I love Tacos a Go-Go. The food is high-quality and good. They also give a discount if you ride your bike there the staff is always very kind and willing to serve. And out of several taco places around they have kept their prices reasonable even though they’ve had to increase on some things. I highly recommend this place for casual, in restaurant dining or for a decent patio when it’s not too hot and for takeout and catering. Their bean & cheese taco is the best deal on the market. The breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, and breakfast bowls are also amazing. And I highly recommend the mushroom and cheese quesadilla! Never had anything I didn’t like. My family and I are vegetarians so the fact that they offer a chicken alternative and that their entire menu can be modified and is vegetarian friendly is a huge benefit.

Everyone here is so sweet, considerate, and kind, yet I have on several occasions dealt with the rather terse and unfriendly woman working the counter. She incorrectly stated the availability of certain menu items more than once (I had to point out that they were still on the menu, I order the same thing every time) and has been consistently less than cheerful every time I’ve ordered. I might even go so far as to say she was more friendly to other customers, which is rather disconcerting. You might give some consideration to rotating your team members and placing someone with more people skills at the breakfast counter. Please!

Brought the whole family since I've tried fish taco before it was good. But today we all ordered fajita tacos which had no flavor. They weren't fresh,big disappointment especially my family complaining because I chose it Manager made things right,after she came to table and offered to replace meal. Very friendly staff

Came here on my off day with my homegirl it was very much slow and enough parking however it was SUPER hot outside. This heatwave has been killing me. We did sit outside near the fan which was bearable and our food was really good. I got a single lamb tack and Birria tacos. My friend got a al pastor and a chicken taco. Overall the food was good. My friend said her horchata was made really well and tasted authentic and I had the Jamaica drink. This was our first time and we both left pleased I’ll definitely be back!

Need combo meals with beans and rice. Should not have to pay extra for rice.

If you live in this neighborhood then this needs to be your staple stop for Taco Tuesday! The migas taco plate just hits the spot. They have a very spacious layout and plenty of parking. The take out option is punctual and convenient. I've bee n bringing tacos to my office and it's been a SUPER HIT!

Went to have lunch there with family based on positive reviews I received. Greatly disappointed 😞. Fajitas tasted as they were reheated, not fresh Tortillas a little crunchy. Will not be returning.

This Restaurant was one of my favorite until people told me the changes they did to the queso blanco and Chipotle sauce. Now they altered the taste it went front amazing to poor . I had more than 50 colleagues of mine tell me that they have decided to go to another taco spot due to the horrible changes. I hope they go back to the good flavors

Best tacos and burrito bowls I have ever had in the heights area. Enjoyed the service and the food selection. Not often can you add grill fish to your burrito/tacos. Prices are a bit higher than similar places but overall very pleased.

My partner and I went here after looking for a taco place very good customer service! Great guacamole and chips , but once the food came out we started eating our tacos ( chorizo and egg ) they were decent. Now it's the next day we both woke up with food poisoning. Maybe it was just a bad day with the cooks. We both had the same tacos and haven't ate anything all day and yesterday that was the only thing we had ate , but I can say the place is in a good location and great environment and also allow dogs on the outside seating patio , but with all being said I will not be back here.

Quick and easy crew always helpful ample parking. Good for take away or dine-in a good choice in Oak Forest menu changes regularly . They are always ready to provide a vegan option

I came here for my first time ever and the cashier Luis was literally the nicest guy ever and had amazing customer service. The food was super fresh, the tortillas were awesome and the queso blanco was really good too! Definitely coming back!

So I went here for a work thing. My manager chose the place- apparently she had it before and thought it was really good. I had the breakfast tacos with potato, beans, and Jack cheese. It had a weird hint of fishy flavor that I did not enjoy. I also had the chips and queso and chips and salsa. Salsa was eh, not spicy at all. Queso was okay. I had the horchata to drink and it was the best part of my meal. But the staff was extremely nice so maybe it was just an off day?

