The Taco Maya in Logan Square is the only one I attended. I am giving this five stars because they go out of their way to provide a good experience and the food is reliably good and affordable. There are self-serve aspects to this place. I might consider it "fast casual" but the employees will serve you if you stay. Optimally, this is a takeout joint. The space feels a bit cavernous with a long walk from the door to where you order in a room with white floors and walls. The food itself is good, not mind-blowing, but it is unpretentious, fresh, and tasty. There are a variety of options and the three tacos deal is the best option. You can get specialty tacos for a reasonable price this way. The portions are fine for the price. Go with these as expectations and I highly recommend it. The rice and beans are filling and well-cooked. At one point they started giving me a box of chips in addition to my orders with a hand-written note on the box, which is nice. The chips are quite good.

Ate here a couple of weeks ago. I was super excited to try out the steak tacos. Didn’t quite meet my expectations. The music was super loud could barely hear the waiter let alone the person across from me that was eating with me. Cool vibes to the place. Awesome idea, but I wish the meat was seasoned better . Super chewy and dry.

I stopped in to just grab one taco to go and it was such a pleasant experience. Everyone working here is super friendly and they provided some great recommendations when I asked what was good to try. They even offered me water while I waited and made sure I knew about the salsa bar before I left. I had the Rib Eye Steak Taco and it was great! I would recommend trying the avocado salsa as well, it was mild but had good flavor. The steak seemed perfectly cooked and was very flavorful as well! They have a cool bar area and their sign promotes Happy Hour with $4 beer, $5 shots, and $8 margaritas from 4-7pm, Monday through Friday. I definitely plan to come back and try more!

Google
Super awesome place with great atmosphere!!! Complimentary chips and salsa always a plus. Fair prices for the area. I got the kids meal and it was plenty of food for myself!!! Burrito was solid (not authentic but tasty!) I would come back to this location— service was great as well

Google
We were looking for a last minute dinner option and picked this place because of the high Google rating. Honestly, I don’t see how this place has managed to get such a high average rating. For a Saturday at dinner, the place looked deserted. One person sat us and told us to order with a QR code, and then a minute later a waiter showed up and told us to order with him. He seemed like even he wasn’t sure what the service setup was and asked for our names before remembering he would bring the food to us. After he brought our food, he never once checked on us, and after sitting and waiting for 10-15 minutes after we finished eating, we had to get up and go ask him to check us out. He was just sitting on his phone the whole time. The prices weren’t awful, but it felt like robbery paying a tip for service that was less than what I’d consider the bare minimum. The food was fine. Not BAD, but not great. Definitely nothing we’d go out of our way for again considering how many Mexican restaurants there are (even specifically Mexican/Indian fusion) in Chicago

Google
Stopped by this weekend to try the tacos and they did not disappoint. We got the chicken tinga, potato, Mahi Mahi and they were so tasty and delish. This might be my new favorite taco spot in Logan Square. Every bite is packed with flavor and you can pick your own salsas at their little salsa station. I love how spicy and well seasoned everything was. Highly recommend

Google
This is a great spot for a quick lunch or a group that doesn't want a noisy atmosphere. All the food looks great. You cannot go wrong with any one of them if you are open minded and want a cultural fusion experience. They give you free chips and salsa. The chips have Indian spices. You can have a choice of spicy level salsa. Cauliflower 65, Chole (chickpeas) Tikki, and Chicken Tikka Tacos were all very good and flavorful. They offer churros with chocolate and caramel.

Google
The service was great! Our waitress took our drinks order soon after being seated and checked in often. She made sure we got our orders in before happy hour ended :) food was great! I got the 2 taco plate with 2 pastor tacos and it was delicious. The queso blanco was a very good portion- we had to take some to go! Overall a great place!

Juan Carlos L.

Yelp
Very tasty! Great service, tacos de camarón are definitely delicious!!! Their sauce variety is excellent!

