Orange County's 12 Hottest Restaurants

"Chef Ivan Calderon (founder of Taco Rosa and Taco Mesa) partnered with his son Nico, and Max Moriyama to open Taco Mesita in historic old town Tustin. The tortillas are freshly pressed and made with organic blue corn. The restaurant doesn’t shy away from pops of color and a playful social media presence. As a bonus, Taco Mesita has a drive-thru." - Jenn Tanaka

Unique take on tacos so don't expect your typical taqueria. These tacos are carefully crafted and packed with flavor. The outdoor patio is really nice.

Google
This is authentic fast service taqueria. Homemade tortillas are beautiful and moist. The margaritas are strongly and tasty. Ingredients are fresh, high quality and plentiful. Salsa is served with every taco, both types are fresh and well prepared. Guacamole is packed with flavor and no filler ingredients. Service was superb. Sitting outside is an added benefit. Overall one of our top 5 taco places!

Google
These are destination tacos! Love the innovative concept of bringing high end Mexican food to a drive through, fast casual restaurant. The chicken tacos were well balanced and quite large. The steak burrito was very filling and you can really tell the difference in quality from the grass fed beef. The sauces they give are really tasty and bring the whole meal up another level. We also got the guac and churros, which were top class as well. We were so stuffed on the way home, but in a good way. Lovely owners and staff too; what a great addition to Tustin’s food scene!

Taco Mesita has some nice tasty tacos — we tried them all and they were very good ! Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. That said, the dining experience comes with a few bumps. It’s outdoor-only seating, which can get chilly depending on the weather. They do have heaters, but getting them started is hit or miss — a bit of a struggle if you're trying to stay warm. The biggest issue is the service model. There’s just one line for everything — ordering, paying, and even if you just want more salsa. We ran out halfway through our meal, waited 15 minutes just to get some, and by then, our food was cold. Honestly, a simple self-serve salsa station would fix this instantly. Overall, delicious tacos and worth a visit — but they really need to streamline their setup to match the quality of the food.

Google
To begin the service was great! The gentleman who took our order explained the menu perfectly and was patient as it was our first time. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito, a steak burrito, a pork shoulder taco and a steak taco. They make their tortillas in house which is nice and they are seed oil free! I’ve been trying to support places that cook with beef tallow and/or olive oil so that gets huge points based on that fact alone. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing felt greasy or heavy and the flavor is amazing. Price point is great for the quality plus they have a little happy hour at the end of the day. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Google
Super cute spot with elevated Mexican food but reasonable prices! A must try. I have had all of their tacos ans they are all unique and delicious. Pictured are their chilaquiles, made with two eggs and I added the steak. The chilaquiles are made with little square pieces of tortilla which somehow makes them so much better because they are bit sized. And their steak is so tender and seasoned perfectly! Their salsas are also on point!

Google
Oh yeah finally taco that feel fresh and serve more than just tacos! Love the sides of sauces that you can choose. Love the variety of menu! Hmm need more seating with shades!

Amber

Google
Amazing!! The steak taco I had was so good I was upset when I got full and couldn't order more! 😭 Great spot for outdoor seating with plenty of shade thanks to umbrellas and trees. Friendly and fast service as well. And so so so good. 🤤 A little pricey for what I'd expect of a "old school" style taco place but absolutely worth it.

Yelp
The food was interesting but the problem was I didn't get what I ordered. I used the drive-thru window and ordered a taco and a quesadilla and the cheesecake flan. As I pulled away I noticed I was missing the quesadilla so I turned around and got my quesadilla. They apologized and gave me some extra chips. Once I got back to the office I discovered that they gave me a chicken taco instead of the pork that I ordered. There was no way I was going to all the way back so I had to live with it. So, overall, 2 strikes. I probably will not go back.

Yelp
I've been to Taco Mesita a few times for lunch and dinner, but this morning I went for breakfast for the first time and don't know why I haven't gotten a breakfast burrito from here sooner! This was by far the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! I was not expecting perfectly jammy eggs inside since most breakfast burritos have eggs scrambled to a pretty hard consistency, and now I don't know if I could go back to having breakfast burritos without jammy fried eggs! So so delicious. And it also had some perfectly grilled and seasoned veggies (smoky poblano chilies, onions, and potato) as well as some nicely salted, creamy pinto beans. Whoever made this burrito this morning made it to perfection, thank you! Oh and I also got a freshly squeezed orange juice and wasn't expecting pulp in there, but it was so incredible too!

