Food was EXCELLENT. The best Quesadillas I've ever had! They stuff it full even the tacos. The staff was super helpful. Bar service adjacent to the restaurant was AWESOME 👌 Bartender Ashley Marie was ON POINT with my margarita and her suggestions were perfect for me and my husband. Seriously amazing food & drinks right by the ROC airport. It is a MUST TRY if you've never been. We HIGHLY recommend going. This is now our go-to whenever we fly in & out of ROC.

I have been here before to try the tacos. The birria tacos are good, I had the shedded beef the first time and got chicken this time. Both had a good flavor and very filling. The chicken tacos did have so bone in it. Service: both times I have gone it’s been a one man band. Cashier to cook situation. I got there on a Tuesday 5mins from 4pm when the taco special starts. I was charged full prices when I could waited 5 mins for the special. There was also a lunch special I was not aware until I sat down. If I would had know these specials or offered I would had chosen one of them. Saving 3 to four buck can change the if someone will come back or not. Atmosphere: this is not a sit down restaurant. They serve there in the to-go containers. The beef tacos were a bit messy. The inside was like an inside food truck,. It’s best to get your food and go. Overall, it’s ok for what is. The food is good but not something I would go out my way to get.

Nachos with jackfruit: excellent. 😋The tortilla chips were crunchy for a long time, which was great bc there was so much yumminess piled on top. This photo doesn't do it justice. Great crew. For some reason the lights in the bar were dimmed when our food arrived, as if we weren't supposed to see it. 🤔

I always try to root for the small business owner and if it were a food truck, I would have been pleasantly surprised. However, I had time to sit down to eat and even ordered a beer (can). Only cups in the place a 4oz, basically urine sample size. Only plastic spoons, out of everything else. Inside, think super sparse like somewhere that serves the bar crowd on the weekends but worse. It is definitely geared towards takeout orders. The kicker is my tacos were excellent!!

Don't pass go don't collect $200. This is a hidden gem, flavor packed scrumptious appetite satisfying tacos. Get a side of rice & beans to soak up the comsomme.

Thought this place was closing at midnight but they said the kitchen closes at 10pm. Not time for a meal so we ordered chips and queso/salsa. 15min later!! The chips were over cooked and the queso was not impressive and the salsa even less so.

First time customer and let’s just say the word disappointed is to say the least. I ordered the birria tacos with extra red onion, they gave me a regular flour tortilla that was not dipped in the rue before frying, there was no toppings (cheese, cilantro barley, red onions barley and I asked for extra red onions. I came home and had to chop up my own red onions. Now I’m about add other ingredients to try and eat what my money bought. I also ordered shrimp tacos and was taken away from what I received just shrimp with a little red cabbage 🗣️where is all the listed toppings!!! And the tortillas are barley toasted ! I will never return.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the whole city. Every time we go, we get the Birria pizza for takeout. The consume broth is SO good like drinkable good, and the birria is honestly 10/10. I would definitely make it a point to try it. The food is seasoned to perfection, and it tastes FRESH. The pizza comes with 8 slices, which seems like it might not be enough for a family of 3/4 however it is so filling. The service is a little slow, but I can only speculate that it’s because they are always super busy. The food is outstanding and fresh. I have never once had a complaint. I hope they are around for years to come because we make the birria pizza a meal plan at LEAST once a month.

Best nachos I've ever had. Amazingly robust homemade tortillas chips that never sagged. Great jackfruit and house-made hot sauce. Excellent counter and bar staff. Atmosphere meh.

We visited on a Taco Tuesday and were glad to see a taco specials for the day. The restaurant is pretty basic inside and they had street food tv programs being played. Be careful of potholes in the parking lot. The tortilla chips were seasoned well but they were a bit on the stale side. The nacho cheese solidified really quickly and was disappointing. Service was standard with food being delivered to our table after we ordered at the counter. My husband did not receive the correct drink he had asked for but didn't want to bother the server to exchange it. We ordered 3 of the Birria Tacos and Carne Asada tacos. They had good flavor and were served up hot! We would give them another shot for tacos.

