Google
I liked the Mexican food from here. The staff was great and fast, a good amount of seating outdoors, well priced, and confidently located right on the intersection. Get the Chicken Street Tacos with a fresh Coconut Juice. Both of those were tasty and excellent. Worth checking out on the east side of Colfax!

Google
I got the pastor, asada, and carnitas tacos. I especially recommend the pastor!

Rob DLion

Google
The food here was really good. The pupusas were very delicious. The burrito was awesome. Definitely has the South American taste. I also drank the horchata and it was spot on. This place does get busy. They have a patio where you can wait with a pager they will give you. I will definitely be going back.

Google
Better call 📞 over the phone to place order pupusas take forever it can be from 15 min to 1 hour depending how many you order. I order one to go it took 15 min. Flavor so so I came from Cali so the pupusas over there are from $2 to $3.50 no more than I guess here in Colorado Mexican and Salvadorian food crazy expensive. And the pupusa is small here.

Nicholas Noffsinger

Google
Hey good place to eat but after covid they went high on the prices pupusas used to be three bucks now they're like 5 to 6 the prices went up so if you like to spend money go ahead go there good food though just the prices are a little high now

Google
I happened to be in area hungry and decided to do quick search , despite having driven many times past this small restaurant I hadn't stopped just wanted the closest and after viewing their reviews I stopped with so.ewhat high expectations. My experience was nice starting out I like the layout even though small hadn't realized they do have patio seating. The orderk g area is quite small perhaps reason no eating is allowed I side. I try to support small businesses and really wanted to lie this small venue. I would still give them benefit of doubt due to several reasons I will mention. They seemed to get pretty busy and I'm sure it helps they have many ala cart options at reasonable prices allowing for tasting variety of items if choose to. I ordered a taco, pupusa , tostada and agu de horchata. However upon receiving my oder toom a seat went back and and they were having trouble with order a ringing at once. According to Google that's not their busiest. Seems they could benefit from implementing ting a better system I mentioned If I would get my agua d horchata. They I dicated they would in a few I waited they proceeded to hand o er order after a while was told I had not bee. Hatched for it. I simply stated it was OK and went our to eat my food. It probably didn't help I was hungry and was a hot day as I proceeded to eat pupusa it was soggy on bottom whether that was from how they make them or waiting on water that was not taken upon order I'll give befit of doubt. The fla or was not i.pressi e or special while did taste fresh. The tostada de ce I he seemed small portion but once prepared it was probably the best out of the 3 items. I didn't get much flavor or from the taco or the salsa beside a spice but no flavor whatsoever. It would of been I was thirsty or who knows. They seem to be pretty busy and based on amount of reviews maybe fumbled my order and hence provide 4 instead of 3.

Google
I was craving some pupusas and delicious tacos. This place did not disappoint. For future travel and food adventures follow my Instagram @officialgetfresh The restaurant accepts card and cash. If you order to go you will receive a number and will have to display it on your car. I did mine on the inside. For a few tacos and a pupusa the wait was around 40 minutes. I felt that was a long time and it was one of my only downsides. The staff was very friendly. Speaking both English and Spanish. They have plenty to choose from. I went with two al pastor tacos and one chorizo. Additionally, added an al pastor pupusa. I found the salsas they added to have good taste. My favorite was their darker red salsa. The cabbage I was not a fan of. Was more of like a coleslaw with no real flavor. Finally, for the review. I would give this place a 6.3 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. If it wasn't such a long wait or the salsas had a bit more flavor I would definitely have rated it higher. Until next time. Thank you for the good food.

Google
Parking can be tight. They now have buzzers they hand out. When your order is ready it notifies you. Don't be those guys who wait in the tiny ordering lobby after they ordered. Consistent quality everytime.

Yelp
Best tacos en Denver we never skip this place before heading back home to the springs it might take a second because they make everything fresh

Yelp
After reading all the great reviews, I was underwhelmed when I tried it. We got Asada (steak), Al Pastor (pork), and Chicharron (pork skin) Pupusa. They had good flavors but were greasy yet not crispy. I really enjoyed the slaw tho, crunch, salty and tangy. The salsa was alright, not too spicy. $4 per and 2 will definitely fill you up. But honestly, the pupusas were just alright and the best dish I got was the fried plantains. They were soft, melting in your mouth and sweet. They were served with mashed beans (kinda different from refried beans, less flavors but very good) and some cream (i guess it was sour cream but the color was pink-ish so not so sure). $9.50 for the sizable portion which is best for share. The food was served in plastics since there isn't any indoor seatings. There are around 6 tables outside and most of the orders are takeouts. Quick service.
google avatar

Thu T.

