Our server, Prachi, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was just right and enhancing the overall dining experience. She deserves raise in her pay for the best service. Overall, Taco Maya is a great spot if you’re looking to try something different yet comforting, with good food, thoughtful fusion, and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was great, customer service was fantastic Nagesh took care of me and my friends, drinks were top tier we got the margarita flights. First time here and definitely coming back again and I can’t forget about the sauce bar every single sauce was delicious.

Had such a great experience! Nagesh was our server and from the start he was super friendly and welcoming. He made us feel so comfortable it honestly felt like we’d known him for years. He was attentive, made sure our order was perfect, and kept checking in at just the right times. The food was great, but the service really made the experience stand out. This is hands down our favorite taco spot! The tacos are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made every single time. The meat is juicy, the toppings are balanced, and the tortillas taste amazing. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the whole place just has a great vibe. We keep coming back — and every time it’s just as good as the last. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved Taco Maya! Everything was fantastic—from the food to the service to the overall vibe. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Portions were generous and everything came out hot and delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. This place easily became one of my go-to spots for great Mexican food. Highly recommend! I tried this location. After trying the one on Lake street, next to the caputo's. Good food, chilled spot. Maybe a bit pricy for each individual taco, but hey. Try it. Always get the horchata!

Our food has always been good and service has been quick as well. I like their drinks, especially the pina colada juice one. I also like their selection of salsas

Always love coming here for shrimp tacos. Their sreak tacos isnt bad either. I love some branches because their horchata is unlimited and beside the soda but i think you just need to ask the staff for refills and the give it to you. The Maya Salad isnt really our thing although im not sure if it would have been betger with protien in it. Its casual fun place to hang out in. Will definitely be coming back! Happy eating!

Taco Maya had some delicious tacos that were very filling. We got some steak tacos and some shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and they did not disappoint. You can get American style or Mexican style tacos. They even got a salsa bar where you have different options for the type of salsa you like. My favorite is Jalapeño Hot has really good flavor. You also get chips and salsa if you dine in! They had alot of seating even a party room for bigger groups. Place was nice to hangout but just a few tables that could've been clean but nothing to bad. A little more pricey then your normal taco spot but i think its worth it. Also the Horchata was good and even better you get free Refills! Which you normally don't get for horchata, they also serve beer and coke in the bottle! Will be returning

Absolute waste of money! Atmosphere, food, drinks etc all rated for a fast food at best yet the price is for a high end restaurant. They charge you for a service fee and ask to tip, you have to order your food at the cashier then clean up your table. Spend that much money, definitely go to Fat Rosie's!!!

My daughter and I come here about once a week and we have never had bad food or service. If you're looking for authentic, this ain't it. HOWEVER, it is so freaking good and all their tacos are huge and delicious. Every. Single. ONE. I also love their salsa bar. I have to also state how nice everyone we've encountered here is and their impeccable service. We will always support this business and keep coming back. Pro tip: on weekdays during lunch hours, they have a 3 taco special that comes with rice, beans, and chips for only 10 bucks. What a steal.

First time here. Wife and I stopped in on a Monday afternoon. Wife got chicken tacos, I got a chicken tamale, & we got elotes to share. All the food was good. Wife isn't used to the onions being cooked, but she liked it. Elotes was very food. Tamale was fine. They have a bunch of sauce options as well! Some very hot (which I like)! Service was alright. Nothing special or great to point out. Was a bit weird that all our food came at different times, so we ate separately. Overall it was good.

Complete rip off, $20.00 spent and no food in the bag, the bag had no weight, the tacos $5.00 each had about 1 teaspoon of meat or cheese inside. Service was very slow which is confusing because the tacos were as light as a feather. Ambiance was a completely empty restaurant. Ever pick up a to go bag and the napkins & salsa weigh more than the food? No weight = No food. Very poor value. Taco Maya lacks a moral compass, greedy greedy greedy.

Really tasty tacos. Try several different types while you're there. Prices seem to have gone up a bit since I was last there, but that's true everywhere. Always very nice people working there.

Really enjoyed my meal at this place this is a sit down place no need to tip. they even have a private room too if someone wants to come with a big group of folks. the tacos were amazing. I got chicken and veggie tacos on white tortilla all were delicious. i also enjoyed the free chips and salsa very tasty. Def I highly recommend coming here even if u order to go and don't decide to stay. the location also is easy to get in and out and plenty of parking in the Plaza.

