Silom Thai, Chef’d Up Soul Food, and E Ramen Restaurants Are open in Buckhead, Old Fourth Ward, and Midtown, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Located in the former Taco Cantina space along Boulevard, I encountered a restaurant specializing in seafood with a “Southern twist,” offering items such as lobster tail mac and cheese with Cajun butter, shrimp and crab wontons, fried whiting and grits, and seafood fried rice." - Beth McKibben

We went in the afternoon around 1 PM, and the atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable—nice for a relaxed lunch. The food was pretty good and definitely filling, though it lacked a bit of flavor. The rice tasted like it might have been leftover—dry and not very fresh. The tacos and the enchilada were both solid and tasty. Service was slow despite there being no other customers at the time, but the staff was friendly, which helped make up for it. Overall, not a bad spot. With a few small improvements, it could be a great place.

I had a great time at Tacos & Tequila! The vibe was fun and upbeat—perfect for a night out. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and full of variety (definitely recommend trying a few different kinds), and the margaritas were strong, delicious, and just the right amount of sweet. What really made our visit stand out was our amazing waitress—she was friendly, super attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Service like that makes all the difference. Whether you’re going for dinner or just drinks and apps, this is a spot worth checking out!

Really really enjoyed my time here! We came on a Friday and there was a DJ and the music was really good. Slightly loud though so wouldn’t recommend it if you are trying to grab a quiet meal and catch up with a friend. The food and drinks were great and our waitress Aria was so sweet and kind. Would definitely come back when I’m in ATL

Google
Food was average. Had the pollo ranchero and for me it was missing something. A few more spices would have done the trick. The non alcoholic lavender lemonade was good. The atmosphere is okay. I sat outside so I cannot comment on what the inside feels like. Giving it two stars as the music was way too loud to have a meaningful conversation.

Nice Tex Mex location, a very comfortable environment. I especially like the free/open parking.Food was delicious and good portions. Our server Ale was absolutely amazing, with her attention to detail and ensuring we had everything need for great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Google
This was a first time experience here. The food and drinks were good. I would have like 4 flour tortillas instead of 3 with my fajitas but the food was real good nonetheless. The the drinks got me RIGHT! I especially like Kee Kee, our server. She was so awesome!!!! Nothing replaces awesome service so I will be back for the service over all else!

We went here to celebrate our youngest daughter 23rd birthday and we had an amazing time. The food, drinks, atmosphere and waitress was amazing can't wait to go back.

Google
Food was just ok! I had the chicken soup and it was under seasoned for my taste. I also had the guacamole with the pork belly and I truly thought the guacamole was fresh but not this one. The guacamole in my opinion lacked flavor and creativity.

Yelp
Saturday night with my girl and this was just what the doctor ordered. We missed PCM (they close at 9 PM) and this was the closest option with music, food, drinks and a nice atmosphere. All booths and outside tables were full so we sat at the bar. Our server was pleasant by bringing us menus and taking our drink orders promptly. The drinks are served strong so take your time! We ordered chips and guacamole, the salmon entree and the veggie bowl with grilled shrimp. The presentation of the food was very nice. The flavors weren't memorable. The shrimp seemed over cooked and it could have used a cilantro-garlic or hot sauce. Overall, to park for free, late hours, no reservations needed and good drinks - I'm surely going to return. Recommend to lovers of Mexican food and margaritas!

Yelp
I'll start with Dewayne. He was a joy. Its refreshing to have a waiter that is attentive and doesn't try to act like you are bothering them to do their jobs. He made great recommendations on drinks and food. The TNT Cheese dip was superb. I was disappointed that the street corn was cold when it arrived at the table. I didn't mention it because I was so enchanted with the cheese dip and knew the tacos were coming so I knew the corn was going in a to go bag either way. As we were leaving a DJ was setting up. I've already inquired what the atmosphere is like for Cinco De Mayo and it was described as an all hands on deck situation and I like it.

Yelp
Tacos & Tequila in Midtown delivers a lively atmosphere with top-tier bar service! Watched the All-Star game with drinks constantly refilled and even got some complimentary shots--bartender was on point. The vibe? Always buzzing with good company, making it a great spot to kick back and enjoy the evening. Food leans Tex-Mex, so expect some hits and misses--birria tacos were a 3/5, consomé a weak 2/5, but the queso with jalapeños held up at 4/5. Margarita pitcher? Solid 4/5 for the price. Rice and beans lacked flavor (2/5), so stick to the crowd favorites and come for the drinks--you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Glenda B.

