Randomly found this location and enjoyed a quick lunch here. Was glad the staff let me customize the tacos I wanted, and I enjoyed both of them, even if they were on the small side for me. The Mexican Rice WAS EXCELLENT. I don't know how they prepped it, but it didn't need any additional seasonings (and I didn't want to be a glutton by ordering the next size up and inhaling that too.) Staff was friendly, location was clean and tidy, and it had a decent amount of dine-in and takeout traffic for a late Fri afternoon. If you can negotiate the parking situation, it's worth stopping in for a meal.

Stopped in to try their tacos for a quick lunch. Ordered the mojo salmon, the Frontera fundido shrimp, and the shrimposito all on corn tortillas. When I first saw them, I was a little miffed as there was only one tortilla with each taco and I expected the generous toppings to fall out as the tortillas crumbled...but they did not crumble or fall apart ! I was able to get all of the bright, fresh, quality ingredients into my mouth and did not need a fork ! The gulf shrimp were large and well cooked as was the salmon. Their salsas were also very tasty. Would definitely recommend you check this place out !

Taco Deli is my go-to spot for fresh pico de gallo, delicious sauces, and amazing entrees! The staff is super friendly and always quick to serve. I've never had a bad experience here—it's just fantastic!

Personally my favorite tacos in Dallas. A little pricey but the ingredients are high quality and totally worth it. I come here at least once a week— shoutout to the staff too, they always go above and beyond. Also, the margs are strong. Like Gloria’s strong.. iykyk

I typically love traditional tacos very authentic Mexican tacos. But this place has the BEST specialty tacos Tex-mex tacos. Ever since someone put me on I've been back Non-Stop!

Plenty of healthy and vegetarian options with 5 vegetarian tacos and multiple sauces/salads. We arrived at around 8 pm, and service was quick since only a few people were there, with no line. We got our order ordered quick, and within a few minutes we got our starter, chips and queso. The queso was very good and the chips were alright. Not too long after,both the heather and Space cowboy tacos arrived. The heather tasted not bad, however the space cowboy was awesome with plenty of vegetables.

First visit to Tacodeli- I was REALLY surprised by how much i liked the taco- despite it being very messy- the corn tortilla is very flexible and reminds me of HEB mexcla tortillas. The toppings were great and perfect over the melted cheese.

I stopped into taco deli because I am visiting from out of state and love Tex Mex! This was a great pit stop for a quick lunch. I got three tacos, rice and beans, and a Paloma which came out to about $27. Tacos were delicious and I would definitely purchase their salsas which are available in Whole Foods. For a quick meal I would definitely check this joint out. Compliments to the chef!

We haven't had taco deli in a very long time. I was craving the delibelly taco, which I am glad it is now permanently on the menu. I think before it was a weekend thing only. Again, it's been like 8+yrs since I've been in taco deli. We tried the pollo mole- it was okay. I like mole and this did was alright. Barbacoa - my fiancés favorite. Deli belly - the pork belly, my favorite. The pork belly was a little bit dry/hard (maybe been sitting there too long or over cooked) but the flavor was there. If there was pickled onions or slaw it would be perfect. I love that we can get our own hot sauces. I love the jalapeño crema and habanero sauces. Very nice area with lots of other places around and nice to walk around too.

A very okayish lunch. Never been to taco deli before. Was told this was superior to torchy and other similar restaurants. It didn't knock my socks off, but it wasn't terrible either. Got three tacos as recommended by the guy who took my order. I don't remember their names but they are pictured. I order all flour but received all corn. No sweat don't need the gluten anyway. But yeah. The meat was very salty to me. Did I still crush it, of course. But if you have high BP be weary. Their sauces were what made the tacos better. Loved them. I would come back just to try different tacos, they have plenty on the menu to suit even the pickiest of folks.

Love love love! The facility is bright, open, and clean. The staff greet you as you walk in the door. The food comes out quickly! The tacos were perfect! I got the vegan tacos and they were flavorful and filling! I will come back again!