My food was so good! Hard to find a good taco place in Schaumburg but they did a great job! My tacos were so good and they have some interesting ones if you want to try something new! My fave. Is the chicken tikka! And omg don't even get me started on the salsas! It's hard to find a good creamy jalapeño to paid with my Al pastor! Shout it to Vedank Parshad my cashier he was super friendly and made great suggestions!

First time, trying out Taco Maya. I didn't realize it's a chain with many locations in Illinois. I would give this location a 4.5. Place was clean. Plenty of tables to sit and eat. Sauce bar. Service was good, it did not take them long to get your food to you if you are dining in. Prices range from cheap to slightly expensive for a taco. I like to try the speciality ones, so if the price matches the quality then I'm okay with that. They give you free chips and salsa while waiting. Chips are very good, not overly salty. I ordered the signature taco, dorado taco, chicken tinga taco, elotes, rice, and horchata. Signature 5/5 - very flavorful. Everything pairs well. Dorado 5/5 - fish was moist and i love that Chipotle Mayo that goes with it. Chicken tinga 5/5 - generous amount of meat and it wasn't dry. Rice 1/5 - i love Mexican rice but i would prefer it to be without the peas. Peas kind of ruined the taste for me. Elotes 5/5 - it has a little kick to it. Horchata 5/5 - one of the best ones I've had here. Good amount of cinnamon. Taco salad 5/5 was big and you get a large amount for the price.

I called over the phone and order stake burrito and when I came home it was chicken burrito. And i went back in the restaurant and talk to the guy who took my order and he started arguing that I order stake burrito instead of fixing the issue he started arguing. Absolutely zero experience in customer service. So I called the next day and talked to the manager and he said he will credit it back and he didn't. So I called again after 4 days and they keep lying and lying. This is how Indian owners do business with lying to the customers. So now I have to call my credit card and the state as well hopefully they will learn their lesson in customer service.

Met a friend here for fast casual counter service. Lot of interesting taco items and many food choices. I thought I'd go with the salad keeping it a little healthier and my friend said she really enjoys the chicken Tinga so I ordered that as a protein. Little disappointed as there wasn't much lettuce in the salad. With the dressing mixed in, I felt it was equal parts, lettuce, corn, and other toppings, so very saturated and not feeling healthy at all. They have a nice salsa bar and give you complementary chips with your order so that part was good. I guess I'd go back and try something else but not get the salad thinking it's healthy or at least a good amount of lettuce. Plenty of seating.

Slow service ,waited 15 mins for a cold burrito with barely any meat,20.70 cents for crap cold food,thought i would give another chance boy was i wrong

This was a last minute decision at 1030pm at night. Busy as all, I mean busy! Get up to the counter, the nice man at the counter was so helpful, and gave great recommendations. The place is not very big, but they get you in pretty quick. The food was amazing!!!! The prices were within reasonable. I loved the chips and salsa bar......my favorite, more places should have that! For sure going back!

I've ordered takeout for lunch at Taco Maya several times and it's always good. They do a fantastic job with the packaging to make sure it arrive properly. I typically order the tacos with beans and rice and it always tastes fresh.

Found Taco Maya on Yelp as I was looking for a place to meet a friend; mid-way point. While the menu and food choices are impressive, the food quality is subpar. The chips and salsa remind me of store-bought chips and salsa. I had the steak fajitas which were gross the steak was tough, overcooked and had no flavor. The sides were decent and made the meat nearly edible. The service was okay. I ordered flour tortillas, got corn instead. Easy swap, no biggie. Ordered. Guacamole with the chips and salsa and they forgot the Guacamole. As for the ambiance of the place, it was on the cleaner side. If given the choice of Taco Maya or a local Mexican restaurant with authentic food, I suggest the authentic route. You will likely get better food for a lower cost.

We've ordered takeout from Taco Maya many times. The food is very good and always ready pretty quickly for pickup. I'll usually order the chicken taco dinner or the Al pastor taco dinner with onions and cilantro. They serve their tacos with grilled onions rather than raw, but I like them either way. If you'd like, you can choose 3 different tacos for your dinner. They have a wide variety of tacos to choose from, including a Nashville taco, which is nice and spicy! I really like their shrimp tacos, too. I want to try the others because they have so many! My boyfriend loves their burritos. Sometimes, we have people over and will order from here- everyone is always loving the food! I can't comment on the atmosphere because I've never eaten inside, but I can say the service is great from all the times we've ordered from them.

This place is horrible! I have given it to try and both times not only did they make my tacos wrong they forget food. They never give you the size. Do you have to call back in. And even then I had to go to corporate not worth the money.