Yelp
This order was done as a takeout. I had a craving for Birria Tacos. This particular flavor of Taco is very distinct and not all places make them the same. If the flavor is not there then you don't have anything bit meat and a corn tortilla. TThis place did not disappoint. The meat was tender, juicy and richly flavored. The consommé should always steal the show. This one was very flavorful. There was enough for me to share. I have to say the orser was also packaged well. The staff was quick and I didn't have to wait very long for my order either.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night and sat on the heated patio! It was chilly outside but the heaters kept us plenty warm. We were able to watch football on the many TVs and it wasn't as loud as the inside was which was really nice. We had a really wonderful server (Sebastian M) who was so attentive and friendly. The food came SO fast after ordering. Overall service was great. The food was pretty good too! The chicken tortilla soup was HUGE for $9 and I appreciated having so much avocado. My fiancé had the beef enchiladas which was $12 for a huge plate of food. He said they were solid, nothing too special, but it was a lot of food. The enchiladas weren't too hot when he received them which was the only little issue. We also had the plantains appetizer and they have an agave syrup on top which makes them extra sweet. I think I'd return again on a night we want to watch a game and get a big meal for an affordable price!
google avatar

Carissa E.

Yelp
I give it 3 1/2 The service was superb. Gary was our waiter. Very attentive and helpful. I had shrimp and fish over rice with a cheesy Mexican rice. It was good. We were celebrating birthdays and they had plenty of good drinks. They had plenty of big TVs to watch the game. Nice, clean we came straight from church

Yelp
My friend and I came here on national margarita day. Big mistake cause we waited 40 min at 8pm! We were seated right by the live dj and it was so loud I couldn't hear my friend talking across the table. It was fun though. We were started off with chips & salsa which were good but the salsa could've had more flavor. I got the enchiladas verdes and they were nicely filled with lots of chicken. The rice and beans lacked flavor. My friend's chicken chimichanga was good. I ended up having leftovers since the enchiladas came with 3. The margarita was good. I would come back here when it's less busy and not as loud.

Yelp
Food: Great Service: Awesome Ambience: Cool This place is always a great spot to hit up when you're in athus area. Free parking too however, be careful that you don't park & walk across the street to Ponce because, I noticed various cars that's had been booted upon me looking for a parking spot. Which made me read the parking sign & the sign clear said to NOT park your vehicle & leave your car if you were not patronizing this shopping center's businesses.

Yelp
What year we are on a Tuesday night and we all love a good taco Tuesday!! First off, I'll start by saying that they have this guy that is on his keyboard playing and singing as a form of live entertainment, and we were actually pleased with the way he sounds! Although at some points while trying to order, it was a little difficult to hear our server just because it's a small setting in front of the bar and he was a bit loud when we weren't ordering. It was actually nice to hear some live music. The servers greeted us right away as soon as the host sat us down. They brought us water and begin to go over a couple of the item menus the menu here never really changes however we try to switch it up and get some different things. Tonight I decided to get fried chicken tacos Mai Tai. Dislocation in Ponce is a pretty busy location so I wanted to keep it simple and I was really hungry so I just did a quick order. I think that if you're into the mex tex restaurants, this is a good choice I feel that you will leave pleased every time. Just wanted to share a quick place with you all for a quick taco Tuesday night out.

Yelp
I may just be getting older but the music seemed so loud and it just seemed so noisy inside. The small number of vegetarian items on the menu is pretty disappointing. For the most part it's the same items just without the meat, so I don't understand why there aren't more options listed. I ordered the fried avocado tacos, which I love, but I wish there was some lettuce, tomatoes, or just something bright and crunchy to compliment the tastes and textures of the avocado and cheese. I also don't think they need two corn tortillas on each taco, it seemed to overpower the tacos. On this visit, the service was crazy slow. Two of us went for lunch, it wasn't that crowded, and we were there for almost an hour and a half. We were going to order an appetizer but could already tell it was going to take too long. The food came out super fast once we ordered but we could never find our waiter when we needed him.