Yelp
This place is known for their pupusas but they're meh. Al pastor and asada fillings are ok, but chicharron filling is weird. It's not what I expect it to taste like. It tastes more like finely shredded pork with heavy seasonings. All pupusas are very greasy, you can see the oil dripping on the parchment line paper. Each pupusa order comes with coleslaw which is very refreshing and delicious. It adds a nice crunch and cut through the richness of the pupusas. Fried plantain is also delicious. It's a bit odd that it was served with sour cream and refried beans, but whatever. This small restaurant is mainly for to-go orders. No seating area indoor. There's a seating area outdoor with limited tables and chairs, covered by umbrellas. Overall it was not very good - all because of the oily pupusas which makes it so heavy to digest.

Yelp
Awesome food. Could not think of a better late night place to get street tacos and probably the best pupusas I have had in Denver. Staff made everything on the spot.

Yelp
Months I've been driving past this place and finally had some time to go in. It's a teeny tiny place. I mean 3-4 people max. This is a 1st for me where you order, they give a number, and you wait in the car for delivery. There's outside dining area, but nothing inside. The carne asada tacos were delicious. We also had the chicken torta for the kids and that left untouched.

Dj L.

Yelp
I love the food pager system. I had the chorizo pupusa and my bf had the chorizo burrito. The chorizo was packed with flavor. We have wanted to try yall for several years and saw the Westward reviews and finally decided tonight was the night, we were not disappointed.

Yelp
Go there for the tasty tacos and burritos and don't expect much from the decor or surrounding area. It is in a shady area on Colfax...when I went there and ate outside on their patio, there was a woman yelling profanity at another woman crossing the street. Anyways the tacos and burritos were very tasty for a decent price. If I come back, I'll probably just order to go and eat at home.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Little shack on the side of Colfax with a tight parking lot. No indoor seating but there is a outdoor side patio. Very smart of them and you'll understand why in the next couple of sentences. The food here is banging! I ordered the Pupusas De Asada and Al Pastor Burrito and although I was farting my way through each bite, I was loving it. Pupusas so fluffy and crispy and the burrito was loaded. The Al Pastor was so delicious I'll probably get double next time with less rice and beans. I'm still farting as I type this, but wow, this place is a must go.
google avatar

Kyle Z.

Yelp
Place was clean, and the tacos were decent. Nothing worth writing home about, but certainly not bad at all. Had the chorizo, al pastor, asada and pollo. I usually prefer Al pastor, but the chorizo was really nice and the revuelta con todos pupusa. As a concept I'm a huge fan and they gave some slaw and fermented veggies they were tasty. It was Ok. No super rush to go back, but I may have built it up too much in my mind driving by it all the time and seeing the super high reviews. If I go back I'll update my review. Little strange in that you order and then sit in your car awaiting them bringing out your order unless you sit on their patio. I felt fine (I'm also a decent sized dude) but could see how someone may feel a bit nervous just sitting in your car with some of the sketchy people around east Colfax.

Yelp
Spectacular. Magnifique. Simple, wholesome tacos in this hole in the wall establishment that serves authentic quality tacos with all of the trimmings. Al Pastor is their specialty, closely followed by juicy carne asada and spicy chorizo. The tortillas must be hand made or made that day - so warm and fresh. At $3 a taco you get quality and a decent portion. Looking forward to another excuse to be in the neighbor hood to stop by and have a little slice of Al Pastor-ness Goodness #YUM

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately the food was underwhelming. I ordered an Asada burrito, seven Asada tacos, and one Loroco Pupusa for my family and I. I had the Asada burrito. It was wrapped in an uncooked flour tortilla and turned soggy almost immediately during my ten minute commute home. The meat does not taste like Asada. I believe they just cooked it over the stove with regular cooking oil. The burrito also had a bunch of rice and only a sliver of meat. Sorry for leaving a bad review! I hope this is an opportunity for the business to improve more than anything else.

Yelp
This place is luckily nearby. They prepare everything fresh right in front of you. The meat is superior...all of it. The veggies are prepared fresh for every order. All of their sauces & salsas are unique and delicious ...but can vary in heat day to day depending of course on the fresh peppers involved. Tacos, burritos , and papusas are the main items. If you've never tried a papusa they say this is the spot. I like the cheese one myself. I also recommend the smothered burrito...their meat is better than the most expensive Mexican restaurants I have tried. I really can't give any other suggestions other than go in your first time to see just how clean & fresh the food is.
google avatar

Hunter L.