Yelp
We had left over steak that we were turning into tacos and naturally Taco Maya seemed like the perfect place to supplement our meal with some sides. Everything we got was phenomenal. Their elote was 10/10 as were their dips. The tacos looked delicious. We can't wait to come back to try their entire menu and of course get more elote.

Yelp
Definitely a great place to get some late night eats in. I love that. They have some Indian fusion tacos. My favorite tacos are the Samosa taco and the Nashville cauliflower one. My husband loves the al pastor burrito. if you're looking to indulge, the loaded fries are also delicious when you go in, you can get unlimited salsa from the salsa bar, and they have multiple very delicious options ranging from mild to spicy, depending on what you like. Definitely worth checking out the next time you're looking for a late night meal. I have tried all of their locations and the quality is always great!

Yelp
Tried to hit Lula today for lunch but they are closed on Tuesdays so we wandered over to Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar. The music was bumpin', the service was quick and friendly, and the tacos were so good!!! I already can't wait to go back. I can't stop thinking about the Nashville Hot Chicken taco. It was spicy and sweet and crispy and crunchy and drenched in sauce. The tacos were overstuffed and fresh. House music and delicious unique tacos...yes yes yes. Logan Square, you still have my taco-shaped heart!

Yelp
Being that I sporadically visit Taco Maya - Rosemont, I was happy to see Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar as a hot new business trending in Logan Square because it is closer to my neighborhood on the west-side of Chicago. It was a must visit for me because I have had nothing but good experiences with the location in Rosemont. Since this portion of Logan Square neighborhood along Milwaukee Ave is always congested, I ordered online with yelp which is always convenient. I have never had beyond meat vegan chorizo, so I ended up ordering two of their veggie chorizo tacos w/ a jarritos! Ooouuu, the Grapefruit jarritos was so hard to pass up because it is my favorite flavor. The only option for parking I noted is along N Milwaukee Ave. During this visit, I was fortunate enough to find a parking spot directly outside of the restaurant which was pay by the plate. And I paid only $1.04 for no more than 25 minutes which I did not use entirely because I was in-and-out with my order. I encountered a gorgeous young woman at the register who I confirmed my order for pick-up with which awaited me. After confirming, she grabbed my jarritos out of the freezer, then directed me towards the salsa bar where I immediately looked for avocado salsa - mild which I have enjoyed in the past. Service: 4 (Good) Inside, Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar gave off a lively vibe with its lovely interior along with its folding glass doors open. I chuckled because being the savage I am rather than using the main door to enter, I walked through their folding glass doors instead which serves as an inviting feature to their dining area. Now as for dine-in, there are plenty of tables with seats available in the dining area. Even with only a few people inside during my visit, the atmosphere at Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar felt very enticing. As I left, I could not help but notice drivers looking more than once as they drove along Milwaukee Ave. Atmosphere: 5 (Great) As for my food, I must say that the veggie chorizo tacos were satisfying but would have dazzled my taste buds more with the right salsa or dressing. I think next time, if I do not order their Burrito Bowl, which I have enjoyed at its Rosemont location, I will try the veggie chorizo tacos with a different salsa or dressing. Food: 4 (Good) I would gladly order from Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar again in the future when in the Logan Square area, or if I get a craving for something ordered previously. Service: 4 | Atmosphere: 5 | Food: 4 Recommendations: Burrito Bowl (No meat) ~ Selfcare is healthcare. ~ Thomas G

Yelp
Definitely a 3.5 as most of the food was solid but a few items I threw away after 1 bite. I wanted to try most of the Proteins to provide a thorough review: The GOOD Maya Salad with Shrimp Also Good: 1 Nashville Hot Chicken Taco, Flour Tortilla, Pico de Gallo 1 Grilled Chicken Taco, Flour Tortillas, American, Pickled Jalapeño, Grilled Onions, Rice 2 tacos were good but for different reasons. The Nashville Hot was DELICIOUS because the chicken was fried perfect and the sauce was Damn Good! The slaw has too much mayo but it wasn't horrible The Grilled chicken was Nasty, however the pickled jalapeños, rice, and onions - all Extra Cost- were delicious and fresh! The BAD: Ground Beef Burrito, Suizo Sauce, Rice, No Beans The Beef is simmered in spices that were GROSS! burrito was missing the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese which added to the disappointment. 1 bite and Garbage I had 2 sauces - the mild was sweet and good! The habanero sauce was liquid and no heat I'll return but try other items