I'm leaving this review because I really enjoyed the Niles location and it was complete accident when I found this taco place. I recently went to the one in Schaumburg. I had the same experience as the one in Niles. I would recommend going here if you're looking for fast food, Mexican food they have a selection of sauces for your tacos and tortas and pretty much anything you want to put sauce on. I like that they're open late at the Schaumburg location.

Taco Maya is in a little strip mall and offers a lot of indoor as well as an outdoor dining area. Put your order in at the counter then go to the self serve taco sauces and beverage stations. I ordered takeout of the 3 taco plate (soft shell chicken taco's) that comes with rice and beans which was pretty good. I like that they have the self serve taco sauce station with many choices from mild to xtra hot and other fun ones to try that I hadn't heard of before. The beans were put in a little taco bowl so they didn't run into the tacos in the takeout container. Tacos were assembled nicely and were flavorful. Packaging for takeout was great. Although this is a good place, with so many taco places I'm not limiting myself to one. This place is good for carryouts. It's fun to try different taco places as each has their own uniqueness.

Was in town for the week and wanted to try this Mexican spot. For appetizers we got the guacamole and queso. The queso was great and light while the guac was packed with flavor. The tacos I got were also quite flavorful. The paneer taco was my favorite. I got the tacos with flour tortillas but will probably get it with corn tortillas next time. The falafel taco was pretty interesting and the first time I've had a taco like that. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was not too busy. Food was well priced and the staff were great. Overall, a great spot for a good taco and appetizer. Will have to come back and try some of their non-taco dishes!

Very expensive. Over $20 for a 3 taco dinner Went home and there was no salsa, no limes, zero condiments. Flavor was average. Not going back when I can get that for half in other taqueria.

I love this place but I cannot stand cooked onions on tacos, Idk if that's controversial but you NEED to specify raw onion at this place.

Lost one star only because yesterday was the first time I tried a burrito bowl to go, and it was the worst decision I ever ever made. the rice comes really smashed and overcooked and it comes in this weird cardboard box with everything on top of it. It felt soggy. I couldn't eat it. Also, just a heads up when you order online, it says the burrito bowl comes with protein but then when you select your choice of protein, it charges you double so be aware of that . It's safe to say that the tacos are the best thing I've tried there and that's the only thing I will order there from now on.

Extremely high prices for mid quality food 5 steak tacos a burrito meal and chips and salsa running over 60 dollars and chips and salsa were bad not worth the price when you can go too panchos or fire burrito and get the same food and better for less $

Dry steak tacos, obviously reheated. Not worth the high price. Side of canned tasting beans. Rice was good. AND they charge a 3% SERVICE FEE!!!

Tacos here were very good. Portions are generous and the options are great. We ordered 3 signature tacos - dorado, signature and chicken tinga. All were delicious, my favorite was the signature. Very unique. We also ordered 3 taco platter - carnita taco, steak taco and chicken taco. Those were also very good, traditional and tasty. The platter also comes with rice and beans and it was meh. Rice isn't seasoned very well, or at all. Same as the black beans, very bland with minimal seasoning. Probably wouldn't order the platter next time however the tacos are delicious! We ordered online for pick up and it easy to navigate. The estimated wait time was accurate, our order was ready to go once we arrived. Overall I really like taco Maya, they have traditional tacos as well as 'modern' and fun tacos.

it was a very good lunch, burritos & a Chimi. Great flavor, well prepared, but two meals with queso, chips, tip was over $60, so for that reason we may not be back

My friend and I came here last week because it was open late and had a variety of meat and veggie options and we loved it. First coming in, the customer service was amazing and the staff was friendly and kind to help us. I enjoyed the veggie taco and paneer taco too, but the paneer taco was a little too much lime for me. My friend liked the meat options he had and we liked the free salsas that came alongside the chips given when eating in the restaurant. I love Mexican and Indian fusion so we enjoyed that because it usually means there are vegetarian options. The inside was spacious, good amount of seats and had a clean appearance. Prices were reasonable but we definitely want to come back during the lunch special!! Can't wait to come back!

This was my first time at taco maya I had the 2 taco plate. It came with rice and beans for 15 bucks. I will definitely return to try something else.

HOW DID WE JUST FIND THIS PLACE?!! Ordered delivery tonight and we couldn't eat our food fast enough, or decide where to start! The guacamole and chips were excellent; we loved the seasoning on the chips. We got two meals: a 2 taco dinner and a 3 taco dinner, figuring we'd try 5 different tacos and see what our favorites were for our next order (both dinners came with beans and rice--beans are served in a corn tortilla boat). Between the two of us our taco flavors were: Chorizo Taco Chingon Taco Signature Taco Shrimp Tempura Taco Al Pastor Taco My husband's favorite taco was the Chingon Taco, my favorite was a tie between the Signature--bacon and steak and pineapple, oh my!!--and Shrimp Tempura--I could coat all my food in that light and crispy batter! All the flavors were so good!! We're stuffed and already planning our next order. Only thing I didn't like is that that we're too full for churros!