Yelp
Taco Mesita is located near old town Tustin. They have a drive thru and a small outdoor patio. This restaurant gives me palm spring vibes aesthetically. We dined on a Saturday around 12pm. Brunch ends at 1pm so we just made the cut off but so glad we did. The French toast was fluffy and absolutely delicious. For $8.75 you honestly couldn't go wrong. I also really enjoyed the breakfast taco ($4) the potatoes were crisp and the eggs were solid. Hubs ordered the steak tacos($6) which were also great. The steak was charred but tender, flavorful as well. The only miss was the pollo burrito. The chicken was shredded and just didn't taste great. I was pretty disappointed and only took 3 bites. I was kicking myself in the foot as I should have ordered the breakfast burrito! Next time! Otherwise chips were crisp and loved the accompanied salsas. Service was a bit of a miss as we had to wait around 6-10 minutes for someone to take our order. The water refill station was also low so had to tip the container to get water out. However, just minor things that could have been a one off with short staffing. Overall, solid spot in the OC. I would dine here again.

Yelp
Updating my review after another visit to Taco Mesita -- the first visit in a while! I came during their late night happy hour and there were more people there this time, which made me happy knowing that they're doing well! Super cute and casual late night spot with plenty of outdoor seating + a drive thru. You order at the window and they bring food to you. The food quality is amazing for the price, and I'm so happy I can get restaurant quality food with the "fast food" convenience! I love the handmade blue corn tortillas. They also cook everything in beef tallow. Here's what I got: - chips and salsa (whipped Jalapeno and smoky tomato salsas) - arroz con pollo (bone broth rice and rotisserie chicken) - wood fired chicken tacos - pork shoulder tacos - margarita ($2!)

Yelp
Affordable and delicious Mexican food spot in Tustin! This feels like a true small town spot with their walk up window ordering and outside only seating. Service was speedy and polite. We got two quesadilla doradas, a bean and cheese burrito, and chips and salsa. All were amazing!! And so affordable. I think everything came out to less than $30 which is rare nowadays! We will most definitely be back some Taco Tuesday!!

Yelp
SERIOUSLY ONE OF MY FAV TACO JOINTS IN OC! I love coming here, especially for their late night happy hours, with affordable deals on tacos (being $3-4 each)! Taco Mesita makes high quality, elevated, and tasty food that is accessible and inexpensive. I've been here a handful of times now and it's definitely become a regular spot for me. This time around I got the Woodfired Chicken Tacos, Pork Shoulder Tacos, Aroz Con Pollo, and Chips and Salsa. All were very flavorful, but that whipped jalapeño salsa takes everything to the next level! The staff are always quick and friendly. The vibe and appearance gives off a nice, classic California diner/fast food joint deal and the food is excellent! Add this place to your taco list!

Yelp
We came here late evening on Tuesday 9/16 to place a breakfast order for pickup the following day that my hubs can take to work. I have not been here in a while and they've added a quite a few items on the menu. We tried the Fish Taco and it was really tasty. I also overheard quite a few customers ordering the Barbacoa Taco. Hubs reported that the Pork Shoulder Taco was very good.

Yelp
I think I finally got my go-to order here = bean and cheese burrito and a woodfired steak taco. I love bean and cheese burritos from Taco Bell and I wanted to see what it tasted like here ... and it's yummy!!! The two sauces it comes with is also YUM, but I think I like the green one slightly better. Both are good though. Love the drive-thru and service is good.
google avatar

Leeza D.

Yelp
Best rotisserie chicken burrito in this area. Cravable and I like it that they open at 7am and I usually come around then to grab one. Great service.

Yelp
The blue corn tortillas are amazing here! Taco mesita is located near downtown Tustin. Shop is small with few seatings and a drive through lane. I got the chicken taco ($6) and my fiancé got the steak and pork taco ($7 and $5). Although $5-$7 seems expensive for one taco, size is generous. The chicken taco was tender and the charred corn gave it a nice crunch. My finances pork and steak taco was delicious. They also have salsa but not the best I've had. Overall service is friendly and a spectacular hole in a wall. Would love to try the breakfast burritos my next visit!

Yelp
Our administration bought us steak burritos for national custodians day. I didn't care much for the burrito. The grilled onions were awful, the sauce wasn't much better. I didn't finish mine. Im glad we got the meal for free and I didn't have to waste my money coming here.