Yelp
Came here with the bf after he took a late flight into Atlanta and it turned into a really fun night! I had no idea this place was so big inside and has a live DJ?! I actually thought the music was a little too loud at first and I had to turn my whole head so my ear was towards the waitress to even hear her, but after half of the jalapeño margarita I didn't care anymore haha. This is the place you can come and sing out loud and nobody bats an eye, a couple actually danced catty-corner to our table and everyone clapped after! Just good vibes and good times, and the DJ was playing all sorts of hits that brought me back to my teenage and undergrad years, I loved it! Our waitress was so sweet, she explained the menu, was super patient with us and just overall seemed like a cool person. The food was also pretty tasty, even the chips and salsa in the beginning held its own. I enjoyed the margarita. It was very large and it felt like my Everest finishing that (like Joey on Friends in that thanksgiving episode)... I do think they possibly overcharged me for the margarita - the bill listed it as like $27 which I didn't realize any drink could cost that much, I might as well have ordered a pitcher at that rate, but I was pretty satisfied otherwise and I figured maybe they brought be a double or something, so I didn't bother with it. If you're looking for some decent food in a casual place with easy parking and a loud DJ then this is the spot to go!

Yelp
I stopped here for a quick solo dinner. I didn't expect it to be a party! Be prepared for lively music with a good vibe! I ordered the loaded queso with chicken, shrimp and steak. This could've been better for me and unfortunately was the only thing I tried. Service was just alright too.

Yelp
This place is super pretty - I love the outdoor seating - it's a covered area with plenty of ceiling fans - the inside is dimly lit with plenty of seating and a huge bar - the food was amazing - tastes really fresh and portions were plentiful - the service was quick and efficient - when u walk in you have the option of using the staircase or elevator - plenty of parking the lot is huge - be careful about parking where you shouldn't they have people in the parking lot watching and you will get booted

Yelp
Decided to visit again on a non holiday and once again the service just wasn't up to par. It was very slow to order, get drinks, food, etc. Drinks here are good, don't get me wrong, but I don't see myself coming here specifically for the food or even the service.
google avatar

Ashlye B.

Yelp
Always a vibe at this location!! I went on Cinco de mayo and glad I got there early parking was full not to mention the rain. Had to sit at the bar and it was lit. Ordered me a couple Blood Orange Margaritas and Shrimp tacos to go!!! The music was flowing and people kept coming in just to standinf room only. I had to leave after standing around for an hour.

Yelp
I stopped by for a bite to eat. The service was amazing and everything was delicious! I wish I took pics of al of the food. I got the elote, beef chimichanga, and 2 watermelon margaritas. Everything was really flavorful. I sat outside and as a result there were a lot of flies, but they can't control that. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Not fresh a guacamole that taste like it's been refrigerated all day long, extremely plain There are other restaurants that offer a live smash guacamole, riding your table, but definitely not this one

Yelp
I had been wanting Tacos for dayssssss and finally we ended up at Tacos & Tequila for dinner. As it sits in the plaza there is ample parking which made it perfect as it was a few of us and we drove separately... Upon walking through the door and heading up the stairs, the ambiance is very vibrant. As my visit was during the evening hours the lighting was dim but not intimate. Once I arrived at the hostess desk, the hostess greeted me with a smile and a warm hello. As we were a party of 3 we were able to be seated immediately. After being seated Chips & Salsa was delivered to the table immediately. As a heads up, don't get full off the chips & salsa. LoL! The salsa is super fresh, mild and the perfect style of chunky. The tortilla chips were fresh and warm and were salted well enough to be eaten even without the salsa. It took a while for our server to come to our table. By the time Cezar arrived we went ahead and ordered our drinks, appetizers, and main course all in one shot. (That should tell you how long we were sitting and waiting!) I decided on the: Beef Empanadas - Appetizer Fresh. Crispy. Meaty. Well seasoned. Very filling. Served with 3, making them perfect for sharing. Southern Tacos - Main Course (This dish comes with 3 tacos, rice, and beans.) The tacos were AMAZING! The chicken was well seasoned, perfectly fried and moist. The fixings were super fresh and balanced out the taco as a whole. The slice of avocado was a great compliment to the taco as a whole. It added a layer of texture profile as well as added a well blended balance to the charm of the southern spin on a Mexican dish... The rice was over cooked and bland. The beans were standard but when mixed with the rice provided as an optional flavor change from having just the tacos... During the duration of stay there were a few areas of opportunity that caused my visit to not be a 5 Star experience: 1. My party of 3 received 2 sets of silverware. When it was realized and a third set was requested, the wait was an extended waiting period. 2. The sauces that were requested during the ordering process did not arrive with the meal. As such, we had to track down our server to inquire about the 2 sauces only for him to return with 1 of the 2 and we had to again request the other sauce. 3. The attentiveness of our server was minimal. During our 40 minute visit he checked on us twice. Though twice in 40 minutes isn't a bad ratio, it was the timing of the check-ins. They were so far apart that it made the service experience lack luster. 4. The music was super loud. To the point that it was uncomfortable when trying to engage in normal conversation. Overall my experience was acceptable to warrant another visit, however, I may consider just doing a To-Go option as the tacos were really good.

