Let me tell you, this place may not look like much on the outside but inside it’s very clean and neat. The best part is the food! We got birria tacos, asada tacos, and pupusas. Everything came out piping hot and was so delicious. We had a favorite taco place right by us but this place took the win. The birria tacos are HUGE, tender, cheesy, and the consome is perfect. The asada tacos were seasoned so well and the pupusas were excellent. We will definitely be back here!

Came to this place because it was highly recommend by friends and people in Lilburn life. The food is authentic and delicious, we had the bria tacos and my son's had their queso quesadilla.. every was fabulous. We will be back for sure

I ordered Chilaquiles la Mexicana with steak rice n beans. Even got a small slice of tres leches cake. The meal was delicious! I look forward to going back.

The customer service was excellent, the waiter an her mom , I don't know if they are the owner but they are kind people, I saw how a homeless person came in and they gave him free food. Food is excellent , authentic Mexican food..

$2 tacos all day every day with freshly grilled chicken and house made salsas. Staff was nice and service was quick. Ended up ordering more tacos to go to enjoy later!

I first ate here about two weeks ago for dinner. Everything was delicious, including the margarita my wife had. Since the dinner was so good i have had tacos for lunch twice.

Delicious, authentic food!!! (Even the coffee was flavorful, served hot and fresh in a "jarrito" cup ... As good or better than Starbucks!) Food served with homemade tortillas made on the spot. Salsa bar with tasty variety of salsas from mild to spicy. Service friendly and attentive! An awesome find, hope to go back soon! Located in Ashley Square.

Do not expect a fancy place, but be ready to feel at home if you're Latino, the place will remind you that small restaurant back at home, where your father expend his time with Friends, every friday something like "la tienda del barrio" from the nostalgic pictures and decor, to the pool tables, that smell hint of dry beer and food is just what you're looking for to scape of the tedious live in the US, Forget the bills, the taxes, your job, sit and enjoy a wonderful meal, the Molcajete and quesabirrias are Super recommended, if you are that kind of person that eats with Splenda, and order decaf pumpkin Caramel lates instead of regular black quality coffee, this is not for you, this is good, man vs food, that's it, this was a 40 drive that worth every single bite...guys the cheeese!!!! This is real Mexican food..

The only frustrating part is the language barrier if you don't speak Spanish. Otherwise they have the best Birria tacos that I have tried so far. The meat is delicious and flavorful. The consume (soup that you dip) is delicious on its own. They also have Birria Ramen Soup that is AWESOME! The restaurant is clean and i have never been at a time when it was crowded. The food takes a minute to prepare which I don't mind. I've only had the birria tacos and birria ramen here so I don't know about the other items. Also, they don't serve ground beef so don't go here looking for "Taco Bell-like" tacos . Try it...you won't regret it.

Thought I was getting great tacos on taco Tuesday and this place is closed. Looks to be abandoned. :(

I actually had this one delivered by Uber, so i cant really say anything about the service part. I ordered the Chimichanga (steak) and it came with rice and beans. The Chimichanga is a little bit smaller than ive had in other places, but it was good. It came with rice, beans and ALOT of cheese. Like it was swimming in cheese and even the box was swimming in the bag. Its ok because i love cheese, but for those who wouldn't like that, please let them know. Overall, i would def. Go there again. Oh yeah, and the price is fairly priced.

We initially stopped at the Mediterranean place at the end of the plaza and decided it's in our best interest to walk right back out. So this place was right down the empty as ever plaza and I figured, you can't really go wrong with Mexican. Well, you can but this place looked mom and pop. I decided to order the simplest of meal just in case, 3 carnita tacos. I asked how the tortillas were made and the young waitress said, by hand and made with corn. My husband ordered an enchilada. My meal came first which is usually side eyeable but I waited and his came right after, no biggie. My tacos were great, simple fresh ingredients, came with plenty of lime to juice them up and tasted great! The hubs meal was huge and I could have had at least 4 separate meals out of it. It came with a ton of melted cheese. He didn't say it was bad or good but he ate what he could. The alcoholic drink situation here fell off during covid and they no longer have. They did interestingly enough have hot teas and had lemon grass off things. So I definitely had that and it was good. Overall not a bad place and they played a marathon of Aventura songs which was great.

The food here is so delicious and aesthetically pleasing to the stomach and the eye. The ambiance here makes me feel like I'm in Mexico!

Really loved the tacos and different sauces! We tried both chicken and steak tacos with rice and beans and everything was fast to come out of the kitchen and delicious. Will be back.