Yelp
I never thought I would say the sentence, "I had indian infused tacos." But here I am, I did eat them, and I loved it. Gotta say I truly enjoyed my time at Taco Maya. The place was really creative and just different. They are not a big spot, but they seem to have a great deal of personality. What more do you want, right? Bigger doesn't mean better. We came Saturday night and sat by the bar. The music was perfect, upbeat but not loud. The bartender was incredibly helpful. He was chatty and engaging. I appreciated that he was able to provide some great suggestions for food and drinks. He seemed to put a lot of love and thought in his drinks, and it showed. Their waffle fries loaded with cheese, and their cauliflower tacos may have been the most amazing thing I have eaten. I can't wait to come back again. You should visit too my fellow reader, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Middling score because my experience was fine; I'd unlikely return though with so many options in the neighborhood. I made the mistake by checking Yelp and seeing 5 stars but not doing a deeper dive. It seems that there was a limited number of reviews and of those they were primarily from people who attended a Yelp event. The margaritas were good. The protein bowl was ok, as were the fries. Mixed reviews within my group on the churros. It was clean and spacious but overall uninspiring. The background music was loud enough that the waitress missed hearing that one of my dining partners had ordered a meal (too loud).

Yelp
I love the American tacos! Just the way granny made them. I recommend the lime green hot sauce it's so good to dip! Good lemonade. A great concept for this cuisine. I love the decor, it's comfortable w/ great tunes on the radio! The staff are so friendly I love them!

Yelp
Was and amazing experience, with a friend. Service was awesome with a smile. What brought me here was the fusion of Indian and Mexican dishes. And they did not disappoint. I'll be returning.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to share in great conversations over an Indian infused taco meal with fellow Yelpers this past Thursday. Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar did not disappoint, and with Summertime Chi around the corner, the food experience here promises to be delicious, fun, and entertaining. This isn't your regular taco experience. The flavors are inspired by Indian cuisine where you can turn down or turn up the heat! Don't think that the Indian inspired experience stops at the tacos. Oh no. The drinks are just as delicious, and with the various weekday specials or with the Flight option that is reasonably priced, you can come in and try them all. This Logan Square gem is not like the other locations. You are going to get something new and different, and are going to want to come back for more. Don't just take my word for it. Go experience "The Experience". It's a Vibe.

Yelp
The place was empty when we arrived, but the Yelp reviews convinced us to at least stay for one taco. It is a recently opened establishment, so it makes sense why it isn't packed (yet). We ordered drinks (the margarita and a delicious vodka cumin prosecco thing), and we were immediately brought six different salsas with chips and seasoned cashews. All of them slapped, and this is coming from a well-salsa-ed Texan. We had four tacos: chicken tikka, samosa, masala potato, and cauliflower 65. Each of them were so well-seasoned and flavorful. The masala potato legit made me tear up, as it reminded me of true Indian street food. The samosa taco was so good that we ordered a second! The service was top notch. Everyone was incredibly nice and the server offered amazing suggestions for what to order. They seemed to truly love being there and making us feel welcome. They even insisted on a free churro dessert before we left! The ambiance feels a little more casual but we were into that. Their front windows open completely for a patio vibe and they had ample booth seating too. All in all, this is going to be a regular for us. I'm already craving it again and have plans to bring friends!