This was one of the to go spots for tacos nearby. Almost perpetually empty when when go on weekday dinner time. Service is extremely slow; we've had to wait from 10-30 minutes for simple orders. They had our order ready and finished sitting there for 10 minutes while 5 people in the kitchen and front counter just chit chatted and neglected to even check. They had no other customers in the store. Funny enough, once we got home, they also got our order incorrect. They've also bumped up their prices across the board; would also suggest more authentic and cost friendly options in the area as an alternative going forward.

Great place, great tacos and great service. I live near Tacos a Go Go and never had the chance to visit it. The first thing that drew our attention was the decor, it felt very authentic, perfect for a taqueria. Then, the service, my wife was given a small sample of their horchata while we waited and finally the food, all fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the picadillo taco and the lamb bbq taco. My wife had a burrito bowl, she loved it too. We'll be back.

Nice medium sized restaurant. Service was eh. Very Americanized tacos. Decently sized and filled. Can get full off of 2 tacos. Pricey tacos because I bought one juice and 5 tacos and it was $30. Lamb barbacoa taco is moist but pretty game-y. Pollo guisadao is kinda dry and not a whole lot of flavor. Pastor was the most flavorful but still decent. Tater taco was different, tots were crispy but because of the pico, it became soggy. Breakfast taco with potato, cheese and bacon was a basic taco but probably tasted the most authentic.

Service was cool. Food was cool. I had a chicken taco and a chicken quesadilla. -taco had lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes, grilled onions and green peppers - quesadilla it only had meat and cheese l, more cheese than meat

ive NEVER been charged for chips ever in my life. its pricy, they even charge for SALSA. food was aight, but any orher than that they got a very good service

There is a variety of delicious tacos, from your typical beef and chicken to more vegetarian friendly options. All are a hit The frozen Margaritas are strong and the atmosphere is a nice chill and cool vibe. I keep coming back almost weekly.

A solid 4 stars but definitely not a 5 star. Tacos A Go Go always has decent tacos with a decent range of selection options. Friendly staff and good vibes inside here with patio seating as well! I had a grilled chicken taco and brisket taco, and both we just Ok. Chips and guac were delicious though. I'd come back for a quick taco for sure.

Very disappointed with my tacos! First time ever getting breakfast tacos & I spent $40 on 6 tacos & a chips n queso. They got the easiest tacos on the order wrong & didn't put bacon on 4 tacos that were supposed to have it. Look at the picture of this taco & tell me you think it's worth $5 lol Will not ever be supporting this business again, I'd much rather give my money to the taco trucks who make real tacos and aren't stingey.

Have frequented most of the other locations and been here four times since it is the closest to my house. While I'm a big fan, in my opinion this location has the worst service and food. Ambiance not as good either. Service is less friendly and tacos not as tasty as other locations.

Vast vegan/vegetarian menu so that's a win. I really enjoyed the tater taco vegan. Service was good. I love the variety of sodas at the fountain machine. Mango was my favorite. The green/spicy sauce was yummy.

Lots of taco options! Breakfast menu served all day. I love that option at lunch. My desire to try different things got the best of me and I ordered three tacos. I should have stopped at two but they were so good. I will be back!

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. Was headed to another Tex-Mex restaurant nearby. What a magnificent discovery. The staff was pleasant, and helpful. Guided me through the choices for my first experience. Definitely try the chips and guacamole. Some of the best guac I have yet had. The fish tacos were good but the tacos Al Pastor were to return for again and again.

Great portions, tasty carbs, but fajita beef isn't very good. 3 - Breakfast Taco 3 - Quesadilla Beef 3 - Queso 4 - Tater tots

I have eaten so many to go Tacos from this place and they are consistently wonderful. When they say GO Go that must mean they GO GO out the door because each time I am there it's so many people picking up. It's all good, but do get at least one extra in case you can squeeze another one of these lovely bundles down your throat. Did I mention it's all good??

I tried the nachos a go go and added pollo guisado on top. The queso on the nachos was runny and there wasn't much of it, which was really disappointing. Overall, the flavor was really lacking. I wouldn't order these again. My boyfriend ordered the smoked brisket quesadilla and he said it was good. I would give this place another try, but I'd probably stick with their tacos for a better idea of how they compare to other taco places in the area.

