Great tacos! I ordered a skirt steak taco and a beef tongue taco. I loved that they serve halal meat here. There's a poster that explains what this means, and I love that the animals are slaughtered in an ethical manner. The tacos were delicious, and the service was amazing. I will definitely be back.

The food is exquisitely rich. There are many sauces to choose from. I ordered the quesabirria meal, it is filled with meat. If you eat in, they use aluminum tray, which saves the environment, it would have been great had the consomé was not served in plastic. One short coming is that there is no real sink to wash your hands before eating.

I've been here twice and I'm loving it so far! Dishes are prepared fairly quickly. From what I understand, Halal meat is used. There's several salsas to choose from. The staff is friendly. Inside is fairly contemporary. Since I live nearby, it's an easy walk for a hearty meal. I love their tortas and burritos! Serving size is hefty. You definitely get your moneys worth.

Actually stopped in while I was waiting for my pizza at Domino's in the same strip. Super cool mural outside and very clean inside. Tried the chicken pastor since they are halal. It was good but not great and served with chips. $4.05 after tax so bring a nickel if paying cash. They also have churros but I didn't try. Service was fast and friendly. They have 3 salsas: roja, verde, habanero

I ordered for delivery, it's okay. The quesobirria taco was my favorite, I wish I did 3 of them. The steak was solid in flavor but nothing special. Everything could use more salt. The elote looked good but the corn was too hot causing the mayo to just become oily corn with some cheese so very disappointing :(

We were looking for a halal place Mexican restaurant for quite some time now and think we found the place! The food is authentic and really well seasoned. Plus the amazing salsa's really provide a great flavor to the food. We ordered the chicken burrito, taco dinner (2 steak and 1 chicken) and 1 quesobirria taco. All of it was really good. Highly recommended. The service was fast and is really helpful with navigating the menu. The ambiance was very chill and the place is very clean. We will be coming back to try more items on the menu and we sincerely hope Taco Moro succeeds!

Ordering online can be a bit confusing but that could be user error. I go here all the time though! It's very affordable and you get a lot of food. I personally always have leftovers. An associate referred me this restaurant and glad I'd listened! I was a little hesitant because I didn't live in the area and the driving was no joke, however the food delivered! The restaurant is clean and the customer service was a delight!! Absolutely, NOTHING bad to say, only An AWESOME experience.

Everything would be good if they would season their items. Got a shrimp taco, BLAND. Receive a taco bowl, bland too :( seasoning is key

This place is a hidden gem! I can't believe theres finally Zabiha halal mexican food in the city. Staff was extremely polite and the food was amazing and tastes very authentic. I can't wait to bring my whole family here thank you guys for opening! This made my day. I ordered a steak burrito, barbacoa tacos, and chips with guac. And one of the staff members was nice enough to offer me a free taco to try because I was skeptic about the birria tacos but I was too stuffed. 10 stars. Thanks again guys. This is definitely my new spot.

I tried Taco Moro Lakeview for the first time today since they opened this location a few months ago. I ordered DoorDash & walked to pick it up. I ordered the 3 taco meal. Steak, Chicken & Beef Birria tacos with rice, beans & limes. Yum yum yum. All 3 were delicious but If I had to choose my fave, I'll take the Beef Birria with a side of consomme, for dipping. Very tasty packing tons of mexican flavors. I also ordered a side of chips & salsa. The chips were ok (a little stale) but the salsa was fabulous. Very fresh tasting & not too hot but a nice subtle kick for good measure. Overall, I'll be coming back when I want some really good Mexican street tacos (onions & cilantro only). My next visit will be for a burrito, tostada or torta. And a bottle of Mandarin Jarrito. They have several small tables if you want to dine-in and 2 picnic tables for eating outside. Was really excited to try this place because it's in walkable distance to my house. But I was let down by the Quesabirria tacos. They were lacking flavor and even the sauce to dip them in didn't give an extra boost. My boyfriend had a steak burrito which was better. Rice and beans were meh. But I will tell ya the salsa was really good.

The horchata with bubble tea is delicious. I highly recommend. The tacos are delicious m. The quesadilla were good. This is a great place for yummy food.

Holy crap this place is amazing!!! I am a super picky eater and especially picky about the quality of meat in my tacos (often chewy, fatty, sinewy) and all three beef taco options I tried were outstanding! I ordered the steak, barbacoa and quesabiria and all three were fresh, tender and well seasoned. The rice was also delicious. We rarely order tacos in our house because of my pickiness and this place will be added to our regular rotation. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. Keep making great food! Note I am not much of a Yelp reviewer but felt compelled to shout out how great this food is!

