I will be back, weekly…, because of the last dish I took a chance on. Elote Fuego... Good, crunchy, juicy, flavorful street corn classic as can be… dipped in Takis! I had no idea my mouth had the capacity to feel such satisfaction! Great vibes, chefs are very kind and creative, I thought the bartender hated me for a second, but in the club, we all fam (after 2 margaritas) Thanks! I love it!

Visiting from Arizona and stopped in for brunch with a local friend who’s been in before. The brunch torta was absolutely amazing and was MASSIVE for the $15ish it cost (the bread was SO soft and fluffy and deserves a special shoutout!). I didn’t try my friend’s fajita omelette but it looked fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

I love these spots. The atmosphere is relaxing and food with drinks (amazing). I tend to cater towards the puff taco, puff blue chips with queso and the Burria. All 💯 I definitely recommend even if it's with family or friends or solo mission...GO ENJOY!

We stumbled upon Taco Rock one day while shopping and went for lunch. About 5 hours later we went back for dinner! If that doesn't tell you how great this place is, I don't know what will. The atmosphere is great! Everything from '80s videos to today's, fun to watch along with several TVs. Usually with sports. The music's not too loud that you can't have a conversation. The menu is actually quite expansive, more than just tacos.. They have everything from basic tacos to more complex and fusion type tacos along with tortas, quesadillas, and even a taco salad bowl. And The joy of this place is you can eat a few tacos and a soda for less than 10 bucks. You can also go way beyond that with one of their appetizers like nachos, taco pizza, empanadas and more. The tortas and sandwiches are quite good but run a little expensive. I've yet to try the fajitas but see them often and people seem to enjoy them. Other than that, I think we've had everything on the menu! I'm at the Falls Church location weekly, and you actually start to see a lot of the same crowd there. It's not unusual to see families there with the parents on the bar side and the kids on the restaurant side. As far as the bar, it seems quite busy, but I've yet to really connect with a bartender there. Some are friendlier than others. The rest of the staff, however, are absolutely amazing. Everyone from the cooking crew who smiles and laughs but is 100% professional to the friendly and fast expediters to Mario, the master of Quality Control ensuring your leal is not only accurate but beautiful to look at, he is rhe glue that keeps the whole place together. You can't go wrong with Taco Rock!

Google
one of my favorite restaurants in falls church. the atmosphere is really fun with a bar that opens to the outside, great outdoor seating, and often have live music. their menu is huge and they always have amazing specials. my favorite is the puffy beef taco - very nostalgic to '90s tacos at home. everything i have had, whether for brunch, snack, or dinner, has all been delicious!

Google
My experience at this Taco Rock was absolutely impressive. From the inviting atmosphere to the vibrant decor, everything was perfect. The menu had a great selection of tacos, each with a unique flavor profile that I highly recommend trying. The Birria, Puff Chips, and Street corn were absolutely delicious, making my taste buds dance with joy. The bartender and staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back again. If you're looking for an authentic and tasty taco spot, this is the place to be!

Decided to stop by for lunch since it's near my office in Oakton. When you walk in, there's large bar on the left and screens to place an order on your right. You pick a pager from the top that alerts you when your order is ready. There are lots of tables, a screen playing music videos and rockstar art on the walls. The whole place is new and feels clean. I was pleasantly surprised that someone brought me my order when the pager buzzed. They were friendly. I ordered the barbacoa (least favorite), Al pastor (favorite) and fried shrimp taco (good flavor but they leave the tail on which is awkward). They only use one blue corn tortilla, but it held up well and tasted great. The radishes sort of fell all over the place. Would like to come back and try some of the drink specials.

Google
Loved the food here and prices are good. We ordered the quesadillas with extra birria and were delicious. The tacos were great too. They have some fusion flavors like tuna with spicy mayo and other things that are delicious. The chicken empanadas are super tasty, overall we had a great experience and definitely would come back to taste other dishes. It’s a self service kind of place, you order on some screens and then they call your number. The food was ready quickly. The mangonada was not my favorite but it was good, it’s very sweet. They also have Micheladas.