There are some fantastic taco shops in town, which makes for some high standards. When you charge a high taco price, it better be atleast as good as Soliz in Sugarland . There are some interesting menu items, lamb barbacoa, extra charge for a "Diablo" sauce. The presentation was great, garnished to the max. The issues is the meat is chewy and not seasoned well, the hot sauce isnt "hot". There isnt anything to make you desire it, and I am comparing it to Soliz, especially at the price point. For me, bland taste, tough texture.

Having been here in 2019, I forgot where this was located as I forgot to check in. Riding my bike along TC Jester, I always pass this spot so I knew I had to stop by for Taco Tuesday. The nostalgia hit when I walked inside as I knew I had been here before and was ecstatic to be back! The pollo guisada taco is what they're known for and rightfully so as the shredded chicken is tender and juicy. Also loved the grilled shrimp taco and the chorizo breakfast taco. Those were the ones that stood out the most to me. I've also had their frozen margaritas which pair well with tacos (duh!). Apparently this is one of several locations as they are opening in various parts of Houston and possibly through Texas. If that is the case, Texas is in good hands taco-wise. Once things return to normal, you can bet I'll be dining in here when I return to HOU!

You can't miss out this taco location! They have outdoor seatings and indoor. As you enter, you pay in the front as you make your taco selection. I would have the say, the customer service was spectacular! As much as it's kinda a self service drinks place. But the the checkout process was amazing! The lady who checked us out was patience since it's our first time, she offered to let us sample some of their in house fruit drinks. Lovely woman! Bow boiling down to the tacos and taste. Spectacular! Everything was properly seasoned and greatly portion. Pricing is a bit on the higher side but look at how big the location is. Definitely worth every penny!

Friendly service and excellent food! We enjoyed our visit and plan to return soon. The price can't be beat. I ordered the special and my husband got the brisket taco. Both of us were so pleased that we bought an order to go for our daughter and son-in-love. The pastor at GBC told the congregation about this place during the Sunday morning service. It was a great analogy that can be found on the church website.

Probably the worst cracks I've ever had soggy tortillas and just distasteful very bland and soggy

Whenever I come to visit Texas, one thing I always have to get is breakfast tacos. From what I have heard and experienced this is one of the best things to eat within Texas. Tex Mex at its finest! I wanted to really like tacos a go go but it just wasn't that good to me compared to other places I have been. The tacos were huge and that part was nice but there wasn't enough flavor within the tacos to really make them stand out. I thought they were solid but nothing special.

This place is a solid 3/5. It's just okay. Personally, I don't get the hype. I had great customer service so that was good but the food was just ehhh. Torchy's is better in my opinion. I had the chicken taco, their well known chicken taco -can't remember the name, and barbacoa. The chicken taco was dry and truly reminded me of cafeteria food . It was my least favorite and I didn't finish it . The "specialty chicken " taco was a little bit better but something inside was burnt and it gave off a really off putting after taste. Lastly, the barbacoa was probably the best out of the 3. Definitely wasn't a shining star, but it was better. Considering it's lamb, This taco def has an acquired taste Just a heads up. Was this place worth a shot ? Sure. Will i be Back? No

Very fast service. Great ambience, very delicious. Food server was very nice to. I enjoyed the food very much. I brought some home to my sons and they were very appreciative.

I swung by here with some colleagues after a volunteer event. They were much more gung ho about the venue than I was. I've been to the Tacos a Go Go in Midtown, and while this place has a lot of the same vibe-- small, indy-looking, crowded and cramped, they also have a patio. The tacos came out hot, fresh, and made to order. I went with the taco plate, so I got beans and potatoes. The tacos were large and filling. I don't know if I'd make a special trip to go out here again, but if I was in the area, I would definitely stop by.

