Kind, quick service. Exceptional food! We got a chicken quesadilla (all the additions: cilantro, pinto beans, onions), burrito el pastor (rice, pinto beans, cilantro, onions, shredded lettuce/cabbage), two tacos (asada and pollo) with all the toppings. We were very happy. Portions are very large and very affordable! My quesadilla was huge and only $7! High quality taste. Be sure to get the spicy salsa verde. We will definitely be coming again.

Google
Tacos El Gordo the absolute BeSt! Fresh made while you wait, the prices are super affordable and the favors, fabulous! It’s always a great day when I see the taco truck parked in it’s regular spot on the west side of Fourth and Merril. Be good to yourself and definitely stop if you see their taco truck.

Google
The BEST steak tacos in the area hands down!!🔥 The service is very fast as well

Google
Best Mexican style tacos in town - also love their giant dinosaur egg sized steak burritos with everything on it of course! Super fast and convenient and very affordable- I can't believe how much food you can get for $10! They use chopped cabbage that gives everything an extra crunch and their red chilli sauce is delish but burns my mouth hah. I prefer the green mild sauce. Park in the auto shop parking lot next door.

Google
Never at the location they used to be, no updated hours or location either. Phone rings with no answer. Still got some of the best tacos though 😏

Google
Went to try them today on my lunch break and the tacos were delicious! I had 2 Steak, 1 Al pastor; the portions were big and the quality of the food was great. I’ll definitely be back. You won’t regret trying their food!

Google
Great food and great portions. Nothing more I can ask for...👍

Yelp
Now called Tacos El Gordo, they served the best tacos in the Southern WI area (Madison included!). Their lengua and spicy pork are my go to meats - purely because they taste amazing and the tacos allow the freshly prep meats to shine more! Price is also very affordable and great deal for the portion and taste. Might want to stay aware from the torta, unless you are craving for more carbs meal. The bread is really big! The burrito is tasty and very generous in size, especially when you eat them with their home sauce! However, their tacos are the best (hence, their name). Fun fact: I asked the owner last week, and they do open until 8pm!

Yelp
The price on the sign is the price you pay. Tortas, $9.... huge, filling and delicious. Great taco truck. Love it.

Yelp
Holy taco, compadre! This mobile gem in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot kills all the competition in Beloit. They rock the authentic Mexican food, preparing it fresh, making up each person's order to that person's specifications: i.e., salsa verde instead of chipotle salsa, hold the beans or can I have black beans instead, extra lime with my tacos, por favor. The pricing is in line with the quality and quantity of food. The signature burrito, available with many choices of veggies, has at least 6 protein options. Basically, what you have with Taco Truck is great Mexican food, with a jillion ways to "have it your way". Well worth your time, gas and $. Best buy based on quantity, quality and pricing. Can't recall seeing their truck on site during the weekends, but they hunker down on MON-FRI.

Yelp
To start off with, all that cabbage is not needed . Just get some cilantro and onions . My tacos sadly were soggier than it should have been but the tortilla itself and the steak and the spicy pork tasted great. The salsa verde was fantastic! Food trucks in this area are limited so they did well for themselves! **Also the yelp hours are incorrect on here. The owner said they are open until 8:30pm or at least on a Friday when I asked. This place is located to the right next to the Autozone.

Yelp
The Tacos here are delicious! You must try them if you haven't. The chicken tacos might be the best in my opinion. They also have Asada, Al Pastor, Spicy Pork.

Mike K.

Yelp
Great authentic Mexican food!! Fast and reasonably priced. Will be going back again and again. Update: Went back again for dinner (same day). It's that good!

Yelp
Wow. Delicious. The spicy pulled pork and Al Pastor were both tremendous. Guaranteed I will be back again when traveling through Beloit.

Yelp
SI! SI! SI! SI! Tacos Gonzalez is the best thing Beloit has going for it!! The taco's are amazing. I have tried them all, there is not a bad one. My only advice, is go without the cabbage. They add the perfect amount of onion and cilantro! The meat is tender and packed full of flavor! Some days the salsa is HOT, some days mild, but never bland or lacking heat. Not in a taco mood? feeling a little more than peckish? BURRITO! This thing is massive! I find the bean to meat and rice ratio is always well balanced. The flour shell is perfect. This place is affordable! If you are poor college student, tired of sucking down cup'o noodles for breakfast lunch and dinner, Tacos G is the place for you! No longer parked in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot, you will find them in a parking lot just north of AutoZone on 4th. Which is fine by me, Advance Auto Parts are the diarrhea of auto parts stores!

Yelp
Took the trip into Beloit on my lunch break today for the sole purpose of seeing what all the hubbub was about surrounding Tacos Gonzalez. Came in with Yelp-inflated expectations and a missed-breakfast-level hunger. I parked in the Auto Zone parking lot the truck is next to and wandered up. My conversation with the unamused (but polite) man at the counter went like this: "What can I get for you?" "Spicy Pork Burrito, please." "You want everything?" "Sure." (he must have noted how unsure I sounded, and was kind enough to give me a second chance...) "So you want cilantro, onion, cabbage, rice, and beans?" "Sounds good." He then asked me for $6.34, which I immediately felt guilty about when I glimpsed the mammoth burrito that came at me from the next window! A mega-sized tortilla filled with enough stuff to actively question my manliness to this extent should easily go for 8 dollars. And it was probably the best burrito I've ever had, complete with all the deliciously fresh, perfectly proportioned aforementioned toppings in gratuitous quantities and a fantastically smoky and spicy chipotle salsa. All from a taco truck next to an auto parts store in Beloit, Wi. Never, ever would have guessed. Yelp and its wonderful community of foodies has done me right once again. Will be stopping here whenever I need a burrito fix at lunch from now on. You should too.