I typically order out so today was my first day eating in and so glad that I did. We were greeted immediately and you can sit anywhere. All items on the menu are priced very reasonably. I ordered the fried chimichangas and a margarita. My first margarita was way too salty. There was salt on the glass but I don't know how so much got mixed in my drink but she replaced it with a sugar glass and it was so much better. They have a salsa bar and I love adding the guacamole salsa to my food. The portions you receive are huge it's so much better to dine in than order take out. The salsa is also delicious.

This place is awesome! The vibe is relaxing and the decor is one of a kind as well. We found out that all of the table we painted by family members. I had the birria tacos and a pastor taco and will definitely be returning to enjoy them again. My husband ordered a sope and pastor, asada and carnitas tacos and he was raving about them as well. Our waitress was super nice and we loved everything about this place! The seating is comfortable and there is plenty of room. If the weather is nice you can also eat outside. If you are looking for some authentic, delicious tacos in Lilburn, this is the place to go. Check out the Selena, Blue Demon, Cantinflas, and other cool tables!

I love ordering food from here! My favorite Mexican place that is actually Mexican. Their Red rice is sooo fire I need the recipe lol. All of their dishes are delicious! The ladies in the front register are awesome too!

Quesibirria Tacos are DELICIOUS!!! The consomé had a great flavor, I highly recommend it! I will definitely come again!

The restaurant looked promising but was disappointing. We came for the drinks and happy hour- they literally had nothing on the menu; no cocktails/margaritas, barely any beers, or food on the menu. We had to reorder multiple times. We also called ahead and asked if they had outdoor sitting for dogs and they said no.. we show up and there's a couple with their dog already eating here- there is definitely an area to bring your pet. As for the food. I gave it 3 stars because the food was actually pretty good but eating at the restaurant wasn't it. This restaurant is more of a order and pick up type of place instead of a sit down type of restaurant.

I'll be coming back here for tacos and tortas. Like sooner rather than later because this place was a delicious, delectable and delightful find. Thanks Yelp... as the spot we'd originally selected was surprisingly closed, the next spot was doing some sort of ridiculous limited Cinco de Mayo menu that looked lame..so the third spot, Taco N Madre was definitely the charm. I'm so so glad we stopped by as the whole meal was just really tasty. Chips and salsa came out first, and the salsa was super flavorful and seemed very promising for good things in our future. Next up, some giant and delicious aguas, mango for my friend, pepino con limón for me. Both heartily enjoyed. He was so enamored that he got one for the ride home. Next up...a giant, super delicious cubana torta. Not going to lie, I'm always about the tacos, but friend suggested splitting a torta, and as a cheerful glutton, why would I say no? Okay. Said torta was ginormous, the telera was grilled yet still soft, and it was loaded with all sorts of stuff, including a delectable milanesa that wasn't listed...although I fully think of cubanas as having unlimited possibilities in their composition. At any rate, it all worked and we both inhaled our respective halves. I would seriously consider ordering tortas from them again. And again, they're not normally my thing, but I may have turned over a new leaf after today! On to the tacos. Omg. So good. From the tortillas on down. They don't skimp on the lines, their salsas were great, everything was Just fab. Crispy tripa, tender lengua, perfectly seasoned carnitas. The suadero was also moist and tender, as was the al pastor. Next visit, I might skip the pastor and try the asada or campechana: for whatever reason, I'm getting pickier and pickier about my al pastor and while it was tasty, it was probably my least favorite of the five tacos. Tacos are single tortilla here, which I don't mind at all...it's less filling and these were handmade perfection that didn't crumble apart. My friend grumbled about the size, but I thought they were perfectly proportioned and just so so good. Sure, I've had tacos with more filling but these seemed just perfect. I really really enjoyed this spot. Also our server was Spanish speaking and we did just fine with my oddly accented childlike but totally able to get around español but it was very nice that her coworker did come back around just to be sure we weren't having any problems after she'd helped her other tables. Basically very friendly and kind people work here and finding this place felt like it was my lucky day. I'm an absolute fan and will be back for more.

Walked in and asked to be seated. Waiter did not speak English, which was ok, but no one came back for another 15 minutes. Received the margaritas in the house for the inconvenience but the food was bland for my taste. We just felt really awkward eating

We ordered from Uber eats last night, and even as delivery our food was incredible. My husband got asada and carnitas tacos, and I got the chori-pollo. All of it was delicious! We will definitely be eating here again!

