Taco Moro

Ordered the quesabirrias dinner to go and they were amazing!! Everything was packed really well, no spills, and ready quickly. The portions are filling too! I will most definetly be back when I'm craving quesobirrias.

Great fresh food. I come here to satisfy my burrito cravings. The steak burritos are fantastic, as are the tacos, quesadillas, and tortas. The dining area is clean, and there is some pretty entertaining artwork on the walls. The staff is friendly and their menu is quite simple, which is refreshing. No extravagance, just simplicity at its finest, resulting in fresh and delicious food. I'm looking forward to trying the birria tacos and burritos, as they are next up on my list.

I have never heard of paletas until I went here, so I don’t know if this is a common dessert or not, but these things is unbelievably good. I just bought a bunch of them. They have like 20 different flavors. I tried a pistachio one right now and could not even believe how good it tasted. All their food is great, but you could make a trip just for the paletas. Nice people too.

I ordered the quesabirria taco dinner, an elote, churro, and a horchata. Just like their location near Lakeview, the food was amazing. Everything fresh and most importantly the meat is great quality. Horchata is made horrible at many places but Taco Moro def does it right.

Just ordered Uber eats Received 2 of the 3 things we had ordered . Clearly on the receipt? Not the driver's fault. Besides that the food was so so I've had better. ordered steak burrito,not much meat at all plus not much flavor. Sorry I heard this place had good food, Not in my opinion. I Will not order from here again.

Went today with my daughter, I had the quesobirrias and she had a steak & a chicken taco. The quesobirrias were DELICIOUS and my daughter loved both her tacos and finished them up. Luis took our order and made sure we were taken care of. Really friendly atmosphere & great food. We'll definetly be back.

First time ordering and so disappointed, waste of $. Order as curbside took them 10 min to bring it out to me. Ordered CONSOME first of all it was 3/4 full, no lemon and the worst part it was so greasy i couldn't even eat it, just colored water, no flavor, a few pieces of cilantro and onion also I got a taco dinner, came with like 1/2 cup of beans and rice, tacos... I have eaten else where fuller tacos than these, Mexican food, I think they can do better. And gave only 2 tiny containers with salsa, and a small slice of lime for $17.

Update: Just has the Mexican Pickles OMG. Wow. I could see why most people in the area love this place the most. Best steak tacos within 10 mile radius.

We recently dined at Taco Moro with a large group of 20 family members for dinner, and our experience was exceptional! We called ahead to inform the manager, and they were incredibly accommodating. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly, which was impressive for such a large group. The tacos were superb--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We appreciated the variety on the menu, which catered to everyone's tastes, including some fantastic vegan options like the falafel burritos. Each dish we tried was delicious, showcasing the quality and care put into the food. The refreshing cold drinks were a hit, especially on a warm evening, and the complimentary ice cream bars at the end of our meal were a delightful surprise that everyone enjoyed. Mohamed, the manager, and person who took the orders went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. Overall, our dining experience at Taco Moro was fantastic. The combination of great service, quick food preparation, and a wide range of delicious options, including halal choices, makes it a standout spot. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend Taco Moro to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Truly phenomenal omg I am OBSESSED!! My sister and I decided to finally try this place after living nearby for a while and it was seriously the best tacos we've had in years. Such flavorful tacos that are truly authentic and fresh. Their guacamole was a 5/5 too. The employee who took our order at the counter was helpful and very nice. I loved the cute green chairs they had, they were so comfortable and the green decor was cute. They had plenty of seating inside. I'd 100% come here again this is easily one of my new fav taco spots!

Small unassuming dive in a strip mall. But food and service are excellent. I usually come into work into an office nearby a few times a month and this place is now solidly in my lunch rotation. Queso Birria tacos w/ consume are legit. I'd recommend get them as part of the 3 taco dinner which also gives your rice and beans.

We ordered 2 steak burritos. Overall they tasted pretty good. The steak was a little salty but the house made salsa verde definitely made it a little better. If you're near the area and can't decide what to grab for a late night meal. I recommend trying this place.

Delish! Great service and well done options. Ecstatic to have an amazing Zabiha place so close to home. I'm just mad they've been open for so long and I had no idea!