Yelp
Good casual taco spot with blue corn! Plenty of taco varieties for my meat hearty hubby and my vegetarian diet, Taco Rock is true to its name. Hubby enjoyed his Carne tacos. I saw some interesting dessert tacos like Pumpkin Cheesecake! Among the 3 vegetarian tacos, the General Tso Cauliflower was my favorite and hit the spot with a sweet and tangy flavor, followed by the Fried Avocado, and Balsamic Mushroom. The crispy tempura fried avocado was fun to try, but the guac was a bit soggy and while the mushrooms were cooked well and on point, the bold Balsamic sauce detracted from the flavor. I enjoyed the house-made blue tortillas! The blue Puff Chips had an interesting puffy airy texture and flavor, similar to arepas. They were a bit dense, doughy and quite filling. The guacamole was soggy and sad and the salsa was quite spicy. The chips were fun to try, but wasn't a big fan of them with the guac or the salsa. I enjoyed the Loco Coco cocktail with a bold coconut flavor more than the Mango Margarita. The Mango Margarita was good (I upgraded to Cadillac Margarita was Mezcal), but wish the restaurant used fresh juices and made them in house. As there are both Daily and Happy Hour specials, I would go back for one of the specials and the General Tso Cauliflower tacos!

Yelp
Please NOTE that this is SPECIFIC REVIEW TO ONE TRENDY NEW MENU ITEM ! The New B.Y.O. Chips bad for Walking Taco! To be very honest, I know who started the trend in the DMV area, but also, the trend isn't exclusive to one business, so let's get over this point! I don't care who started a trend, but I care about who does it better and who master it!! ;) Taco Rock is a very well established business with multiple locations, and actually, I was impressed with the ambiance and vibes! I felt I'm in Florida or another warm weather state! Outdoor seating, outdoor bar , nice colors everywhere ! Fun! Eating B.Y.O.C at a restaurant like that is definitely a much better experience than having to stand by a food truck in the street, but hey, I'll still try that experience too! The toppings varieties and options are much more and much better than the other places running the trend and still the same price! $10 This walking taco COLD WAR will definitely benefit us! I chose the Birria meat, and honestly, the portion in my chips bag was ok! It was very tasty and very cheap! For the record, I got it on a Keto friendly chips bag, and my co-worker got on a huge UTZ BBQ Ripples bag! They welcome you to get huge bags! They also have some chips bags in case you couldn't bring your own bag! But the nice thing is the CVS next door has all kinds of chips and a few steps away is Giant grocery store! Next time, I want to challenge them with a lettuce bag! ;) lol The whole experience was fun and the staff was nice , welcoming and so cool! Sitting at the bar, there was fun, and you get to take sauces and lime wedges from their toppings bar! I'll definitely go there again and try different toppings and different combinations!! Look at the menu in my photos!! Look as the portions in my photos!! LOVE IT! Please KEEP IT ON THE MENU! Thank you, TACO ROCK !! Try it, vote for the review , message me, or compliment me with any comment or question, and don't forget to ... Pray for me ;)

