"This year Tacolicious is hosting its annual guest chef series at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, marking 10 years for both the market and Tacolicious; all proceeds support CUESA’s Food Wise Teens program as part of the mission of the Tacolicious School Project, and each chef will create a taco that reflects their cuisine." - Ellen Fort

Google
Great taco spot near Royal Lane and Luna (or just west of I-35). Tacos are the star here, but they also offer enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas and nachos. Tacos options include birria, barbacoa, carnitas, al pastor, and fajita beef and chicken. Barbados was so tender and flavorful. Very good chips and salsa that I suspect are both made on premise. Worth the trip for lunch or dinner. Forgot to snap pics of dishes...next time.

Google
Tacolicious came highly recommended, and they delivered the goods. The enchilada plate is great. Atmosphere: very casual. Staff: friendly and efficient. I recommend you try Tacolicious. By the way, I got so enthusiastic, eating my take-out order, that I ate some of the bottom of the basket, too! 😆

Beth R.

Google
We had our office Christmas party catered by Tacolicious and it was amazing! Best beef tacos ever. Everything was delivered professionally and organized well. We loved it and will definitely do it again.

Google
I looooooove getting the barbacoa taco!!! Fresh diced onions and cilantro. And grilled onions and serrano. pepper? Spicy. And their queso!! So good. I love it all!!!!! Edit 5 years later. Jan 11 2025 . I'm still getting the barbacoa tacos !!! Never dry. Always so yummy and flavorful. Torta is sooo big it looks like 2 burgers ! Super filling. And in house made chips. Fire 🔥 .

Google
Delicious food, quick service and friendly staff. Plenty if authentic Mexican cuisine options and selections of meats for your meal. Clean dining area, and bathrooms were too. Even when the lunch rush was in full swing, we received our food within 8 minutes of ordering. Went 2 days in a row because they are that amazing

Albertoffs

Google
Went here twice because of a job I had here in the area. Their tortas with fries are so good. I order pastor but on my second day I also order it but in advanced I went to go pick it up. I went back to where I needed to go and then I saw that they gave me barbacoa instead of al pastor but you know what. It was still bomb 5 starts man😂😂😂😂😂😂

Gabriel Q.

Google
This place is super good! I had to check it out and I got the Carnitas taco plate and it was amazing! The service the atmosphere were fantastic, if you haven’t tried this place you need to soon!

Richard C.

Google
We absolutely love this place! Fantastic prices and the food is so delicious! Very nice owners who went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place!! I take my pooch to Furry Tails a few doors down from this place so I decided to try them out. Walked into a pretty typical taco place nothing special. I ordered the beef fajita nachos. They were awful the meat definitely did not taste like beef fajitas and the lettuce on the side was wet so it made everything very soggy! I was so disappointed because all the reviews were good but for me this place needs a lot of improvement on their food!!
google avatar

Sara G.

Yelp
Small, unassuming spot for authentic Mexican food. The hip, open setting, complete with colorful picnic tables and captivating wall murals get you fiesta ready. The counter service adds a casual charm. My beans and cheese nachos were great. The nachos, boasting a thickness that ensures they remain gloriously unsoggy! Yay! The picnic table vibe only enhanced the overall enjoyment with a throwback to grade school, creating a laid-back and communal atmosphere.

Yelp
Love this place so much I don't want you all ;-) going there because I'll have to wait in line Great food It's street tacos without being on the street = good ambiance lol
google avatar

Gilbert L.

Yelp
I went there due to Yelp reviews, I LOVED the Barbacoa taco but my potato/egg/cheese taco was missing the cheese. However I ate there and they corrected it. Enjoyed them both with a Mexican coke. My friend had bacon missing from his tacos so with the missing items with us 2 being the only Cxs in the restaurant was inexcusable that's why it wasn't a 5 star. Do better please. Thank you

Angelo C.

Yelp
Had to come back to update my review, used to be the best place to grab lunch hands down. They sold and the new owners must have changed the recipe, the food just tastes sad and bland now. No longer will be visiting here for lunch, RIP to a once great place.

Yelp
Drove from our hotel to find the Tacolicious taqueria and enjoyed some good street tacos! Simple menu but delicious tacos as I had the Tres Tacos Platter with three street tacos (no Tex-Mex tacos here) with Pollo, Carnitas and Chicharron and rice & beans and grilled onions/diced onions and cilantro. I do prefer my Chicharron to be crunchy instead of soft, but it was still good. Definitely worth a detour from the usual spots in the DFW area.

