I'm half Mexican, so I know the taste or real Mexican food, and I must confess... The barbacoa tacos that I eat here were the most delicious tacos I've had in years! The tortillas were super tasty and fresh! I live in Mexico, but not all places here have fresh tortillas or such good quality of meat! And on top of everything, the strawberry water was perfect as well! I definitely will go back!

Google
One of of my fav taco places to go to. They are specialized in tacos and the quality of tacos is always good!

Roy Andrew

Google
Found a great hiding place. Great food across from George's international market. Tacos are great, interior is welcoming and server is friendly

Jon Burd

Google
This place has such a great hole-in-the-wall feel. Live music was super loud. We liked the tacos, but honestly it was a lot of meat and probably just average meat. Fair prices. Fun cucumbers and sauces.

Google
Disappointing. Love this place and have brought so many people here for the first time who also love it, but their service has completely fallen off. Walked in tonight, one table and waitresses just standing around behind the register. Ones I’ve seen before. Sat for 5 or 6 minutes minutes and nothing. A family came out who they evidently knew and they were greeted. I left. If I go back, if the “young” crew is working, I’m leaving.

It's been a while since I last had tacos from El Amish, so I decided to revisit. The restaurant is small and has a cozy, welcoming vibe, though it tends to get quite loud due to the limited space. I ordered two steak tacos and two pastor tacos. Unfortunately, the flavor was lacking compared to my previous experiences. The quality seemed to have declined, and the tacos didn't have the same delicious taste they used to. On the positive side, they still offer generous portions of meat. I also tried the horchata, but it was disappointing. It tasted like pre-made horchata mix rather than a homemade version. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. The food wasn't terrible, but it also didn't stand out as exceptional.

Google
This the real deal, I can’t believe this place is in a little town in Indiana! Please never change a dang thing, it’s PERFECT, except maybe serve cerveza someday ;)

Google
Rude employee's weren’t greeted when we walked in. The employee’s just stared at us. No one was ahead of us so we stood there waiting for someone to take our order but no one did so we walked out and went next door to Pakito’s Taqueria. I definitely recommend Pakito’s Taqueria great customer service and the best steak tortas in Fort Wayne.

Yelp
Good lil family taco joint... Considering we were the only "gringos" there, we knew this place would be solid. It's a "tacos only" place, so no sides (rice, beans, etc.), but you get a tacos ensemble with their salsas, sliced radishes, and cucumbers. Note: 3 tacos is the perfect amount for one person.
google avatar

Tina P.

Yelp
Tacos were great and good sizes. Love the different salsa. The server is very friendly.

Yelp
This unique joint is a must for hard core taco aficionados! Right across the street from George's international market it has about 15 tables that was packed with Hispanic folks and Spanish filled the room! Just like a trip to small town Mexico! If you want anything other than tacos you are out of luck! The service was excellent and even though the building has seen better days it was clean and cheerful looking. Our server was great and was fluent in at least two languages! They decked our table with home made salsas and cucumbers and radishes. Our tacos came with grilled shallots and jalapeños! We selected asada, lengue, chorizo and fried pork...all were excellent! With double wrapped with two corn tortillas and plenty of meat ,onions and cilantro three tacos were plenty for even a starving gringo getting his taco fix!we will return sooner rather than later!

Myron S.

Yelp
When you order with no onions it would be nice not to get onions. Green sauce and marinated pork were great but that was the high point. Steak was chewy.

Yelp
This place is so good! Took a detour through town to find good tacos and it was such a good decision. It's a tiny place full of really nice people. Tacos and drinks are what are on order, some really great salsas and that's it. No 7-page menu full of things, just really, really good food. 100% would be back if we ever find ourselves even remotely close. Hope this place keeps thriving, they all deserve the best.

Yelp
You want authentic tacos? This is were you wanna go! Amazing tacos! Tacos were on point and the service was great. My wife was craving some food from home (Mexico) and this place hit it on the nail!