We've ordered twice already. They don't skimp on the quality -- even the rice and beans are delicious. The burritos are tightly wrapped, which makes them easy to eat. I'm not normally a churros fan, but these are damn good. I'm so happy this place is in the neighborhood. Quick note: The restaurant itself doesn't have many tables. This seems more like a take-out location. Eat-in or take-out, the food has been top-notch each time we order.

New go-to taco place! Chicken Al Pastor tacos were super flavorful, hot and fresh, and reasonably priced. Loved the sauce bar as well. Habenero sauce was excellent balance of heat and flavor. Ambiance is a little sparse, but bright and clean. Lively music. Friendly service.

Our office ordered a few things: a chicken torta, a steak torta, and a chicken taco bowl. The good: their chicken which I believe is pollo tinga ( I could be wrong) is good and juicy. Not knock your socks off, but hey, its chicken and definitely better than most other taqueria joints in the area. The better: their salsa verde. Its quite delicious. Great acidity and just the right amount of spice. My favorite in the area. We drowned all of our meals in this stuff The best: Their steak is AWESOME! Its charred to perfection, the meat is tender and its impressively flavorful. I also really appreciated how packed in the torta was. Many other spots casually put all the goodies in the center which makes for uneven bites. But here the avocado, cheese, tomato, and sour creme were spread evenly so each bite was delicious and consistent. Will certainly come back to try the birria which everyone raves about. Thank guys!

A friend recommended this spot to me and man I'm glad I went. Definitely passed my expectations. The food was great the staff were very nice. I loved the fact I was able to put my own sauces and man is there habanero sauce hot. Very Family friendly Atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back.

I wanted to love this place, but got extremely let down. First off I ordered a steak burrito and there was barely any meat, and it was loaded with rice. We also got steak tostadas and again there was barely any steak. The only 5 star part of my order was the salsas.

I've been coming and also ordering thru ubereats for about 2 months. The food taste good but it seems as if directions are never followed rather I tell it to the cashier or put it in the notes on ubereats. Lately each time I've been there Taste is falling off. Today the food was not so good, the beans were stiff and semi cold like they were straight out of the can. Owell on to the next

Great addition to Lakeview !! I tried their tacos and burritos, i can tell they use quality meat not cheap meat to make huge profit. Their staff is super nice and always make sure that we are satisfied with the food. I ate in there once and took a lot of orders to eat home and always the food was perfect !! They even made special guacamole for my kids since they dont like tomato !! Love love this place and their food !!

AMAZING!! I tried almost every menu item, cant go wrong with anything... the burrito, the tacos, the quesadillas, even the churro! This place is SUPER clean, the ingredients taste fresh and go well together, and they were very friendly and quick with my food. I'll definitely be back.

We discovered this spot a few months ago and keep going back. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. We love the variety and authentic taste of Mexican food this place offers. The steak and chicken are our favorites, with the birria a close second. My wife loves the elote. The salsas are freshly made and consistently good. The restaurant, though small, is always clean and has outdoor seating as well. It's also fully zabiha halal. Highly recommend Taco Moro in Lakeview-- you won't be disappointed.

Ordered no cheese no sour cream, even put it in the notes... food was delivered with both. Couldn't try anything but the rice which was plain but good.

So happy to have a new addition to the neighborhood! My heaping, meaty steak tacos were expertly seasoned and great quality meat- delicious! I would say it would be a shame to add salsa, but the medium salsa I tried from the salsa bar was amazing, very flavorful and really enhanced the meat. The place was immaculately clean and cheerful, and the staff was very friendly. Definitely coming back!

this place is a gem in the middle of Irving Park Rd! the staff is extremely friendly and kind! they opened the restroom for me! the whole facility was clean and organized! and food was amazing!! they have their own parking lot, which it makes it a 10 stars place . I will definitely come back!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Taco Moro! We've already been there twice and thought every single thing we ordered was amazing: quesabirria tacos with consommé, shrimp tacos, ground beef tostada, steak tostada, steak bowl, and elote corn - everything is so fresh and flavorful. There are about a dozen seats, the decor is cheery with amusing signs on the walls, and Marco and Miguel could not have been more welcoming and delightful. We'll be back again and again!

They claim to be THE quesobirria taco experts. The birria they served me was overcooked dry and flavorless. So much for expertise. I tasted two of three salsa they offered and they also flavorless. Like mild water and spicy water. Haven't these people heard of salt? Do they even bother to taste the food they sell to the public?? Oh, back to the salsa; so I didn't try the third salsa because it looks like it was starting to ferment. That's what happens when you expose large amounts of food to open air with people sharing the same serving spoon with so many other unwashed folk. Very expensive too.

i was in the mood for tacos after a late night bachata concert and stumbled to this restaurant and I have to say this was the best tacos I've ever had! wow the churros and horchata was to die for.