This is a lunch/breakfast staple in our office and that definitely won't change anytime soon! The migas, the Otto, the heather and the sirloin are some of my favs... and the Dona if you love spice you'll love the Dona hot sauce. The food is extremely fair priced for quality ingredients. The space is open and bright and they offer delivery which is super great. Overall, it's amazing.

Frontera Fundido Sirloin Review I meant to take a picture of the tacos lol! Anyways, they were good! Especially the siracha sauce! Made the burn REAL!! However they were a lil tiny for $6.60 a pop plus charged 30 cents or greater if you add toppings. Which got them down to 3 stars...Taco bell does not charge for toppings and are comparable haha! But I would be willing to try it again:

I love this location, every time I visit Dallas I make a stop at this Tacodeli. Ricardo is an amazing employee! He is nice, caring and efficient. He gets IT done! Tacodeli is lucky to have him on your team.

I love Tacodeli! Doesn't take long at all! They have so many great tasting options! I've tried a good chunk of their menu and haven't been disappointed! This is the place to go for tacos! Their patio is great to hang out on a nice sunny day!

You just can't go wrong with breakfast tacos and coffee, the food is always freshly made to order using all fresh ingredients and their coffee is good too. The barbacoa was so tender and super flavorful and you can also build your own, like one of my personal favorites - bean, cheese and bacon. The chips and queso are also delish but they don't give you enough chips since the chips come in prepacked plastic bags, which I don't care for but that would be my only complaint. The guacamole is also really well made and super tasty!

Order the bacon egg and cheese taco, frontera fundido chicken and freakin vegan taco and some rice and beans. All the food was fresh and delicious. Great spot to grab a bite when your in rush bc they are timely with the order. Came here Sunday for a quick brunch snack and enjoyed the food. Clean environment with outside seating.

We tried this place for the first time recently. The staff was friendly. They had several tables inside and a nice patio. The chicken tacos were tasty. The chicken mole tacos and el picosito tacos had great flavor. We enjoyed the chips and queso as well. The only downside was it was a bit pricey. For 4 tacos, 2 fountain drinks and the chips and queso, it was $36. However, we would try it again.

For the price I really expected more. The cashier was very friendly and the frozen margarita & the salmon taco were really good. We also tried the queso, Mexico City sirloin, pollo fantastico, & shrimposito, & kids chicken quesadilla. The cashier told us the shrimp tacos weren't good and we should've listened lol. It had zero flavor! $50 total & I wasn't impressed. Also they got my order mixed up with the person who ordered after me so one of her tacos came out with mine on my tray & I was missing one that I ordered. I don't know how that happened.

These were amazing tacos. The flour tortillas tasted homemade, and most importantly, soft. The eggs and mushrooms were seasoned very well and the beans were a good consistency. For the dining area, there was a good outdoor seating area that had fans to cool you off in the hot Texas heat. The indoor area was great with plenty of natural light and seating.

I've definitely had these breakfast tacos randomly at a coffee shop but never been to their actual restaurant, I'm so glad I finally got to try it! It's even more amazing when it's made to order! I love that you can choose what kind of tortilla. Our server recommended corn and he was so right on point about that. I got the Jess (migas!) and the Otto (black bean!) both were amazing and very stuffed! My only regret is that i gobbled them up quickly before I had a chance to take a photo. In the past, I have gotten The Vaquero and the Chorizo, Egg, Cheese. I'd love to come back and get it made to order here.

Bad attitude, bad service . It is a shame, tacos are good . They do not know the meaning of customer service.

I am so happy I discovered this place! Tacodeli comes in handy when you're craving tacos with a lil spin. Think more of Tex-mex. Yeah, I know....another casual tex-mex spot. I think you yelpers might be pleasantly surprised. My absolute favorite is the cowboy taco. Each time I've ordered it was very filling. Nice flavor and a decent amount of tenderloin. They can go a lil crazy on the gauc so I usually get mine on the side. My runner ups are the FRONTERA FUNDIDO beef and chicken. The salmon taco and regular queso was ok. I can't say I'd order either again. The refried black beans are a good side. The Mexican rice was a little spicy which I didn't expect. The next items I'm looking forward to trying is EL PICOSITO shrimp, DELIBELLY, and POLLO EN MOLE. I'll be sure to update my review when I do! They offer breakfast and margaritas to go which everyone seems to love. Plus, an attainable rewards program. I suggest trying TacoDeli when you're in the mood for a quick bite with different tacos options. Check them out!