Yelp
Ok!! I ordered 2 Asada and 2 Pastor tacos with onions and cilantro, extra jalapeños, and hot salsa. What a meal!! I would have been ok with 3 tacos because they were huge! But which one would I have sacrificed?? No, I couldn't make a decision like that. They were spectacular. The green salsa was a bit spicy, not spicy enough for me, but very tasty. There was another salsa that had onions chopped into it, that also was also a little spicy, also very tasty. The more was a little grilled jalapeño on the plate. That added a little kick to it Overall, the service was great, the restaurant was clean, the food was plentiful, tasty and fresh. I'm not from this area, but if I ever come back I will definitely come back to get some more of their delicious tacos! I should have taken a pic. Sorry!!
google avatar

Yelp
Seriously scrumptious tacos. The al pastor tacos were out of this world, just oozing with flavor. Best we've ever had. Moist and well seasoned with a carousal of salsas to choose from. Snug little family friendly spot.

Yelp
These are THE BEST tacos I've ever had. My husband is a taco afficionado and he's never found a taco place that rivals his favorite from home...until now. He said he can't tell which are better, so these are tied for first for him! The meat is tender and juicy and plentiful. The tacos are filling so I really only needed 2. This hole-in-the-wall place is delicious and authentic.

Yelp
El Amish Is an experience that should be tried. The store is small and a hole in the wall that is somewhat difficult to find. There is street parking and you can park at George's. The facility has a festive design and is clean. No lots of dinning room space but enough to eat in comfortably. The menu is simple - tacos! They have a variety of drink options. We had the asada and cabara tacos. The service was fast. It's was served with 5 different sauces, fresh limes and fresh cucumbers & radish. The taco meat was tasty and moist. The tortilla was freshly made. All very good and authentic. The staff was fast and friendly. A taco costs about $2.25 each. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
This place is legit. You can see and smell your tacos being made by the specialty cooks. The waiters are very efficient and kind. The cleanliness can suffer as this is a very popular restaurant.

Yelp
Boy what can I say...when several people referred me to this place, I truly believed that this was a gem in the middle of Fort Wayne. One of my favorite tacos is Pastor. But since normally they are made in a large side grill with meat on top of each other on a metal bar, spiced and with a touch of pineapple, you can't get them anywhere in the States. Well, I was delighted to see that they do use something similar, but the taste is of a real Mexican taco al pastor. I was so happy of find this place that I try to have once every other week. It's 20 minutes from home but the drive is worth it. Since it's a small place I normally place the order to go, but if you want to eat them right away, you can have a seat. If you don't want to feel guilty you can have a fruit juice which is made from scratch. The menu? Not complicated...only tacos. What else do you want? And By the way... normally there is a line to order tacos... so if you can order them in advance, that your best choice. Enjoy!!

Yelp
Great service, food, and fun atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and personable. Tacos= authentic and very tasteful. Will be visiting again!

Yelp
By far the best street tacos around. Lengua Tacos are my favorite. They keep it simple, fresh and never fail to disappoint.

Yelp
Recently had the worst experience here. After a very long day and really craving tacos from here, went to get some! It was packed inside which isn't unusual. Ordered pastor tacos and my partner ordered the fried pork tacos. Food arrives and the server sets the food down, the pastor tacos do not look at all like they usually do. So I told the server that I had the pastor tacos and not fried pork. She argues with me that what was on front of me was pastor. The pastor tasted exactly like the fried pork so I kept trying to explain that the pastor was not pastor and looked exactly like the fried pork and tasted that way too. I have been here many many times and I always get pastor tacos. The meat did not have that reddish hue that comes from marinating the pork and did not taste at all like pastor usually does there. I explained that I did not want the tacos because they were not pastor. I was asked if I wanted another type of taco, I said no I just wanted the tacos taken off the ticket. Thinking all is said and done, my partner finished his food and we went to pay. They were still charging for all the tacos. So we said that doesn't sound like the ones I had were taken off as asked. The server behind the register stated that they do not take items off a ticket (which no one mentioned at any other point). So since they refused to remove the cost, we had to insist that they actually make tacos for us to take home since they were going to charge us for them and they had taken back the ones brought to me already. Absolutely horrid customer service. It's baffling to me how people that work for a restaurant can not tell by look/smell that what they are giving their customers isn't right. Other individuals in the restaurant made a comment to me that they agreed the pastor was not the same today as normally. I understand everyone makes mistakes but I was treated like I was stupid and couldn't tell that what I was eating was pastor. I have never been to establish that essentially wanted to steal from us by not removing items from the ticket that were not eaten, or heard anyone else having that issue at any restaurant! We have been loving the food there for a long time but experiences like this are the kinds that make people not want to return to a business.