Yelp
Delicious street tacos! Stopped in on the way home from the airport for a quick lunch. We had the fajita, pollo, and carnitas tacos. The pollo and carnitas were delicious. Onions and cilantro were served on the side with lime. An added touch was the grilled onion and jalapeño, also served on the side. Flavors were bright and the meat was mostly well cooked. However, the fajitas beef was chewy and hard to eat. For a bit more food, you can get 3 tacos with beans and rice on the side. Charo beans were good; rice was fine. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips to/from the airport.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Not what i expected based on the ratings. The tacos were marginal, at best. Salsa was okay. Rice and beans were okay, must have had the wrong thing. Served promptly since we were only guests and it was a quiet meal. I come to these type of places and make a judgement on the quality of food and not the ambiance. Because pf this, I can only rate them "average."
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere, the workers are so welcoming and nice, I had the tres taco platter. Very good . I definitely recommend this restaurant. Always good service and food
google avatar

Juan P.

Yelp
Tacos are made fresh to order. You do not want to miss an opportunity to eat here. Pastor tacos are my go to but you can't miss with whichever option you prefer. I came different days as well to check. If you're in the area check this place out.

Yelp
Stopped in on a work trip to Dallas - outstanding breakfast burritos! Don't let the fact it is in a strip center stop you!

Danny T.

Yelp
Service was good and workers were nice and welcoming. Food is decent for the convenience to the office. Tables tops where a bit sticky. Overall, if its group lunch and the group votes to go to this place I wouldn't be too upset.
google avatar

Brandi A.

Yelp
A good solid taco for breakfast. They don't price gouge, priced well for a good product! A little off the beaten path, but must be enough business coming in to keep them in their location through Covid. Lastly they produced the food quickly and efficiently! Looking forward to more trips soon

Luke M.

Yelp
Tacos are great, but the hours are confusing. Google lists it as opening at 6 am, but it's currently 7:17 am and still closed.. this is about the 2nd or 3rd time to drive away disappointed.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Great food and quick service. Was on a business trip and could tell this was a popular place due to the foot traffic of to go orders and dine-in eaters. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Marisa H.

Yelp
If you're craving street tacos, this is not the place. The tacos are not your traditional street tacos. The meat was shredded, which was not usual for fajita and pastor? The food also came out in under 5 minutes, which you could taste it was not fresh. The rice was dry and the beans were salty. The lady at the counter who took our order was friendly, but that was our only interaction. There are other great street taco spots in the area that I would rather go to.
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
I found this AMAZING gem randomly driving trying to find lunch. This place is amazing! I came with a group of coworkers we ordered the tres taco platter, chicken quesadilla, enchiladas, veggie tacos, chips, and guacamole. The tacos were a decent size for a street taco. The owner was also really great and helped with a few of my co-workers. I definitely have been a repeat TACOLICIOUS offender lol since then.
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
This was our neighborhood spot, I love the people, so friendly. The food is taco-delicious, and they are always adding to there menu so if you miss a month, it is a new item waiting. We moved out of the area so we don't visit as often. Pro tip - if you are grabbing some before embrace the napkin bib of you will be wearing a souvenir.
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Great breakfast tacos! They're consistent every time I eat there. The salsas a really really good!!!! Quick service too.
google avatar

Sara T.

Yelp
Foods here is fresh and tasty. Tres taco is really good. It get crowded during weekday lunch hours. It's casual place to eat with picnic tables. They must keep it open for weekends also, I really wants to try their breakfast tacos but never get chance on weekends.
google avatar

Harley N.

Yelp
Food was decent. Dog in dining area if a concern for you. Paid for meal, but didn't get everything we ordered? Missing a $4 breakfast burrito. Check your bag before you go. Hate paying for food we don't get and more going back for a refund or to have item replaced. Ended up splitting our other food so everyone had some breakfast. Tried it based on Yelp, not a local.

Jill T.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service. Place accommodates more people than you'd think from the outside, should you opt to dine in. The breakfast tacos were deliciosa. We had one with chorizo, one with papas, and two with sausage. The hot sauce was just the right amount of spice, and the pickled jalapeño, as well as the pico de gallo were special - yum! Skip the coffee unless you eat breakfast early.