Yelp
Enjoyable taco spot in Santa Ana that has healthier options and flavors. There is a limited amount of indoor seating and ample tables outside. They also provide blankets if you tend to get cold, which is much needed for anyone adapted to Southern California weather. The service is pretty quick and the tacos come out fresh and fast. Some of the flavors were missing depending on what you ordered but the salsa and tortilla chips. Definitely hit the spot. I would recommend if you want more of a sit outside type of vibe in Santa Ana. Otherwise, if you want something that packs of spicy or punch you might have to explore the taco scene a little more

Yelp
First time visiting, and knew off the bat I was in for something different. The gentleman at the window was kind enough to explain their menu, the origins of their cuisine, and even made some recommendations... again, from a drive thru window. Their tacos were fresh, and had more authentic ingredients like cactus, etc. The bean and cheese burrito rivaled Burritos Las Palmas. This is very elevated Mexican food, and coming back again.

Yelp
Came here on a Taco Tuesday late evening, they stay open lateee and have a drive through!! Casual place with only outdoor seating. There was parking readily available and not too long of a wait for the line to dine outside. Order at the front and go sit down, and they bring the food to you! I got a few things like the steak taco, fish taco, and the Birria. All were soooo good and reasonably priced. There were 2$ margs which looked fun! Tacos were all delish and the blue corn tortillas were hand made! I will be back.
google avatar

Melanie G.

Yelp
Pretty good spot for higher-quality drive thru tacos! I went for OC restaurant week and got the 2 taco combo which came with rice and beans for $16. I really appreciate that they have a drive through. I went around noon on a Friday and I only had to wait behind one car. I tried their fish tacos. The cod was meaty and the batter was good and not too greasy. The mango salsa on top balanced it well. Looked a little more flavorful than it was. The beans were tasty, just a little one-sided in flavor and salty. Would possibly come back to try their chips and salsa or churros if I'm in the area.

Yelp
4++ I'm not sure about the history of this spot, but this place feels like it was a converted fast food place. Complete with drive-through. But because of that, it kinda has a laid-back vibe to it. You order from a window and they bring you the food. I came here specifically for the woodfired steak taco for a late lunch. Ordering was easy and the price was more than reasonable. I mean, seriously. I don't think you can beat this price for a quality steak taco with that char flavor with all the fixins served on a fresh blue corn tortilla. I would love to try other stuff on the menu so hopefully next time I'm in the area. But I definitely would love to come back for even just the steak taco itself. The parking was pretty simple to find in the lot or on the street around this area.

Yelp
The third branch to the Jaime owned Taco Mesa and Taco Rosa Mexican restaurants. They all use high quality ingredients, many organic with some good healthy, but still delicious options. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner and open 'til 10pm. Although breakfast is only available until 1pm. They also have a couple of dessert options. This one is the quickest service location with an outside order window and drive-thru. The main seating area is the patio, but there's also bar seating to the side within the roof. I love the music choice too, all indie rock with great guitar riffs. It's all smaller portions and snacks, so it's perfect if you want to try a few different items all at once, or just want something light. The Rotisserie Pollo Taco is what first caught my eye. It's made with thigh meat, corn cabbage relish, and queso fresco on organic blue corn tortilla served with a side of roasted salsa, and it was exactly what I wanted. The Pork Shoulder Taco with pineapple cactus relish is going to be on my next order, along with the Wood Fired Elote, and White Gold Horchata. Can't wait!

Yelp
I've never had a bad experience at Taco Mesita and I've gone here more than I can count. Every single menu item is packed with flavor and their sauces are the best! I could drink them. I think the one menu item I always have to get regardless of how hungry I am are the chips and salsa. Such a bang for your buck at $3!!! They're also made with beef tallow, and if you love old school mcdonald's fries they taste the exact same but on a tortilla chip. And imo is better because of the surface area. They're open for long hours daily, have a drive thru and the taco tuesday menu is amazing. I honestly prefer sitting down more than going through the drive thru because the ambiance is so chill and everyone's just having a good time. The employees are also super patient and calm. I couldn't rave more about this establishment, please go see for yourself! ‍

Yelp
Taco Mesita is the fast-food version of Taco Mesa on Chapman Ave, which is the fast-casual version of Taco Rosa on Jamboree. The Calderon's have been busy! As seems to be the trend in Tustin, one defunct Mexican food place (Alberto's) has been replaced by a nicer one (Taco Mesita). The quality is top notch and it's unfair to even call this "fast food," but there is a drive-thru and food is prepared quickly. The menu is limited and not very vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian friendly, but there is something for most everyone. I had a steak taco and a pork taco. The steak was very high quality, but the pieces were large and I had a hard time taking a bite without completely eviscerating the taco. The pork was more manageable and equally tasty. At $12.50 for two tacos, it is not a cheap meal. I could be wrong, but I think the tacos are roughly the same price as Taco Mesa and Taco Rosa! I'm a big eater and would easily eat 4 tacos. This place wins for quality and convenience, but for the same price you can sit down at Taco Rosa and have a nice dining experience. If you wanted Taco Rosa quality, but don't want to leave your vehicle, this is your place.