Yelp
Really great pupusas. Chicken is my favorite. I also like the tacos. Served simply. Call ahead and pick up.
google avatar

Alice Z.

Yelp
Food is insanely good! I enjoyed the cheese papusa, and Al pastor and shrimp tacos. You can tell this place is amazing because it's filled with locals. Only downside for me was that the salsa was too spicy (I can only tolerate mild salsa) but it was still really good without any sauce. No indoor seating so we ended up eating in our car (we don't live nearby and didn't want the food to be cold)
google avatar

Connie H.

Yelp
Was told that the al pastor tacos here were the best - but I come from San Diego, so that is a big claim. Decided to try them out and ehh.. not as great as SD, but for Denver I think they were decent. The pineapple was a good touch. Also tried the pupusas and they were yummy. A little over priced in my opinion.
google avatar

Hannah C.

Yelp
Look no further for your plátanos maduros cravings. An order here comes with 2 thoroughly ripened plátanos fried with lots of crispy caramelization. Pupusas are very yummy--give loroco, a green edible flower, a try as it pairs great with the melty cheese. Wash it all down with some horchata.

Yelp
Seeking to satisfy my taco craving I made my way to the 'Fax and Tacos Acapulco for some street taco goodness! ++ Prices are on point! ++ Both the tacos and the pupusas are phenominal! I noshed on the tacos de camaron and an al pastor pupusa! Sooo tasty! ++ Service is pretty darn quick; making it a great lunch spot! ++ While the space is small and a little divey looking on the outside; inside it's very modern and clean! Tacos Acapulco was def what my taco obsessing self ordered! I know I will be back!! #tacosarelife

Yelp
Best street tacos in Denver. Awesome spot for takeout - fresh, super authentic and reasonable...and a friendly staff!
google avatar

Yelp
Super good. Highly recommended. Handmade papusas and amazing al pastor. If you have the chance, go here.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my new favorite spots for street tacos or pupusas! I've been twice so far; once during early quarantine and once about a month ago. I randomly get cravings for their fried plantains... even when they're not fully ripe. Fortunately, the employees are honest if their vegetables and fruits aren't ripe yet. Thank you for your candor. I also appreciate their social distancing protocols. You are able to wait in your cars with a number for your dash and they'll bring your order straight to you. In addition, dining is available on their outdoor benches.
google avatar

Yelp
Let me start of by saying I love Mexican food. Eat it a lot. However.... I don't hand out 5 Stars for any old burrito. This place earned it hands down. The menu is simple tacos, burritos, home made papusas all looked and smelled appetizing I went for my go to, a carnitas burritos. It comes with rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa. Personally i don't think "salad items" don't belong in a burrito so I excluded the lettuce and tomatoes. It was awesome. Awesome Awesome Friendly service and great prices. Even had the medio-litro Mexican coke. Nothing could compliment the burrito better with the exception of a good tequila... which obviously they don't have. Go there you'll thank me later

Yelp
This place is not your typical taco al pastor shop. Pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made of corn tortilla stuffed with filings inside. They consistently serve tacos, burritos, and horchata. But you came here to eat 'Pupusas Revuelta Con Todo' get it and you will go home happy!

Edgar H.

Yelp
google avatar

Edith V.

Yelp
Food is delicious but customer service is terrible. Theres only one Lady taking orders and rushing to order, very rude nd hangs up if you don't hurry!
google avatar

Shari B.

Yelp
This is my go to for Pupusas and shrimp tacos. I've been coming back for 15 years, enough said.
google avatar

Rick C.

Yelp
Had asada, Al pastor and carnitas. They were good for Colorado. Similar to those I get in Baja. As a taco critic I have spent a lot of time across the boarder in Baja.
google avatar

Grecia P.

Yelp
Being Salvadoran, I'm always in search for good pupusas. This place is definitely the best place for them in Denver! The place is small and there is no indoor dining (only picnic tables outside). We prefer to call ahead of time and pick up our food since parking is also pretty limited. The ladies that make the food make it pretty quickly and it's always hot and fresh off the stove! My favorite pupusas are the cheese ones and I also like the chicken & cheese ones + Price is on point ($2.25 for a pupusa is pretty standard) + Taste is delicious (they don't break apart easily which can happen if they aren't cooked long enough) + Curtido (the cole slaw) and the salsas are tasty, too (don't be afraid to try them!).
google avatar

Frank B.