Yelp
First time here. My son was unsure and skeptical about "Taco Rock". He's not the biggest fan of Tex-Mex/Mexican food but he will try it cause I want to try this place. Walking in, the bar is on left and right are seats and straight ahead are ordering kiosks & the kitchen area. You can actually see them prepare the food. We ordered Birria, Al Pastor, Bbq Brisket and Fish (Grouper) tacos as well as chicken nachos. Al Pastor was pork shoulder. We kinda assumed chicken. But the taco was dry and flavorless. Even with salsa and condiments. Maybe it was a bad day. Probably won't order it again. Bbq brisket was tender, juicy and saucy. Flavor bomb. Birria taco was also tender, juicy and dipping in consomme/soup/dipping gravy was so good. My fav was fried fish (Grouper) taco. That meat was so soft, so moist, the outer coating was crispy and not oily or greasy. Its the type of seafood I would get from Key West, FL. FRESH! DELICIOUS! There were lots of TVs in bar area for sports/games. But I didnt notice cause we concentrated on the food and we sat next to the kitchen so were peaking over and the staff making/preparing the food. Fascinating. They got a kick out us two peeking over the containers and particion. Overall, my son & I loved the food in general (except Al Pastor). Most of the food was high quality & freshly prepared. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. We could have just ordered 2 tacos each and been full but didn't know how big the nachos were. We had a talk with the manager/operator of this location and told him we had a nice experience. We told him about our friend Al Pastor, not being a good friend. Kinda bland and dry. He was receptive about our comments. I would give Taco Rock a 4.5/5. But they don't give 0.5 stars on Yelp. WE'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK ROCKING THE TACOS HERE and try their other items!

Yan W.

Yelp
Not that authentic but really great service and solid nachos. If you just want a place for some he forgoes tacos. Here's your place. The happy hours are good and the staff are kind. They also have great outdoor seating and a nice fireplace. Nothing to write home to mom about but it's solid.

Genesis C.

Yelp
I loveeee Taco rock but my sister and I have not been here in a while! We decided to stop here before we did some Christmas shopping because we were super hungry. We always order the chicken crunch wrap instead of getting the steak inside, we substitute it for chicken and I add lettuce in mine. The food is always a 10/10! We sat at the bar and the bar tenders were very attentive and eager to take care of us! The place is always clean and had either the game on or music playing.

Marianne C.

Yelp
When in doubt Taco Rock I go. Why not? The food is consistently excellent and the staff friendly. So there I went again today. I love the lobster taco and my standby is the chicken taco--I ask for the avocado sauce on the side because it's so good I slather it on and have some left for my other food. I so enjoy sitting at the outdoor bar or cute tables outside. In my opinion, the best taco place in the area. It may not be authentic because it has so much variety, but that's why I like it. Always something new to try if you want.

William H.

Yelp
Service is always great when sitting at the bar. Atmosphere is unique too. A tequila bar with a rock & roll twist. Price wise, drinks can be expensive so if looking to save some money, try and go during happy hour or get the drink special of the day. Food is always delicious and fresh too. Usually like to just snack while in there, but I've gotten some tacos and fajitas from time to time and they're piping hot.

Graysen V.

Yelp
A fun taco shop with great options! Have come here a few times and tried different tacos. My favorite is the fried avocado, which is the perfect amount of fried (not too greasy, not too mushy). They're speedy and the food is always prepared on time when ordered ahead. I've only ever done takeout, so I can't speak much to the dine-in experience, but the place seems fun and welcoming nonetheless!

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
I walked in after visiting staples and felt like I was walking into a nightclub- in a good way! The music was great, upbeat, and a good volume. There was a bar with about 8 people midday in a Saturday. Lights no was good not overly bright like ready for surgery. Over the bar, there were four TVs with 3 sporting events on them. Opposite was another screen playing music. Contactless and machine ordering. Super easy. Usually I don't like this but here it worked great. There were many too. I went to wash my hands and then my order was ready. I got three tacos.: the classic Pasteur (delicious), the oyster (burst of flavor and the best one), and the avocado (good but other two outshined it). I drank water. Next time I'll sit at the bar. But gave up alcohol for lent. Putting this place in my rotation for place to satisfy taco cravings.

Shanice J.

Yelp
We arrived as soon as they were open so the ambiance was super chill as the workers were prepping for the day. They had a brunch menu where we got steak and eggs and I got a hangover brunch bowl with chorizo. So glad the chorizo was not cooked in tequila as the menu suggested. The steak was tender but had a very distinct burnt taste to the steak that I personally wasn't fond of but maybe others like it. The potatoes that came with the orders were superb and you can try at least 4 different sauces to go with it but it's not needed since the food is super flavorful without it. I will definitely come back when I'm in the mood for some tacos

Eun L.

