Taco Rock in Falls Church, VA, is a culinary gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and the friendly staff, who were more than happy to guide me through their menu. The bar is a major highlight, boasting an impressive selection of beers on tap and bottles, as well as a variety of juices and sodas to quench any thirst.
The decor is eclectic and fun, with art guitars hanging from the ceiling adding a touch of rockstar flair. The tunes playing in the background perfectly complemented the lively atmosphere, making me feel like I was in for a treat.
I opted for the Gordito Style Burrito, and it was love at first bite! The burrito was loaded with tender beef, not tough or hard, creamy sour cream, crunchy lettuce, and melted jack cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. But the real showstopper was the sizzling chipotle queso on top, it added a depth of flavor that took the dish to the next level. The paper on the food tray will get ruined by the queso, I recommend a plate so the paper won't get in the way while you eat the burrito.
What really sets Taco Rock apart, though, is the staff's passion for good food. They're clearly knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about sharing their recommendations. I could tell they genuinely care about serving high quality dishes that showcase fresh, flavorful ingredients.
The restaurant's atmosphere is also worth raving about. The indoor seating area is cozy and inviting, while the outdoor space is perfect for warm days or nights spent with friends and family. The adirondack chairs and outdoor fireplace add a touch of warmth and charm, making it an ideal spot to linger over a meal or a drink.
I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their delicious offerings, like the street corn, Barbacoa Braised lamb tacos with chimichurri salsa, radish, onions, and cilantro, and the slow-cooked Birria beef. If you're looking for a great spot to satisfy your cravings, Taco Rock is an absolute must try!