Yelp
The tacos here are good, but that is all they have. There are no sides and no chips. I would also say they are authentic from my experience working in San Antonio, TX. I prefer The Famous Taco on N Clinton over by Glenbrook Mall. The Famous Taco is also authentic, but offers a larger menu including sides. Tacos Aranedas provides the table with plain sliced cucumbers and radishes and slices of lime. There are no sides on the menu. Just tacos and drinks. Plates come with a cooked pepper and onion. The waitress will ask if you want onion and cilantro on your tacos. If you say no, then your taco only comes with meat, which there is a lot of on each taco. There is a hand written sign on the wall that additional toppings on tacos cost extra. I am not sure what additional toppings they offer. Taco's are al la carte at $2.50. They have a large variety of drinks including a fresh squeezed juice drink. I tried their hibiscus tea, and it was really good. Tasted like a type on Kool-Aid.

Yelp
It is in my opinion that this establishment is theeee place to have Tacos in the Summit City area. Don't get alarmed or scared by the limited menu, (it's only tacos). The atmosphere and original glass bottle coke that are slightly on the slush side, top this meal off. This establishment is a little tight on space we had a party of 8 in our group, we found room and every seat in the building was full, service was tremendous for the crowd!I will be attending this establishment in the near future.

Chris D.

Yelp
I've been all over the country and these are the best tacos I've ever had. The service is fast and friendly, the waitresses are bilingual, they bring you an assortment of salsas for your tacos, and they bring you a bowl of cucumbers & radishes. Most importantly, they also bring a bowl of lime wedges. I love lime juice on my tacos and most tacos places only want to give you one lime wedge per taco. Not this place. Here I can make my tacos as flavorful as I want without waiting to ask a waitress for extra of anything. They also give you grilled onion & jalapeño when you order multiple tacos. This is how a small local restaurant should be. I've been here more times than I can count and I've never left disappointed. I love this place & I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Bobbi W.

Yelp
I was looking for a place that had authentic taco's. Wow did I ever luck up. Walked in and it was packed and fabulous. Not very great of a building but everyone seemed happy to eat and clean. I was greeted with a very friendly and professional host. I will be back to get more tacos.

Yelp
Best food in Ft Wayne and some of the best authentic tacos I've had in recent memory. Menu is just tacos, Mexican smoothies, and pop so you better like tacos!
google avatar

Elana C.

Yelp
Their tacos are LOADED! It's really good! Forgot everything that I ordered but the most remarkable for me was their Buche Tacos. I think I also got the campechana and pastor. Everything is actually good it's just that Buche stood out more for me.
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing tacos! Only $2 for one taco - you can't beat that price. The taco sizes are pretty big. I only ate two tacos and was already full. I also got the horchata and oh man, was that worth it. My bill was very cheap (which was a pleasant surprise) for two tacos and one cup of horchata. If you want authentic tacos for a reasonable price, make sure to come by here!! Definitely would recommend.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place after hearing such good things! You can find 'El Amish' right off of Broadway next to Mad Anythony's. From the outside this place is nothing special and you would likely drive right by if you weren't looking for it. The interior is bright with numerous tables and Mexican decor, but nothing fancy. The staff was friendly and attentive. Tacos for $2...I didn't expect it to be great, but I was so surprised! I started off with a bottle Squirt for my drink, talk about taking me back to middle school. Then I ordered one steak and one marinated pork taco. Before the food arrived they brought radishes, limes, and different types of hot sauces to the table. The only thing that could have made it better was chips to eat with the hot sauce while I waited for my tacos! We waited a little longer than I would have expected over the lunch hour, but it was worth the wait. The tacos came topped with cilantro and onions and the meat was fresh off the grill. The steak could have used more flavor IMO but I loved the marinated pork! Squirt some fresh lime and add some hot sauce and you are likely to fall in love too. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Im a taco guy we all know this and this place fits the bill if you are in Fort Wayne...very simple, very small, very good....green salsa rules!
google avatar

Yelp
Stay away from the condiments on the table and you will be A-OK my friend. Tacos be some fire up in here, good as any in Fort Wayne and better than most. A little hole in the wall next to Mad Anthony's brewery and restaurant (formally known as Munchies) These little tacos be swinging though. Mexican owned and ran owner is George across the street at George's international grocery store. Fair price and good authentic tacos, love the Mexican sausage on a fried corn tortilla. Yes that is right and the steak taco is good also, but that Mexican sausage it be swinging and be firing up my pucker hole, but worth it and that cilantro are you freaking kidding me? Mexican sausage don't play has tons of flavor and just the perfect amount of fire to ones pucker hole to not burn you out to bad, pretty good really. A slight sting at the end maybe and that's the end of it.

