This place is still as good as when it first opened. I would consider it one of the best taquerias in the Silverado Ranch/Henderson area. Considering the increase in cost for many places, they maintain a reasonable price, when compared to similar spots. Each tacos is about $3. My favorite tacos are the lengua and al pastor. They have other items in the menu though, including street corn! What I love is that their pastor meat is made the traditional way. It was delicious and one of my favorite places for al pastor tacos. I also like that they have a small salsa bar with some really yummy crunchy sliced radishes. My new favorite way to eat radishes with my tacos! The lengua was flavorful and tender, just perfect for me. I will say, I tried the carne asada taco, and I was not impressed. I've definitely had better in other places. It did have some flavor, but it needed more. I also felt like the guacamole they put on top, brought down the temperature of the taco, which made seem like you were eating the meat cold. It could've also just been the temperature of the meat, but all the other meats I tried were perfect.
I should note that when they first opened, you were able to go up to the taquero and order, which I loved. It felt more like the traditional way of going to a taqueria. I'm not sure if it changed after COVID or for some other reason, but now you have to order at the counter and they give you a number. Someone then brings the food to your table. This system isn't too bad, but I feel like it takes away from the original and intended experience here. Either way, it's not an enough to bring my review down by a star. The restaurant is still delicious, clean, and spacious. They have two floors for dining in.
One thing that I like about this place, is that the food comes out fairly fast. It's hard to find "brick-and-mortar" restaurants like these, that have real taqueros that put in some work to get the orders out quickly.
Overall, a great place to have some good tacos and a drink. I saw they had beers on tap, and I think they have tequila and other hard liquors.
If you're looking for some good street tacos and authentic al pastor on the spit, or de trompo as we call it in Spanish, this is a good place to visit.