Yelp
Creative, flavorful Indian-fusion tacos in a fun vibe at a rarely low price for the neighborhood. A new staple for me! I got 2 tacos (the tikka and cauliflower 65) for $8, and they were INCREDIBLE! The tacos are loaded with fresh herbs and the intense seasonings that remind me of homemade Indian and Mexican food. The staff was SO attentive and warm. They consistently checked on us but never hovered. You can tell everyone is deeply invested in Taco Maya's success. The indoor/outdoor patio vibe of the entire place is perfect for summer. The music is lit and the drinks are strong, so I could see this place popping at night. (Don't forget the churros for dessert, they're incredible!)

Yelp
Came here for lunch and had a great lunch and great service. The menu is Mexican-Indian fusion and both styles were delicious. Ruchi was our waitress and was very helpful & attentive. Chips & salsa were provided & the chips have a good seasoning on them. I had the Samosa, Yucatán and Korean Beef tacos, which were all delicious but the samosa was my favorite. The spicy pineapple margarita wasn't too sweet and had good heat. Will return!

Yelp
We came in on a hot day during happy hour and enjoyed our $8 watermelon mint margaritas - very refreshing! We also got free chips and salsa to start off the meal. I loved the different salsa options, but the seasoning on the chips was a bit much and too salty. Our service was great throughout, and we ordered the cauliflower as an appetizer. This was a big portion to share between two and really tasty and spicy. Lots of sauce and flavor. For my entree, I got the protein bowl and subbed shrimp for the veggie chorizo. I wasn't a fan of them charging me extra for the shrimp as if I added it to the bowl, but oh well. This dish was also very saucy and flavorful. This was a common theme - I think everything was delicious and great portions, but a lot of salt and flavors that needed to be washed down with our margaritas and water. The wait staff was very sweet and gave us complementary churros as well. These mini churros were a nice tasty end to our meal!

Yelp
Everything I've had here is absolutely delicious. It's my go to spot when I have no clue what I want to eat. I've only ordered takeout but it's always quick, correct, and delicious. The salsa bar is a nice touch, and we want to eat in soon!
google avatar

Jess H.

Yelp
I came here for happy hour with my girlfriends. We enjoyed $8 margaritas and they had a taco special each day of the week. The special is only for one taco though. It was a fusion type of taco place with unique flavors. I had the spicy pineapple margarita and it was good! Tacos were also good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I would come back!
google avatar

Lolly R.

Yelp
As a semi recent transplant from LA and being a life long Californian and part Mexican I have been made wary of any taqueria even close to Milwaukee but I have to say this place is delicious, creative, and cheaper than taco trucks! Plus they have a full bar, and free chips and salsas. I haven't seen a good salsa bar in a minute. They have a taco deal every day and Tuesdays you get one free! The dollar samosa taco on Mondays is delicious as well and super comforting. I genuinely highly recommend and Ruchi is an angel! Best service ever
google avatar

Joy O.

Yelp
I came in at like 2:15pm on a Thursday afternoon. The best chips and salsa came to the table right when I sat down. I got here a little before happy hour, but I still tried three margaritas because they were delicious with fresh house made juices! I had watermelon, guava and spiced pineapple. They kept getting better. I had a traditional steak taco, a paneer taco on a flour tortilla, and a chicken tinga taco. Every bite was a tastebud party! Ruchi was the nicest funniest waitress/bartender, and she brought out the best churros I've ever had at the end. It was the grand finale. I'm definitely coming back for Happy Hour and $1 taco Mondays.

Yelp
Hands down the best tacos in Logan Square. Very creative selection of tacos on the menu. Guaranteed you'll see tacos you've never even thought of and they're really good. Their tequila is fabulous, they have great margarita choices and they have margarita FLIGHTS are you kidding me!!
google avatar

Wing C.

Yelp
It's not on the menu, but you can get a taco dinner with two or three tacos with rice and beans. They have a large variety of tacos. I tried to pick one from each section so I got chicken tikka, al pastor, and paneer. Each taco was good. I also loved all the salsas from their salsa bar. They have garage style windows so it's great for a nice day too.

Shannon H.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the server was great with our three wild little children.
google avatar

Meadow J.

