"Taco Vega is the next addition, arriving at the former Paramount Coffee Project in Fairfax District from Jared Meisler and Jared Simons. Meisler, who also owns the Friend in Silver Lake, met Simons when he was cooking at Escuela on Beverly. The two Jareds are partnering for the first time, hoping to do tacos, burritos, salads, and other easy-going fast-food to busy Fairfax, which already has things like breakfast burritos, pizza slices, burgers, and fusilli a la vodka." - Matthew Kang

I can’t say enough nice things about this place. It is so incredibly good! I bring my non-vegan friend here all the time and they love it. They make the most incredibly beautiful food made from the heart. It’s more of a whole food place, but they also have meat substitute options. I’ve been eating my way through the menu and have yet to find something I don’t like. A beautifully aesthetic restaurant with the most incredible food presented in an even more gorgeous manner. I can’t find a picture of the salad I ordered, but do your eyes and tummy a favor: try one! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, street parking nearby and the best staff around. Great place for a meal with family, friends, a date, or even a business acquaintance for a lunch meeting.

The N is missing. That bothered me at first. Don't let it stop you from visiting this amazing spot. My friend and I drove over from the Westside, found some street parking (IT IS POSSIBLE), and walked over. The cashier was chill. Almost too chill. We ordered a pair of tacos and the Asada Fries. Vegan Asada? Vegan Baja "fish" taco? Vegan Al Pastor? I was hopeful, but skeptical. No need for skepticism, the food absolutely slapped. It wasn't too busy so our food was on the table no more than 5 minutes after ordering. I was sipping horchata between Asada Fries before putting their house salsas to the test on the tacos. The Baja Fish taco is a battered cauliflower mix and it is the best replacement for a fish taco I've ever had. The Al Pastor was tasty with the right zing. The fries were crispy and had the perfect texture and taste. If you're wanting Vegan tacos and you're in the area, definitely stop by. Looking to try someplace new and ready for a drive? Worth it. Make the drive, sit out back on the covered patio, and enjoy some amazing Vegan Tacos from Taco Vega.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised how good the California burrito was. I’m not usually a fan of burritos since they’re usually boring, but I love how juicy and spicy my burrito was! There’s also a patio in the back to enjoy our meal. Great place and would definitely go back for more.

Best Mexican in LA. Baja and quinoa tacos are amazing. Don’t sleep on the beefy crunchy taco either. Nachos will change your life. Oh, and the churros were hot and fresh.

Honestly one of the best crispy beef tacos. Also tried the California burrito which was delicious. Wish there was one on the west side!

Absolutely delicious! I am not a vegan, in town from Kentucky and wanted to try out something different. Just absolutely amazing food the flavors go together so well. We were not even sure what to order so we ordered one of each taco and a bowl and all of it was delicious didn't really matter what you ordered. Absolutely 100% recommend to anyone vegan or not.

I’m surprised the reviews for Taco Vega are so high. Maybe we went on a bad day for the chef or maybe we didn’t order well, but most of our food was not so fresh, especially the Spanish rice and taco pastor. The iron man bowl was interesting and pretty flavorful, but the avocados were past their prime. I didn’t appreciate the loud AC/DC music. On the positive side, the patio was nice, and the service was great. I had high hopes for this place, as there aren’t a lot of vegan Mexican restaurants. Maybe I’ll try it again someday, but for now I’ll spend the extra money to go to Gracias Madre.