I was so happy to see the TacoDero food truck at the lucky flea! Two tacos for $10 dollars plus an additional $1 for the consume is pricey in my opinion. We ordered at the truck and paid by card. We were told it would be a few minutes. It did not take long for our order to be ready. The birria tacos were perfection. The consume is a must buy. I don't think you would get the full experience without it. The consume helped to enhance the natural savory flavors. I do wish we got an additional 3rd taco for the price, but overall I was impressed. I would like to visit the brick and mortar location next.

We hired TacoDero's food truck to cater a wedding party of about 100 people. Chef Cordero was incredibly helpful in scheduling and planning the menu, and he and his team provided impeccable service and delicious food on the day of the event. Everyone at the party loved the food and the experience of the food truck. Tacodero was a huge part of a perfect, memorable evening. Thanks so much to Chef Cordero and his team!

Food is amazing!First time at Taco Dero. I'm super impressed. I sampled the beef and chicken tacos. Absolutely delicious and the consumme sauce was such a perfect addition. I got a classic margarita and my husband got a hibiscus margarita. The bartender was friendly fast and efficient. The drinks were not watered down and had the right amount of ice. We had the street corn, fiesta potatoes and caramel apple taquitos. Everything was delicious. They take to go orders as well as a small tabletop seating area. The establishment was clean. It had a separate bar which was intimate and dark inside. There is room for live music, and at the entrance is a pool table which is $1.50 per person and a pay per game dart board. It's in a very convenient location directly across from the Frederick Douglas International Airport. It is a counter service restaurant. You pay when you order at the counter and they serve you at the tables. I will be returning and recommending.

This spot is close to our house so I've been wanting to try it. I placed an order for pick-up. There is off street parking. Looks like they have some outdoor seating for nicer weather. There is a bar area but it's separate and may have been closed. The interior isn't fancy but it appeared clean with a good amount of seating. My order was packed and ready to go on time. They were out of their pork birria. So I got an order of chicken tacos, beef tacos and their birria ramen plus sides of consume. The ramen is ok but probably not something we'd order again. However, the tacos were really really good. The protein portions are generous and the taco shells were nice and crunchy.

The workers were nice and the service was quick and good. The food was good as well, I definitely recommend the fiesta potatoes.

This place was recommended to me by a friend when i was telling him about another place that serves awesome birria tacos. So i decided to try them out then and there. Boy were they right!! some of the most authentic mexican food in rochester. The restaurant is located across the street from the airport (used to be theos). In the front of the restaurant is a "hole in the wall" mexican spot with a simple menu. The back was turned into a cocktail lounge with a long bar and even a table section. now more on the food - the birria tacos were just like la street tacos (their slogan) their birria sauce a little too liquidy than i like but a lot of meat and cheese and of course use two shells so A+ the fiesta potatoes were bomb and i dont usually like fiesta potatoes- so thats saying something the quesidillas also amazing and they dont skimp on ingredientts here either this might be one of my new favorite spots for some legit mexican food

Just had the Burrito and it was AMAZING. It did not look like a lot but it was filling and the shredded beef was so good.

Been meaning to stop in ever since a co-worker told me that they regularly stop to take home dinner, and that her family is loving the food that they first tried from the food truck. Well, we arrived the place was very quiet, one other table. But we did not let that worry us. Ordered at the counter, with the promise for the food to be delivered to our table. After we sat down, we noticed a small sign with an arrow, pointing to "The Lounge." We decided to go check out the lounge. The person at the front counter said they would bring our food to us in the lounge. So glad that we found the space. Great drinks. From margaritas to moscow mules. Tasty drinks, wonderful bartender. Shortly after we got our drinks, our food was delivered. AMAZING We wanted a very simple dinner, so ordered Birria beef tacos, and 'fiesta potatoes.' The first highlight was that the tacos were corn tortilla instead of far too common Rochester tradition of flour ones- equally important, the filling was WONDERFUL, so very tasty. The potatoes were also incredibly tasty- golden home fries topped with queso, bacon, sour cream, onions and cilantro. While the space was quiet while we were there, we learned that there are evenings when the lounge is packed, and they regularly have a DJ. They also have a wonderful VIP Booth, that if you are going out with a group, check into it. It comes with some amazing food and drink specials. Hope to see you there!

Great food at Taco Dero! I was able to try the chicken quesadillas, chicken tacos, chips, salsa, guacamole and the rum punch. Everything was good. The chicken quesadillas were my favorite! The flavors and the amount of chicken in proportion to cheese was perfect! The staff were kind and expressed that when me and my group came that they were busy and it would take some time for our food to be ready. I think that's helpful and gave us a heads up of what to expect waiting. I will tell my friends and family about Taco Dero!