Yelp
Great ambiance - great Texmex options. Bar area, inside and somewhat outside eating area. Located across from ponce city market.

Yelp
Was in midtown and looking for somewhere to get some good nachos. After sitting on yelp for 20 minutes, ended up here bc it was the most convenient...that's all it was. Pickup was quick and easy since I ordered online. For a Friday afternoon it wasn't that busy. Okay, the food...I'd give them a 5/10. Nachos were soft, chicken wasn't seasoned and real basic, even with grilled onions and peppers. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
Always on point. Bartenders are friendly & knowledgeable... and pretty. Food is always good. I have had a number of dishes, and all are great. To-go or dine-in is a treat.

Yelp
I def enjoyed my visit. There is generalized parking for shopping center. Love the outdoor seating even tho we didn't sit outside just love that it's an option. Tuesdays they do have live DJ so that was nice and his music selection kept the vibe. Our waitress Kris was nice and attentive. The food was great. We ordered the cheese dip with jalapeños. I'm not a queso type of person but this one was good!!! For entree I had the fish tacos with cilantro rice and black beans and I can say it did not disappoint. My table also ordered a steak taco with avocado dish that was VERY flavorful and spicy. It also had a hit of sweetness. I would def advise anyone to try it. My drink of choice was a watermelon margarita and it was good, strong but good (no complaints on the strong). We also ordered 2 margarita flights, on frozen one on the rocks and I did try it but it was said to be very good. So for food and drinks def a go. For vibe def a go. They have space that if you want to do a quick 2 step on the floor you can and the music selection allowed it. Staff was great from walk in to walk out. I will def be returning. Again thanks to Kris (hopefully I spelled it correct). Ps: sorry for any grammatical errors

Yelp
Can't go wrong with tacos or tequila so far his spot is one of my go to's for streak tacos and margaritas. They also have a really good roasted salsa. This visit i tried something different and got the empanadas and they were really tasty. The shrimp and calamari were decent.

Yelp
Decided to finally give this place a try after hearing good things about it. The place wasn't too busy so the service was pretty quick. They have covered seating outside if prefer to enjoy the warm weather. I ordered the nachos (which are under the appetizer) and they were really good. The queso was just right and they were loaded with my choice of protein (shrimp). Usually restaurants only give you 3 or 4 shrimp for the entire meal. That wasn't the case here. The drinks are just as good. I ordered the Sangrita and it was the perfect mix, not watered down. Even though I received a different drink and had to wait for water, the staff was still polite and friendly when handling the mistake.

Yelp
As a spot to get together with friends and enjoy the area, this is a great spot. Parking lot is host to a lot of big box stores, so no problem. Service is good and attentive- I think that party would be well served here. Food is okay. We had the empeñadas- the pastry was a bit over done and the oil lingered. However, served hot without drying the chicken tinga is a good thing! (Not pictured). This night, the house-made chips didn't come out right, the oil situation created NO MORE CHIPS for the night. The chicken tortilla soup was enjoyable and I added limes because limes make everything AWESOME! I enjoyed that the soup wasn't salty and didn't lack flavor. The burrito suprema with chicken was good. For me, I took a bite where the MOST sour cream was concentrated so I needed to pause a moment and take another bite to get the true taste of the burrito. Bottom line- fun environment, decent, food, great service.