Yelp
Drinks, service and food are amazing! Can't forget about the ambiance either. The carnita tacos were our favorite!! The margarita flight is a must try. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is the ninth location in the state and fourth location here. Jhoom in Hindi - dancing & having fun. This has a full bar but the same size as the Lakeview location. The Staff and service is wonderful.

sarah k.

Yelp
We've ordered from here a few times and really enjoyed it, however, the last time we ordered they put handfuls of cilantro and raw onions on the burrito bowl and tostados. Neither description for the burrito bowl or tostado mention cilantro or raw onions, and it should come as no surprise that people liking cilantro or raw onions on their food is around 50/50. It was an unpleasant surprise to see ingredients included that we do not like, were not advertised in the description, and were not offered as an option to remove in the Uber eats app, and took considerable effort to remove. There were so many tiny chopped raw onions that entire room smelled of onions within minutes of opening our takeout bags. Very disappointed. Customers expect extreme transparency when it comes to what is included on an entree so they can avoid things they either don't like and/or have allergies to.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
This is definitely a new spot I'll be hitting up all summer. Their tacos are super cheap and loaded with fresh ingredients. You get fresh chips and salsa with your meal and they have a fun Indian spice twist. Our server was super lovely, but the restaurant was super loud for no reason. There was only one other dinner table and they were blasting music. I felt this was very unnecessary and made conversation very difficult. I got 1 chorizo taco and 2 Al pastor. The Al pastors were very good, but the chorizo was average and I probably won't get that one again. For the price, the quality was very good.

Martin D.

Yelp
This restaurant has great atmosphere and very good food and lunch specials. the food that has great flavor and awesome service from ruchi.
google avatar

Ashvin P.

Yelp
Awesome addition to the neighborhood! The food is amazing, from the house made chips to the delicious fusion tacos, and incredible salsas. I had the chicken tikka tacos and the flavor profile was on point and nicely spiced. For desert we tried the churros which had a delicious filling of butter scotch and caramel. The service was so friendly as well, and the ambiance with the windows open makes this an enjoyable place to have a drink and some tacos. Highly recommend and look forward to making this a regular stop.

Yelp
Food was delicious and music was fun! Employees are all super friendly. They have a great salsa bar as well!

Yelp
Stumbled on this place for a late night taco and they did not disappoint! The Indian fusion tacos and drinks are nothing short of amazing! The entire staff was friendly and attentive. I can't forget to mention how the unique music mix set the mood for a great meal! Perfect execution and we can't wait to go back!

Caleb K.

Yelp
First off- Food was great! Tacos were pretty bomb--especially the Signature!! Our waitress was also great- I did not catch her name but she was excellent! She was also the bartender and her margaritas were delicious! Now the not so good- SANITATION! There was a group of about 8 people and they were helping themselves to whatever they wanted behind the bar. One gentleman who has never poured a beer before(his entire beer was pure head) was just walking back and touching things and opening cooler doors. My big issue- I'm a watcher sooooo I watch everything people are doing. When another employee came to clean up our plates (I purposely put the chip basket on top of our dirty napkins just to see how they would "clean" it) he put the dirty chip basket right on top of all the others. Service from our waitress 10-10 Food 10-10 The other employee(based on the owner's picture on Yelp...it was him) 0-10. You are gross sir Wont go back...they are dirty

Mark C.

Yelp
We had the Chingon and Al Pastor tacos. The food was incredible, especially the Chingon Taco which is a combo of marinated steak and chorizo with green onion, melted cheese, onions and cilantro. I highly recommend also tacos with corn tortillas. They also have a full salsa bar (5 options) for dine-in with an array of options from mild to very spicy. The service was great and staff seemed to really take ownership of the place. It was very clean with a nice tech forward menu and ordering process. I'd put the Chingon taco as one of the best I've had in Chicago and that's considering 25-30+ joints I have tried. A great add to Logan Square

Brenda Z.