Yelp
Stopped by after taking care of some things next door. You place your order on the screens when you walk in and pick up a pager. It's very quick and efficient. There are some long communal tables and regular tables for seating. There are also tables outside where you can sit and eat of the weather is nice. I usually wait at the communal table for my order. I've only come when I'm kinda in a hurry so never had a chance to take a good look at their menu. But it seemed like they have an interesting selection of various tacos. I usually like the classic tacos from Mexican restaurants because I find that many of the specialties go overboard with toppings or seem to have a mix of toppings that don't interest me. Here, I tried the asada tacos, and at that time, they had lamb tacos! They were all tasty and had a nice portion of radishes that added the nice crunch. They have a station on the side where you can get sauces. And I tried a variety and like the hot. One big negative is that they didn't label or differentiate the tacos so I could t tell which was what. If I lived closer, I'd definitely want to go back more often to try their specialty tacos and many of the other various items on the menu.

Yelp
My wife and I were at a store next door and decided to have dinner before heading home. The restaurant caught my eye so we decided to eat here. It's in a shopping plaza so plenty of free parking is available. Indoor seating appeared to be limited but sufficient to accommodate those to dine-in. They have a few kiosks upon entering where you order, pay, and wait for your name to be called. It's a little awkward given the lack of seating and waiting area while people are eating around you. The menu has a variety of tacos which takes a minute to review if you're not familiar with the restaurant, and proved to feel a little rushed as you're standing there at the kiosk trying to review the menu and order. One family must have stood there a good 15 mins trying to order. I ordered three carne asada tacos ($3.50 each) and a cheese quesadilla ($7). My wife ordered two of the same tacos and chips ($7). Eventually they called our name and we received our food. They have a variety of sauces near their drink station that you can put in tiny containers. None of them really wow'd my wife and I. The tacos were good but got a little messy/soggy by the time I got to the third taco. The quesadilla I thought was a little plain so kept adding sauces to spice it up a bit. The chips were a waste of money in our opinion with tasting unsalted, salsa meh and appearing old, and simply not that fresh or homemade taste you'd expect. I couldn't belief my wife paid for them, but then come to find out they were $7. They have a large bar and I tried to order a couple of drinks which they couldn't make, either because they don't carry the alcohol or didn't have the ingredients on hand at the moment. Needless to say, we passed on drinks from the bar. Given the few people at the bar and the lack of drink variety, they'd do better with getting rid of it and expanding the seating capacity. Not a bad experience but there are plenty of other restaurants with better tacos, additional food items, and better chips/salsa that are included.

Wade C.

Yelp
We like the food and atmosphere. The outdoor seating is really nice when the weather is good. I got a pupusas carne asada taco that was really good! Don't skip on it if you see it on the specials list.

David H.

Yelp
Another awesome trip here and I'll keep coming back to the bar for happy hour. Bartenders were all very friendly and attentive as usual. I had a Corona-rita and recommend giving that a try. The $6 classic lime margs are excellent but the others are worth a try as well. I enjoyed the carne asada, burria, and macha shrimp tacos and the puffy chips with salsa and guacamole are worth a try as well. I've never had a bad meal or drink here. This is a fun place with rock music, drinks and awesome Tex-Max food. I'll be back here and recommend checking it out if you're in Falls Church.

Ricardo R.

Yelp
I'm glad I discovered this place today. My son and I were looking for something to eat after practice and it was on the later side so options started to diminish quickly. The place looked cool from the outside and I was happy to see that it was pretty nice on the inside as well. Although you order on a tablet, the staff is very attentive and helpful. And the food... ohhh the food, two thumbs up. We started with the elotes (Mexican street corns) which were delicious; they charred the corns to get that smoky flavor and season it to perfection. We also had the steak burrito which truly rocked and was several multiple times better than you know who (that makes burritos and bowls). They also have plenty of birria options; I had the enchilada and it was pretty good. Good quality, good prices, and good food. Pro tip: parents, if you are bringing your kids here, take a look at the bar menu as well (wink wink).