Yelp
Great food and service! I been here several times and always enjoy my experience! I'm not sure if it's an every Tuesday things but this time they had a DJ and he was playing good music and the vibe was dope. If you come here you're guaranteed to receive great food and fast service and I know so because of the consistency every time I come here.

Yelp
Food: ok Service: great Ambience: A VIBE/fun I went here on National Margarita Day (Feb. 22) and this was definitely the place to go. We made a reservation and I suggest you do too on big "fake holidays" like that, that we all use as an excuse to drink and go out lol. First of all, there's free parking in this plaza, so that's always a plus. As soon as we walked in, there was good music and good vibes. There was definitely a good crowd already going at 6:30pm and it only got more lively from there. The drink specials were good with $6 tequila shots, $7.99 margaritas and $14.99 margarita flights. The pours were definitely generous - just how we like it. Despite things being so busy, the staff were super efficient, quick and jovial. They know how to handle a crowd with grace and no lack of professionalism. The drinks were delicious and hit the spot. I had the original, mango and passion fruit frozen margaritas. The flight trays were nice and the single margs came in a cool color-changing cup. I wish I could say the same for the food. It was quite bland and lackluster. It doesn't seem like they add any seasoning or flavor to the food. I had the shrimp quesadilla with rice and refried pinto beans. At other places, this typically comes with a little side of guac, sour cream, lettuce and pico de gallo as garnish. This dish didn't come with that, and those usual items are at extra cost here. That's a major bummer to have a bland meal with no additional toppings to add flavor and life to the dish. Overall, I'd come back to drink and catch a vibe but not eat. There are better options to enjoy a delicious Tex-Mex meal. I got what I paid for with the drinks but not so much my meal.

Yelp
Good food, slow service. The music was so loud you had to shout at each other and to the server. This is a restaurant, not a dance club.

Yelp
My, what a beautiful place! Gary was sublime and a wonder bartender. I had the fish tacos and a peach margarita and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
Tacos and Tequilas is an amazing restaurant to frequent. I love their margaritas so much, they are super tasty and two or three will have you feelings really good. The atmosphere is very laidback, which is why I think it's great for any occasion, family dinner, date, tea time with your friends, or even a solo date. On my most recent visit I just popped in quickly for a to-go order but I had margaritas at the bar while I waited and everything was so quick and my server was very friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
This review is more about the service provided by Iyana than the food. Dont get me wrong the food was excellent. However the service provided by Iyana was top notch. First she greeted me with a big ole smile. The thing i like the most was that she seemed to show compassion not to only me but as a customer but also to me as a person. I say this because even before taking my order, she ask if i suffered from any food allergies. That is just something you find very rare in a server these day. She also came back from time to time to check on me. I give Iyana a 20 out of 10. She takes great pride in her work and it shows.

Yelp
Me and my wife went here for a little date night last night , everything started good upon arrival then we get seated at our table outside on the patio in the corner , sit down and immediately cut my finger open and started bleeding due to broken glass at our table lucky my wife didn't cut herself but I said there for a sec waiting with a hang full of blood , and not the server or manager bother to ask if I was ok or anything they had the most blandiest attitude about it then got someone to clean it up 45 minutes later , we should have left but our food came and we made the best of it , then when we get our Check I leave a 10 dollar tip even thou I should have never tipped cuz I cut my hand open but wake up to these dirty folks charge my an extra 20 bucks on the tip thru my bank account This place has some shady and careless employee and I want a full refund