The barria tacos were very good! Im in love . The customer service was great she made sure we got what we needed quick and easy. The margarita was fun and tasty

Taco N Madre is a recently opened authentic Mexican restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Large portions. Friendly staff. Large seating area in two rooms. Located on Lawrenceville Highway between Main St. and Lillian Hill. Great find. Check it out if you are in the area.

Got there 6:15 on a Friday. We were their first customers. When we left, about an hour later, we were still the only customers. The menu seemed limited--there's a small "Antojitos" section that deals with the "usual" Mexican dishes and there's a lunch menu, although the waitress said they had only opened a half-hour before we arrived, so I don't know when they serve "Lunch". Most of the menu offers their take on various dishes. No diet soft drinks or unsweetened iced tea. My wife had a Pacifico, while I had a Modelo Especial, which is why I gave two stars. Like a lot of other restaurants Taco N Madre uses melamine plates. They cannot be heated, so when the food arrives the plate's cool and the food warm, not hot. I like my Mexican food hot. That ruined the experience. According to the menu, they have a popular weekend buffet. The dining room is set up with what appear to be steam tables. I imagine during the buffet you could get hot food, and I expect their food is pretty good, if you can get it hot.

This was such a great place to go. The place is not much but the food was really good and we will be back. We had the best chicken fajitas ever.

really good burrito and great service! food made fresh. Just felt like it was a little expensive. For one burrito, chips, queso, and 2 drinks, 18 bucks.

This place is AMAZING. I found out about them on Twitter and wanted to give them a try. I don't regret it!! Will definitely be coming back. Food is great and the staff is also very friendly. 11/10 would recommend to anyone that's been looking for an authentic hispanic restaurant to try!!

I was recommended to try this restaurant by a few people & no lie the food (tacos)& drinks which was a chavela were very delicious. The service is very good. Its always a good sign when your food doesn't come out within minutes that means the food is being made fresh.

I discovered this restaurant through Uber Eats. They had over 60 reviews on it with a 4.6 out of 5. So I figured it must be good. When I got there, the place was empty, which left me surprised. "If they were so good, why would it be empty" was my thought. I ordered the chilaquiles and oh my god. I was not disappointed at all. My taste buds were in heaven. They gave me a really sizable portion and the prices were low! 10/10, def coming back and telling my friends about it.

Had 5 tacos asadas con todo and they were excellent! They were fresh and the tortillas were toasted a bit and very tasty. Chips and salsa were great too. Restaurant was clean and service friendly and helpful. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Under new management and with a name change. Family- owned. Great chips and salsa. Dishes are made fresh and so the wait is a bit longer but well worth it. Good portion sizes. They have a buffet on weekends. Looking forward to trying it.

10/10 would recommend this place. I tried their California burrito,al pastor,pollo, and asada tacos. And those are the bomb!!!! Friendly people too so it's a great atmosphere.

This place was excellent. The one brother works in the front and the other was the cook. I got a Torta one day and I got Tacos and something else that I can't recall the name of. All of it was super good. I will be back again and again.

This place is fabulous. We're from Kansas and we'll return as much as we can. It's worth the money. Very good service . Family oriented . We ordered the fiesta taco salid. Our entire experience was awesome from start to finish.

Wow - excellent, authentic Mexican cuisine. Hard to find (seriously, they need a big sign at the street to let people know they are there), but find it you must! All the classic dishes, including many you don't find elsewhere in the Atlanta area (try Coctel de Camarones - - one of the best versions we have found anywhere). Delicious food, great service and friendly people.

The food is so delicious, it had me craving more and more. I had the papas con carne asada and then the gorditas de harina. Both were amazing. The gorditas were filled with such delicious carne and then the shredded lettuce with crema on the side was a great combo and compliment to the gorditas. The papas con carne asada. Definitely more than I expected as far as size. Haha, it was huge! It was so delicious! I never thought of that. The carne con aguacate on top definitely compliments the papas at the bottom with such an exquisite taste. You get a crunchy yet soft bite with the every forkful. Once you start mixing all the ingredients together, it gets better. To end things right, la agua de Jamaica was sooo good, it was sweet but not overwhelming sweet. Definitely a place to bring family or even a first date, with good warming music that brings back memories from the Chicano urban music of California to the classic oldies of La Tierra del sol ( the land of the sun) Nuestro Mexico. The customer service is amazing. Our drinks were never empty and the server was always made sure everything was okay 5/5 restaurant!
