overall just expensive now. I blame inflation.
Service was a little weird -- our server would be nice one time and then a few minutes later, she would seem annoyed. She did mention that she was tired and she had to work a double.. I was in a pretty good mood so I tried to have small talk and make her feel better and she seemed to appreciate that and was kinder to us. I thought it was funny that we had to work for our server to be nice to us, but I was in a good mood overall and I didn't want to let something small bother me.
The nachos came out actually really quickly -- probably the quickest service I've received at Taco Mac. Nachos All The Way is such a classic at Taco Mac and it never fails, though I will say I just feel like the toppings get less and less every menu renewal they have.
Overall -- we had a pretty decent experience, especially for the late-night visit we did. It wasn't too crowded, service wasn't horrible, but most of all - I had a great time. I can't wait to be back as football season has started. Taco Mac is truly a staple of Georgia.