Yelp
I love Taco Mesita. I always come with my friends during their happy hour which starts at 9pm til closing. My go to is their 18hr pork shoulder taco. Their margaritas are also super tasty and the happy hour price makes it even better. You can also choose between salt or tajin rim, or even half and half. The rim is also dipped in a sweet syrup which adds a great flavor to the margarita as well. Overall this place is awesome and you should check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
Went there for taco Tuesday. Love their blue corn tortillas! Their tacos are so fresh and different which I like. I would go back and try other menu items for sure.

Yelp
The workers here are very polite and patient. The location is interesting and nice that it has its own private lot. There aren't a lot of spots but better than hunting for street parking. There aren't many tables here but luckily it wasn't busy at all. The reviews were high so we were optimistic. Unfortunately the quality of the food was pretty poor. Almost all the food lacked any flavor and was definitely not authentic flavors at all. The tortillas were interesting in a good way but that was about it. The drink was a bit strange and the chips were like a healthy looking Dorito but without the flavor. We were hoping this would be good so we could have a good local taco spot, but unfortunately it was a let down. The search continues.
google avatar

Yelp
First time coming but it's been recommended by some of my friends. First off the service is wonderful! I came with my bf and the cashier gave us samples of the drinks and also helped with recommendations. All the drinks were so GOOOD! The horchata is what we ended up getting and it was a 10/10. We also grabbed the panela taquitos, wood fired steak tacos. Both were very tasty! They were generous with steak and toppings. Definitely worth the price. I only wish that they offered spicier salsas. Even though they had salsa macha for the steak tacos, it had absolutely no kick to it. It was still savory and delicious but no spice to it. It's definitely worth a try! The vibe here is great with all the palm trees surrounding it.

Yelp
Never have I ever had a drive thru experience feel like a sit down restaurant experience. He was so kind, asked if this was my first time there, and then gave me the breakdown of how the food is prepared and recommendations to try. I was just coming for a quick bite, but then the dirty horchata was calling out to me. Definitely could use the caffeine boost. It was the perfect snack and drink to hold me over before dinner. The taquitos were yummy, that side slaw made it even better. And the dirty horchata...YUM. Would have liked a little more coffee, but that's just me. While waiting for my order I saw their holiday tamales menu. Coming back for a dozen (or so) they all sound delicious.
google avatar

Eduard G.

Yelp
I tried the carne asada burrito and it was amazing! Also, the carne asada tacos were delicious. Surprisingly, the menu didn't mention anything about fish tacos, but I overheard a customer ordering a plate of fish tacos. I decided to ask Maria if they had fish tacos, and she happily confirmed. Maria even brought me one to try. I really appreciate Maria's excellent service. Thank you!

Yelp
Taco Mesita part of the Taco Mesa/Taco Rosa family. It's the only location with a drive thru. Most of the seating is in a covered outside area and you order at the window. So it is kind of luxe fast food. But since it's all made from scratch it's not that fast. The menu is pretty unique and nothing is as you'd expect from a regular Mexican drive thru. Everything is a thought out combination of flavors. Today I went for the taquitos and quesadilla. The taquitos are filled with fresh panela cheese. They look like a cannoli. The cheese is light and fresh which contrasts the vegetables and salsa nicely. The quesadilla is a deep fried corn tortilla filled with stringy Oaxacan cheese and veggies. A similar side of salsa and pickled vegetables comes with it. This is a fun place to try different takes on items you think you are familiar with.

Yelp
Trendy little taco takeout! Been wanting to try out this spot for some time so we decided to drop by here on a Thursday evening. Fairly empty, as we were the only car in the drive thru. We opted for their steak taco burrito. It took awhile for the burrito to come out. We waited in the drive through for over 5 minutes even though we were the only car. Burrito came out piping out though with a side of their salsa. For $12, the burrito is smaller than my palm. I can definitely get a burrito 3x the size at any other taco spot. Nonetheless, the flavor of the steak was good. Definitely chewier than I had hoped, but its got a nice kick with the salsa. Not sure if I'll come back, maybe to try the HH tacos but the $12 steak burrito is too small and chewy for my liking.