I came here bc Nanas Mexican Cocina was not open and this was up the street. Walked in and nobody said a word. One lady was on the phone and three were in the back eating ? I had to say something in order for them to tend to me and all I got was a "hold on" they literally could have taken my order. I got 4 breakfast tacos, one regular taco, and chips and queso for $35???? Definitely not worth it. The breakfast tacos were nasty. The potatoes weren't cooked all the way and the queso was so watery. Just disappointed because these have to be paid reviews, def not worth it, especially for these gentrified ass prices stick to Nanas Mexican Cocina bc they have 10/10 service and AMAZING food. We haven't been to Tacos A Go Go in many years, but had lunch picked up this past week. It was very good and better than I had remembered. I had a brisket taco and a fish taco. The brisket taco was so big I saved the fish taco for the next day. The brisket was tender and tasty. The red salsa we ordered was also very good. Service was polite and quick. We will be returning sooner this time.

If you don't know about this place, you better a go go right now! You can't go wrong here! Service is always excellent quality is excellent and the food is super hot when you pick it up. The hangover tacos really awesome, especially when you're not hungover. tots!

Tacos are fantastic, margaritas are definitely a must!! 4 thumbs up . Definitely repeat patriotism!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love a good taco and I've been messed over with the breakfast tacos here before but I went back and got the dinner tacos. I must say they redeemed themselves. I ordered two of the shrimp tacos on corn and these things come stuffed! Very filling and pretty good with a nice crunch from the veggies included. I also ordered the thx chicken tacos and this was also a hit! It's so big I had to use a fork to get all the fixings that fell out. The only taco I got that wasn't up to par for me was the Piccadillo. I'm a little bias bc my family and I make this from scratch so it just didn't hit home like I wanted it to but someone else my like it. The staff was quick, friendly and efficient. I've always liked taco a Go-Go, I'm just glad they did me right at this location finally. I'm still a little skeptic about the bfast tacos tho but dinner was good.

Decent tacos, didn't blow me away. I enjoyed the brisket the most out of the 4 tacos I ordered. My wife ordered off the vegetarian menu and really liked the tater tot and "chikin" tacos. The veggie menu is definitely a plus for all the vegetarians out there. We also got chips and salsa and the white queso. The white queso was really bland, I added some hot sauce to it to make it more edible. This particular establishment also loses points on cleanliness. The tables were filthy, we wiped down our own table. The men's restroom was as clean as a dive bar in Tijuana. There were also flies everywhere.

The food is consistently very good. The variety of sauces at the condiment bar is a great option. Employee Rose is always super friendly, upbeat and helpful. She's very professional and is the real reason for this review. You'll know her when you visit.

Very convenient location, right on the corner of a busy intersection. I'm not a personal fan of their tacos but did find the ones I ordered fresh and the staff friendly.

I tried to give this location a second try being the first time I came around 345 pm on a Wednesday with less than 4 people in the restaurant including myself and it took 20mins to make 2 tacos. This time around it took almost 30mins for 3 tacos. Then when asked how much longer the excuse from the manager is we have a lot of tickets. Cool, but why have two people who have ordered after me received their food before me. I try to be understanding especially if it's a busy time. However, being blown off by the manager and not recognizing the issue is a problem. There was also a woman before who was having the same problem. There definitely needs to be better structure in the kitchen.

I really love their grilled chicken taco. It is perfect. However, to avoid a wait, I usually call them or order online. No kidding, 80% of the time they get the order wrong ( this has been true for at least the last 5 years and I order from them about 1x a month or so). I cannot imagine why they can't get a simple order (with no substitutions or changes) correct. Also, I love Mexican and Texmex food most anywhere but I really do not like any of their salsas.

We were in the area and needed to waste time before a store opened. We tried Tacos A Go Go on a whim. It was good. It was BUSY non-stop but it stayed clean and the service was friendly. We will definitely be back.

I live nearby and loving coming here. It's quick, everyone is always friendly. So many taco options that feel so fresh every time. Never seen a white and yellow queso option, both are good. I prefer outdoor seating.

Great tacos. They have been selected #1 in Houston multiple times over the years. Quick service and easy take out. The Verde is a great veggie option and the breakfast tacos are particularly good.
