I've been to Taco Prado several times and my husband has been there many times due to the proximity to his work. Between the two of us, we have not had a single bad or even just disappointing experience. The staff is always so friendly and professional, the place is clean and charming, and the food is fantastic and well priced with large servings. We absolutely love eating here and are always looking forward to the next time we visit!

Google
We drove 20 miles to eat here! They have a great selection for vegetarians. My partner ordered carne asada platillo.

Google
Hidden Gem!!! I’m glad we found this place, delicious food, great atmosphere, now serving beers!

Marisol Ortiz

Google
Very good variety of tacos. Love the 1/2 liter soda bottles. Has handicap side entrance. Restrooms do not have a baby diaper change area.

Ruby Patino

Google
The tacos was so greasy, and the onion was old The staff was laughing and being rude the whole time I asked for more salsa and she took at least 10 minutes to give me it while I was standing there waiting for it The salsa is watered down. They don’t taste like nothing. Do not recommend this place at all not even if you’re hungry It was expensive Eight Tacos of steak for $35 I recommend Talpa tacos 100% You should go there better

Google
Good flavor mexican food. Good variety to choose. Rice and beans was good too with good amount of seasoned. Good service.

Google
I am a big Mexican Foodie. I love the culture and this place embodies it to the fullest. I didn’t have much time to over eat, so my wife and I grabbed steak tacos. Safe and great decision! Flavorful through and through. The staff is also just as delightful. Only thing, don’t let the lack of cars in front of the restaurant fool you, there is a whole parking lot behind the place...and it gets packed! Stop by on your next Mexican food trip!

Google
They are a great spot to get some authentic Mexican food. Very nice people and food comes out hot and fresh every time.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Mexican food then here it is! Prices are reasonable, food is consistently good and service is friendly. The interior of the restaurant is dive like but don't let that deter you! We all know those are some of the best locations for authentic cuisine.

Yelp
A friend told me about this place. Tucked away off a road (Mableton Parkway). Literally, you will pass this place and miss it. Upon entering, it's pretty big inside with TVs. You order at the counter. If you're eating at a table, they will provide you with a number. Anyway, I took my order to go. I had 3 tacos and they were flavorful: barbacoa/beef, chorizo/pork sausage and alpastor/ pork. I also ordered a guacamole. It was delicious. Chips and salsa. The salsa was very salty. I didn't like it at all. I will come back to try other items as they have a pretty extensive menu with a reasonable price. Family owned place. Parking upfront and in the back.

Yelp
What a great find in the middle of nowhere... about 20min from the airport... it's a great to grab some amazing tacos before you get to the airport or a great meal near the airport... Quesa Birria tacos are my favorite Tacos in the whole world... long stewed in consume and grilled to perfection with tender meat and cheese... ask for the onion and cilantro... put that inside with some of their hot sauce and salsa... then dip the taco inside the consume!!! Perfection!!! Now their other tacos are also amazing! They give you plenty of meat and it is absolutely flavorful! I personally love to complement the Birria tacos with the Asado tacos... Their chips and salsa are both freshly fried and made... the translucent brown bag tells the perfect story! If you are looking for an amazing Mexican restaurant... check it out!
google avatar

Yelp
A hidden gem! I've eaten at taco prado 2.5 times. The first time I had a bite of a wet chicken burrito. Its overly filled with well seasoned diced dark meat and custom filling, topped with queso ... a lot queso. This burrito must be eaten with utensils and can easily be shared with another person. Its a monster! Secondly I had the ultimate nachos. I enjoyed the beef, chicken, and shrimp. But again toooooo much for one person. Both meals reasonably priced. Orders can be placed over the phone and online, wait has never been long. Great food, ridiculous portions. Just try it!

Xena S.