Yelp
I came on a Thursday night with friends and originally we planned for a party of 8 (including 3 children) but we had two more show for a total of 10 people. I say this because when I first asked for a table for 8, the hostess informed me of a 20% gratuity and said that if our party grew to 10 or more that we would be unable to split the check, there would only be one check. I said okay, thanks for letting me know. We waited for about 10-15 minutes while they got our table set up. When two more friends showed, I let her know that we indeed would have to go with the one check since there were ten of us now (again there were 3 children). So she reiterated the 20% and 1 check speech. Weird? Another 10 minutes pass to set up our table. Once ready, the same hostess comes straight to me to escort us then pauses and said, "just as a reminder there's a 20% gratuity and there will only be 1 check, you won't be able to split the check." I said okay sort of confused like she didn't just tell me this and she nervously took us to our table. Do understand that perhaps they may have experienced guests who wind up having issues with getting their bill paid, but for me I took offense as it seemed strange that she had this conversation with me 3 times before we even sat down. Already not a huge fan of the food here but I've shared many memories at this place. We sat down to a much larger than needed table for 10 but there were waters and menus already placed for us which was nice. Waitress comes by to greet us and says she'll give us a few minutes to look over the menu. We waited for at least another 20 minutes for her to come back and take our orders. Not okay. Food was okay. Not very flavorful or authentic, but also expected. I got the shrimp salad with chipotle vinaigrette. Wouldn't order it again. The salsa was a bit bland but the chips were okay. Overall, this review is based off the service and non-memorable food experience.

Yelp
had a fantastic experience at this tacos and tequila restaurant! The margarita flights were amazing, and the shredded chicken nachos were delicious. The service is always solid, and the waiters are super friendly. Plus, the patio adds a great vibe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The ambiance here is terrible. A very rowdy crowd if you come for dinner and the music is always blasting so you can't hear anything else. The food on the other hand is AMAZING. The Southern tacos blew us out of the water and the margarita flight was delightful. Service was slow.

Yelp
I can count on one hand of how many times I've been to Tacos & Tequila...literally three times (to celebrate a friend who came out, to celebrate the life of a friend on the anniversary of the date she passed, and once for lunch. Each time, I can say I had an OK experience. Nothing fantastic, nothing horrible, just OK. It's Tex-Mex, not authentic. The Parking: This restaurant is located in Midtown Place Shopping Center on Ponce de Leon. Plenty of FREE parking. The Atmosphere: It's your typical Mexican restaurant vibes, but the music they place is usually R&B. They have indoor seating and covered outdoor seating. Yes, they have a bar with TV's if you want to catch a game. The Food: The food is pretty good. I forget what I ate my first two visits, but when I went for lunch, I purchased three Crispy Shrimp Tacos & Fries. This was very good. The sauce on the tacos went perfectly with the fried shrimp. The chips & salsa is REALLY good here. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way for Tacos & Tequila, but if you're in the area and looking for something, it wouldn't hurt to give them a try.

Yelp
Shante and Jurites need lessons in conflict resolution, made reservations for a party of 15 ! Gratuity is included automatically. We arrived for our 7pm reservation at 7:06 and was refused seating because we were late. Went to the bar to try and order cocktails and was asked several times to move by security. Poor poor customer care and almost ruined my sisters birthday !

The food here was super awesome! I loved the Carnita fajitas! Those were the best fajitas I've ever had in Atlanta! You can tell by all the exclamation points! My brother had the pork belly tacos and he really enjoyed them as well. We also enjoyed the salsa, it was chunky with good seasoning and very enjoyable. The cheese dip, without jalapeños, was pretty basic, but the chips were good. The service was awesome, a little mixup when we first arrived about who our waiter would be, however, they did an excellent job and were attentive without being overbearing. The only thing I had a problem with was the house margaritas. Considering it was part of the name they weren't bad. They just weren't that good. I had a frozen one which I don't always get, but it was hot and it sounded good at the time. I don't know if it was the mix being chemically or the tequila itself was not my usual type but I was sad that the house margaritas were not fabulous. I will definitely go there again whenever I get the chance, I just won't be having the House margaritas. :)

Yelp
My 1st time visiting...Stopped in with my girls after work for some margaritas! The hostess greeted us with a friendly face and smile! They offer inside and outside patio seating along with bar seating. The whole ambiance was pretty cool! We started with drinks...I tried Coconut Margaritas, my friends had SANGRIRITAs and BEERRITAs! Our drinks were hitting as they were strong and delicious! We munched on complimentary chips & salsa then ordered T&T CHEESE DIP Topped with gilled steak, shrimp & chicken and served with warm tortillas. We each ordered 1...My friends enjoyed the dip but it was just ok to me. A lil too cheesy for my taste but decent. The highlight of our impromptu "girls night out" was our extremely friendly, outspoken, social butterfly waitress, Pam!!! We absolutely loved her! I was gonna give Tacos & Tequila 4 stars but Pam tipped the scale to a 5!! I highly recommend stopping in for a drink & a bite! T&T is clean, has TVs w/various sports games playing and a nice music playlist in rotation! This place was a whole vibe! I'll definitely be back and next time I think I'll try the tacos!