I was undecided about what to eat and I'm glad I stopped in here. The tortilla chips were one of the best I've tasted anywhere in my life. They have homemade salsas that are so good you'll be asking the recipe for before you leave. I ordered the steak burrito and was blown away by the quality of the meat and how it was prepared. This is one spot I'll definitely be coming back to and recommending.

walked in at around 8:00pm not busy at all. guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. menu seems decent and lots to choose from. was looking forward to trying the churros but there wasn't anymore left which is okay we ordered three steak tacos with cilantro and onion. it's pricey. plus $2 per one slice of avocado on the tacos. that's just ridiculous in my opinion. but overall tacos were good. loved the way the meat was sliced and cooked. salsas we're also very good. will come back just no avocados.

Not worth the price. We ordered a few times from here hoping it would get better and it hasn't. The tacos have barely any meat and for the price you pay there should be more.

Ok.... Never thought I'd give 5 stars for a taco place, but Taco Moro deserves it. There are more than a few "Royal" taco places in this neighborhood and I've frequented that little chain..... But, what stands out most is that Taco Moro's steak is leaps and bounds better.... These guys actually trim the fat from the steak.... No gristle here whatsoever. No "surprises", saying "Ick" or digging through your burrito trying to rid it of nastiness. The flavor is really, really good and the salsas and sauces are flavorful. Go. Go. Go to Taco Moro and hopefully they are successful enough to become a local chain as well!

I came here with a big appetite and ready to try the food but the food came up a bit short. The tacos were flavorless. The chicken had no seasoning and could have been cooked more with a crisp and used chicken breast. The rice and beans were good and the salsas were mediocre. The birria tacos and quesadillas are popular so may want to give that a shot when you come in. Overall, with a new place and learning curve I believe the food can be more tasty and improvements made to have a better taste. I will hopefully give it another shot.

The Chicken burrito was the bombbbbb. It was my first time there with Mom and even though the steak Torta was just so-so, (I would have liked a different bread for the bun) the service was great and the chicken burrito was so perfect. The owner knew it was our first time, and he gifted us free sodas so that was nice! Thanks, Taco Moro!

I finally got my hands on some birria tacos & I must say I'll be devouring them again‼ I should've started with six of them instead of three. I mean it was pure deliciousness with each bite & it's all about that drip . Dunk that taco & sop up as much of that sauce as possible. It's hard to describe how this takes a taco to the next level. Just when you think tacos can't get any better & then comes the birria taco. Make sure you wash it down with a mandarin jarrito

It was my first time ordering from this place, and what a disappointment . I order a taco dinner and consome, the tacos were barely full, like 1/2 cup of rice, beans were okay, but the CONSOME was the worst. Just colored flavored water with "some" onions and cilantro, and EXTRA GREASE, 3/4 full. Also only 1/4 slice of lime and 2 tiny containers of salsa for my food. I couldn't even eat the Console because of how greasy it was, not worth $17. Make real mexican food or do better.

$6.00 for an individual taco to be delivered. The food is not that good and the last time I ordered to pick up I had to wait a 1/2 hour longer than when they said it would be ready.

Excellent quesabirria and the 3 taco meal is a good deal. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Plus, they have a ton of the different flavors of Jarritos which is awesome. Definitely would come back here.

I knew when I walked in that I was in the right place. The Birria cheese tacos dipped in the Consome changed me. The Consome was rich, with deep flavors that I have dreamt of in the days since I went. The horchata is solid, though I haven't met many Horchatas that I didn't love. As I finished my tacos I scraped my rice and beans into my Consome and licked the bowl clean. I'll be back...a few times a week if I am able. They may only have a few menu options...but I need nothing more than what I got.

Nice and clean, lacking some ambiance for sure, and definitely not an authentic Mexican spot. Tacos were pretty decent, but very small for $4. Then no chips & salsa while waiting??!??!! That's a big no no for me. Food was good, everything else was blah.

I work in the area and I frequent this spot often. The guys manning the store are so personable and funny. I have to say great customer service. But I don't come for just the people, the food is great! My go to is the quesadillas. The tacos and burritos are good, my pick is always the steak! Well cooked and seasoned well with flavor abd spice. Customer service, good food and reasonable pricing. Checks all the boxes for me

Lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. Just ordered tonight for delivery and it was FLAME. Excellent and very authentic even tho I ask for some not so authentic but sue me. Lol. It was so good I'm about to place another order. Keep up the great cooking and stay strong and you'll be my go to EVERYTIME. E

This was a good treat for my siblings and I. We came in on a Sunday wanting some birria tacos, we were surely impressed. The salsa is yummy and the right kind of hotness for us. Even enjoyed the churros

Best Mexican food in the area ... so glad we found this spot . We picked up a catering order Easter Sunday and it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff is awesome (thanks for all your help Eddie) the food is amazing, especially the birria tacos . Wishing you guys the best of Luck!

