TACO TAVERN

Stopped in on a Tuesday for tacos. Service at the bar was slow but decent. Food came out quick and was fast. Had to ask for utensils to eat with. Staff were running around fast, and probably needed more help. Had the burrito bowl (chicken) and it was very good. Drinks were good and bathrooms were clean. A+. Only negative was slow service. Will visit again!!

It was our first visit to Taco Tavern. My steak quesadillas were the best I’ve ever had! Kayla and Nelly were our amazing servers - Great food and service! We will definitely be back!!

This local family owned taco joint absolutely takes the tortilla. The Mac Taco? A masterpiece. The guac? Fresher than your ex’s excuses. And that prickly pear margarita? Untouchable. Don’t even get me started on the fried ice cream — pure magic.

Taco Tavern has a great vibe! Had the buffalo chicken tacos, perfectly crispy, packed with flavor, and just the right amount of heat. The atmosphere is colorful, energetic, and fun, with a great welcoming vibe. The bar is huge, super inviting, and a great spot to kick back with one of their fresh margaritas—mine was awesome. Tons of unique flavors and super refreshing without being overly sweet. They also have a huge party room, which makes it a perfect spot for events or get-togethers. Service was excellent—friendly, fast, and totally on point. Can’t wait to come back!

Taco Tavern is great! If you have not been yet 5/5 recommend! The food was great, and the drinks were too! NELLY our server was great. Very personable and fun to talk with! She recommend me a blueberry margarita and it hit the spot. Great atmosphere and a chill spot to hangout and have a couple drinks with great food. Good music and plenty of tvs to catch a game. We will definitely be back.

We went to Taco Tavern with the intent to have a full meal. We stopped after the appetizer. The good: - Very friendly service. - The place is extremely clean - Decent enough draft beer selection - Free chips and salsa! The not so great: - Look at the picture of the nachos. These are on par with what my dear Norwegian mom would make. The cheese is straight up squeeze pretzel cheese. No flavor. We ordered Carne nachos. The meat was dry and flavorless, obviously cooked much earlier, probably the day before and it had more of a jerky texture. The lettuce was a bit red, showing its age. I think there were diced onions on it, but not green onion or anything that stood out. No beans. No guacamole. We ordered avocado for an extra $1.50. The portion was huge, but flavorless. We picked the chips to eat with the free salsa. These cost about $18 Aside from the quality of the food, the order was wrong. The menu clearly states the nachos come with jalapenos. There were none, but they sliced up a jalapeno when we asked. The issue here is nachos should be a blend of toasted, warm items and fresh vegetables, like a deconstructed taco. This was stone cold and bland. Since there was a quality issue with the actual freshness, we stopped eating and called it a day. One more note - A patron was sitting at the bar vaping. She was a friend of some employee there who was behind the bar. That is a deal breaker in my book and is also against the law. Gross.

I had an awesome experience at Taco Tavern thanks to our server, Kayla. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic, she made us feel welcome the moment we sat down. Our drinks were always topped off, she checked in at all the right times, and her recommendations were spot-on. Kayla’s upbeat attitude and great service truly elevated the whole dining experience. If you visit Taco Tavern, I highly recommend asking for her—you won’t be disappointed! Thanks for making our night fantastic, Kayla! 🌮✨

Honestly just putting a review because I just had the driest tacos ever. How do I order 6 tacos and I didn’t get not even ONE salsa.6 steak tacos and 3 cokes and it was $52. No salsa included for tacos is wild for that price. Also the ingredients on top were very sparse. Ironic that it’s called taco tavern but they don’t throw in at least one salsa for 6 tacos. Crazy work.

This is a brand new restaurant that just opened up around June 2025 with a large bar. The colors are very inviting. It's a bright beautiful atmosphere. It was a Saturday afternoon for me, so I walked into the restaurant and placed an order to go. The young lady behind the bar, took my order. She was extremely friendly and very informative. I ordered a beef taco, a steak taco, an order of nachos and rice and beans. The nachos were the star of the show. They were delicious because the beef was seasoned well and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the tacos, but they were missing something. The seasoning weren't as bold and they didn't give me any sauce green or red salsa to put on my tacos. The rice and beans were pretty good, but they could've used a little more seasoning. I'm gonna check this place out again in September but next time I'll dine in so standby for part two. The jury is still out on this one.

Head lunch here here today. The restaurant is inviting The décor. Is very nice. I was greeted by the hostess She was very pleasant.She asked me if I wanted A high top or regular table. The bartender also said hello. I ordered the 2 taco lunch. You have a choice of beef taco chicken or al pastor for$10.00. You have the choice of 3 types of beans and 2 types of rice. I chose the beef, taco and Al pastor And Mexican rice And refried beans. I also ordered their Lime beer. You also get free chips and Salsa. The salsa was good. The chips also mild salsa. Tacos were both good. I liked the pastor best.The beer was good. My waitress was good.She just forgot to bring my change back.So I adjusted the tip. A very nice place the food is good.I'll be back.

Delicious food from an extenisve menu. Nice servers, Good prices. (it's not in plain sight from 191st Street or LaGrange Road. It's behind the Denny's.)

