Got a generous lunch break so took a walk to venture out to Tacompadre. Located in McFadden Public House, I believe, it's one of the two vendors in here. In fact, shares the same general area, I'm assuming it's the same owner/crew too? Not quite sure. I was the first one there, and was alone for the first half of the lunch hour. Score for me because I wanted so chill time.
I ordered the 3 taco platter -- pollo, asada, and al pastor. Came with rice and beans. At the end of the service area, they had their salsas and other condiments. From what I saw, there were 3 salsas (two looked alike) and then there was a smaller container with the black salsa.
I love salsa so I got all of em. I especially liked their rojo salsa. Their green was good too. Their black salsa was interesting to me. Don't think I've ever had this before. It was like Smokey, sweet and spicy?! I couldn't stop myself from eating it with every bite.
The tacos were just ok. The meat lacked some salt, which was fine cuz means more salsa for me. However, in general, tacos were just ok. Will satisfy if you're craving it but it is not the first taco place that would come to mind if I had to pick a spot.
Regardless, the service was great, food was decent and it satisfied my hunger. Thank you so much!