Anthony H.

Yelp
Best tacos in town by far. My personal favorite the pastor but everything is good. Not a lot of options but what they have they've perfected. Great staff. Love this place.
google avatar

Scot C.

Yelp
Hi, just sitting down to eat, at the taco place next door to Mad Anthony's. $2 Taco Tuesday amazing supply of all the goods! F ixings from many Salsa's plenty of limes cucumbers radishes and great hot sauces I will come back!! :)

Aidan H.

Yelp
Insanely good street tacos -this place is on point -the grilled onion and jalapeño take these delicious eats and just elevates it . Always friendly service.

Logan W.

Yelp
Hands down best tacos in Fort Wayne! They have several choices of protein along with the best salsas around! Definitely stop here if you're ever around!
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
5 stars for food ... but just 1 star for service, so giving an average here. When I walked in alone, the place was full (good sign!). However, I wasn't asked if I'd like to stay, if I'd prefer take-out, or told that it might just be a few minutes. I ordered take-out, but there seemed to be no interest in serving me. They could have been better ... I did enjoy my tacos when I got back to the hotel, but wish I had a little kinder service when I decided to eat dinner there!
google avatar

Ruby J.

Yelp
Went to this place based on the majority of good reviews. I'm giving this a two star because they had a couple things right. But if I could express it all in one word it would be Flavorless! My husband had buche tacos and enjoyed them but we both agreed the asada tacos were probably reheated and flavorless the meat was low quality and had way more chunks of fat than expected. Yet the Horchata was very yummy something that can be a hit or miss most times. Over all I wouldn't return even if they're only $2. How can you mess up the only thing you sell. So sad.
google avatar

Yelp
ONE OF THE BEST TACOS I've ever had in the US! Was recommended to go here by a local, and let me tell you - I will forever be grateful! They only serve tacos, drinks and smoothies. Every item delivers!!! The taste, freshness and authenticity is on point. If you're looking to indulge in tacos that rival food south of the border - you've come to the right place! I 100% endorse this place as authentic and absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
google avatar

Aliya T.

Yelp
The taco spot. The meat is flavorful, corn tortillas are soft, they make amazing salsas & smoothies to cool off your mouth because that guac-salsa is SPICY!
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
Very authentic tacos!!! Soooo freaking delicious! We will be back! The fried pork was our favorite. We tried 3 different kinds. Also highly recommend the Horchata! Be careful with the sauces, as some are really hot!

Robert R.

Yelp
I travel for work so I normally Yelp places to eat , I found this place an let me tell you I was very impressed with the food good flavor nice a healthy tacos the horchata had a good flavor highly recommend this place
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
A must stop spot when in Fort Wayne. Hands down the best tacos North of any border. Couldn't love a place anymore than Tacos Arandas.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
We really wanted to love this place, because so many other reviewers did, but it was pretty much tasteless to us. We had 3 different kinds of tacos, but none of them had any flavor. Nor did either the green or red salsas. Be forewarned too that they truly serve nothing but tacos and only Mexican style with cilantro and onions. There are no chips and salsa, no guacamole, no pico de gallo. Nothing. Just tacos and juices and soda. Period.
google avatar

Julio C.

Yelp
I am from out of town and was looking for some tacos and ran in to this place The tacos are a grate and are a good size Buche TacosPastor Taco have a really great taste to them

Yelp
My friend and I visited here last Saturday and I was thoroughly impressed. When we arrived in the middle of the day, it was quite crowded but we found a table near the kitchen. Our waitress was prompt and we ordered beverages and three different types of tacos. They came out hot and fresh in under 5 minutes. Before they arrived we were served a bowl of fresh radishes and cucumbers and a bowl of juicy limes were on the table as well. The best part of the tacos is the tray of sauces that the waitress brings to add to the tacos. I like them all, but beware - the one that looks like chopped slaw is HOT HOT HOT! Delicious, but hot nevertheless. We finished up our $2 tacos, paid the bill, left a tip all under $15. I would highly recommend for authentic Mexican taco experience. Hope to visit again!