Yama Z.

Yelp
One of the worst steak burritos i have ever had very bland and unseasoned meat took 2 bites and threw it away waste of money
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not much for eating fancy tacos, up until today street tacos were #1 in my heart. Taco mesita has me rethinking it. These tacos were amazing! The flavor in the steak was oh so good. Light smoke and super tender, the meat had some delicious flavors in that first bite. Also, that fresh made tortilla really made the taco. Just thinking about how good this was makes my mouth water. The salsas are so good too, I especially liked the jalapeño salsa. I was drowning my taco in it. I also ordered the Jamaica margarita, which I also loved. The Jamaica has a delicious deep hibiscus flavor that complimented the margarita. The cashiers were friendly and the food didn't take too long to come out. The outdoor seating was comfortable and was cool to have a casual lunch. I highly recommend eating here.

Yelp
My son insisted we try this place for their late night happy hour. Margaritas were $2...and quite tasty with a mix of salt and tajin on the rim. We ordered all three types of tacos. The pork $3, chicken $4, steak $5. We also asked for both the red and green salsas. You get one with each taco. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The tacos were a pretty nice size, not like those little street tacos...but full sized tacos on blue corn tortillas. There were a variety of toppings on the tacos including cheese. I enjoyed all 3 tacos but would probably stick with the pork since it's the best price and just as good. I liked using a mix of both red and green salsas. None of them were very spicy for my taste. The salsas were quite thick with the green actually creamy. Heat lamps were available for outdoor nighttime seating. You can pour your own citrus water from their jug.

Yelp
How does a review go from four stars to two stars? Read on. I liked this place a lot, but my recent visit was not good. I used the drive through with no one in front of me and no one behind me. Should have been quick, right? Nope. It took well over ten minutes from the time I paid until my order was handed to me at the drive through. It was borderline cold by the time I got it home. Today was a mistake I won't make again.
google avatar

Pat C.

Yelp
Tacos and burritos, slightly elevated using amazing ingredients, house salsa was noteworthy : fresh, tart, spicy, good. Service is cafe style - order, get your number, the goodies are brought out to you on trays, which you put back when you're done. Self service water, ice cold and clean, as are the premises in general. My burrito was around 13 bucks. For a sub $20 weekend lunch this place is a no brainer. 4 stars.
google avatar

Julia B.

Yelp
Incredibly rude waitstaff, especially servicing the drive through today around 3:30pm. Passive aggressive tone when not pronouncing certain Spanish words correctly. When asked if she had spicy salsa she gave me a dirty look and said "nope, that's all we have." I hate leaving reviews like this, but with such a reputable establishment that puts such pride into their food, you would think their employees would reflect the same.

Yelp
Was about to drive away, but I'm sooooo happy I didn't! I pulled up and the sweetest person came thru the drive thru speaker asking if it was my first time there. I replied with a "Yes" and they recommended the tacos and burritos. I got 2 steak tacos and a chicken taco. I also got a side of beans. Total was around $23. I'd say the QUALITY AND QUANTITY on these tacos make it soooooo worth the price. The steak almost seems like it was marinated over night 100000/10. The chicken taco was so flavorful and different but I loved it 10/10. They give you 2 salsas. Both bomb. The beans I'd give an 8/10. There was a line by the time I got my food. Super cute outdoor area with umbrellas.
google avatar

Jake T.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant with mainly outdoor seating perched right by the sunshine. And along with the clean white stucco & orange color scheme, it feels very life full eating outside, like one of those old 50s burger drive ins. The food itself is super quality, and it's priced super well for a seed oil free joint. Almost a quarter to third cheaper compared to other seed oil free Mexican places I've been to, but retains the authenticity that I thought I could only find at a true hole in the wall. Those refried beans especially are something else. Along with the great deals they have in Tuesdays, late nights & early mornings, I'll definitely be back soon. Heck maybe even tomorrow lol.
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
Don't sleep on their breakfast offerings! $3 for a high quality breakfast taco? C'mon! Sooooo delicious! I love their breakfast burrito, too, at $7; it's perfection. The service is always kind and welcoming. It's a cute little hideaway. They even provide blankets if you get cold. This is the spot, my favorite spot "...serving gourmet Mexican cuisine with housemade everything." Highly, highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
5 Stars - Exceeded Expectations! This taco spot definitely exceeded expectations! The flavors were bold, fresh, and full of authenticity. My brother and I were already talking about coming back before we even finished our tacos--that's how good it was. Simple setup, but the food speaks for itself. Don't sleep on this spot--it's the kind of place you remember and crave long after the last bite. Looking forward to coming back for sure!!