Nicole T.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food here, great quality and the variety of tacos they have is phenomenal. I very much enjoyed, service was great too.

Khair L.

Yelp
Extremely cool place. Tacos were great and had a bunch of unique varieties (like a taco with ingredients found in a burger). The salsa bar is great too with four different flavors available. We went to watch the Commanders play there and it was an awesome atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Kewal P.

Yelp
Location is good. That's about it. I can't decide which was worse. The food or the rude Customer service. Bartenders don't know how to bartend. I had a super positive experience 2 times last year and then the 3 times I had been there this year service and staff were on the downward trend. July 3rd- closing Bartender-Josue Did not let me use the Restroom after I asked. His reasoning they were closed. Less than 5 minutes later he let someone else use it. July 5th 6:30ish pm Bartender- Adam Asked for a Drink that Jose had made me on the 3rd. He said he didn't know. Asked for whiskey,he said the best thing they had was Jonny Black. Since they didn't have my first two choices. I wanted to just have a corona. At that point Adam looked at and very Rudely said you are done. I didn't even get a single drink.

Nina L.

Yelp
What an experience! Think it's important to note the format, since it caught us off guard. First time here. Open seating (indoor and outdoor). Walk up to kiosk/iPads and order food. Sit down and go collect your food once buzzer goes off. Food is excellent, puffy blue chips & salsa (we added guac) were fresh and tasty. Ordered variety of tacos and quesadillas (shrimp, ahi tuna, birria, carne asada). Bit of a wait (over 30 minutes to get food), but it was a gorgeous Friday night, so we were patient. Worth the wait and now that we know how it works, we'll be back. Nice to have sports on for those who want to watch but I'm so glad I was facing the music videos- they rocked!

Zachary F.

Yelp
On our recent trip to Tysons Corner we stumbled across Taco Rock and from the looks of things, we had to stop by and we are glad we did! To start, you walk up to one of the touch screens to place your order. Then find a spot and wait for your buzzer to go off to pick up your order. They have a indoor/outdoor bar with a few tvs as well. The weather was perfect this day so they had outdoor seating available as well! Any time I see a birria taco I have to give it a try, and these did not disappoint! Loaded full of tender, shredded beef and gooey melted cheese, this taco will have you wanting to order some for To-Go as well! And dipped in the consommé...chefs kiss indeed! The other taco I chose was the colonel sanders. A juicy fried chicken tender seasoned perfectly, topped with slaw and pickles all wrapped in a blue corn tortilla had me contemplating ordering another lol. For sides we went with the elote fuego, a slightly spicier version of the elote, and an order of the Mexican yellow rice. Both sides were tasty and you can't go wrong with ordering either! If we are back in the area in the future we will be sure to stop by and would recommend to anyone!!

Nina R.

Yelp
Very delicious, creative and flavorful tacos. Service was pretty good, just fast or rushed. Sort of like carryout, but a step above because of the decor.

Rachael O.

Yelp
Food is pretty good. Not going to use any more for delivery because of the delivery service who has the contract. I always tip double the highest recommended amount and never know if it will get to my door properly. Eating in the restaurant is a pretty good experience, however. There are times when it gets messy. Maybe that is how busy it is and the patrons.

Cali W.

Yelp
The tunes here are a total jam--seriously, they could make a rockstar weep! The bartenders? Not a snooze-fest in sight; they're as lively as a dance party! The food? It's like a tasty mirage--slightly lukewarm, but hey, it's still edible magic. And the drinks? Perfection in a glass! There's plenty of seating and parking, so no one's playing musical chairs. Just a heads-up: the fruit flies might think they own the place. Who invited them?

Soo C.