Holy guacamole!! Seriously! The guac is a must have. It has a kick and it's my favorite. However, I'm not really a fan of their chips. I recommend just adding to your breakfast bowl. I get beans, cheese, jalapeños and avocado. Yes, I then add some guacamole to my avocado. I know, I know but don't knock it until you try it!

I'm from Austin, and I love Tacodeli tacos!!! When I come through Dallas each month to visit my family, I frequently stop here to grab tacos on my way into Richardson. The staff at the Walnut Hill location are duds that don't seem to care at all about being friendly or quick service. The cashier seemed bothered that I was there, and I think I waited almost 1/2 an hour for 4 tacos and a small queso. Also $4.95 for less than 1/4 cup of subpar queso is ridiculous highway robbery!!!

Amazing. Came here for a quick bite to eat for breakfast. Got two tacos Jess This came with eggs, cheese, avocado and egg. I added shrimp to mine. Foundo This was added with shrimp and had onions, peppers so simple but so good We got the watermelon juice and melon both so refreshing to

Great food. Always fresh and tasty... margs are great as well! The watermelon aqua is a refreshing drink that isn't too sweet. All of the salsa choices are delicious.

Came in during a quick charging session. One word. Impressive! I'll definitely will be coming back to get my grub on while waiting for my car to charge up. Breakfast Tacos x2

This Place is way too expensive, I order 2 chicken( Mexico City) taco. That by the way had more cilantro and onion on it than chicken. With a scoop of black refried beans and rice. And an order of two shrimp tacos. 1 drink. Total 31$. Not only was it expensive it was not that good. Chicken and shrimp needed more flavor/spices. And it took over 20 minutes for food to come out. Queso was the only item I enjoyed.

They get 1 star because they're guacamole is okay. Everything I got was salty, even my margarita on the rocks with NO SALT. On top of being salty, it was just plain nasty. I couldn't eat the taco or drink the margarita. They must be having an off day because there is no way in the world they got 4 stars serving this.

We were in Austin a couple of weekends ago and went to the one there that was awesome. Perhaps this one doesn't have it down yet. My BF went in to order our 4 tacos to go. He wound up waiting a good 12 minutes and I was waiting in the car but we almost left then the tacos came out! They were not busy inside at this time. 8/28/20 around 7:25 am was when we got there. Perhaps, calling an order in is faster then walking in to order because they were busy with those orders which seemed to be moving along. It would be great if the tacos were worth the wait. Unfortunately, they were not. I had to heat them up in the microwave and then the portion was a little more on the stingy side compared to the ones we had in Austin. The taste was nothing to write about either. I do like their corn tortillas and that they only use one versus two. (I'm trying to watch for extra calories) The location was nice and it was clean. He said that the staff was friendly and his opinion is that they were overwhelmed with a order made to pick up and they "prioritize" those orders versus the people that walk in. Well, I can't say we will be returning any time soon. There's a lot of great taco places in town so if this place wants to stay around it's going to have to stand out among the rest and on the particular day. They didn't have us wanting to return.

Wow! Never had been here before and breakfast tacos and salsa bar is great! I wish they sold the salsa togo in bottles! Very nice local spot and will be back! Fast service and nice outdoor seating!

I don't like that this place doesn't display prices on the menu. You don't know the price until you start ordering. But the prices were not bad. This review is specifically for breakfast. I ordered the Otto and Jess Special and both tacos were good but extremely salty. My guess is that it was the eggs since both tacos had different Ingredients. I'm usually a fan of salty foods and add more salt than most but it was excessive. Especially for breakfast. Staff is five stars great. The location is good with plenty of parking during breakfast hours. I'm sure it gets packed during lunch and especially dinner with other restaurants in the area. But I'll for sure be back for quick fresh tacos.