I'd give 5 stars, Food looked good, unfortunately the Chicken Quesadilla was burnt. The Birra tasted good thou. Delivery was top notch.

I was excited to find a halal Mexican restaurant but the food here lacks major flavor. I've tried it twice so far and both times were a disappointment. The burrito and birria tacos did not have any sort of seasoning. I don't even think there was salt! Will not be getting food from here again.

Was out near O'hare airport. So we decided to stop by this local spot. The service was great. The food come out quickly. We both ordered the quesabirria after the recommendation. This is the popular food for them. I was fairly satisfied with them. They were very filling but on the greasy side. Happy to support local business

Main criticism is that the food is under seasoned -fresh, but under seasoned. As a result, you taste tortilla more than you do the meat. Very clean, but basic atmosphere, which is nice. Had the birria tacos with consume and the rice and beans. Rice and beans were also under seasoned. Lots of potential, need to work on your recipe.

This place was amazing!! The birria tacos were the best I've ever had! The staff was really nice and attentive. Little expensive, but you get what you pay for, and your paying for high quality and fresh flavors!

My husband and I get food from here at least once a week. We love it! The guys that work there are always friendly. The food is always delicious. I am first generation Mexican and they do awesome Mexican food. It's very clean there too which is something I do look for when I eat out. You won't wait long and the quality is there. All in all you should try it!

First time ordering from here and we ordered from doorDASH . The food was good, but we were missing our chips! So I called and spoke w the owner to let him know hoping to get a positive response and acknowledging the inconvenience of it. Instead he got mad and hung up the phone!! Maybe he was having a bad day but he lost a family full of potential customers!

I come here every Thursday for lunch with my coworkers. They have amazing guacamole and I love their shrimp tacos. The elotes are always delicious and they give a lot of toppings.

Very underwhelming. Probably the most dry bland tasteless tacos I have ever had in my life. We tried chicken steak and barbacoa. All where not seasoned at all and had no flavor whatsoever. Very skippy on the meat serving as well. Basically just two dry uncooked corn tortillas with a dime size of protein and onions thrown on it. $35 for 12 tacos. Would not try again. Would not refer to anyone.

This is the most authentic taqueria that we have found on the far northwest side. It's clean, fast, friendly and decently-priced and the food is several cuts up from TBK or its ilk. Try the birria tacos with the consume for something a little different.

First and last time at this place! Ground beef burrito was so greasy and no flavor. Lost my appetite after my first bite my hands just drenched in grease! My bf had the steak tacos which he said at least weren't chewy. The elote corn terrible and watery. Tasted like undrained canned corn!

Tried Taco Moro for the first time, it's been getting great reviews in our neighborhood Facebook page. The person at the counter was very nice and attentive. I had the birria tacos and the street corn. The tacos disappointed, they were under seasoned and lacked flavor, the street corn was good. I gave it a 3 star rating because the service was on point. I may give it a try again in the future.

Was excited to try this spot out, as their meat options are Halal, but I was disappointed to say the least. I ordered the taco dinner (your choice of 3 tacos) and got the steak, birria & chicken taco. As soon as I opened my box I saw a piece of UNCOOKED CHICKEN. I was mortified. I opened the chicken taco to find MULTIPLE PIECES of UNCOOKED CHICKEN. I was so beyond disgusted that I wanted to throw away my entire order right then and there. Needless to say, I am not returning here. There are plenty of other Halal Mexican options in the area, save your money and go there.

Got the birria quesadillas and got food poisoning.very disappointing since i came here a few times and live close but will never return after that.

I don't normally give casual dining options 5 stars but I loved their tacos. I've been searching for shredded beef tacos for years and finally found them here. And they are delicious. This was the first time trying quesabirria tacos and they amazing. I also had elotes which were great. Along with really nice service, close to home and a parking lot it's as close to perfect as I can get. Can't wait to try more items on the menu.

I have been to Taco Moro twice, and the food is great! I have lived in this area all of my life, and we definitely needed a good taco place that is not sit-down. The prices are reasonable, and they are very quick as well.

The quesabirria tacos are absolutely amazing, but was also a small taco for about $4 each. My kiddo had the steak torta and said it was good and filling. I'd like to try them again, but will opt for the torta or burrito next time better to fill me.