Yelp
The bar staff is always friendly and offer suggestions if you ask them. We've been going here for a year now and we always sit at the bar. They have happy hour drink specials and their house margarita is made with fresh ingredients all made in house. The margaritas are nice and tart not too sweet. The food is tasty. I love the puffed blue corn chips and with queso. Yummy. Their birria crunch wrap was the best thing I've had on their menu. It's a big portion so it can easily be shared or take home the leftovers for later. You won't want to waste any bite. There's indoor and outdoor seating for the bar too. You can order at the kiosk or sit and order and eat at the bar. We've done both and we prefer sitting at the bar. The food is fresh and fast so if you're in a hurry this is a great place to eat and go. This has become one of our favorite places for a quick bite. It never disappoints and the prices are reasonable

Aki T.

Yelp
I loved my bowl! So many flavors in it that came from all fresh ingredients. I had black beans diced tomatoes avocado cilantro I chose lettuce for my base and beef for my craving stomach Even the Bowl itself was crispy and tasty All the servers were very friendly. Nice place for a bar counter drink or friends gathering! I am sure will come back again

Tamika H.

Yelp
Beautiful.......looking dishes but it was sooooo bland. Love the pretty casual dining feel of this place. Nice bar and nice place to meet and chill with friends butttttt it did not hit on the food front. The breakfast burrito was all sausage and spice but not good. The Ramen bowl was so disappointing, lots of unflavored meat the base was subpar. I hate to be so tough on this place because I haven't tried everything in the menu. The server was helpful and I love the energy of the kitchen. Will give them another try again. I want good guacamole.

Ashlee A.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with many options! Definitely look through all the tabs because they even have ramen. Cashier-less ordering with a buzzer that you pick up/they'll bring to you. I ordered yellow rice with 2 grouper fish tacos and I ended up ordering another taco and black beans! Perfect bites and fries well so I felt full but not heavy. The best part was their drink options though. Of course with a bar, but my nonalcoholic drink of choice was the pineapple cream soda!! I'm dreaming of it!! Nice employees and clean restaurant. We came on a Saturday evening and it began getting busy around 6pm with a mix of couples and families.

Hailey L.

Yelp
Food was a bit salty & greasy for me. I was looking forward to try their ramen, but it was disappointing. It had a lot of meat but is missing flavor. Taco was also little greasy and you will definitely find better one out there. I also highly recommend you to request tortilla to be heated. Mine came out cold so it was a bit weird... Ambiance is great. It's a bit smokey inside and they need to work on ventilation because you will come out with smokey smell all over your body and smokes may irritate your eyes. You can literally see white smokes in the air, but music and that casual vibe could be fun for family or friends. Service was good. I mean there is no tip required since you take your own food from pick up area and find your own seat but food came out pretty fast so 5/5 for service.

Austin G.

Yelp
"The space is great, but the tacos are just okay," warned a friend who suggested we meet for lunch at Taco Rock- Falls Church. Are there better tacos nearby? For sure. But Taco Rock's tacos aren't decent. Their menu is large with non-taco items like burritos. Most of their tacos are $4.50 and they have classic tacos and specialty ones. I ordered their shrimp taco and the fried chicken one on a flour tortilla. They were decent. The space is large with plenty of indoor and outdoor tacos and an indoor bar.

MC C.

Yelp
Take out for two took 40 minutes. 1/2 of my order sat in the container for 20 minutes. They were gracious enough to refire but then the rest of my food was served for dining in. ‍ When I got home I had to finish cooking the fajita vegs. They made up for it in the taste. I will give them another try. They tried and were very nice but this wasn't the best experience.

J C.

Yelp
Overall a good place with good food. However it is a little pricey for what you get. But then again, it is in Falls Church. The grouper taco was good, but only one small piece of a fried fish that may have been grouper but who knows for sure? The small size of the shell made it difficult to hold all of the "filling" (cole slaw, etc) which was the bulk of the taco. The empanadas were overcooked but the filling remained tasty. Not sure if they were made on the premises or not but I didn't ask. Having Modelo Negra on tap was a highlight. The margaritas were average. I was visiting the area and a friend recommended this place. If I go back again, I certainly give it another try.