Yelp
NW Dallas is full of Taquerias; are they all the same? No sir! In-the-know hungry people drive past the others to eat at Tacolicious! Seriously; the line grows to almost 30' ling during the lunch peak, but don't leave - the line moves quick and ghe food is great!! We ordered at the counter, fixed our drinks, and sat down to enjoy our chips & queso. In less than 5 minutes, our good was ready! No wonder this place fills up at lunch! Three piping hot tacos, with doubled corn tortillas, in any meat choice you select - with beans and a pepper - plus rice and grilled onions - fresh cilantro & onions for tacos - are less than $8! Yes! The crowd is about 50% work boots and dirty jeNs, and 50% dress clothes and jewelry. Almost all employees spoke English, which is a huge plus for us mono-language-gringos! Great food at a great price! We will ALL be back!

Yelp
After arriving to DFW from an early morning flight, I was ravenous and in desperate need of some breakfast tacos. I quickly yelped nearby places and Tacolicious caught my eye. It was a short drive from the airport and we were so happy to step inside to see the brightly colored tables and quirky vibe that was within! I loved the signs that they had saying "a taco a day keeps the doctor a day" and "no wi-fi, pretend it's Y2K, talk and enjoy eachother." Definitely brought a smile to my face! I ordered a chorizo taco and a sausage taco and it was exactly what I had been craving for breakfast. The filling was well seasoned and the texture was perfecto! The tacos came with some sauces but I tried a little bit of these with my fork and it was super spicy so I went sauceless. The included pico de gallo was awesome though! My friend ordered some burritos which were basically the same thing as the tacos but just a larger (yet more portable) package. Even though I was totally satisfied after eating my two little tacos, I couldn't help but think how perfect those burritos would be for a grab and go snack. In all, I would totally recommend Tacolicious for some breakfast tacos next time you need a fix!

Yelp
This was a great place to have lunch. My friend and I met here around 1pm on a Wednesday and there were only a couple of people in line. Everyone else was finishing there lunch so there was seating available by the time we ordered. We both ordered the three taco lunch which came with beans (charro or re-fried) and rice. I picked the al pastor, pollo and beef brisket. They give you plenty of cilantro and onions. I'd skip the brisket taco next time. They were a little tough and chewy. The pastor and chicken, though were both cooked perfectly and tasty. Great little tacos and you can't beat the price for around $8. My friend ordered the chips and queso as well and they were perfect. Nice creamy cheese and crisp oily warm chips. My favorite. I was sad to see this place does not have dinner hours as I would stop in again since I hardly venture out for lunch. Will have to plan another outing so I can eat here again.

Yelp
*Review for Super Nachos* Pros: -Best price for nachos I was able to find -They are soooooo filling! Between the beans and avocado they make it really hearty! -Yummy and savory! I love that they put beans on them! Cons: When I went in August, the weather was "feels like 108°" outside. Inside Tacolicious, they didn't have the AC running, only fans, and that concerned me for the food safety. So that was kind of sketch. I would probably only return in winter when I know the food will be kept at better preservation temperatures.

Yelp
The breakfast tacos are really good. Actually, most of their tacos are really good. If you are feeling really brave, try the beef tongue tacos. The salsa is on point. Try all of them, I haven't tasted a bad one yet. The rice and beans are super good and flavorful. The food comes out fast and hot. An establishment with good service is more rare then ever, so don't take it for granted. Come check this place out!

Yelp
Best tacos I've ever had!!!! Staff is extremely kind and they keep the restaurant spotless!
google avatar

Matara J.

Yelp
The taste only... delicious. I had 4 street tacos. I had the barbacoa, chicken, pastor, carnitas, rice and baracho beans. I would definitely recommend and go back myself.

Ethan S.

Yelp
Great tasting food with big portions for the price! Nice service and very fast. Clean and plenty of room inside.
google avatar

Lucia C.

Yelp
Definitely authentic but not the best authentic I've had. Most go with the three taco plate: three tacos, three meats, rice, beans, and jalapeño. I got 2 plates and a coke for under $20. Al pastor was the most disappointing but the lengua (beef tongue) and Barbacoa was good. Would recommend if you want some tacos in the area but wouldn't go out of your way for.
google avatar

Logan M.

Yelp
Have gotten a lot of take out orders from here. I get the fajita beef tacos and they are great. Love the rice and beans and the cooked onions and jalapeño on the side.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Just got home with my food and it has a long hair in it. Nasty as hell. I won't be eating here again.

Yelp
Found this place by accident looking for a breakfast burrito while in the Dallas area. Friendly staff and great breakfast tacos. The hot sauce was outstanding!