Yelp
There were several miscommunications at this place. When I was placing my order I specifically asked if rice and beans came with the order they said yes. No it did not. I paid a tip but it's a self service place so that was another annoying thing I wouldn't have paid a tip if I had to go get my own food and silverware. So I was irritated and placed another order for the rice and beans. My friend placed an order to go and she left to go to the event we are going to. The guy that took our order came to our table holding a paper bag of food and I knew it was hers. I texted her saying I think they got your order wrong and she said yes I realized that. He turned around when he saw she was no longer there. I went up to the counter and asked my friends food because they got her order wrong because I was going to see her in a few minutes. And they were acting dumb. The food was not tasty. Will not return. It was a waste of money, and now need to go somewhere else to get dinner.

Yelp
If you love true Mexican food, then this is the hidden GEM! Excellent service. The family feel is what you get when you walk inside. We go here all of the time. The menu outdoes its self. Prices are great. Food is outstanding.

Yelp
Good service. Food was nice and fresh. Parking is out front. Price is good. Inside was clean and there is a clean updated bathroom. I had chicken quesadilla supreme which include the lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. There was chunks of chicken grilled so flavorful. Yes I'd recommend and I'll come back.

Yelp
I usually go here when I want something quick and didn't have lunch, because its so close to my job. I usually get the soft tacos or quesadillas with queso. But since I'm tryna eat a little healthy (for my vacation soon). I opted for a salad. It was 9$ for one layer of lettuce, a few sprinkle of cheese, 2 very thin slices of avocado and a hand full of chicken. It was horrible. I got a side of beans and rice to fill the plate up, for 3.18$. The dish was still bad. I gave them 2 stars because I do enjoy the tacos, I'm just disappointed in that so called salad.

Yelp
Best Mexican Food close to Magic Mtn. Really surprised how reasonable and tasty everything was. I will definitely eat here again. . .

Yelp
OMG OMG. OMG. Thanks to the young lady Yelper (Courtney) who said the steak nachos were good. It's the truth! Normally, I don't post reviews outside Yelp. But I just couldn't keep quite this time..... So this is how it goes... Do you know how many times I have passed this place? I'm quite sure you have too. I have been craving Mexican food for the last several days! I need some fresh guac and pico in my life!! After an unsuccessful trip to a different Mexican restaurant off the beaten path last night. After reviewing several Yelp reviews I finally decided. Hey! just give this place a try. My tastebuds were ready for shrimp nachos. Well, no shrimp. There were several reviews of how great their steak taste. Steak nachos all the way it should be. Homemade tortillas drowned in queso. Mounds of steak. Lettuce tomato, avocado slices and sour cream. FLAVOR! Popping everywhere in every bite. I was salivating while eating‍. That's a damn shame. The portion is large. Come hungry or make this your only for the day. Did I tell y'all the steak is yummy?? Now if you're close by or passing through. It's on Mableton Parkway. You'll miss it if you're not paying attention. If you're coming out of SWAT, it's on the left going towards Floyd Road. Make sure you pass the QT and it's about another .25 miles. I wish i had stopped by before Rona to get the full experience of this spot. Definitely deserves a return visit. If you're in Austell, Mableton, Smyrna, Lithia Springs definitely go. Wherever you are....go! Friday 5/22/20....full as a tick and still have left overs.

Yelp
Taco Prado has become my new favorite spot. I eat here maybe three times a week I'm here so often that when I call the staff just laugh after they ask my name when I order my food because they know who it is. I have tried multiple dishes and I must say they never upset, the wet burrito supreme is by far my favorite the Birria tacos get me every time the shrimp tacos always hit the spot and the wings are just as hot as I like them. I can eat pretty much any meal I think I want when I come here which keeps me coming back for more the staff are always so nice and pleasant and the food is done pretty quickly so I typically don't have to wait. They have an online website where you can order your food and it'll be ready before you get there. I typically call in there is a lunchtime rush that is always there and so I typically avoid about the 11 or 12 o'clock hour because somehow everyone in a 40 mile radius must know about taco Prado because they are always packed, but who can blame them the food is amazing.

Geronee B.

Yelp
I would not recommend these at all. Two flour tortillas with very little meat in the middle. Lack of flavor. The customer service is good and so is the Mr.Pibb.
google avatar

Yelp
One of best places for delicious Authentic Mexican food definitely recommend Birria Tacos!!
google avatar

Savanna R.