Vandad C.

Yelp
Really all around fantastic place for lunch. It's very similar to that other chain with a few important distinctions. One the music is not SO LOUD that you feel like you have to rush through your meal to get away from the place. There's plenty of seating and a proper bar with a proper bartender though I think they have that too at some locations. You order yourself and the menu is huge, I kept going back and forth on all the pages and needed a few minutes to make up my mind. Finally, the tacos themselves are great. Been here and the Oakton location, would recommend Falls Church over the other. It's also kid friendly btw and they do have churros.

Cassie P.

Yelp
So... I want to love this place since they have so many choices... I tried the turkey option and it was just ok, plus kind of cold. Hoping the salmon was better but it was cold too and not as flavorful as I wanted. I loved my horchata. So I'm going to come and try again and pick two new tacos. You order at a kiosk and I went to pick up my tacos after my buzzer went off and it was confusing.. wasn't sure if I should just grab the order sitting there, I didn't know if it was mine or not? When I asked, they acted annoyed with me but hey it was my first time here? I wasn't sure and didn't want to just grab in case it was someone else's order as several people were waiting.

Kaitlyn C.

Yelp
Love the happy hour marg!! The elote was smothered with flavor and good for 2 people as a side. The tacos are a decent size with good filling. This was my first time having birria and it did not disappoint! Decent amount of seating inside with a bar and they also have outside tables

Yelp
I love this place , believe me when I say this place is good after living in California for over 20 years I know my Tacos ,the food is awesome really tasty and authentic everything is fresh and flavorful and for the amount of food and quality the price is really reasonable I ordered 4 different tacos ,my favorite was the pupusas which I ordered with Birria it was truly awesome the lingua was so so tasty and well seasoned and cooked the carne asada and the rock fish was also very good All the garnishes were really fresh and crisp They were all very well seasoned and enough sauce that it doesn't need any additional sauce or salsa The restaurant manager Mr Mario was very kind and friendly came to me and asked how was the food and how I liked my tacos very nice to have the staff care so much I will visit here for sure

Yelp
This is a fun restaurant/bar. I love the self-order screens, super easy to use. My fiancé and I ordered a few different tacos--they were all huge! I got the fried avocado taco and an order of nachos. The taco was solid, although the avocado tasted a little off--maybe that's from being fried? That nachos were fantastic, super flavorful. The only improvement would be more black beans. Overall, this place had fun vibes and I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again. Appreciate that the music wasn't overwhelmingly loud!

Yelp
Creatively designed fresh tacos. That's a first for me! This location offers plenty of outdoor seating, inside seating is adequate with a nice long bar. Plenty of screens for the sports fan. Clean environment, although the iPad screens are not wiped down. You walk in, order on the iPad and wait to pick up your order when the "puck buzzes". The Carne asada taco was a bit salty, seasoned with a spicy salsa, topped with cobija cheese crumbles and radish. The shakedown shrimp taco was plated beautifully with red chili threads. Seasoned nicely the heat follows the sweetness of the pickled fresno taste. The tacos are served on their signature blue corn tortilla. Freshness all around, from the fresh guacamole, salsa'and chips. Rated a three due to the lack of cleanliness observed in the dining area (bar tops were not wiped down, although the dishes were cleared quickly, the table tops were not wiped, and the beverage / salsa station was not covered, or checked.

Yelp
While there is a huge bar (legit the entire length of the space!) there's an ordering kiosk similar to what you'd find at sweet green or honey grow. Special monthly tacos are posted at the bar. I ordered to-go, so can't speak to the service, but my order was ready in just a couple minutes. Well packaged in a special taco holder style to-go container that was biodegradable!

Yelp
Decided to try Taco Rockk in Falls Church, closer to home than Alexandria. The atmosphere is fun, food quality is good, prices are reasonable and employee expediting food was efficient: but not veRy friendly. The Key West Grouper was delicious, light, crispy and perfectly fried. Slaw was a perfect balance to hear that was lingering in the background. The Chilli Belly was a different story, the pork belly overcooked, dry and stringy. I like my pork belly crisp in the outside and moist on the inside, this was just a hair away from being burned all the way through. The Picard onions was the star of the taco. I will return; but will avoid the Chilli Belly.