Good, authentic food with a bit of a twist. A unique Indian slant on some offerings. Taqueria atmosphere. Highly recommend and I go there frequently for lunch.

As someone who has enjoyed loads of authentic Mexican food from different regions in Mexico as well as Southern California, I was impressed with this local spot! I am picky about my Mexican food and Taco Maya does not disappoint. They have a wide variety of taco flavor profiles and are inclusive of pescatarian/vegetarian diets with delicious options for those crowds. Their quesadillas are delicious and take me several sit-downs to finish, making it 3 meals for the price of one! Their chips and guac are more flavorful than most other places I've been to. My favorite salsa of theirs is the salsa verde on the hottest end of the mild-hot spectrum. But they do have some nice milder ones if you're not a spicy person. Service is quick and friendly too. Being able to find quality food when you're in a time crunch isn't easy, but Taco Maya sure makes it seem so.

Visiting from out of state, from California, so Mexican food is a big deal to me. I highly rate this place. I'm glad I stumble upon this GEM! I enjoyed the paneer burrito. First time trying something that's sort of a Mexican and Indian spice mix wrapped in some flour tortilla. It surely made my tastebuds dance. The chips and salsa were BOMB too! The chips had a spicy kick to them. I ate there about two weeks ago I just now remember to write a review. So I forget what else I had I think al pastor tacos. But the chips and paneer burrito were definitely memorable. The young lady who took our order was kind, funny even. It was a pleasant interaction for a 10:30pm or 11pm walk in. I was tired from the travel and hungry. The ambience is that you're there for the good, tasty, savory FOOD. Thank you.

I wasn't happy. I ordered from this restaurant on Uber eats, and first off, they did not include any fork/knife/spoon to eat my food--or napkins. What??? This may have been on the delivery driver, but also the food wasn't even hot. The size of the guacamole side...laughable. The enchiladas were just kinda mushed together and had chunks of chicken that made it hard to chew and fell all over the place; very messy and dry.

Service at its finest, we went on a day they ran out of a lot of items and they were kind enough to mention this upfront and offer free drinks to make up for it. Immediately turning what could've been a bad experience into a good one. Ordered the Maya Salad which was very tasty, fresh and filling. Kids for kids meals which were generous portions for kids sizes. Fresh food and friendly service, highly recommend checking them out!

These tacos are so delicious. There are so many options, it can be hard to choose. The chingon and the specialty are some of my favorites.

Amazing options for Latin Dishes. Drinks option and all-you-can-drink horchata! And salsa Bar too. The service was great and know the ingredients that were made. The atmosphere was great has a private room too and a great space too.

I went to taco Maya for the first time with a group of co workers. It was nice to have the back room for the group Tacos was good.....un little small. I did not like the house margarita. Tasted more like orange juice Not sure if I will be back !

This place is great! It doesn't toe the line of the traditional authentic Mexican restaurant, although it does that part well. The regular steak taco American style is the only thing my father-in-law will eat from a Mexican restaurant and he loves these. But the menu has some crazy options. My go-to is the signature taco. It has a variety of things on it including a house sauce and it is spectacular. Some options sound a little strange, like the paneer taco, the buffalo chicken taco, and the buffalo cauliflower taco. All were excellent and honestly I liked the cauliflower even better than the chicken. They have tasty options at the salsa bar that range from "tickle your tongue" to "better hVe a drink handy." They do a good job getting your order right and the people are really nice. I don't get why Fat Rosie's is always so busy when this option is right down the road.

I love this place, love the micheladas, the food is delicious and the service is always good. They change the concept from a diner to more like a fast environment restaurant Similar to chipotle but much better. A little price but its great

Wow! This is a favorite! I was looking for Mexican food in the area, and for a while it's been very hard to find a good one in the suburbs, until taco Maya!! I'm so happy I can come here and see the awesome staff, and get some good tacos . They definitely have the best chefs.. it's quick, they have the best warm mild salsa ever! You automatically and quickly get that before you order your food . I love that it's my favorite part . Plus you can get an alcoholic beverage. I had a skinny margarita--- soooo good! I also had the signature taco and the shrimp tempura taco . They were absolutely delicious! Also I cheated on my diet and got the waffle fries loaded nacho thing ... yuahhmmmmmyyy!! Be back here again really soon .