I went on a recommendation from a friend from Austin. I ordered a lunch taco and a breakfast taco. The eggs were cold as if they had made it first while they cooked the beef for the lunch taco. The cheese didn't even melt. The queso had a good taste but was so runny that it barely stuck to the chip. Not a fan!

Great food and great costumer service, fresh corn tortillas and flour, seems hand made! They say farm to taco and I believe it. Awsome recommendations from staff and also super friendly! Food was hot and fresh for sure!! Make a hotter salsa??? Pretty cool music!

I love the tacos and they have long been a staple for me living nearby, but what makes me give the review is the service. I made a mistake and submitted an order for the Plano location on accident, but they were so kind and quickly just made the tacos for me here even though I paid the other location. Great customer service even when I, the customer, was at fault. They saved my morning.

The tacos is casually good, grabbed some tacos there recently. I had carne asada taco and breakfast tacos. They have limited tacos flavors but its all good. The options were great and love the food so much. Pretty slow service.

Before I get started, let me say that the tacos were good and the restaurant was clean. That said, based on the rest of our experience, we won't be back. The cashier wasn't familiar with the menu and we had to repeat ourselves a number of times. Their register couldn't read either of our credit cards. We ordered frozen margaritas. A few minutes later that same cashier came to our table and announced they were out of frozen margaritas. I decided to have one on the rocks instead. Boyfriend got a beer instead, necessitating a visit to the register again for a credit for the difference (which has yet to show up). He got his beer and my rocks margarita arrived...without the rocks. Just a semi-cold concoction that looked like a margarita. It was by far the worst margarita I have ever tasted, completely undrinkable, mouth-puckering sour lime taste mixed with something that had a chemical aftertaste. So bad I had to toss it out. Nasty. The guy behind us got his meal a good 10 minutes before we did. Your best bet here would be a to-go order....

Whenever I come back to visit family and friends in Texas, Tacodeli is a nobrainer stop that I have to make. Some of the best no frills, hearty tacos you'll get. What's special about Tacodeli is that the ingredients listed in each of the tacos is typical taco ingredients, but magic happens when you combine it all together with the incredible salsas. I like the lunch tacos, but the breakfast tacos really sets Tacodeli apart in my opinion. The otto is my absolute must have. 2 tacos is usually enough for me, but I'll usually order a 3rd just in case I'm extra hungry or just want leftovers. Tacodeli heats up really well. Make sure to take advantage of the self-serve salsa bar. Be sure to try each one but my end all be all salsa is THE DONA. Get the dona. You won't regret it. I always get the guac and chips, and I regret it each time. It's not Tacodeli's strong suit, but it gets the job done. The line can get long, but it generally moves fast. If you're getting it to go, do yourself a favor and order online before.

I have passed up Tacodeli I'm not sure how many times and now I regret it. Everything we had was delicious. You need to go give it a try or get it to go (like we did)

I love Tacodeli breakfast tacos. It's really the best breakfast tacos and glad they opened a couple places in Dallas so I don't have to travel to Austin for them anymore. I also love their hot sauces especially the creamy green one. I love all the breakfast tacos with steak. Can't go wrong with any of those. I'm not a bean person but their bean and bacon taco is legit. I'm actually want some as I'm typing this review. Their lunch tacos are fine. I'd prefer street tacos from ghetto gas stations when it comes to lunch or dinner tacos. But definitely 2 thumbs up for the breakfast tacos.