Delish I can see why they expanded beyond the foodtruck to a great convenient location. I will return again and again for sure. Quesadillas and their salad; so tasty, different than what you've had before. Promise!

Yum! These tacos are delicious. On the expensive side. Taste buds happy wallet not so much. Idk if I would buy again, I think there's more bang for your buck elsewhere.

We stopped here for food after landing in Rochester. The food is good! We ordered the birria tacos, jackfruit tacos (great option for vegetarians!) plain cheese quesadilla's, and street corn. Everything tasted great - definitely 5 stars for the food and service! We ordered our food to go as we had a long drive ahead of us but the place looks clean. It was quiet but we did arrive after lunchtime. We will be stopping by on our return trip!

I was invited to lunch by a friend who raved about the Taco Pastor. When he tried ordering the Pastor, it wasn't available. We both ordered the Birria Tacos with shredded beef and a side order of birria sauce which on the menu is called consomme dipping broth. The tacos were delicious, and the sauce was perfect. I brought home an order of Birria Tacos with the broth and an order of rice for my wife. She also thought the tacos were great. Absolutely going back.

TacoDero features "L.A. Street Tacos" or Birria tacos served with a side of flavorful consommé. Their shredded beef taco was outstanding, and I think this is the top taco truck in our area. It's definitely worth trying.

I had been anticipating this joint opening up ever since our beloved Theo's closed and I heard it was being replaced by a birria taco spot. They sure didn't disappoint. The beef was on point, and the consomme was delicious. If I had to criticize it in any way, it's that the tortillas didn't seemed to be dipped. I also got the rice and beans and the street corn. The rice and beans were a bit on the dry side, but decent (pro tip, pour some consomme on there, there's enough for the tacos and rice). The corn was advertised as being dusted in hot Cheetos, but it was more or less a traditional street corn - tasty nonetheless. All in all, it's a place I will be frequenting.

The taco salad was bland. Even that avocado stuff on the side was not flavorful at all. The salad was mostly kale for lettuce. Not happy when i opened and had to dress it up the best i could with what was in it. very disappointing.

Really delicious food truck. I got the birria tacos! While I do wish the taco shell was dipped in the consommé, but overall the flavors were wonderful. Will definitely get it again.

For all the publicity this place gets I'm surprised I'm the first review. I guess it's hard to categorize a weekly pop-up on yelp... I moved to Rochester from Chicago 4 years ago, and had become an enthusiast of birria there, where it was available only in Mexican neighborhoods and was cooked with goat. So imagine how perplexed I was when a beef version in Southern California became a national trend that made its way even to a Mexican food backwater like Rochester. Anyhow, it makes little sense to compare TacoDero's birria to what I would get in Chicago; it's just a different food item that happens to have the same name. I can't compare a pile of goat soup served with tortillas to one or two beef or jackfruit tacos with melted cheese. That wouldn't be fair to TacoDero; it's not what they're trying to make. And I've never had a US-style birria taco in LA. So with that all in mind, I was pleasantly surprised by TacoDero's beef and jackfruit tacos. They're well-put-together and flavorful: the jackfruit and beef are both tender, the beef falls apart from being cooked so long, and the cilantro and limes are fresh. The tortillas are tender yet fried in such a way that they don't collapse when you dunk them in the dipping sauce (which admittedly was a too salty). Is it Jalisco-style birria like in Chicago? No. Is it a well-put together tasty piece of food? Absolutely.

5 stars! The Birria quesadillas are some of the best I've had in the city. Love the food truck!

Taco Tuesday in Rochester will never be the same! The whole menu is good!!! Suggest getting there early because they do run out of certain items on the menu the later you arrive.

After going to every taco spot in the city, each place has been a disappoint except for Tacodero! First timer here but after trying the nachos, the loaded potato fries, the tacos and the quesadilla.. I'm left licking my fingers and craving more! 11/10 would recommend!

BEST Taco's in Rochester!!! Was fortunate to have tasted this food at the Mayor's Ball and by far, these tacos are the bomb! Excellent food. Excellent flavor and excellent service!!!