Yelp
Traditional , delicious and worth trying if you're in the area. Always looking for good food from different cultures .
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
Love love love those pupusas revueltas or loroco con queso mmm delicioso! Must preorder otherwise you'll have to wait.
google avatar

Yelp
What happen to this place? If you want to get Sick go here! They gave me tacos al pastor and the meat was old and smelled weird! (FISHY) I ate the tacos because i was on my work lunch time and did not have time to return the food and go somewhere else. Later at night i had a very bad stomach ache and diarrea all night.
google avatar

Abe M.

Yelp
Good tacos; among the best I've had in the Denver metro. Tacos is simple. Meat, onion cilantro on corn tortillas. Salsa, cabbage slaw, radishes and cucumbers on the side. I ordered a mix of carne asada and pork carnitas tacos. Pork was well braised, tender and moist. Don't expect to dine in at this place. You order inside but there is no indoor seating. The outside patio has about five picnic tables. I like that they have an outdoor sink so you can wash your hands before handling tacos . The only item I didn't enjoy was the red salsa, a bit runny...but that just a personal preference. Green salsa was okay .
google avatar

Yelp
After a disappointing taco experience last week (see review) we came here for the real deal! I realize this place is a little lacking in atmosphere, but that kind of makes me love it more. It's small, busy, always crowded, most of the seating is outside, orders can take a while, and only if your lucky is there an employee who can speak English. Don't let any of that keep you away because I haven't even mentioned the food. The menu is short and to the point; tacos, papusas, tortas, burritos and a couple other random offerings. There is no fancy salsa bar, but they make several different kinds (all delicious and spicy) and seems everything on the menu is paired with the appropriate salsa, which they include. Also, homemade horchata. I have never had anything I didn't like. But, what I really drive all that way for is the BEST tacos Al Pastor in Denver (IMO) and some really great papusas. They no longer have Lengua on the menu, which is kind of sad. Oh yeah, and two of us left full and happy for under $12

Daniel G.

Yelp
For starters my fiance and i went in and the lady gave us the nastiest look. She proceeded ti act superior and she had the worst attitude. We paid and she told us to wait in outside and they'll give us the food. We waited for maybe 30 minutes. Then we went inside asking for our order she proceeded to give us a nasty attitude. The other lady comes inside and starts saying she looked for us all over with the nastiest attitude so i told her 'we were waiting outside if you wouldve looked for us like you say you wouldve found us lady' and she then whispered to the other nasty lady with an attitude. So we left.

Yelp
Nothing stood out but the food and service was good. I would visit them again if I were in the area. Also, it is open later than other businesses and may be a good choice in a pinch.
google avatar

Manish S.

Yelp
One of the best hole in the wall Mexican. Papusas and tacos are worth it all the time. One of my go to authentic Mexican

Branden V.

Yelp
I moved here from the Chicago area 2 years ago so I'm used to amazing food. I've been so underwhelmed with the Mexican food in Denver. Very bland and too expensive. I don't mind paying top dollar for good food; but I'm not gon pay for big bucks for trash. I stumbled across this place and MAN it's the best Mexican food I've had since I've been out here. The food here is adequately priced and it's made with quality. The restaurant is clean and the people at the service window do a good job. What more could you want?? Clean facility, great food, decent prices. I'm telling everyone I know about this spot.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
I've been here several times with friends because I can't get enough of the pupusas , They are absolutely delicious! It is a small little restaurant, but it really packs a punch in flavor. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy tacos, pupusas, and a great experience!!! Dan & Lexi
google avatar

Caleb K.

Yelp
These are the best Pupusas I've ever had in my life and the staff is extremely polite and fast.
google avatar

Jelena L.

Yelp
So legit! I love the fact that they are open until 10pm during these crazy times!! Their food is outstanding. Pupusas are phenomenal, and tacos are super good! I have been coming here for some time, so a review is well overdue. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Nino R.

Yelp
This is a locals-only spot. The pupusas are the star of the show here. You can order a la carte or choose from one of several upgrades. Tacos are street style. They come with radish/lime/salsa verde/tapatio on the side. Burritos are fat like pug puppies. You can try to pick them up but it's less messy if you just cut into them. Not my cup of tea me when it comes to burritos but they are good. The place isn't clean so don't go with expectations. Parking is limited. 6 stools at the counter and 6 tables on the patio. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better fast-food option. Caliente...
google avatar

Kokass A.