This Austin institution is so pleased with itself that the smugness radiating from its Walnut Hill location could power an entire county. Let's get this out of the way first: they missed the chips from the chips and queso in my order; they charged $1.50 for a 'side' of pico de gallo whose picture below barely does its dimensions justice; and they also included a cup of tortilla soup that I neither ordered nor wanted. They further invite curbside customers to order salsas via a text message. This aids them in completely ignoring what you ask for, to remind you further that in the land of Tacodeli, the man behind the counter is king. Yet I'll return time and again. The tacos here are so wonderful and mean I'd forgive them almost anything. The sirloin with rajas has the right balance of meatiness and piquancy. Pork with salsa verde is again wonderfully balanced, with just enough acidity to counterbalance the lovely fat. Even the breakfast tacos are a real cut above the average, as befits the price. Allowing for the premium-by-taco-standards ingredients, the margins here must be pretty terrific. I'd ask if they can take a break from their near-infinite festival of self-regarding to actually check their orders, particularly given that this isn't exactly cheap eats, but well, then it wouldn't be Tacodeli anymore, would it?

Clean and well lit location with plenty of seating. Delicious tacos, but for the price, we would have preferred better customer service and not to have our order wrong. My partner was given the wrong tacos on his order (all 3 were wrong) and this is after it took a while to come, and we were ordering takeout so we could get back and i could rest, I'm heavily pregnant. When we first ordered, the person at register did not acknowledge us until I got his attention. No smiles or niceties either, not that it's required... we are just tired but he can't have onions, so now he has to go back inside and we have to wait longer for his actual tacos.

Have had so many horrible experiences here recently I feel it's my duty to write this review, as a public service because the staffing at this location is wildly incompetent. In the last four visits, they have not once gotten our order right. The last time they made our order incorrectly THREE times when we dined in so on the third time we just gave up and ate what we didn't order. This time, they only put half the order in the bag, even though I verbally ran through all the items with the girl who put the tacos in and she told me they were all there. I called to tell them (spoke with Charli) and they told me the only thing they could do was refund a portion of my order. No attempt to make it right now that I had to go find other food after getting home thinking I had our whole order. MANAGEMENT: Please consider hiring new staff who are able to correctly take and complete orders. We used to be weekly customers because we like the tacos but we're going to give up now and go somewhere else. It's just too many screw ups that feel really preventable by hiring more competent staff.

Yuck. Cat food tacos covered in raw onion. So. Many. Raw. Onions. I had to knock a handful of onions out of the tacos I got. Service was extremely slow as well- which was odd because it was completely empty. The chip with the 'chip and queso' came in a bag. Very odd. I did not like it. Taste wise, the chips and queso were fine. The ambiance was cute. It was a good place to sit because it was so empty when we went. Overall I would not recommend or go back.

Multiple visits. Pork belly taco meat is very dry & sparse. I ask for no cilantro, three times, they never got it right. All three times, tons of cilantro. Good if you love cilantro, sucks if you don't care for the taste. It's like, just scrape off the gravy, if you hate it...ummm no. Waste of money.

The Sylvan location is better IMO. I don't know if it's because I went around 1:30pm which is after the lunch rush, but the ingredients just didn't taste as fresh for some reason. The atmosphere feels pretty similar to the Sylvan location but I'd say it's a tad bit smaller. Ordered the Al Pastor and Pollo Abodabo. The flavors were okay, but as I mentioned previously the quality wasn't up to par with the other location. Nothing a little Doña salsa can't fix if you drench it all over top (haha). My Tacodeli cravings were satisfied but I've had better from them. Also, don't like how the prices aren't shown on the big menu... transparency is best with your customers.

Tacodeli is a chain with their tacos being everywhere. Today I stopped by to pick up a taco from their stand-alone location. I started with an Horchata drink without ice. I've had a lot of horchata before and I was a little dissapointed with this one as it was incredibly grainy and made me want to cough whenever I took a sip. I was impressed with how great the staff was and how clean the restaurant is. The employees definitely put some time into making sure the restaurant looks great. Great selection of drinks, so next time I'll try something else instead of horchata. The wait was a little long for two tacos and being the only customer but, I'd say it was worth it. Overall it was good food and a great atmosphere would try again, if there was a shorter wait.

I was excited to get a Tacodeli in our neighborhood. I have friends who have tried the Oak Cliff location that had sworn by this place. So when they open one up in my neighborhood I was sure to try them. I came here for breakfast which is one of my favorite times for tacos. This place did not disappoint. The eggs and cheese in my taco were perfectly Blended for a delectable taste. I regret that this place is not open for dinner because if they were I probably would be back tonight!

