Vibey Oakland French Bar The Redez-Vous Has Closed After Three years | Eater SF

"A long-running Mission restaurant is closing after 24 years; Mission Local reports it stopped serving food as of Wednesday, July 2 but will remain open to sell off kitchen equipment and decor until Tuesday, July 15. Owner Elba Hernandez says the restaurant never really recovered from the pandemic, so she declined to renew the lease, and she hopes to reopen in a smaller location in the future." - Dianne de Guzman

Very good place to try if you're in the Grand Prairie area. Great food truck food without all the hassle. Delicious tacos and the freshest fruit drinks there are. I would choose these drinks over a soda, any day. We tried some birria, cabeza, and al pastor tacos. They were all delicious. The red salsa was the perfect level of spicy, in my opinion. I don't believe I've tried a dry roasted pepper sauce in the 'taco scene'. They're mostly jalapeño and habernero salsas, and their roasted pepper salsa was pretty good. We also, ordered a melon drink. It was a wonderful refreshing drink. I wish I had ordered a watermelon drink, too. Sad that I didn't. If you are in the area, go try them out!

Great experience and food exceeded my expectations. Ordered torta lengua and 3 tacos with a pineapple agua. It’s rare to find a place that takes the time focus on quality over quantity. This is the place. Homemade tortillas and salsa were the best part!

First time here and have to say I can’t believe we hadn’t known about this place sooner! First off the tortillas were made fresh and the meat was well seasoned didn’t have to add anything other than just enjoy the food! We tried the asada, pastor and birria along with a fresh pineapple agua fresca sooo good! Definitely can’t wait to try other items on their menu!

If you find yourself in Grand Prairie near the intersection of Warrior and Pioneer, tucked behind Reino Cleaners, you'll discover Tacos Chava, a hidden gem of a family-run food truck. Over the past 10 days, I've visited four times: twice for their Fish Friday tacos and twice for their birria tacos. The consomé accompanying the birria tacos features tender beef chunks, with a velvety and rich flavor that isn't overly salty. The fish in the fish tacos is cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, and the slaw is absolutely delicious. The addition of a lime wedge enhances the flavor of the slaw, which is topped with a creamy sauce that complements every bite. I highly recommend supporting local businesses, especially if you're a Grand Prairie resident like myself. However, even if you're just passing through the area, a visit to the family-owned Chava business is well worth it!

I was super excited to try this food truck because it's so close to where I live and wanted a new taco place. The price was decent, the people were friendly and the agua fresca was super good, I got the watermelon one. I hate giving small businesses bad reviews, Unfortunately I have to give the food a low rating because the first bite i took was horrifying, i 100% thought my teeth had been chipped and swore there was a rock in the food, after I pulled it out of my mouth I discovered it was actually a tiny piece of glass. How does this happen? It's super irresponsible and dangerous , I found it in the quessabirria taco and it was in the cheese part. Please throw it out and be careful the feeling when I bit down was awful and im pregnant who knows what could have happened.