Yelp
Came in there last night to try out the restaurant. After paying 9.00 for a so called margarita that was disgusting we decided to leave and go to LA Cass Grand where everything is wonderful The waitress didn't even offer to change out my drink that was undrinksble. Nevervagain.

Yelp
If you're in Beloit, you're gonna go past some restaurants that look BOSS. You're gonna drive past them and say "hmm." You'll tell yourself that maybe next time you'll try that place...but you won't. You'll drive your trick ass to Advance Auto Parts and get a big burrito from Tacos Gonzalez...every. single. time. Tacos Gonzalez is the undefeated champion of Beloit cuisine.

Yelp
2nd best tacos in Beloit. Easily the best food truck. I love this place. It's one of the main reasons I go to the farmers market.

Yelp
Well, wow. If your ever in Beloit,WI and don't want to eat fast food (which seems like they only other option), then go to the Advanced Auto Parts off of Milwaukee Ave. This place had a little Mexican woman cooking and it was very authentic! I had a beef taco, which was so F'ing good and a chicken taco, which was alright - wished I ordered 2 beef instead though. My brother had the chicken burrito, which from the way he swallowed it seemed to be good. Missing star? I didn't like my chicken taco and they didn't have horchata! If I'm ever in Beloit again though, I will eat here!

Yelp
Usually parked in the Advanced Auto Parts parking lot off the Portland Street bridge, serves authentic and excellent tacos with chopped cabbage and cilantro topping traditional meat choices and an otherworldly chipotle salsa. Not your typical gringo Wisconsin fare. On par with the better taco trucks in the SF Mission.

Miranda K.

Yelp
I've only tried their tacos one other time and have been cravin' them ever since! However, my lunch break begins at 11 and both times I've driven over, the truck is nowhere to be found. :( Can you update your hours here on Yelp so we know when we can find you?!

Yum-o!! Ingredients were fresh and my marinated pork taco was piping hot.

Yelp
As one reviewer stated, now Tacos El Gordo. EXCELLENT corn tortilla, authentic tacos. Menu is no fuss, no muss. Service is fast and friendly. I loved my chicken taco. The steak taco was easily the best I've ever had. A little cilantro heavy but overall amazing. The salsa verde was perfect. A great mix of spicy and tangy. As soon as I have time and the truck is there, I'm stopping!

Bob W.

Yelp
In Beloit, golf rained out. Had a few beers pre-lunch. Drove past turned around, WOW. Totally surprised. Will be coming back, not for the golf

Tina F.

Yelp
Coming from CA it's hard to find really good tacos and burritos here. Until you find this taco truck. Best carne asada tacos and burritos- maybe ever!!

Yelp
Amazing food, large portions for the $$. Love the cabbage addition! Only reason not 5 stars is due to not open for dinner hour(s). Makes it hard on us night shifters to have to run in the middle of our sleep time. Not saying it's not TOTALLY worth it to have a great lunch carry in to work, but still...more hours open, later in the evening, would be AWESOME!! Say: 5-7pm???! I heard on the weekends there are after bar time open hours, too . . .hmmm!!

Kristen G.

Yelp
Best taco truck I've been to yet! Best are their steak. The seasoning they use is amazing! So addicting.

Mary N.

Yelp
Had heard about the Taco Gonzalez food truck-but had not tried it till last week. Wow, what a treat! Awesome steak tacos. The warm tortillas, well spiced steak meat with cilantro & cabbage - Amazing!! I'll be trying the spicy pork tacos next time I'm in Beloit. Oh, and yes, very generous portions.

Yelp
Best thing in the area (not just the tacos) and it's crazy cheap. If you turn this place down there's something wrong with you.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
Best steak tacos around, the meat is shredded to such tiney pieces that it gets these awesome little over cooked flavorful bits, with tiny pieces of fat. It might as well be minced beef bacon...everyone loves bacon!!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Try tongue or spicy pork taco with onion and cilantro. They're at the farmers market on Saturdays too!

Corey G.

Yelp
The best tacos in the stateline, bar none. Steak tacos with the spicy sauce and lime juice is out of this world. The pork is even hotter, so be prepared. A must stop for me when I go to the farmer's market.

Mahalia S.

Yelp
Best burrito i have had since moving to Beloit 7yrs ago. Like another reviewer said it has cabbage in it which was a first for me. The food is reasonably priced and during the Farmer's Market which is located downtown beloit the truck is there every sat. The taco's are also excellent.

Nathan P.

Yelp
DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT. My first try to obtain these "great" tacos was a disaster. My entire family traveled 20 miles and arrived 20 minutes before they were scheduled to close and NO TACO TRUCK to be seen. On our second attempt, at 11:30, a half hour after they opened, guess what? Again, NO TACO TRUCK. We asked the auto parts workers where the truck was, and they told us the Taco truck had changed locations, to the Auto Zone down the street, but they were probably not there either. They said they tend to come and various times not listed on the website. In their words they said, "I guess they just don't like to make money." NO MORE! NO WAY! I don't care how great their tacos are supposed to be, this is no way to run a business. We decided to go to Qdoba and had great service from a place that was open when they said they would be. We will never attempt to go back and will suggest to others that they do not waste their time. Roscoe has Sabrosa, which has fantastic, authentic Mexican food, and there are a great amount of other Mexican style places around there also. Too bad, Tacos Gonzales.