Yelp
My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my passing grade for an important exam. Needless to say i had a great time!! We learned that this location just opened and I want to say it's been my favorite one!! They have some options where they incorporate Indian food and I loved it. The samosa, steak and al pastor tacos were to die for. And let me tell you about the chips and salsa... we literally got two rounds of those. Definitely coming back
google avatar

Nelson H.

Yelp
Great service and the Indian fusion cocktails and tacos are fantastic! I don't think you can go wrong, but I'd highly recommend the chole tikki taco.
google avatar

Edwin G.

Yelp
Taco Maya has been one of my favorite places to stop by for tacos and margaritas. I would constantly visit their location in Niles due to my work commute, but when I heard they opened a location in Logan much closer to my evening commute it was a dream come true! I was stunned by their amazing decor and wall art! It only got better from there, this location has tacos that can only be found at this location that I would highly recommend! Their margarita selection is superb, this is the first location that I have ever tried a guava Margarita before and it did not disappoint, it was by far one of the best margaritas I've had. This is a perfect location for a weekend dinner with friends.

Teddy S.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Tacos tatsted great and the drinks were so good! Loved it so much! Can't explain it enough!

Phuong Ngan N.

Yelp
Their Indian infused tacos are pretty amazing. If you like Indian food, you gotta try their chicken 65 and samosa tacos. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good ambiance for casual hangout.

Debra F.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience at Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar. The tacos were excellent as were the margaritas. The fried ice cream looked so pretty and tasted even better. But the best part of this bar was the people who worked there. So friendly and a lot of fun and so nice. They even surprised us with churros. We highly recommend this place. And we will be back soon.

lex b.

Yelp
Food was not good. Menu items are listed at lower prices than you are charged for and they don't show you your bill prior to running your card. Service was ok, but that's because nobody else was in the restaurant. The 5 star reviews are based off of a yelp event.

Marissa M.

Yelp
My preface to this review is that it will not convey how fantastic this place truly is. In need of a quick place to eat before a concert, my husband and I ran into Taco Maya & Jhoom Bar. Because it was a new establishment, we told the staff helping us to pick their favorite tacos for our dinner. With multiple salsas to compliment their chips, a couple of tasty lagers, TRULY gourmet tacos (some were traditional favorites, while others were Indian/Mexican fusion), and a light churro dessert to satisfy our pallets, we left Maya Taco in awe. With service and a menu that make you want to stay 'till closing time, our only question was the bill. For an unbeatable feast, we expected and would have gladly paid so much more. In the words of an 80s icon...."I'll be back."

April A.

Yelp
Tacos were incredible! Good meat and veggie options. Great service and free chips and salsa and some churros to go!

Danielle S.

Yelp
I love this place. Great food with unique fusion recipes, reasonable prices, and the staff is always super pleasant!

Eli B.

Yelp
Samosa taco and churros were soooooooooooo good. Service was spectacular and quite easy on the eyes tbh. Even the music was like a club mix of Indian and reggaetón and I would have partied there all night if it had been a weekend.

Steve P.

Yelp
Outstanding all around. Taco selection amazing. They were delicious. Staff so down to earth and nice. Highly recommend!!

Shalini S.

Yelp
A lovely cozy atmosphere, vibrant with color and pop welcomes you in at first glance. The drinks were awesome (props to the batender who took care to understand my taste palate and made me a lovely concoction). My favorite tacos were the samosa taco, the chickpea taco and the spiced potato taco (I am vegetarian so I can't comment on the other ones but others in our dinner party loved them). The accompanying sauces at the sauce counter (there are like 10 to choose from) were awesome - the avocado one was my fav. Service was great and we were surprised with a caramel stuffed churro dessert - delectable! Totally recommend!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Inventive menu with great fusion tacos and amazing cocktails. Very attentive staff. Masala wings were fantastic.

Scott C.

Yelp
Awesome food, service!! Will be back. Salsa flight was a great start to the meal. Good luck Sam!