Yelp
Recently checked this spot out! Now, I will say I love the ambiance of the location. They have a nice indoor space. Plenty of seating then they have a nice patio. It is covered and it has fans so if it's chilly or hot outside they can adjust, which is nice. They had great music so shout-out to the DJ. Service was nice. Everyone was on it. Food didn't take long to come out. Also, I do love that they have Apple Pay. Makes everything is easier. For the food, I will say as a person who is a huge fan of Mexican food it did not hit the way I was hoping it would. The food was a bit bland. The rice and beans didn't have the flavors bursting like I wanted. The guacamole was fresh but It definitely lacked salt and lime. My burrito was very filling and had a great sauce but the chicken and the veggies also lacked seasoning. The same goes for the shrimp and beef tacos. Overall, the food was prepared beautifully just needed a bit more loving. The drinks stole the show! And they have a great happy hour. So if you are looking for a chill spot to grab some drinks then I say hell yes to this. All drinks were made perfectly. Tasty. Margaritas were delicious. So many flavors.

Yelp
I had the best experience today thanks to my waiter Diego. Greeted me at sit down, recommend me some food and beverage. Very tentative and relatable personality. I'm looking forward for my next visit, you should too. - Producer Mr. Sowingso

Yelp
Stopped by here last night before going to a concert at City Winery with my Big Brother. This is my 3rd time going to this establishment. Great authentic Mexican cuisine, we ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas, calamari and peach margaritas. The service was excellent and i love the ambiance, the decor is cool. They also have an outdoor space but we chose the inside. They have big screen tvs and we caught some of the NBA finals games. Its located in the whole food plaza and plenty of free parking. Everything was delicious and margs on point! I will be back!!!

Yelp
This place was a regular of mine in college and still one of my go-to Mexican spots. Located right across from Ponce City Market, it's a super convenient location with plenty of parking. I almost always have a little wait time but never anything absurd. In my most recent visit, I had the chilaquilas (usually my go-to because they are so yummy and I always have leftovers!) and shared a pitcher of house margaritas as well as a large bowl of cheese dip. My group also had the southern tacos and carnitas fajitas. Overall, it's pretty standard Mexican food, but I've always had a good time and it's one of my go-tos when I just want a solid dinner choice.

Yelp
The food was really good. I was expecting basic run of the mill American-Mexican food, but the chicken on my tacos was seasoned to perfection. The portions were big, and service was fast. We ate outside on the covered patio which was really nice (with the exception of the table next to us who FaceTimed his entire meal, despite having someone sitting at the table with him. She played on her phone the whole time because he paid her no attention.) They had TVs outside as well as fans, so even in June it wasn't too hot. We'll definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Yelp
Chips and salsa came out immediately whereas it Took at least 12 minutes to be acknowledged by the waiter who claimed no one let her know someone had been sat in her section. Chips and salsa were delish however the calamari and nachos could've used a taste more salt! The shrimp cocktail both tasted and smelled like watered down ketchup, not at all anything even remotely close to cocktail sauce and I reluctantly sent it back. I waited an additional 20 minutes after the appetizers came and never got my burger and fries. They were pretty easy about taking the food that we didn't eat off the bill but I cannot say I'm excited about going back for anything other than drinks, chips, and salsa.

Yelp
While walking around City Ponce market place, we saw this restaurant. We were greeted with a smile and seated at our table. Our waitress was very helpful by making suggestions and making sure we were comfortable throughout our dining experience. We were able to have a conversation and hear each other even though there were music playing. If you visit here, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
The service here is great and I give 5stars on that ONLY! The food here is a missed.. I've been to waaay better Mexican restaurants.. authentic or not this location is not good food wise. The food lacked Any flavor! The margarita was weak toooo much sweet and sour not enough liquor... mix was very overbearing in drink. It does have a nice ambiance.. only thing the music might be tooo loud for some!

Yelp
Great late night spot for food. The drinks could have been stronger. Service: Superb Ambiance: what you would expect from a late night Mexican restaurant.
