The N is missing. That bothered me at first. Don't let it stop you from visiting this amazing spot.
My friend and I drove over from the Westside, found some street parking (IT IS POSSIBLE), and walked over. The cashier was chill. Almost too chill. We ordered a pair of tacos and the Asada Fries. Vegan Asada? Vegan Baja "fish" taco? Vegan Al Pastor? I was hopeful, but skeptical.
No need for skepticism, the food absolutely slapped. It wasn't too busy so our food was on the table no more than 5 minutes after ordering. I was sipping horchata between Asada Fries before putting their house salsas to the test on the tacos. The Baja Fish taco is a battered cauliflower mix and it is the best replacement for a fish taco I've ever had. The Al Pastor was tasty with the right zing. The fries were crispy and had the perfect texture and taste.
If you're wanting Vegan tacos and you're in the area, definitely stop by. Looking to try someplace new and ready for a drive? Worth it. Make the drive, sit out back on the covered patio, and enjoy some amazing Vegan Tacos from Taco Vega.