Yelp
Very authentic. Very good. Homemade crunchy tacos. I normally get the steak. The pineapple agua Fresca is sooo bomb. I'm sure other flavors are good as I have also tried another flavor but pineapple is my favorite. For a while they were making homemade chips too for the nachos but I haven't seen them lately. 10/10 regardless.

Yelp
Was so delicious. Bbq wings and chicken quesadilla off the chain . Large portikns and right amount of spice . Highly recommended if you are in the area . Will definately eat here again

Yelp
Quick drive over from the FTY airport to grab a quick lunch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in. The prices were great and the food was fresh. The salsa bar was a great way to try different options as well. I ordered three tacos and chips/salsa. My tacos were fish, chicken, and beef. The chips came out warm and the tacos had great flavor. Even after paying extra for the fish taco, my bill was still under $10. My copilot had a burrito and it was gigantic. He ate half of it and brought the rest home with us. Overall, great prices, quality food, clean large dining room, and friendly staff. It's definitely a local hidden spot and the area is the greatest but we had a quality lunch at a beyond reasonable price.
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
The food is always excellent here!! I get some rice and three tacos and a drink for a great price. I love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Man this is a low key spot that is Sooooo good !! Love it so much! Can't wait to try more
google avatar

Missy L.

Yelp
Very welcoming when You walk in. Very spacious and clean. Food is Banging and they make their salsas in house. I look forward to coming here again

Bryan G.

Yelp
The food was great and the price was fair for what you get definitely try the desserts

Yelp
Two asada tacos, one pollo & flour tortillas. (IM SORRY! I HAVE CHILDISH TASTE BUDS!) asada was very tender & flavorful! pollo wasn't that great. tacos were BIG! nice condiments bar for customers as you're leaving. $6 for a filling meal & honestly just the two would have done me fine. definitely my new taco go - to.

Yelp
I was visiting from Texas......where we KNOW good mexican food because Mexico is like right there......and THIS is good Mexican food! I was scared at first, so I ordered something easy, nachos. Queso is immaculate, seasoning for the shrimp, beef, and chicken were absolutely on point, veggies were fresh and everything was amazing. So much so that at the end of my trip, I went back again for tacos. The only down side was their Aguas. While still tasty, you could taste that they use a powder mix as a base, and add sugar. Whereas Aguas im used to is simply real fruit and water. For example, I had the pineapple and there were no pieces of actual fruit in it. Other than that, it's a great place
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect stop for a grab and go or sit and chill for lunch or dinner. The food is hearty and fresh I just wish they had a better decor to create a better atmosphere. One of my family's top pics when we're hungry and need something quick and filling and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful authentic Mexican food with your choice of meats. The barbacoa wet burrito was great and too big to finish in one sitting. A real find!
google avatar

Nate C.

Yelp
This place has some flavor! The service is too notch. Everything is hand cut and prepared fresh. There is a huge consistency factor in the flavor. Every bite it to be savored. The enchiladas are amazing. The location has parking, clean safe and worth waiting in line for. The service is immaculate and served with a smile. What more can you ask for??
google avatar

Jessye V.

Yelp
Came in today at 11:50. Ordered chilaquiles and I might as well have ordered a soup and dunked chips in there because that's what it was. I waited 30 min for my food and it wasn't even warm it was freezing, ok maybe not freezing but cold very cold. I don't understand why it was so packed with the food being so bland and literally disgusting.... This was the worst food I have had I think ever in Atlanta.
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
My tacos were excellent and the staff was great, but the A/C was off in the middle of July.
google avatar

Courtney J.

Yelp
This small restaurant packs a big punch in the flavor department. I tried this place for a taco Tuesday because it was close to a friends and it did not disappoint. I called and tried to get a chimichanga but it was off the menu so I decided to go with a quick choice and got the carne asada tacos. They were amazing. Not overly salty but the meat was tender and seasoned. My friend got the shredded chicken quesadilla and there was so much flavor and an amazing melt. Will definitely be our new go to!
google avatar

LaTricia Q.