Yelp
Strange place....dark, loud music, wall to wall tv's, (silent, thankfully) ...order (somehow) on iPad when you enter, wait (long time) for the order then wait on yourself. But my main concern and great disappointment is the tacos themselves. They are greasy, salty, small, tasteless, uneven and inconsistent. My hb ordered several to bring home one night and they were ok so we thought we would go to eat in next time thinking tacos would be fresher and more flavorful. That was not the case. This second time of trying Taco Rock's tacos was so distressing as not only were the different tacos lacking flavor but oil the tortillas were fried in was rancid. I'm from California and always in search for that--ever elusive --great Mexican taco--

Yelp
We tried Taco Rock in Alexandria about 2 years ago and loved it, so when we were craving tacos and happened to be in the area, we decided to get takeout from the Falls Church location. This experience was definitely less good than our first experience at the Alexandria location. The standout taco was Land and Sea - it was stuffed with steak and shrimp and so flavorful! Our blackened salmon tacos were the most disappointing (salmon was dry and smelled a little fishy), but was my favorite 2 years ago so maybe it was just an off night. Macha shrimp was pretty skimpy on toppings. I do like how you can customize your tacos easily on the online order - adding condiments, removing any ingredient, subbing flour tortilla or lettuce wrap. They also have a ton of options to fit anyone's dietary restrictions - veggie, fish, and meat tacos. I'll definitely give them another shot.

Yelp
Updated review - after my last experience decided to give them another shot and boy, am I glad I did. Tried the grouper and rockfish tacos were sooooo tasty. This a time the elite was warm and delicious. The beer was cold and good. Thanks Taco Rock!!

Yelp
If you haven't been to Taco Rock you are missing out on good food and great service. This restaurant is championed by Mario who runs the place with high quality and a passion for excellence. The food is ALWAYS good and to be sure, Mario comes out to the tables to ensure that the customers are enjoying their food and it meets his standard. The restaurant is a hybrid of a fast food and a sit-down experience. Mario ensures that it's a smoothly operating machine while never losing sight of the fun experience. A shout-out is also deserved for the runners who bring the food to the table. You are never getting a bad or cold meal here.

Yelp
While in town this weekend, we stopped by Taco Rock for dinner. The restaurant was rock themed and had a nice ambiance. We ordered at a kiosk when you walk in and then get a buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. Our food came out pretty quick and everything was great. I ordered the colonel Saunders taco and the shake down shrimp taco. The colonel Saunders was my favorite. I loved the combination of the blue tortilla with fried chicken, yummy sauce and pickles. The shrimp taco was pretty good as well. If you order it, don't forget to take the tail off as it does come with one shrimp with the tail on. The blue corn tortillas really took these to the next level with a unique flavor. We split an order of the chips with queso and chorizo. The queso was good but I didn't love the chorizo on top. The chips were big and fluffy with a nice crisp to them. The elote fuego was super yummy! The corn was nice and sweet, which really complimented the spice of the taquis on top. The rice was almost like a Tex mex version of fried rice. Overall I really enjoyed our meal and would love to come back!

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink, snack on puffy chips with guacamole/salsa, and grab some delicious tacos! A wide variety of tacos from the traditional carne Asada to salmon or even some pork belly! Very unique and original in taste. There are hot sauces ranging from hot!!! To mild pending your enjoyment. Will definitely be back! Enjoy!

Yelp
Very busy, but quick friendly service. The food was delicious (a few different tacos and vegetarian nachos). I want to try the birria next time. It feels like a riff off Taco Bamba with the loud music and a sports bar with all the TVs. The actual sitting area is terribly organized and uncomfortable. The salsas are terrible. And the soda is terrible.