Yelp
Have heard great things about this place, so I figured I'd stop in and try one of their burritos. I ordered the woodfire steak one and was offered a side of red or green sauce. (Green is the spicier one incase you were wondering). The burrito itself was a decent size, but I was definitely blown away by the flavors of the steak. The steak does have a bit of a kick to it (which I like), but the meat itself is a bit chewy, but that's more of a personal preference. Ordering is done at the front through a window or you can also use their drive thru. There's plenty of open seating either at the counter or under a shaded area. It was pretty quick for the food to come out and there's a self serve water station. This place is located in Old Town Tustin and shares parking with many other shops. I'd probably just stick to their tacos for my next trip. I hear they have a great taco happy hour.

David R.

Yelp
love this place...tustin needed a place like this. got a good outdoor hipster vibe & so far everything has been amazing. even though the portions are smaller than most mexican places around here, it's worth the price & still reasonable for what it is. for those who have fallen in love with taco mesita...there's a secret menu with nachos, special burritos, quesadillas. google it. it's amazing. keep up the great work guys!

Yelp
The concept of having both drive-thru and on-site dining is a nice touch, but unfortunately, this place won't be a return visit for me. I tried the wood-fired steak taco, and while unique, the flavor just didn't work in a taco, it was unpleasant enough that I couldn't finish it, leaving one and a half tacos uneaten. I also ordered the battered fish taco special, which was equally disappointing. The batter was soft, and the portion of fish was tiny. On a positive note, the chips and guacamole were enjoyable and the employee taking our order was friendly.

Yelp
Where else serves you a complimentary margarita because you're having a hard day? And a tasty margarita at that! Taco Mesita is a bit of an unknown gem. The food is yummy (I'm a huge fan of their frijoles). It's also one of the only places I have seen that serves arroz con pollo via drive-thru. Yes, they have a drive through, but it's not really fast food in the way ....say...McDonald's is. It's eon's better. I prefer eating there anyway. The ambience is chill, austere, yet inviting. They even have little blankets in a basket in case you get cold on their patio...which I think is sweet. Lastly, the food is well-priced. The menu is almost all under the $10 mark, and as a single mom, I appreciate this. I appreciate it as a person too. If you're wondering if you should try this spot... You should!

Yelp
The food was ok but they forgot one of my steak tacos and after several attempts calling did not answer the phone at all. I ordered through the drive through while I was in the area in an errand and it was not convenient to return.

Yelp
Holy delicious taco! By far the best drive through food I've ever had and their chorizo taco was among the best I've had period. Really appreciate the healthy drive through option - hard to find a drive through that keeps healthy options in mind. They even fry their chips in tallow and not seed oil!!! Highly recommend this place

Yelp
Good tacos, seemed a little pricey for an outdoor taco stand. Staff was very friendly.

Yelp
Excellent excellent excellent would recommend. Taco Mesita boasts a very creative, yet simple, menu. There are so many good options to choose from and I don't think you can go wrong. The food felt authentic, flavorful, and unique. Super enjoyed all three tacos, chips and salsa (so cheap for so many chips!), and a quesadilla dorado. All tacos come in their blue corn tortilla, which is an excellent pairing. Tacos come as wood fired steak, rotisserie pollo, and pork shoulder. Great toppings on all. Chips have really great spices/flavoring on them. Quesadilla dorado was our least favorite item, but still super good! Great little spot that looks super cool as well. Staff was friendly and they even have blankets if you're cold (since all seating is outdoors)! I would absolutely go again and want to try more items.

Yelp
If you're expecting a typical or standard Mexican tacos and burritos, this is definitely not the place. It is very different. Sauce is different. No rice, beans and cilantro with your meats. Just take a look at my beef burrito photo. They are not bad, but it is very different. And the size is much smaller than other places, but once again, they don't include rice in your beef burrito. Just a warning.

Yelp
Was basically robbed in the drive thru as they did not give me a taco. Tacos were ok but really pricey, even for taco tuesday.
