We had takeout. The chicken bowl and carne burrito. Both very good. Good portion of food. Very fresh tasting. I didn’t eat the burrito shell so can’t comment on that. We thought this was better than chipotle. The meat was not smothered in any juice so it is less salty tasting. Which is good by us. Definitely worth a try. Packaged well. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Fresh ingredients, 2 jumbo shrimps per taco, I rather this then those tiny frozen shrimps with no texture. Burris did not come with a dipping sauce, but they were juicy enough. I like how they grilled the tortillas as well so they are hot and a bit crispy at the same time. Wish they would have fish tacos too. Also they let you bring beer from the deli store to pair with tacos, that’s a big plus for me too.

The birria taco melts in your mouth. The combination of the pico de gallo, spicy green sauce and the acidity from the tangy green lime is like an orgasm in your mouth. The shrimp tacos comes with 2 jumbo shrimps packed with pico and crema. It was excellent. I do wish to see a fish taco option on the menu. Why are you still reading? Go order! Don’t forget to grab yourself a jarrito soda!

Very delicious Mexican spot in Park Slope ! I had the best shrimp and birria tacos. I and my wife shared the homemade guacamole which was very fresh and tasty . Portions were very big and tacos were definitely amazing . The owner was very friendly and helped us with our orders ! I will definitely come back !!

The food here is delicious. The owner is incredibly friendly, makes everything fresh to order, and accommodates without issues. He has good suggestions and you can tell that he has a passion for the business. It's important that we support this place in my opinion, it's a dying breed to have such a good small business in the neighborhood and even the city. I live down the block and order this more than I should, but the food is delicious. If I had my way, chipotle would leave and Taco Omar would expand and expand. I have not been asked to write this and I am not paid. Genuinely want to share how much I like this place and appreciate the care that goes into running a top notch business.

This place was so good! The ingredients were fresh and the green salsa was perfectly spicy. The shrimp taco especially is excellent! The service was also excellent. I got the wrong order at first, but they fixed it so quickly and easily. Great for a quick bite or a full meal. Looking forward to going back!

Stopped by this place on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it. The establishment is small but efficient. Even though I stopped by a couple of hours before closing time, the whole restaurant was spotless. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was prepared fresh while I waited. The food was tasty and very filling. The prices are very average for the area, and totally worth it for the amount of food being served and taste. I will definitely be visiting TacoOmar again in the future.

Delicious Mexican food, especially the tacos. I went there for lunch, and was overwhelmed with how good the tacos were. I got chicken, shrimp, and veggie. Such satisfying flavor! Unusually for a Mexican restaurant, they use white rice, which they explained was to not complete with the other ingredients. Well, it works! It's brightly and warmly lit inside, and feels very clean. There's a little counter for eating on premises, but like most restaurants in New York these days, it seems focused on take out. No customer bathroom, which is too bad.

Really delicious Mexican food for those on the-go, or for a quick sit down! Ambiance was quaint, quiet and clean with a nice Mexican-flair to it. Great service, as they were friendly and prepped our food quickly but also with care. Their shrimp burrito was choke full of large succulent shrimp, and the guacamole was very fresh! Will be back!

Everything was made fresh to order. The chips that come with the guacamole are a little bit hard to bite. The birria taco had tons of meat, I could have made another taco with the meat. Shrimp taco had 2 big shrimp, I cut them up so there would be some in each bite. The store is in a small neighborhood, not a destination unless you're coming out of Prospect Park from that exit but there are lots of other food establishments in this area competing for your dollars.

Tried the tacos at an event and wanted to visit the restaurant - glad I did! The place is cute, staff super nice and the food is great. The birria taco isn't what I'm used to elsewhere - they don't dip the tortilla in the sauce and crips it up but the shredded beef is flavorful. The veggie taco was the sleeper hit. The chicken taco is why I have to knock off one star - it was pretty lackluster and didn't really have flavor. Overall, a great neighborhood spot for a quick, tasty snack...will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu!

Cute shop in my old 'hood that offers tasty Mexican fare. It's small with a counter and a menu with more than just Mar or seafood as the name is TacooMar. Ate: Veggie bowl Beef bowl Total: $32 I was shocked there were no veggies in the bowl and veggie just meant no meat. My bf liked his beef bowl and I must say the beans were incredible. The flavors were not as complex as Electric burrito but mostly the lack of veggies or the option to add them through me off.

Really tasty tacos! They had a limited taco menu with 4 types - my friend & I tried the birria tacos (shredded beef) and they were delicious! Super simple, yet flavorful. My other friend ordered the pollo burrito & said it was great, as well. It was quick & easy to order over the phone for pickup. (They do have a very limited seating inside) I was able to pick the food up ~10 minutes later & travelled about 45 minutes home before eating. If they were that good after waiting almost an hour, I bet they're even better if you can eat them "fresh". Great little shop!

I've only had the tacos here but gaddam -- that'sa taco! For being the hole-in-the-wall kinda joint that it is (and I say that in the most positive way, everything is clean and nice -- including the staff) I wasn't sure what to expect but dang, what a difference well cooked meat and tortillas make. I also loved the green salsa, just the right amount of bite and flavor. Will definitely need to come back and explore the rest of the menu but just wanted to leave this review since there were barely any and this place deserves a fighting chance!

I ordered the pollo bowl. Great pico de gallo and guacamole. I was disappointed to see the rice being white, not red. I'm from SoCal so I'm used to that. The chicken was okay. I haven't tried the tacos itself yet so that has yet to be seen nor tasted. The best bowl I've had was Tacos El Brother on 5th Avenue. Great tacos as well. Get the spicy enchilada tacos! I think this place can do better.

This place is a favorite of my family members so we tried it. Good quesadillas and tacos. Very filling. Comes with créma and avocado. Substantial servings.

I've tried tacoomar a number of times and it's always been solid. I haven't ordered in a while so I put an order in. I don't know what they did.... But their food's quality and flavor has blown me away this time. Slightly crispy tortillas and generous amounts of flavorful meat and toppings. For the area, the prices are are great for what you get. I'll be back tomorrow tacoomar and everyone else should should too.

I ordered some guacamole and pico de gallo from this place and both were perfect. The late Sunday night freshness was a surprise and I even received a very generous portion. I would go back again any time. Keep up the good food

This is one of the best burritos I've had in NY (and I have spent a lot of time on the west coast where getting great Mexican food is not a challenge.) Very fresh quality ingredients. Also the service is super fast and very pleasant. Its a great take out option in WT.

OMG! Awesome tacos! Great food. Fast service. Wow. This is my new goto for tacos. Also, the quesadilla was great.