Yelp
After looking at nearby taco spots and coming across tacolicious with 4.5 stars, I knew it had to be good! I arrived, service was quick and I was in and out with my to go order in under ten minutes which I appreciated. Price was good as well. BUT I ordered the tres tacos plate with all steak and I was * incredibly * disappointed. Not only did it lack flavor but it was chewy. I mean I had to sit there and chew these bites for several minutes. Came with a side of lime onion and cilantro to add to the tacos but it was mostly onion with a tiny bit of cilantro which was also disappointing. Rice was cooked well but good isn't enough to carry the whole platter. I probably will not go out of my way to return
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for lunch because I was in the neighborhood and I'm glad I stopped in! It was delicious! Friendly staff and they are fast! We didn't wait long for our food. I tried the beef fajita torta. The bread was soft and moist, super flavorful. My friends liked their food too and they are large portions. Can't wait to go back. Love the door sign for hours says Sunday: for church!

Yelp
I can't even. This is one of those places that does not try to overdo their tacos. Their meats speak for themselves and you can add whatever you want in addition. I'm glad I checked this place out and really reminds me of what true tacos SHOULD be. _ Tacos $1.95 I got 4 tacos, because why not when they are just under two dollars each? Barbacoa, lengua, carnitas, and al pastor. Each one had it's own distinct flavor and was, to put it as simply as possible, amazing. Very flavorful, very tender. You would expect something like beef tongue to be chewy and tough, but that was not the case at all. Overall, just solid simple tacos. Perfect for lunch. Could I have done with one fewer taco? Sure. But did I listen to my senses and only get 3? No way. And I'm glad. It was solid. They serve their tacos with chopped onion and cilantro, as well as whole onion slices with jalapeño. Perfect for any person who wants a variety. They also have different sauces that you can choose from to put on your tacos to add that extra bit of spice if desired. Overall, just super solid. Tacolicious indeed!

Yelp
Amazing food! And great staff. Was craving tacos & came across this gem. Amazingly priced for generous portions! & their queso so too good to pass up.
google avatar

Derrick C.

Yelp
I'm a fan. Quick, easy, great food and flavor. I was hungry running errands in the area and this place popped to the top of the list of lunch spots. Glad I stopped by 30 mins ago. This place is definitely popular as a lunch spot for locals and those working in the area. There were quite a bit of patrons in the place and foot traffic continued consistently. You could tell there is a loyal following. I ordered the 3 tacos plate. You can select any 3 meats. The meal was very generous for the price and very filling. If I'm ever in the are again, I'll definitely stop by again.
google avatar

Manuel C.

Yelp
This is more of a work lunch type of place. The quality of their food is about average. Nothing I've tried here stands out. I've ordered their fajita burrito bowl twice now, and both times, it wasn't fajita. Not sure if they know that boiled beef, isn't considered fajita. Not even if you cut it up and add some onions & bell peppers.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Had to try it twice to be sure, but I am a fan! I think the item that bumped this up from a "3" to a "4" was the beef fajita burrito. It seemed to only have the essentials - rice, beans, cheese, and meat - which would have been really good on its own. But then it also came "platter" style and included a side of rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The sides and their delicious, spicy green salsa made it a pretty perfect burrito. Be prepared to feel stuffed. Overall, they seem to be very generous with their meats on the burritos and tacos and apart from the beef fajita, I like their barbacoa and carnitas. I'm not as big a fan of the al pastor or pollo but I'm willing to give those, along with the lengua and chicarron, a(nother) try. Menu is fairly basic but so far, it doesn't seem like you can wrong ordering here.

Yelp
A decent taco joint that has a hit and miss selection of really good or forgetable food. Walking in to this place, you see Wide open space with a bunch of picnic tables. Half the wall was a mural and the other half had some semi modern home decoration. Not a bad thing but nothing that stands out as a bit odd. The chicken was hit or miss with moisture. Some bites were juicy , the others were dry. It also had that generic pepper seasoning chicken they have at Mexican restaurants. Not my favorite. The lengua was my favorite one. The chefs there know exactly how to cook it as a perfect texture. The only way they can make it better, is if they charred the edges. If you had blindfolded me, I couldn't even tell it was tongue. Great beef flavor as well. The pastor tasted like they took some pork shoulder and marinated it. Not what I was expecting, but not bad either. I will say it could have had a more pronounced flavor. The taste of Pastor was there, but quite tame. If you eat it too quickly, you may forget how it even tasted. The rice is filler and completely forgettable. Don't waste your time eating them. The tortillas are Ok, but nothing special. I wished they were fried a little more but oh well. The charro beans were fantastic! Never have I had beans taste so good at a restaurant. They clearly spend time and effort into making the base flavor a wonderful meal. I love how there are hunks of meat with it.