Finally took the opportunity to try Tacodeli. Wanted to find out what all the hoopla was about. Tacodeli is not for me. I am not a fan of mashed potatoes in my breakfast taco. It is a texture thing probably and the fact that they were bland did not help. Fresh salsas were lack-luster and even the hottest did not produce a bang. I would not eat their breakfast tacos again, but will go back to try a lunch item.

The pappas really take the breakfast tacos to the next level--the first place I take guests when they come to Texas!

Quick service, amazing food, and not expensive at all. For people worrying about health, it is a very healthy option.

In love with this place and their soup!!! I come here like twice a week just for it!!! Tacos are amazing!!! No joke I don't know why I'm just hearing of this place, but I've been a fan every since!!! They have a soup that's served during the week- super fresh veggies chopped in it, the broth is well seasoned and light with chicken, and shell stuffed inside. "Delicious". I wish they had a bigger size but no worries!!!! Cheers- I'll see y'all again next week'

A tacodeli opens down the street from my in-laws and I didn't know about it?! Only open since Monday, I saw this as Eric R.'s mom turned from Walnut Hill onto 75 so I could take her to her first barre3 class this morning. I worked up an appetite, did laundry, and suddenly is was 2 PM - I was starving! Down the street I went, to this tacodeli which is so much larger than most of the Austin locations and with ample parking. Friday is a really good daily special day, with ceviche Yucatan and guacasabi tuna. Usually if I get to a tacodeli on a Friday at 2:00 PM, I would not get the specials because they would be SOLD OUT! Not today, my friends - both were available - yeehaw! I got the ceviche on corn and the tuna on wheat. Then I spied the pistachio horchata and was graciously given a sample. It was interesting, but I opted for traditional horchata instead. Because there was a centimeter of the cup unfilled as I drained the horchata dispenser, I got it for free!!! That was really generous. I grabbed some salsas and dipped my spoon in them - one staff member praised me for my salsa tasting idea. Then "Lisa" was called out and it was the woman who ordered in front of me. I told the food runner that the next Lisa would be me, and she brought my food over forthwith. The ceviche was paired with guac and was heavenly and limey in the best way possible. The tuna was seared and spicy and delicious. In a poof? huff? jiffy? the tacos were gone, in my belly. The horchata tried to cool my burning tongue (that green creamy doña salsa is not refreshing but like a hidden devil surprise) but to no avail, so I sucked on horchata-flavored ice cubes. There is nothing like a taste of Austin so close to a place I visit often. What are you waiting for? Go get some tacos!

The Carne Asada is where it's at! It's a flavor bomb with juicy chopped ribeye, fresh avocado and the perfect amount of cilantro. The Shrimpasito and Frontera Fundito Sirloin are also good, but the Carne Asada is the superstar for me. I will get two of those next time. Vegans, vegetarians, gluten free... it's all good for you. I ate my tacos in a bowl for my low carb Keto diet. Thank you for bringing a taste of Austin to Dallas. Great service and quick to get food out to the constant crowd. Y'all are awesome!

Am I going to visit every Tacodeli in the vicinity of Dallas? Probably. Why? Because these are some of the BEST tacos I have ever had in my life. I'm going to start off by saying that I love flavor. Bland food doesn't bring me joy. Flavor is the essence of life, I'll never think otherwise. Every single taco I've had here has a unique taste to it which is why I never get tired of eating here. During today's visit I got the Pollo En Mole and Pollo En Pipián Rojo. Both chicken tacos but both different in taste and texture (wow!). The mole taco was sweet while the pipián rojo taco was a mild spice. If you ever think a taco is bland, add one of their 4 salsas to the mix. The number of combinations you can make is ridiculous and you will never get bored from eating the same thing. I also have to mention that Tacodeli has some of the absolute best flour tortillas. The queso here is very good as well, and something I order every time. There's also a special place in my heart for the doña salsa which I can never get enough of. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
