Austin Taco Chain Tacodeli Opens Southwest Austin Restaurant | Eater Austin

"A new southwest Austin outpost is opening on Thursday, April 28 with its full breakfast, lunch and dinner taco menu; this location will also add cocktails and draft beers for the first time. The opening day will feature a 7 a.m. workout class, a community market with vendors such as Vital Farms and Texas Coffee Traders, live music and other activities. The space—designed by Lilianne Steckel—includes an indoor dining room and a patio. It is the chain’s seventh Austin location and will operate weekdays 7 a.m.–9 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m.–9 p.m." - Nadia Chaudhury

Southwest Austin Can Finally Have Tacodeli Tacos Starting This Summer | Eater Austin

"A local taco chain is opening its seventh Austin location in the Circle C neighborhood at 5701 Slaughter Lane (in the former BurgerFi space), scheduled to debut in late summer. The brand already has restaurants in Houston and the Dallas area and will also appear as a vendor at a new Tarrytown farmers’ market, reflecting ongoing expansion across the region." - Erin Russell

I've lived in Austin for over a decade, and my favorite Tacodeli location used to be off of Spyglass. I came to this location a few times in the past few years and was not impressed; the food was wildly over-seasoned and overcooked, the staff didn't seem to be paying attention to anything, etc. I'm glad I gave this place another chance today, because somehow things seem to have turned around 180 degrees. The food was great - as good if not better than the Spyglass location's - and the service was warm and friendly. Other people must've noticed too, because the restaurant was almost full (a far cry from my previous experiences, where I'd be one of the only ones dining in). After my meal, I walked up to the manager and shook his hand, thanking him for helping turn the place around.

Grab n go tacos were not available at noon. Says until 3pm. My Migas taco had egg and cheese. Nothing else . No chips, one tiny piece of tomato. Cmon, yall are better than this! It’s only this location

July 2025 The special of the moment taco was the Mojo Risin' Chicken Taco and decided to order it. The chicken was so tasty with strong Mexican flavor that was very tasty. The flour taco was made with avocado oil and it self had a nice unique taste. This was a limited menu option but will truly miss it when it goes away. October 2024 Taco Deli sure has excellent tasting breakfast tacos and coffee. I had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese and it was satisfying. I made my order online using their app so I can use my rewards discount. The staff was very helpful and happy. I had another great experience.

Food is good, service is good - staff were friendly and helpful and even checked with the kitchen on ingredients for me (dairy in the mashed potatoes), BUT the soda machine is NASTY and covered in mold, which makes me concerned for the rest of the cleanliness.

Friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly. And after one taco, I can say it's great. I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but Austin used to have incredible options for breakfast tacos. Not so much now, but Tacodeli is carrying the torch. Definitely pay them a visit.

Update April 2025: it was so good last year we had to come back again this year and we are glad we did. We found a couple of new favorite tacos. The Akaushi Picadillo was better than ever and the Puerco Verde was delicious. The Papadulce (with sweet potato) was just ok, but definitely unique. April 2024: We had a good assortment of tacos that ranged from $4.50 to $5.50 each. Our favorites were the Delibelly (pork belly), the Shrimposito (grilled Texas gulf shrimp), Puerco Verde (pork shoulder, salsa verde), and Akaushi Picadillo (ground beef). The MOJO SALMON had lots of Mojo, a bit spicy, but good! I also thought the Space Cowboy with baby portabella mushrooms was a standout!

Passed this place a hundred times before checking it out. A friend finally brought me, and I was surprised at how tasty the tacos were. This is not Taco Bell! (I've visited a few times now, and I've liked everything I've tried.

The food is excellent. Kinda hungry? One taco. Really hungry? A bowl or a couple tacos. The salads and dressings are delicious too. This spot is bright, spacious, the service is excellent. Someone arrived with a fresh cup of coffee. Another time, someone has offered kids coloring sheets. I always enjoy eating here.