Yelp
Tacolicious is a taqueria in near Korea town in west Dallas in a non-descript shopping strip. If you don't know where it is you may miss it, which is a shame because Tacolicious has some quality tacos for very reasonable cost. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - As stated, drive too fast and you may miss it. Once you find, you'll find plenty of parking and a restaurant that opens into a pretty big dining area. There's a nice mural on the wall and a counter in the back where you order. Ceiling is high, almost cavernous, and the dining area feels a bit cafeteria like. But hey, it's all about low frills because we're for good, cheap tacos. 1/2 Star. Service - It's counter service, so you place your order, get a number, and wait. Be sure you check your order though, as I have gotten someone else's order before. They are very nice and fast. They've also help correct things, and you have that feeling they're good people who just want to sell good food. 1 Star. Food - So about those tacos....these are true Mexican tacos. We're talking fresh onions, cilantro, lime, & jalapenos on small tortillas. Those looking for fast food and/or gourmet tacos look elsewhere. The best value is the 3 taco lunch combo. You'll get beans, rice, & a drink. Choose your protein, and if you do make one the barbacoa. It extra moist shredded beef - almost barbecue like the carnitas is similar (but pork). Both meats are super tender, juicy, and are enhanced by the fresh cilantro. Don't like cilantro? The combo comes with grilled onions! Finally, you can't go wrong with the breakfast tacos. I prefer the sausage, which is folded in soft, fluffy egg and topped with cheese. Best of all? It's CHEAP. Not the best tacos, but certainly one of the best values. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes! I still need to try the burritos, but the tacos are so good I don't even consider them. Honestly, the breakfast tacos are almost as good as the lunch tacos. If you're on Royal/35 and are looking for some cheap eats, check them out. They have tacos. They are delicious. 1 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Food - I'll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the food. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

Yelp
Where have you been Tacolicious! We found you in the middle of rainy morning one weekend and we just fell in love. It's really far from where we live now, but if we had the chance to visit Irving or Harryhines area, we'd definitely be back to your taco place and order us some delicious breakfast taco!! Be seeing you soon, Dallas Foodie

Yelp
Had the tres taco platter. Fair price at $7.00 inc rice and beans. Super quick service! Barbacoa was outstanding. I had the ranchero beans (normally a bean soup) and these wee cooked down to a perfect thickness. Wonderful! A bowl of these and corn bread or corn tortillas would make a great meal on a cold day. Add $2 for chips and salsa. Both very good. There are extra red and green salsas available. The red is outstanding- probably has chipotle in it. Very friendly service too. Sonja took good care of me. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
It's close to the Omni. Tacos are $2 and they accept ApplePay. What's not to like!!! BTW - they're generous with their eggs in the breakfast tacos.

Nash T.

Yelp
Over priced and you get shorted on everything. I ordered 4 tacos and it has almost no meat...plus there was nothing but fat junk crap instead of meat. I spend 15 dollars and left hungry. Food was not even good at all. I have no idea why anyone would recommend this place.
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
I love this place! It's very close to my office and I come here very often! I used to get the fajita chicken tacos, but as soon as I had the barbacoa tacos I knew I was in love. The breakfast tacos and breakfast burrito are incredibly good! Service is nice and quick. I would most definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Must try: lengua and carnita tacos Meh: torta and pollo Missed out: quesadilla $2 amazing tacos? You already won my heart, but it's now the belly you must convince. Having lived in the northeast for all my life, it's tough to find really good authentic taco places, but Tacolicious fulfilled those empty stomach longings and even more. First of all, let me tell you how fast the service is: I ordered 4 tacos and by the time I filled up my glass of water, the staff brought up the food, piping hot and ready for scarfing! Each order comes with chopped onions, cilantro, grilled jalepeno and grilled peppers, so there's plenty of stuff to spread on your tacos. Of all of the meat options, my favorites are the lengua and carnita, with the al pastor at a close second. Unfortunately, I tried to push my luck with the torta...and while it was very sizable, there weren't enough meat to balance out the carb monster and felt a little too mayo--y. The pollo was a bit dry, but you can definitely tell that it came from a freshly roasted chicken. The lengua, though...sooooo chewy and fatty, you just can't go wrong. Long story short, come here for amazing tacos and don't over order like I did! Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Price: 5 stars Ambiance: 3 stars