Yelp
A fine taco experience. The pastor is fantastic. A must stop for the Fort Wayne area.

Yelp
The very best tacos are found here! I have had them everywhere as traveling is my job. Trust me......if you know what real tacos are meant to be definitely come here!!!

Yelp
This place is phenominal. At only $2, I get these ginormous taquerias... I ate three and about busted at the seams. I had the chorizo, asada, and marinated pork. All three were great, and I liked them all equally. I think there are only about 6 different taquerias to choose from... very small menu, but who cares? When it's done right, you don't need much more. They give you a specific salsa for each type of taqueria you order. I have a very similar recipe from a lady in Mexico, and they tasted almost exactly the same recipe. As with all great food places, it is a hole in the wall in a somewhat questionable area. I will pretty much travel anywhere for good food, though. So far, this is the most authentic I've tasted in Fort Wayne. Their salsa is very fresh. I really didn't have any complaint with having no side items... the taquerias were so big I don't think I could've even stomached anymore food. I used a credit card to pay, so they must have made some changes since some of the previous reviews (which is good since I don't carry cash). I would definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Marvin S.

Yelp
The best taco place in Fort Wayne, hands down Came here as a child and have never stopped loving this place! You get more than what you pay for here. No matter your meat choice, every taco is composed of two corn tortillas with a dollop of juicy, flavorful meat. You truly get a taste of Mexico at Tacos Arandas El Amish. Seriously, the best place to get tacos when you get that taco craving! Only complaint I would have is the small space. Of course, not something that's easy to fix, but I would love to see this business expand to other locations!

Yelp
We were referred here by friends. Went on. Weekends and it was packed. Ordered 4 tacos. They brought out the radishes, cucumbers, limes and bowl if green stuff. I dipped a cucumber in it and ate it. Within seconds my mouth was on fire. I swiped it out of my mouth which was a mistake making my entire mouth on fire. It was like this for 15'. Our waitress never returned to refill my glass or ask if I was ok other guests saw me and were laughing as I was a gringa and they were true hispanics. I would have laughed too. Finally I went to the bathroom because my eyes were watering and face red turns out it was jalapeño guacamole that was very hot. Yep, it was Our food arrived 45' later and I took a couple of bites but couldn't eat it for my mouth was still hot. My mom said hers were ok but a few hours later had major bowel and stomach issues for hours. The food is very fresh and what I tasted flavorful. My mom said hers were ok but she's had better. Service is slow as well as the food. Prices are great though. We won't be returning.
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
Excellent food, simple menu. Low carb haven.... no chips is correct. Full of flavor. Will be back.
google avatar

Allison D.

Yelp
This place is exactly what it says it is. They sell tacos and that is it. The tacos are delicious and inexpensive. Don't expect chips and salsa when you sit down. They bring out cucumbers and radishes with the hottest guacamole stuff ever made. Try the cucumbers with a bit of salt on them. Delicious! The marinated pork is amazing! We didn't try any of the juices. We only had Cokes and tacos. I would highly recommend this place!!!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Tacos were great! Was visiting my mom and was so glad we found this place. I'll definitely be back every time I come go the Fort!
google avatar

Joe W.

Yelp
Great little taco place.. just wish there was more to explore on the menu. Fairly authentic tacos with great fresh flavors.

Aundrea S.

Yelp
I walked in and the temperature inside was a sweltering 88 degrees! That some would make it virtually impossible to enjoy a meal. We ordered carne asada and lengua tacos. The meat was tender enough but completely lacked seasoning. The salsa options were tasty but very hot (and way too hot to enjoy when the temperature in the restaurant was high enough to cause you to pass out). My favorite was the salsa Verde and the avocado salsa. The meat in the taco was more than plentiful. The tortillas were cooked until right before becoming crisp and I liked it that way because it prevented the tacos from getting soggy. Would I return? No. NO air conditioning. NO chips. NO flavor. NO cups of ice for your beverage. NO mas! Try George's across the street for a much better experience.