Yelp
I've tried the carne asada tacos, their carne asada smothered burritos, and their tacos al pastor. They are delicious. The carna asada is cooked just right and the al pastor has the right flavors. Add some of their house red and green salsas if you need some extra flavor and kick. My mother is a great cook but she also is a thousand miles away. This joint makes me feel right at home. The only drawback, if it is one, is the service format: the small vestibule/ carry-out format isn't really my thing. Thankfully, a friend and area local brought me here and showed me what I was missing!

Yelp
East Colfax Taco Tour UYE! Sunday October 30th 2011 3RD STOP, The FINAL STOP of East Colfax Taco Tour UYE : Tacos Acapulco. Tiny Tiny establishment. You order at the counter, and make sure you get a "ticket" and remember your order. There are like 3 or 4 stools if you dedcide and can have your tacos eating in. You also can seat outside or either have your order to go coz that was my observation at other patrons that afternoon ordering from this Taco Stand. Since I was stuffed from the other eateries, I decide to order just one. I cant recall what I order. Was it tripa or was it lengua? All in all 3 stars for this Taco Stand, and I dont mind returning with Hubs and see how or if my review might differ.
google avatar

Ho S.

Yelp
Tacos Acapulco was very good. I tried the pupusas (by recommendation of the nice gentleman waiting for his food) with cheese and chicharron, pupusas with cheese, tacos al pastor, and even tried the fried bananas. I was very hungry. The pupusas were a great texture, crispy on the outside and delicious and soft in the inside. The tacos al pastor was pretty much all you can for in a taco. Highly recommend. The service was great, and I will definitely be back. The only reason I didn't give it 4 star is because I'm not sure if it did anything different than other taco places on colfax, and/or my knowledge of pupusas isn't up to par. Definitely worth checking out though, and I will be back.

Karlie B.

Yelp
Food was good, we ordered two burritos and one street taco. Both were great. My husband said his burrito reminded him of a much better version of the 7-layer burrito from Taco Bell! Even though it wasn't too crowded inside, we did have to wait about 20 minutes to get our order. Will try ordering online next time. Only complaint.. they don't provide or sell chips, salsa or guacamole.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
Terrible service! I was waiting for over 5 min without any acknowledgement and they started taking order for someone who came in after me. I asked how much longer until I can order because I was getting irritated with the situation, and the response was "I don't know you need to wait." I said I don't want to wait much longer and she responded with simply I DONT CARE. seriously ???! Are you kidding me? I'm all for the hole in the wall restaurants with great food but there are basic manners that need to be met! I will be never returning here again. The service not worth my time
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Amazing hole in the wall for tacos and puspos (sp?). They only spoke Spanish so make sure you brush up before you go! Lol. Super authentic and we loved everything we had. Most people did carry out but there are a few tables outside to sit and eat. The al pastor and the puspos are a must.
google avatar

Kaleb V.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. I have only been in the area for a couple of months but have been here 8 times. I've taken out of towners here too. I haven't a single complaint. Always delicious, always fresh. I recommend their roja picante, such a good hot sauce for the spice lover. Chorizo is a different chorizo then you'll get from other places, seems it's actually a sausage type chorizo rather then the chorizo paste that comes from tubes. Bean and cheese papusa is where it's at. Oh and it's always dirt cheap. I've fed 5 people who eat a lot and kept it under $25.
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
5 stars compared to its peers. I do not know if people understand how hard it is to master each of tacos and pupusas but they do it here! Basically takeout only, you can't go wrong with either tacos or pupusas. The tacos are typically served with onions, cilantro, radishes, lime, and salsa (on the side). The pupusas are served with vinegar based coleslaw and a red salsa, which is great as pupusas are yummy (stuffed masa with cheese and meat) yet rich. If you go the taco route, I recommend al pastor if you eat pork. Any of the meats or loroco are great for pupusas. Best street tacos I have had in Denver, best pupusas I have had in a while. Get there!
google avatar

Heather T.

Yelp
There is nothing like a steaming hot cheesy papusa. I hadn't planned on eating here today but when a screw in my tire brought me to this side of town, Papusas became a reality for me! This is a tiny store with a big following. The sounds of Papusas being slapped together, with a sizzling grill and delicious smells wafting throughout create a mouth watering experience. I waited a while for my two raja Papusas with beans and rice. When I got them they were cheesy crispy happy on a plate. The cabbage slaw was tangy and perfect with the tomato sauce and papusa. The beans and rice were also perfect and my absolute favorite kind of rice. This is an out of the way place for me but I would definitely come back.