Yelp

Yelp
They made me the wrong food once, but their food is good. I ordered chicken tacos and they gave me beef which I don't eat, and they were not willing to give me a refund. Just check your food before you leave.

Yelp
Taco Prado is A-OK with me! Heading to my sisters job on Fulton industrial, I stopped through for a bite to eat ( the Friday before Valentines day ) the place wasn't crowded ( for a Friday evening ) but they had a steady flow picking up food. The place was a lot bigger then I thought, but the services wasn't so friendly..... I mean I know that you may deal with some questionable characters from time to time, but you cant treat everyone the same based on previous experiences, the services felt rushed.....I'm still not sure if I actually wanted the quesadillas - lol. As you already know......I ordered the quesadillas, just cheese and meat. I asked if chips came with the meal as most Mexican restaurant do and I was told they charge a dollar if I want chips....... I should have just ordered the cheese dip and maybe they would have been free. The food was good, they also have a nice little salsa bar...... but all of the salsa seemed spicy. I wouldn't make any special efforts to come to this place, but if I'm in the area and in the mood for Mexican I will stop through. Reasonable Prices Clean Restaurant Limited Parking
google avatar

Courtney W.

Yelp
I can't lie this place is near my job and I stumbled cross this running errands. I stop and read the reviews I had to come and see what the hype was about. This place delivered. It's always packed and the fresh taco topping bar made me realize how authentic this place is. I've ordered shrimp/ steak tacos and the pineapple drink. They were good. But what really stole scene were the Steak nacho supreme !! Whoa it's so good piled high with so much steak and toppings. I loved it and so did my shirt. This is my go to place for nachos. I'm sad because now I know this place will always call my name
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
Amazing food! Except the chicken enchiladas, at least that's what I ordered not sure what I got. But that's the only failure so far. Favorite is the wet burrito and nachos.
google avatar

Yelp
Cobb County - Mableton is far from City of Atlanta. But if your around these parts of south Cobb highly suggested this Mexican joint Los Prados #2. These burritos remind me of Los Angeles taco joints. I usually just get the regular one with (rice, refriend beans , carne asada, onions and cilantro) topped with some salsa verde. I've also try the tacos and they are good too. Another highlight of these places are the reasonable prices. Burrito is $6.36 w/tax --super deal because I always have a second half leftover. Pro: Good / inexpensive Con: they use refried beans instead of de la hoya ( whole beans). Burrito was oily. Total: 3.5 Stars

Keenan W.

Yelp
The Mexican food from here is always BUSSIN! I've had the tacos, quesadilla, burrito & torta and it was all good! Highly recommend the steak or chicken
google avatar

Pam C.

Yelp
Very authentic. Friendly service. Order at he counter and they give you a number and brings it to your table. Once your finished they will clear off the table. Hubby got the chicken burrito, wet ($9.50)..which means covered in queso sauce. It was HUGE, he took half home. I got 3 tacos, 2 Al pastor ($1.89) and 1 shrimp ($3.09), they both had great flavor, also bigger than I expected, 2 would have been enough. FYI, the shrimp taco only had 3 shrimp on it...but still very good. Tacos come with onion and cilantro. We ordered some chips and salsa for an extra .75 cents. Cokes are free refills, they did charge us .25cents for a cup of water. Very good, but our bill did add up. If your ever on HYW 41, Taco Villa is my favorite.

Jasmin G.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the wet burrito de asada. I would definitely recommend this place for some good Mexican food. Staff was friendly. The ambience is nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Met two friends here for lunch. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Portions were more than ample for lunch, the staff was masked and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and parking was easy. A nice little gem in Mableton.