It's a Bar that makes Taco's very expensive tacos, the filet mignon taco was very good, but it was eight dollars, do you wanna go have a drink play some slots get ok service this is the spot for you, not for Mexican food, give the wings we're OK not even bar. OK they were just OK. This is a bar that serves food. Noting really restaurant quality for the money.

SERVICE...is poor, went there on a busy Saturday during the holidays, understandable. However went the other night we were one of few customers. The employees made it feel uncomfortable to eat as they were goofing around. Not to mention we had to flag down another employee because the bartender disappeared when we wanted to order a drink. Food is good, but I'd recommend just taking it to go and not dining in.

Well taken care of by Kayla at Taco Tavern - a restaurant that is transformed to a home away from home by a server who cares! Picked Taco Tavern due to rave reviews about Gringo Lime Lager and food. Modified fajitas to make them vegetarian and the chefs made sure the veggies and guac were in abundance. Extra touches like Mexican rice, mushrooms in the veggie mix and cheese on the refried beans made this the fajita platter of my dreams. Will be back the next time I am in town.

Very lively atmosphere, bar looking with casual seating. We were serviced very fast and the waitress kept checking in on us. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! There were a few of us, we ordered the taco salad, chicken fajitas and the chicken bowl. No complaints from any of us. The warm chips and salsa were also delicious. If you have a HUGE appetite these servings will certainly satisfy.

Food is decent but service is poor. Went here cause it's close to home. Had 4 people working the bar for the 4 people sitting at it and one waitress serving the rest of the establishment. Waited 15 minutes after the bus boy brought out salsa. Felt we had to stay because we ate the chips and salsa. If not for that would have left after 10 minutes of no contact. Try it out maybe this is just our luck. Normally go to Camino Viejo by Emagine theaters. There food and prices blow this place out of the water and we won't stray from them again. BTW for what you get here the prices are insane!!

The food was really good and the service was amazing. We never had to ask or wait for anything. Frozen blueberry margarita was perfect. We also tried the grilled chicken burrito, tequila lime wings, buffalo chicken taco, shrimp taco, and filet mignon quesadilla. The inside of the restaurant is fun and colorful. We will definitely be back.

Went for dinner, the place looks nice, hostess was friendly. Waiter came over took our drink order fairly quickly, that's where the good parts end. The food/drinks are sooo overpriced! $12 house margarita, $5-7 for 1 taco with no side! $14 burrito no side! The salsa is just tomato sauce, had very little flavor. Everything is a la cart, what Mexican restaurant doesn't have dinners? The menu doesn't have anything unique, very basic. My wife's chicken bowl doesn't come with any sauce/dressing, it was dry because of that. It was under staffed, 3 wait staff for the whole place on a Friday night. There are 4 other Mexican restaurants within 1 mile of this place so if things don't change it will be gone like the BBQ place before it.

I didn't feel like for it being a new place the help was not friendly or welcoming. While the food was pretty good I thought it was a bit pricey 7$ for a pot roast taco, beans and rice are extra. House margaritas are 12$. 3.5% if you use a credit card. The atmosphere was ok.

the food was ok, but what kept this from being a 1 star was a bus boy/deliverer named Alex Alex never stopped! going from table to table cleaning, bring out food and helping customer we watched him the whole time we were there probably won't come back sorry Alex hope this restaurant appreciates your hard work

I have become a regular at this place, so much they know me by name. Everything I have ordered has been 5 Star. I try to add something new every time I go. The service is always amazing. I am not big on deserts but the Fried ice Cream is out of this world. The Mac Taco is just like a Big Mac wrap, the Pot Roast Taco is fantastic. Highly Recommend

Stopped in late on a Thursday and got an order to go.. man let me tell you the tacos traveled well.you've Got to try this place if you haven't! I can only imagine eating there being that much better. Great job!

To start out the beer was ice cold. We were served salsa and chips. Really good! Chip were homemade, thin and crispy and salsa was excellent. Had tacos, Al pastor, beef and shredded chicken. Full tacos, not skimpy at all. Didn't try beans and rice so no comment. Our server, Genevieve was friendly, helpful and was very positive about the business which already has a good reputation. Our bartender, Lorren, was friendly and conscientious. Would definitely go back again. Also, the restaurant colors were vibrant and it was very clean.

I cannot take this anymore. I walked in an as soon as I heard there was no horchata I knew it was game over. They were playing country music? not sure why in a Mexican restaurant but okay. The chips and salsa was ok pretty watery, pretty salty. The burrito I got was steak, tasted like human meat and unseasoned, with cilantro and lime( no flavor, pinto beans(mid), tomatoes sour cream and cheese, couldn't even taste. I felt like was just eating a big burrito of nothing. my server was very nice but everyone else working their was very unwelcoming one guy didn't even respond back to us. they messed up an order even though there was almost nobody in there besides us. after eating I felt sick to stomach and super nauseous. Also there is like no traditional Mexican food there. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Excellent! Second time here! Food is great! Steak & Chicken Fajita combo plate plenty for 2 people. Pork tacos amazing. Chips & salsa great too! Server Dusty is awesome! Friendly, welcoming and exceptional service.