Yelp
I ventured upon Taco Prado the other day for lunch and thought I would stop in. First and foremost, don't expect fancy. This is a whole in the wall place that serves traditional taqueria style tacos and burritos. It is not the type of Mexican place where you sit at a table and they bring you chips and salsa. It is counter service and then they'll bring your food to the table. If you have never eaten at a real Mexican taqueria, then you should know that tacos are served on soft corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. This isn't Taco Bell. Obviously, they are used to Americans coming in expecting the hardshell with cheese and lettuce, so they will serve you that if you insist... for a price. However, you are robbing yourself of the experience of a true Mexican taqueria experience. Their menu consists of tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and tortas with most of the traditional meat choices. I had 4 tacos: 1 barbacoa ( shredded beef) 1 carnitas ( pulled pork) 1 Al pastor (Seasoned pork) 1 pescado (fish) They were all good sized and I really had a hard time finishing all 4. All were served on the best soft corn tortillas I have had outside of homemade! (Apparently, the owner also owns a store/bakery that makes them fresh every day) And all of them were served with cilantro and onion. The fish one was nothing special and I'd probably skip it next time. However, the barbacoa and the pastor ones were awesome! I would order these every time. The carnitas was a little fatty but still flavorful. Like many little taquerias, they had a bar where they had extra garnishes like onions, cilantro, hot peppers, radishes, limes, and such to add to your food. They also have two types of sauces, a red and green. Both are spicy, but the green sauce is a bit milder than the red. The inside is nothing special and quite frankly could use some work. The floors are all cracked and steps are broken. But, you don't come here for the ambiance. You come here for the cheap and delicious tacos and burritos. The service was okay. The girl at the front was very young and either new or learning. All in all, I think this place is worth a try and I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Keny R.

Yelp
Stopped by after work and grab a couple of tacos (1 chicken and 1 carnitas). They give you a choice of shells and come topped to onions and cilantro. They dont skimp on the meat either. But the meat needs more flavor. They have a cold bar with salsas and topping options from radish to grilled jalapenos. The toppings really kick the tacos up a notch. Though it wasn't the best 1st try, I will give it a second shot during normal business hours.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This is definitely a local joint. The food wasn't very exciting. It was hot in there. This is a super big restaurant though. There were 3 different levels. The style is like a split level. The best part is they are super close to six flags.

Dino S.

Yelp
Fuck this place! They messed up my order and told me I ain't getting a refund or replacing my order. Trash service and don't stand behind their work or product worst place to go. To all the car dealerships around DO NOT GO HERE!
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Although authentic Mexican in Atlanta area is indeed excellent, the quality here was a bit below average for a few reasons. Part I: Clean All Day! In fact, this restaurant is so clean, the moment you walk in it wreaks of bleach and you see people cleaning everywhere. I can see what the other reviewers meant by clean. Although cleanliness is a good thing, eating in an enclosed space wreaking of bleach is not the most pleasant experience (I got my order to go). Part II: On The Dry Side Although the lengua taco was excellent, the Barbacoa and beef tacos were very dry. Authentic indeed, but the meat itself wasn't great, just poor quality. They didn't even give salsa to go to make it taste a bit better. So, overall as far as the meal goes, it was authentic, but disappointing. Part III: Empty and Caged When I came here for dinner half an hour before closing time on a Tuesday, the place was rather empty. Not sure if they get more hoping on a weekend, but somehow I suspect not. The neighborhood isn't great by any means, thus the bars on the windows. An okay spot, but nothing like the tacos you'll find on Buford Highway.
google avatar

Keisha B.

Yelp
Very tasty. Seems to be family owned, is always wonderfully clean and I love all the fresh ingredients. The food is so specially homemade. The food is cooked fresh to order and the people here are extremely nice. There are also booths and tables to sit and eat; the menu consists of legit authentic Mexican entrees and I find that a lot of locals really do support it in the community. I no longer live nearby but if I'm passing I stop for street tacos!!! I've also tried their nachos they were slapping. The beans and rice are great. Nice little spot, super clean, great ambience, all sorts of fresh salsa and toppings available!

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff!! I haven't had 1 bad thing there ever!! Thanks for the experience and the fresh food!! I loved it.

Yelp
This place is the bomb dot com!!!! I eat here weekly sometimes more. By far my favorite Mexican bite in the entire city. The can almost never do any wrong, the holiday hours are my only qualm as you never know how they will operate during the holiday season. That's nothing though lol please give them a try if you're considering a new place for fresh, authentic Mexican fare. They also have deliciously homemade horchata! I'm not afraid to admit that I'm pretty much obsessed with this place haha.
